Send us a Text Message. This week we're talking about making use of every bit of produce, from potato peels and mushy bananas, to wilted herbs and dairy on the verge of its best-before date. This episode of Three Kitchens Podcast will help you stretch your dollar by suggesting ways of tossing less out into the compost or trash bin and getting more from the groceries you buy.1. Obviously, composting is a better option than sending things to the landfill. If you don't have time or energy to do anything else with those odds, ends, peels, etc, toss them in a compost bin.2. The easiest way to use up bits and pieces of produce is to make broth. We like to keep a container specifically for this purpose in the freezer.3. We have awesome ideas for using up peels from carrots, potatoes, citrus fruit and garlic. 4. We even have suggestions for using up that milk that is on the verge of going bad, or those sad wilted herbs. Enjoy these ideas for making the most of your groceries! And check out the many other things we talk about in this episode in the links below. This week on the podcast, Heather shares two recipes using low-energy countertop appliances. You don't always need to heat a whole oven to make delicious recipes. First up is a Pork Tenderloin using the Zero Minute Pressure Cooker Method. This cut of meat can be tricky to prepare. It's easy to over-do it and dry it out. This method for pork tenderloin comes from the website pressurecookerrecipes.com (link below) and it's called the Zero Minute Method because you literally set your InstantPot cooking time to zero minutes. The time it takes to come up to pressure and then release that pressure is all the time you need to cook the tenderloin. Pay attention to the internal temperature of your tenderloin and you've got a nicely cooked moist piece of pork for dinner. The second recipe is included in a recipe booklet that comes with the Wonder Oven, a multi-use countertop oven. It's a simple flatbread recipe that you can top whichever way you like. We tried it according to the recipe booklet, which adds za'tar spice into the dough and tops the flatbread with caramelized onion. It's easy to make and if you've made your caramelized onions earlier, takes very little time. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze has been blasted by critics, and while it was beloved by children back in the 90s, what do those kids think now? Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatello take on the Shredder (or spoiler alert: they don't) and try to save New York one more time, while also learning where they came from! Let's imagine a Ninja Turtle movie where they never use their weapons, but are sticklers for observing the traditional pre-fight donut. Clint, Mel, James, and Bob are back with Chuck Norris as he face-kicks his way through South America taking on the cartel. Billy Drago plays the perfect early 90s slimeball cocaine mogul as he sends his endless supply of henchmen to take on Chuck before he seizes his mountains of coke. The movie is a complete departure from Delta Force 1 which tried to say something important, it failed, but at least it tried. What do you think of Delta Force 2? Stephanie, Joe, and the Mayor are back in Perfection alongside Burt Gummer as he continues to have the worst luck ever. No matter how many killer dirtworms (aka Graboids) he takes out, they seem to follow him all over the world. This time, back in his hometown, will he be able to stop them for good? Given that there are 7 Tremor's movies, I'm guessing no. At least we can have fun roasting all of this ridiculousness along the way. What if Ben Affleck amid "misses" Forces of Nature and Bounce, made a heist movie that had plot twists on top of its plot twists, featuring an unhinged Gary Sinise and a young (crazy) Charlize Theron? A recipe for success you might think, but Reindeer Games got blasted by critics, and audiences and it bombed financially. Where did it go wrong? It had a great writer and an all-time director John Frankenheimer. Is it time to re-assess Reindeer Games or does it deserve its spot in the garbage heap of 90's cinema? Imagine the pitch meeting - "It's Santa Claus, right, but this one has muscles!" PRINT THE MONEY! Now, the rest of us are left to pick up the pieces of Hulk Hogan's Santa With Muscles (1996). Previous Hulk Hogan movies had him playing different versions of himself, and here he attempts to act and play a different character. It goes about as well as you'd expect. Many questions will be answered - how did Mila Kunis bury this performance? How can a lawn ornament bench press 300 pounds? Why is Ed Leslie playing an Asian? We'll pull it all apart, and then give out some awards, including our worst actor award, the "Steve Seagal" Trash Can Full of Dirt. Not too many movies out there featuring Jet Li in dreadlocks, but this is where we find ourselves. Even though The One (2001) is rated very low by critics, some swear this is an awesome movie. The movie made us laugh, we're just not sure it was supposed to. It also features one of the best Jet Li fights we've ever seen. We go scene by scene and answer the important questions - how did Jet Li get with Carla Gugino? Why is the only thing different in each parallel universe his hairdo? Why does Jason Statham have hair, and why can't he fight in this? We'll pull it all apart, and then give out some awards, including our worst actor award, the "Steve Seagal" Trash Can Full of Dirt. This week, Erin and Heather welcome guest, Ryan Sanderson, to the show. Ryan is host of the Eat More Barbecue podcast and, dare we call him Alberta's BBQ ambassador? It sure seems to fit! Ryan started his podcast to grow and promote the culture of BBQ in Alberta. Ryan is here to share with us how he was introduced to BBQ and the food, people and culture behind this particular style of cooking. He shares his insider knowledge of what it's like to participate in team BBQ competitions (turns out it's a combination of a little bit of serious competition, a whole lot of serious fun, and of course, seriously good food!). Ryan also shares with us his recipe for Rotisserie Prime Rib with an Herb Paste. Heather made it and highly (highly!) recommends you try it. It's so good, and here's a hot tip: you can make extra paste and freeze it for next time. It's a great way to use up fresh herbs that tend to go bad quickly. If you don't have a rotisserie, no problem - use the herb paste on a roast in your oven. We also learn how we can all level up our own BBQ game (even if we're cooking on a gas grill in the back yard), like how to introduce smoke, and choosing the right charcoal. Be sure to tune in when we continue the BBQ conversation with BBQ competition judge Avery Cochrane! That episode will be available later in April. Following the 2021 season, Feld Motorsports did not renew its sanctioning agreement with the FIM in Monster Energy Supercross. For 2022, the Monster Energy Supercross Championship would go back to exclusive sanctioning through the AMA, and the FIM announced it would look for new partners to keep an FIM World Supercross Championship going. The new partners came in the form of a group called SX Global, which included AUS-X Open principals Adam Bailey and Ryan Sanderson, as well as Tony Cochran, a key figure in the growth of Australia's V8 Supercar auto racing series. Plus, they announced the capital investment of an Abu Dhabi–based company. The group is calling the 2022 events a "pilot season," and it appears it will consist of just two races, one in Wales and one in Australia. Jason Weigandt chatted with Adam Bailey on Thursday morning to hear about the challenges and process of getting the first season going, and what the group hopes to accomplish in the future. Note: Ken Roczen will be participating in the two FIM World Supercross Championship races, but his announcement that he is now a free agent and will not be back with Honda HRC in the U.S. in 2023 came after this interview with Bailey took place. The Racer X Exhaust podcast is presented by Yoshimura, Leatt, and AOMC.
Adam Bailey and Ryan Sanderson have been tirelessly working on taking supercross on a global tour.

The Carolina Panthers training facility project is still in limbo, and a Rock Hill, South Carolina, business owner spoke out about his concerns by writing a letter and sending it to city and county leaders. Ryan Sanderson is the co-founder of the Knowledge Perk coffee shop. In his letter, he asked leaders to work together so the Panthers training facility project doesn't leave Rock Hill. “I'm not just trying to look out for my business and my employees, but I'm trying to look out for my kid's businesses down the road and my grandkid's businesses down the road,” Sanderson explained. “And I don't want us to set a precedent of not being able to communicate with the public and [not] collaborate with each other, and lose something as significant as this deal.” READ MORE: https://www.wcnc.com/article/money/business/small-business/carolina-panthers-training-facility-deal-issues-rock-hill-south-carolina-small-businesses/275-e8625fc7-b755-4ac3-b039-5241321d96f7 The day after slapping Chris Rock on the stage of the 94th Academy Awards, Will Smith issued an apology to the comedian, the academy and viewers at home, saying he was “out of line” and that his actions are “not indicative of the man I want to be.” The fallout of Sunday's show continued Monday as the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences condemned Smith's onstage assault and said it would launch an inquiry into it. Later in the day, Smith gave a stronger apology than he did in his best actor acceptance speech, which notably didn't include apologizing to Rock. Earlier this week, the FIM announced it entered a partnership with promotion group SX Global to create a new racing series, the FIM Supercross World Championship. Although SX Global is a new endeavor by Adam Bailey, Ryan Sanderson, and Tony Cochrane, the Australian group has a history of holding on Supercross races, has been involved with the FIM, and is experienced in motorsports. Bailey and Sanderson were behind the AUS-X Open in Australia and the S-X Open in New Zealand, events that boosted the sport in the Southern Hemisphere and acted as the FIM Oceania International Supercross Championship. Cochrane, meanwhile, served as the founding chairman of the V8 Supercars Championship and helped it become the premier motorsport series in Australia. We rang up Adam Bailey to learn more about the new series for this installment of the Midweek Podcast.

Featuring special guest Chris Polley (https://twitter.com/qhrizpolley) of Film Trace (https://linktr.ee/filmtrace)! Sure, SHERLOCK, JR. is a century-old masterwork of performance, direction, and editing that still rouses today – but it also demonstrates an awareness of its audience that's been rarely seen since. In many ways, it democratized physical comedy and stunt craft in general, which is part of what makes it the case study for the value of human labor in practical effects that it is today. In others, it's also an important entry in the canon of movies about movies and their power to guide and influence behaviors and attitudes.
