On today's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by the Go-2-Guy Jim Moore and Mike Garafolo, NFL Network makes a Friday appearance. Chris Egan, KING 5 has this week off. Puck and Jim open the show discussing Jim's recent visit to Seattle for a health update…he's breaking down! Jim tells a hilarious story about going to a strip club with Detlef Schrempf. They discuss the Pacers win and forcing a game 7 in Oklahoma City and they chat about the Mariners decision to DFA Rowdy Tellez after they activated Luke Raley. Mike Garafolo, NFL Network joins Puck and Jim from his shore house in Jersey as he takes a break for the summer before training camp ramps up next month. The three debate who will have a better upcoming season between Russell Wilson and Aaron Rogers. Also, Garafolo sides with Jim on his Jalen Milroe bet with Puck. Puck and Jim say goodbye to Mike and continue to discuss the Mariners lineup this afternoon vs. the Cubs and how terrible it is with Donovan Solano, Mitch Garver and Dylan Moore. Lastly, Jim's Hot Tub guy makes a surprise visit to the show. Puck says goodbye to Jim and welcomes The Scout to the show for his weekly interview. The Scout currently works for an MLB team and has been in the game for the past 30 years. They open up discussing the Rafael Devers trade, then pivot to the best player The Scout has ever seen. Former Husky Tim Lincecum is brought up by The Scout and he shares his love for Colt Emerson, who he says his glove could play immediately in the MLB. Finally, it's “Hey, What the Puck!?” Thank you, Indiana. Please, please, please bring it home. On today's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Brad Adam of ROOT Sports and Mitch Levy from Mitch Unfiltered joins the live show. Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, will join Puck on Friday's show. Puck opens the show discussing the Mariners game, their recent poor play, Cal's historic season and the inevitable heartbreak and anger tonight watching the Thunder win the NBA title. Brad Adam, ROOT Sports, joins Puck from Chicago and is eager to get this weeks show over so he can go play golf! The M's are off to a rough start in the month of June, but their pitching is getting healthier which is a good sign. Puck wonders why J.P. Crawford had a day off Thursday and why Dylan Moore was hitting leadoff. Even though they were facing Garrett Crochet, Puck still wanted to see Cole Young in the lineup. The Rafael Devers trade sent shockwaves through the baseball world, why weren't the Mariners involved? How active will they be at the deadline and will they trade Harry Ford? If they don't trade Ford, can they please bring him up immediately to replace Mitch Garver. M's offense may be getting some help with the return of Luke Raley. When Raley returns, who's out?Mitch Levy, Mitch Unfiltered, joined Puck during the live show, but Puck only gives you a sneak preview of the episode, which airs in it's entirety during the live show, but once it's podcasted, it's only for Puck's Posse members. Join today at PuckSports.com . On this week's show, Mitch tells a hilarious story about work getting in the way from him not being able to go with his late father to watch the Syracuse basketball team at the Final Four. After Mitch departs, Puck wraps up the show with “Hey, What the Puck!?” Heartbreak in the College World Series last night with the Arkansas team and in particular their left fielder, Charles Davalan. On today's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore and Chris Egan from KING 5. Puck and Jim open the show up with the Go-2-Guy once again doing the show from his brand new He-Shed. They run into some technical issues, but Jim quickly pivots and they chat about the carnage taking place at the U.S. Open and they briefly touch in on the M's and why his mom, who's in town, still likes Dylan Moore. Chris Egan, KING 5, joins Puck and Jim and they joke about Billy Joe Hobert playing at Puyallup, when he actually lived in Orting. That discussion leads them to pivot to the sanctions placed on the Roosevelt High School football program for recruiting violations. They discuss what took place and the current state of high school sports and the desire for parents and school administrators to win at all costs. Puck then welcomes The Scout to the show for his weekly visit. The Scout currently works for a major league baseball team and has been covering the sport for the past 30 years. They chat about the college baseball world series, the sustained success of Oregon State and The Scout recently got down scouting the Everrett Aquasox. Puck concludes the show with “Hey, What the Puck!?” Happy father's day to all Dad's! Sunday is our day. Take it all in. On today's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes weekly guests, Jim Duquette of MLB Network radio and his MLB Insider Ryan Divish, who is on one day earlier than normal because John Canzano will join Puck on Wednesday. Puck opens the show saying he was relieved not to have watched the Mariners game because of how it was so depressing. Puck was coaching his Ballard All-Stars team and they scrimmaged Eastlake LL and Puck is convinced after watching them that they have a legitimate shot at Williamsport. Jim Duquette, MLB Network Radio joins Puck to discuss the M's offensive struggles, something we thought they would be like all season. If the Mariners can't catch the Astros this season will they ever? Who are the sellers in baseball right now? Why doesn't Arizona just consider themselves sellers now and move on. Jim and Puck discuss who is the best team in the AL besides the Yankees and what about the NL, which is way more stacked than the American League. Puck and Jim react to the Denzel Clarke catch for the A's and they discuss whether or not that was the best catch in MLB history. Jim had Justin Hollander on his show Sunday, what indication did he get how aggressive they will be at the deadline and will Harry Ford be dealt?Puck previews this weeks U.S. Open and Puck the Picker Majors pool, which is brought to you by Synthetic Turf Northwest as he playfully stalls because he can't find the Ryan Divish interview he recorded earlier in the morning. Puck also touches in on the Pac-12 news and the eight members signing a grant of rights deal and all reports indicate that a media deal is forthcoming. Once Puck gets done stalling and finally finds the recorded interview, MLB Insider Ryan Divish joins Puck from Havre, Montana, where he currently is on a sabbatical from covering the team to coach his stepsons baseball team. Divish turned 50 last week and Puck wonders how the week has gone for him. The Havre Northstars are on a heater right now and it's all due to his coaching! Puck and Divish talked at length about bunting because Divish actually used it to his advantage in a game and it's funny because Divish hates bunting! They recap the Monday Mariners game and discuss whether or not Jorge Polanco should have bunted in the 10th, the decision for Dylan Moore not to tag in the 11th and they chat about this offense being what they thought it would be when the season started. They chat about the Mariners inability to evaluate major league positional talent properly, Puck has an unpopular opinion on Dom Canzone and Byrce Miller lands on the IL again. Have the Mariners handled his IL situation properly?Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Texas State doesn't do it for me. Sorry. A conversation about Cole Young. Young has been on one hell of a hot streak lately, but we don't expect it to continue. That being said, what are the signs that a prospect is ready? Could Cole Young be called up soon and where would he fit in with this Mariners team? Let's see him slump first and get himself out of it and the Mariners have the luxury of being able to do that right now. If Young does get promoted, it shouldn't be at the expense of Dylan Moore. :30- The Old Judge is here. Because Judge's always work on Tuesdays! Today, it's a special edition as we ask the Ol Judge to weigh in on NFL rules. :45- We close out the show with one last thing.
RUNDOWN Episode 335 opens with a classic Mitch-and-Hotshot cold open built around a unique problem: there's no area code 335. But that doesn't stop Mitch from spinning it into a musical deep dive centered on the new Eddie Vedder Cup, the tongue-in-cheek prize for the Mariners–Padres rivalry. The two riff on San Diego's surprisingly rich musical heritage — from Blink-182 and Stone Temple Pilots to Iron Butterfly and Heart — as Mitch tries to reel in Hotshot with rock trivia and storytelling. Then it's a packed slate of sports. Mitch breaks down the Mariners' stunning three-game sweep of the Padres, with big contributions from unlikely heroes like Dylan Moore and Rowdy Tellez, and serious praise for the bullpen and manager Dan Wilson. Brady Farkas and Joe Doyle join to analyze Seattle's weirdly dominant road performances, the emergence of Brian Woo as a potential All-Star and ace, and what to expect with George Kirby's return. On the football side, Mitch unpacks the Seahawks' 2025 schedule, including an unprecedented ESPN+ Monday Night game with a 10 PM ET kickoff. He also dives into the quarterback gauntlet Seattle won't face — just two of the top 12 QBs from 2024's passer efficiency ratings. Chance Miller, AD at Coastal Carolina, discusses a groundbreaking promotion giving free concessions to football attendees — and how it actually boosts revenue. Mariners' No-Table give their scouting analysis on the Mariners' rotation depth and the likelihood of a Cole Young call-up. Nick Sheridan, Alabama's co-OC, gives us an inside look at Jalen Milroe — his arm, his speed, and what Seattle fans should expect from their rookie quarterback. The episode wraps with “The Other Stuff” — from John Madden: The Movie to Scottie Scheffler's third major win to Brock Purdy's $265 million payday. On today's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy, Rob Staton from SeahawksDraftBlog.com and our MLB Insider Ryan Divish. Puck and Jim start off the show laughing at the offensive surge from Jorge Polanco and the Mariners. It just continues, My Oh My! Jim's wife Kathy crashes the party and Puck wonders why isn't she doing the podcast over Jim! Puck and Jim also dive into the Cougars home football schedule and TV partners and times announced, plus they discuss Bill Belichick's book tour and his psychotic young girlfriend, Tyrese Haliburton's dad running onto the court to confront Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Atlanta Falcons fining their defensive coordinator for his sons prank on Sheduer Sanders. Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftblog.com, joins Puck to wrap up the NFL draft and loves what the Seahawks did over the course of three days. They chat about Grey Zabel's impact, Jalen Milroe's role on the team, the athleticism of the class, and how every pick just made sense for Seattle. Rob heaps a lot of praise at John Schneider and Mike Macdonald. Ryan Divish and Puck discussed the incredible start to the season for Jorge Polanco and the Mariners offense and try to make sense of what they have done. The simple answer is that they don't have any answers for what is going on, but rather they are just sitting back and enjoying the wave of offense. The injuries continue to mount for Seattle with now Dylan Moore and Luke Raley going to the IL. How long will Logan Gilbert be out for and is George Kirby getting closer to coming back? The bullpen needs help and help is on its way with Matt Brash. What's going on with Bryce Miller? It feels like Miller will eventually make a visit to the IL as well. Lastly, Puck and Divish wrap up talking NWA wrestling and their love affair with Dusty Rhodes. Chuck has his predictions: 1. San Antonio 2. Utah 3. Oklahoma City

On a chilly Tuesday night at Great American Ball Park, the Cincinnati Reds secured an 8-4 victory over the Seattle Mariners in the series opener, marking their fourth straight win and pushing their record to 9-8, above .500 for the first time since May 2024. The game was a showcase for Austin Hays, who made a thunderous debut with the Reds after missing the season's first 16 games due to a left calf strain. Signed to a one-year, $5 million contract in January, the 2023 All-Star outfielder proved his worth, going 2-for-4 with four RBIs, including a pivotal three-run homer, and etched his name in Reds history as only the third player since 1920 to drive in at least four runs in his team debut. The Reds trailed early, with Mariners' Dylan Moore hitting a leadoff homer and adding a two-run shot off starter Nick Lodolo, who struggled, allowing four runs over 4 2/3 innings. Seattle's Luis Castillo, a former Reds ace, held a 4-2 lead into the fifth, but Cincinnati's offense, bolstered by Hays and Gavin Lux, flipped the script. Lux, who had four hits, drove in two runs, including an RBI single in the fifth that set the stage for Hays. With two on, Hays crushed a 1-1 fastball from Castillo to center field for a go-ahead three-run homer, giving the Reds a 6-4 lead they wouldn't relinquish. The crowd of 17,205 roared as Hays rounded the bases, signaling his arrival as a key piece in Cincinnati's lineup. The Reds' bullpen sealed the win, with Scott Barlow earning the victory, and Graham Ashcraft, Tony Santillan, and Emilio Pagán combining for scoreless relief. Pagán closed the ninth with ease, retiring the Mariners in order. Despite Moore's two homers and four RBIs for Seattle, their four-game win streak ended as Castillo faltered, allowing six runs in 4 1/3 innings. Hays' debut underscored the Reds' offensive potential, especially with Matt McLain and Alexis Diaz also returning from the injured list. As Cincinnati eyes a strong homestand, Hays' historic night suggests he could be the spark to sustain their momentum. The teams face off again Wednesday, with Nick Martinez starting for the Reds against Bryce Miller.
The tale of 9-toed Norman and the rest of the Wilfongs. The Kraken season came to an end last night and it may have been the most disappointing season in their short history as the expectations heading into it were so high. To the Kraken's credit, they are looking to reward season-ticket holders and showing loyalty to them, which seems to be a rare thing in sports these days. :30- Mariners Morning After: The Mariners 4-game win streak came to a halt in Cincinnati yesterday, despite a 2-home run game from Dylan Moore. Luis Castillo didn't quite have it yesterday, but it wasn't just his pitching, it was between the ears as well. :45- Draftmas Stocking Stuffers- a look at pre-draft rumors from around the league. - Mason Graham got caught working out in a Jacksonville Jaguars t-shirt… a sign of what's to come next Thursday?
Headlines and the latest 12th Man News with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) Gregg joins us 8 days away from the NFL Draft with a look at some of the possibilities for the Seahawks at pick 18. :30- ABCs of the Mariners - D is for Dylan Moore- the M's may have lost to the Reds last night, but Dylan Moore tried to win it single-handedly - E is for Elly- Elly de la Cruz doesn't look real, it's like he is CGI or lab-created. - F is for focus- Luis Castillo occasionally suffers from a lack of focus and last night was one of those nights. Gregory Santos seems to suffer from the same thing, but more often. :45- It's time to get Reckless at Breakfast! The St Louis Cardinals are known for having some of the best fans in baseball, but they aren't showing up, so what have the Cardinals done wrong? #1- they over-committed financially to two players, it didn't work and now they have decided they're done spending. #2- they started limiting TV viewing locally and took away the opportunity for fans to watch the games for free. Let these be warnings to the Mariners as they re-work their TV and keep the purse strings tight.

Who are the pre-agents that clubs are watching this year? On this week's episode of AFL.com.au's hit trade and draft show Gettable, co-hosts Cal Twomey and Riley Beveridge run their eyes over the pre-agents who could potentially become available a year before hitting free agency. From Port Adelaide star Zak Butters, to Carlton running machine Sam Walsh, to Hawthorn's star goalkicker Dylan Moore, who are the pre-agents that club list managers are already keeping tabs on? The Gettable boys also look at the latest developments on Chad Warner's future, question whether Carlton can keep Tom De Koning, and analyse why Adelaide is now the League's next destination club.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It was a helluva week. We do get to the baseball but we take a moment to remind you every day is a good day to join the resistance, and do what you can from where you are. Congrats to the new Hall of Fame class, but is Ichiro rewarding the wrong voter with a drink and a chat? Max and Christian provide an unforgettable afternoon for Little League families in fire-plagued Encino, and Jurickson, Anthony, and Charlie get new gigs. Meet our boyfriends on the Mariners and D'backs. Ippei Mizuhara's crime gets even nuttier, and yet another young baseball fan turns a special baseball memento into a solid college fund. Winter ball winds up at the country level as we move into Caribbean Series mode. And there's just a little crosstraining from the Ohio girl/hockey fan.We say, “I've seen the Sound of Music, I know what fascism looks like,” “be a human billboard,” and, “A daily reminder that I have some power, and it's not just the power of cayenne.” Fight the man, send your game balls to Meredith, get boosted, and find us on Bluesky @ncibpodcast, on Facebook @nocryinginbball, Instagram @nocryinginbball and on the Interweb at nocryinginbball.com. Today's Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett features Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy from a rainy parking lot in Sandy, Oregon. But, he's got his headsets and a microphone and good to go! Puck and Jim open up the show discussing the Cougars effort and challenges of keeping John Mateer in Pullman. Puck argues that the fanbase can make a difference and he believes he'll stay. They also touch in on the breaking news that Abe Lucas has been activated off the PUP list and will play Sunday against the 49ers. How healthy and effective will Lucas be? That remains a big question mark. Puck tells Jim that he missed a great basketball game on Tuesday night between the Mavericks and Warriors with Klay Thompson's homecoming. Crowd was great. The play was sensational. But, on Klay's night, it was Steph Curry stealing the show. Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com, joins Jason “Puck” Puckett for his weekly visit. They discuss the release of Tyrel Dodson. How bad of an offseason did John Schneider have?Does Rob fee like Puck in wanting the team to lose out if they can't get wins in the next two weeks? What will the offseason have in store for D.K. Metcalf and Geno Smith. Rob makes the point that you will have to choose. Lastly, Rob takes a look at the NFL draft and offers his thoughts on a conversation had with Mike Garafolo about the upcoming draft. Ryan Divish, Seattle Times, joins the show for his “Cold Stove” M's offseason chatter with Jason “Puck” Puckett. Divish is once again substitute teaching at his former high school in Havre, Montana. They open up discussing why catcher Cal Raleigh should have won the Silver Slugger Award over Salvador Perez. The conversation then turns to their offseason look at the third base position. Currently the only internal option to play third base is Josh Rojas. Ryan thinks they'll bring Rojas back but he won't primarily be the third baseman and that they will have to find another option there, most likely via a trade. Ryan believes you could have a situation where Rojas and Dylan Moore will platoon at second base. Ryan also gets into the teams desire to bring Justin Turner back and their preference to trade Luis Castillo in the offseason. And, Divish contemplated the idea that Puck brought up about trading for Phillis third baseman Alec Bohm. Would that be a good fit for the M's?Lastly, Puck wraps up with “Hey, What the Puck!?” It's time for Cougar fans to get out and support their players. If you want John Mateer to stay and continue to be the starting quarterback for the Cougars well into the future, then join the Cougar Collective today!

Bob and Dave break down why the Seahawks have lost five of their last six games following their heartbreaking overtime loss, they ask if there is anything fixable about the Seahawks failing offensive line, they try to figure out what is going on with Geno Smith right now after his postgame apology to Seattle, and they celebrate Cal Raleigh and Dylan Moore’s Gold Glove awards.
Wyman and Bob discuss Sunday’s week 6 games across the NFL and talk about what they learned from the league, they give some Seahawks injury updates regarding the defensive backs, they react to Cal Raleigh and Dylan Moore being named Gold Glove finalists and the two major trades involving wide receivers in the NFL today when they Take Two, they discuss how the loss of Byron Murphy has affected the Seahawks so far, then they talk about the MLB Postseason’s TV ratings and how they’ve improved.
Wyman and Bob are joined by Seahawks linebacker Tyrel Dodson to talk about the Seahawks mini bye week and what fixes need to be made to the Seahawks defense, they look at the biggest storylines from Around the NFL including Aaron Rodgers putting the blame on his receiver Mike Williams for last night’s late interception, the Jets now shopping Mike Williams, and more, then they take a look at the linebacker position and evaluate how its evolved over the years, how the Seahawks can improve the run defense and more when they Roll the Tape, then they discuss Cal Raleigh and Dylan Moore being named Gold Glove finalists and wonder if either of them have a chance to actually win the award.
