Our discussion about the animated film Happy Feet leads to some interesting questions, like; Does Mumble kill God, or is he a Christ figure? Is he being punished for the sins of his father? Can a penguin experience ego death? Why do penguins have so many accents? Are aliens gods? Are penguins aliens? Not really. Back in 2007 making a superhero team up movie was not a sure thing. This did not stop Warner Bros, along with Mad Max, Babe, and Happy Feet creator, George Miller from coming up with the first big super hero team up movie "Justice League: Mortal". A writer's strike later, an unknown cast, and a non-committed Australian government would be too tough a foe for Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and friends, and the movie would be lost before a single shot was taken.Join RD as he goes over the script and wonders if we missed out on a potential super hero masterpiece.Download the episode for free.

I declare that my feet are beautifully blessed, because these feet preach the gospel of the good news. I declare that my feet do not remain misguided. For you O' lord have assured me that Your word is a lamp to my feet, And therefore I declare that my feet insistently move towards the revealed purpose of God. They are feet that boldly walk the length and breadth of the inheritance God gives me; with me its own and knowing that everywhere the soles of my feet touch become mine in the name of Jesus. I declare that my steps are secure in the Lord and my feet only go where the presence of God dwells. Thank you Lord for teaching me to wash the feet of my brethren and letting them do the same for me. I declare My feet do not walk in the counsel of the ungodly nor stand in the path of sinners. My feet will not be recruited by the enemy with the aim of achieving his diabolical agendas. My feet do not hasten to devise, to partake or to propagate in evil. My feet are weaponized by the Lord to crush the head of the serpent. So help me Spirit of the Living God. This is Sassy and I pray the release of the Kingdom of God into your life. Now, you would think, following the momentous success of Batman Begins, his period piece about feuding magicians that remains one of his best tricks to date would have been a stellar success... Wolverine's Hugh Jackman versus Dark Knight Christian Bale, and for the low, low price of $40 million; this is a recipe for insane box office gross from the man who would eventually go toe to toe with the plastic pink lady and save cinema in 2023. However, it garnered a paltry $109m from a general audience who in 2006 would far rather go see The Da Vinci Code, Night at the the Museum and the dancing penguins of Happy Feet (also Borat was popular; my wife). This means the odds are a high percentage of our listeners have not seen this film. We would urge you all to do so at once. Spend a proper evening with a big TV in a darkened living rom with the volume high and intense. This is not a film to catch in ten minute chunks on your phone, nor to pass by at Blockbuster on your way to grab Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector. An atmosphere thicker than a whale-omelette, twin obsessions to be the best conjurer the Victorian era had going, spies, stolen encoded journals, Gothic secrets and tragedy, David Bowie doing a Serbian accent as Nikola Tesla, the wizard on the mountain, murder after murder... this film will stick to you like your shadow.

“How different would our world be if every single person played football and grew up in a damn locker room...” Rex Ryan current ESPN Analyst and former NFL Head Coach We got a treat for you today...or as he would some say a God Dam Snack! In today's episode of The Pivot Podcast in partnership with Fanatics, former NFL head coach Rex Ryan, filling in for Fred who's away in London, joins Channing and Ryan for a conversation we never expected to be so in-depth and captivating. An episode full of humor and humility, this discussion isn't just a football fan's dream but it's one to tap into for anyone who's a believer in people, overcoming struggles and fighting internal battles privately while maintaining a tough demeanor on the outside and never being afraid to go toe to toe with anyone. Known for his brash personality, Rex Ryan has always unapologetically been himself which comes with a lot of highs and positives but behind the walls is a story and journey we can all learn from. From growing up in Canada with his mom to dealing with bullies at school to moving with his father Buddy one of the best defensive minds in NFL history to forging his own coaching legacy to being a dad, a husband and locker room leader, Rex opens up like never-before on all the chapters of his life and the ones still unwritten… As the current NY Jets navigate team controversy, Rex takes us through some of the most pivotal moments for him as a man and head coach sharing never-before-heard football stories, defensive mind, motivational tactics, Hard Knocks moments and answering for some of his questionable choices. The one thing Channing wants to know is, why isn't he coaching now? An answer that may surprise you... Having a little fun, Ryan gets Coach to explain some crazy comments he made about Channing back during Dolphins Jets rivalries as Rex peels back the layers of a three-decade-long coaching journey, recounting the highs of taking the Jets to the playoffs and the lingering regret of never winning a Super Bowl. He breaks down his unique coaching style, as seen on Hard Knocks, and emphasizes the importance of physicality and toughness on the field. Rex also shares a personal side of his story, talking about how growing up with dyslexia influenced his creative approach to the game and his ability to problem-solve as a coach. Tackling some unwanted headlines over the years, Rex addresses his infamous private matters leaking publicly and doubles down on how even to this day he loves his wife's feet and isn't afraid to say it. As we wrap the episode, Ryan strikes a chord and the conversation turns emotional as Rex reflects on the pride he feels watching his son follow in his coaching footsteps, continuing the Ryan family legacy and reveals one regret that still weighs on him now. Dan Navarro Live on Game Changers With Vicki Abelson They say you can never go home- they didn't have their old pal Dan Navarro on their show––took me right back to shared memories with Chloris Leachman in the living room, the Mets winning a 2015 playoff game at Dodger Stadium (unlike today), seeing Lori Lieberman at The Grammy Museum, Mike Finnegan at The Levitt Pavilion, NAMM hangs, my book launch, a 12 Step meeting, good food, a few of these here shows before and during the pandemic… It's always warm and comfy as if no time has passed. We touched on Dan's early days, his creative parents, his famous cousin, Dave, a horrific family tragedy, starting out on horns, finding his voice, literally, writing songs, being a singing waiter at The Great American Food & Beverage Company, with a host of others who found success, including Eric Lowen, who would become his partner, and begin their relationship co-writing the iconic, We Belong, and selling it to Pat Benetar, before it came to have a life of its own, putting out 12 albums, touring for decades, also writing for the Bangles and others, before Lowen's untimely death. Dan, through it all, also voiced TV shows, including The Family Guy and American Dad, still to this day, as well as over 100 commercials, sang in the films Happy Feet, two Ice Age pictures, Rio, The Lorax, to name just some. The secret to his success? Go for it. Persistence. The only answer is “Yes.” It's worked pretty well for him. Dan told innumerable stories to exemplify his point. A man of service, Dan has served as SAG-AFTRA's National Vice President of Recording Artists/Singers, and is still on the board, he is a Trustee of the AFM & SAG-AFTRA Intellectual Property Rights Distribution Fund, is a member of the Mechanical Licensing Collective's Unclaimed Royalties Oversight Committee, and is on the board of the Artists rights alliance, and recently spoke before the House Judiciary Committee on AI, where, in solution, he has been quoted requesting, the 3 Cs: Consent, Credit, Compensation. Dan treated us to a passionate We Belong, and a gorgeous Rose In the WIndow, his collaboration with the late Preston Sturges from his latest album, Horizon Line. This time with Dan was heartwarming and soul-filling and will stay with me for a long time to come. Being in Dan's good company is always inspiring, always fun, even if we are in the midst of our Mets/Dodgers rivalry. Go Mets!
