Mike Sarraille served 20 years in special operations as a Recon Marine, scout sniper, Navy SEAL, and troop commander in Delta Force. He graduated number one out of three hundred in Marine boot camp, fought in some of the worst firefights of the Iraq War, and broke four world records skydiving across seven continents in under seven days. Then he started a company. Joe De Sena sits down with Mike to hear why he says building a business with no budget and no guaranteed resources is harder than anything he faced in combat, how he scaled a data center staffing company from fifty employees to five hundred in eighteen months, and what the tier-one military teaches about team performance that most corporate leaders get wrong. Things You Will Learn: Why a Delta Force troop commander says entrepreneurship tested him more than combat, and what specific skills transferred and which did not. The difference between warfighters and warriors, and why combining both creates the leaders people actually follow. Why productive conflict inside a high-performing team is the system itself, not a sign that something is broken. Tools & Frameworks Covered: Shared Hardship Bonding: Psychology shows that teams bonded through shared adversity build trust that cannot be replicated through offsites or team dinners. Find controlled hardship your team can experience together. Iron Sharpens Iron Selection: Always find a group where you are the underperformer. Clear the bar they hold as the standard. Then find the next group above that. Conflict as Operating System: High-performing teams fight over ideas constantly. The mission prevails, not individual egos. If everyone agrees all the time, the team is underperforming. If this episode moved you, do not just listen. Do something about it. Sign up. Show up. Do the work. Spartan.com. No more excuses. He graduated number one out of three hundred in Marine boot camp, deployed multiple times to Iraq, and led the Triple Seven Expedition, skydiving across all seven continents in six days, six hours, and six minutes to break four world records. After leaving the military, he built and sold an executive search firm, wrote three books, The Talent War, The Everyday Warrior, and Teams, and now serves as Chief Talent Officer at Overwatch, a data center staffing company he scaled from fifty to five hundred employees in under eighteen months. He ranked number three globally for leadership speaking. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi spent years slaughtering civilians, beheading hostages, and stoking sectarian war in Iraq while slipping through every net. In June 2006 a small Delta Force surveillance team, backed by intelligence from relentless SAS and JSOC raids, fixed him in a palm-grove safe house outside Baqubah. Two F-16s finished the job, and the “find, fix, finish” machine that had already gutted AQI's leadership claimed its biggest scalp.
Delta Force operator Tom Satterly explains the real difference between tier one special forces units in this most replayed moment, a segment viewers keep returning to from his full interview. In this popular clip, the Delta Force operator breaks down how elite tier one units approach close quarters battle, the split-second choreography of clearing a room, and why the enemy never gets a chance to make a decision once the door comes off. He lays out the hierarchy of special operations, from SEAL Team 6 and Delta at the tier one level, through Rangers and Green Berets at tier two, down to the conventional forces, and explains why so few operators ever reach the top. The conversation then turns inward. He describes a training culture with no schedule and no one telling you what to do, an organisation full of leaders driving themselves to be better every single day. He is honest about the cost of that mindset, the way you build yourself up physically whilst tearing yourself down mentally, and the reality of life after the unit, when the train you gave everything to keeps hauling down the tracks without you. As America recently marked its 250th anniversary, Dr. Zach Clinton sits down with Lt. Gen. (Ret.) William "Jerry" Boykin, a 36-year Army veteran, original member of Delta Force, former commander of both Delta Force and Army Special Forces, and former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence, for a conversation on what freedom truly costs and who's responsible to carry it forward. General Boykin reflects on his calling into military service, leadership lessons forged in some of the most high-stakes special operations in modern U.S. history, and the invisible wounds such PTSD, survivor's guilt, hopelessness, and moral injury that so many veterans carry home. The conversation turns candid as he shares what kept his faith anchored after witnessing real darkness, and what it means to be a warrior in God's Kingdom, not just on the battlefield. Now serving as Executive Vice President of the Family Research Council and continuing his ministry as an ordained pastor, Boykin speaks to a possible Great Awakening stirring across America and why he believes it will be sustained not by politics, but by strong marriages and Christ-centered homes. He closes with a direct charge to the next generation of fathers, mothers, pastors, and leaders on what to remember for such a time as this. It's a rare, unguarded look at where courage, conviction, and faith intersect from a man who has spent his life defending freedom on two fronts: physical and spiritual. It wasn't the smoothest hit and run operation, but we saw off the attempted Carrjacking. Time to Restump Podcast the procuring of the points from the plucky Port Power players. While our mission to get into south Australia, secure the four points and get out again took a similar amount of time, we weren't exactly Delta Force commandos, executing a flawless raid and capture of Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela!Sometimes you simply have to battle the monotony monster in the mind and just win. Sometimes no thrills or frills pays the bills. That was pretty much the summary of the comfortable win over Josh Carr's cabal. There was an air of supremacy about us and a sense of formality and while they're habits we don't want creeping in, to be fair, it's hard to be critical.Port Adelaide had nine of their best 23 out. No Zak Butters, no Jason Horne-Francis, no Connor Rozee and no Mitch Georgiades! So, it is a tad forgivable for allowing an infection of momentary complacency. However, they belted us in the midfield which kind of makes you raise half an eyebrow. Was it a symptom of the situation? It's not nothing but is it any real cause for concern? Does it just provide us with beneficial feedback to work on before finals? But we're a ‘focus on the positives' posse at the Restump and they came in the form of Luke Jackson, Jye Amiss and Izzy Dudley.Luke Jackson, single handedly turned the tables and carjacked the Carrjackers in the 3rd quarter! But him telling his mids at half time he was going to do it and to be ready for it, that is something we're all here for.Jye Amiss arriving predominantly over recent weeks is something special and it only enhances our September chances. And we've said it before and we'll say it again, Izzy Dudley is as clever as Murphy Reid. His inability to waste a possession is top drawer and it's a rarity that something good doesn't occur from a Dudley involvement! We took the points, we put an almost insurmountable lead on the comp for the minor premiership race and now we look to keep on trucking towards Friday night's Derby, otherwise known as the West Coast fans grand final, whether they admit it or not.And what an encounter it may be! The Eagle fans are high on hope after a string of self-destructive performances masquerading as honourable losses, and they'll bring their nothing to lose mentality, their whinny manner, backpacks full of arrogance and an overinflated sense of entitlement. So, if you want to block out the constant shrieking of West Coast fans complaining about Harley Reid not getting a free kick for being tripped by a step, feel free to swap their noise for ours. We can't guarantee you'll be better , but at least you'll be getting a better quality of nonsense. Send us Fan MailSupport the show
Kyle Morgan spent over twenty years in the Army. Infantry, then Green Beret, then more than a decade in the nation's premier special missions unit running hostage rescue. In 2015 he was advising the U.S. Embassy in Mali when terrorists took the Radisson Blu hotel. He built a team on the fly and went in. The award for that was the Distinguished Service Cross, second only to the Medal of Honor. Today he runs Blu Bearing, trains police and civilians, and serves on the board of Frontline Healing Foundation. When the job ends the machine has already forgotten about you, and he'll tell you that isn't cruel because it has to forget you to keep moving. The guys who come apart are the ones still trying to replace something that can't be replaced. He didn't leave the way he wanted to. There was addiction, a DUI he hid, and an overdose that nearly ended it, and his old command circled the wagons around him more than once before he finally made it out. Sobriety and faith are what brought him back, almost five years of it now, and he spends his time pointing at the cost so the next guy doesn't pay it blind. He'll tell you he's more proud of the husband and father he is today than anything he ever did downrange. In this episode of The Jess Larsen Show on Innovation & Leadership, Jess sits down with Rich Diviney, retired Navy SEAL, former SEAL Team Six operator, founder of The Attributes Training Company, and author of The Attributes and Masters of Uncertainty. Rich breaks down the difference between skills and attributes, and why elite performance is not just about what someone knows how to do, but whether they have the internal wiring to perform when pressure, chaos, and uncertainty hit. Drawing from his experience running selection at SEAL Team Six, Rich explains why some of the most talented operators still do not make it through, and what separates those who can adapt, recover, learn, and execute under extreme conditions. Jess and Rich also explore the psychology of high-performing teams, the difference between elite and special, how SEAL Team Six and Delta Force approach selection differently, and why attributes like learnability, resilience, compartmentalization, empathy, caring, discipline, and task switching shape performance in every field, not just the military. This is a fascinating conversation about leadership, human potential, uncertainty, and how to understand yourself and your team at the deepest level. Whether you are building a company, leading people, developing talent, or trying to perform better under pressure, Rich offers a powerful framework for knowing where you are a rock star, where you are a doofus, and how to build the right team around you. In today's episode, Jordan sits down with Mike Glover, former Special Forces Green Beret, former CIA contractor, and founder of Fieldcraft Survival, for a conversation on elite military training, Delta Force, survival psychology, faith, and the long road back to civilian life. Mike Glover takes us from a North Carolina childhood spent playing soldier to a five year journey earning the Green Beret, guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Solider as badge holder 470, and serving across nine combat rotations in Afghanistan and Iraq. He shares the reality of Robin Sage training, building host nation forces with the Iraqi Counterterrorism Force, standing up a counter terrorism programme in Libya the month after Benghazi, and the technical reconnaissance work he and Tu Lam carried out inside Delta Force, including a now declassified DARPA drone project that involved a vulture. This is also a deeply honest account of what comes after the uniform. Mike opens up about losing his identity in transition, the night he hit rock bottom alone on an air mattress, finding his way back through hot yoga, faith in Christ, and the medicine that helped him heal. He breaks down the 10-80-10 rule of survival psychology, his philosophy of operating the outdoors rather than just surviving it, and the three priorities every veteran should rebuild first. This is the official VIC 4 VETS Honor Roll, highlighting our Honored Veterans during Veterans Appreciation Month. SUBMITTED BY: Listener Bob________________________________________________________________ Vic and Ken,I've thoroughly enjoyed and deeply appreciate the fact that this has been a weekly event for quite a while, and that it's now a daily occurrence during the month of June is just a phenomenal idea! Thank you both so much for that! It's very possible that I've missed any segment that may have mentioned the unsung heroes of so many U.S. Military Combat Operations, the K-9 Warrior. I'd like to take the opportunity to recognize the innumerable brave, intelligent, and Fearless members of the Armed Forces, which have served in every war since the American Revolution, in one form or another...as well as in other worldwide conflicts throughout human history. The story of the Military Working Dog (MWD) in US Forces officially began on March 13, 1942. That’s when the U.S. Army launched its War Dog Program during World War II, though canines have served honorably for much longer than that...including Sgt Stubby, a stray Boston Terrier Mix who served in WWI - he served in 17 battles, alerting troops to incoming gas attacks before humans could detect them, comforting wounded soldiers, and even capturing a German spy by biting him and refusing to let go until soldiers could capture him. Stories abound of our magnificent K9 companions serving honorably and selflessly in WWI and WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan (including the Belgian Malinois with nerves of steel, Cairo, who was part of SEAL Team 6’s historic mission to eliminate Osama bin Laden...and another Belgian Malinois, Conan - who played a critical role in the Delta Force raid that eliminated the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, only two of the many, many canines who've served selflessly and honorably, even while mortally wounded in some cases. The stories of these amazing K9 heroes remind us that courage and sacrifice aren’t limited to humans. For over a century, military working dogs have saved lives, detected danger, and provided unwavering loyalty to the soldiers they served alongside. Whether charging into battle, shielding their handlers, or using their sharp instincts to prevent catastrophe, these dogs have played a vital role in American military history." I get lost reading stories of them, there are so many. We as humans cannot possibly thank our deserving Canine Companions enough just for our interactions with them in our daily humdrum lives; their amazing contributions to human society in wartime is the well-earned and well-deserved stuff of legends. Here are some of the other K9 Heroes featured on pawpularcompanions.biz: Sgt. You can read about many of the amazing K9 Veterans by going to: www.pawpularcompanions.biz and search “K9 Veterans” If they've been covered already and I missed it, I apologize...if not, is it possible that Vic could do a segment honoring these wonderful warriors of ours? Thank you both for the show in general, and especially for honoring our many veterans who've sacrificed so much in service to America, and God Bless America! ______________________________________________________________ Today's VIC 4 VETS Honor Roll Inductees, Honored Veterans on NewsTalkSTL.With support from our friends at: Alamo Military Collectables, Gemini Wealth Group H.E.R.O.E.S. Militarized drones have drastically changed the battlefield—but the rapidly evolving technology is also creating dangerous new threats right here at home. With massive summer events on the horizon, including the World Cup and the upcoming UFC match on the White House South Lawn, detecting and deterring potential attacks from above has become a top priority for national security officials. Drone expert, former Delta Force intelligence analyst, and FOX News Contributor Brett Velicovich joined FOX News' Lucas Tomlinson on the FOX News Rundown recently to break down how easily adversaries can acquire and weaponize these devices. Velicovich also explains how ongoing global conflicts—like the war in Ukraine and tensions with Iran—are serving as a testing ground for rogue drone tactics, and whether U.S. security officials are truly prepared to protect the homeland. We often have to cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full conversation. Dan & Manny welcome back longtime friend & Nostalgia Test Podcast all-star Steve Herrera to put The Delta Force (1986) & Sidekicks (1992) to the ultimate test—THE NOSTALGIA TEST! “I feel like we were fed a pack of fucking lies as kids.” -Manny Coelho In honor of Chuck Norris' life, the boys decided to do a double feature of his movies and, oh boy, not so sure if this was a good idea. The Delta Force & Sidekicks are examples of two very different parts of Chuck Norris' career, the mass explosions fighting stereotyped bad guys one-liners guns guns guns film and the “comedy” making fun of marginalized groups stereotyped characters weird sexual undertones one liners what is the plot movies. Sure, Dan & Manny could have done a really good movie of Chuck Norris' like Lone Wolf McQuade, but is that even good? Dan, Manny, & Steve try to figure out what these two movies are actually about, they wrestle with the fact that our collective nostalgia for the 80s and 90s is possibly clouding the social judgement of what's actually good from our childhoods, and Dan lays down the law about the Nostalgia content creator community. They also take down gym teachers, tell a funny story of actual quicksand at their high school in Mineola, and try to deal with the high amount of racism that these two movies seem to be able to pack in for some reason. Also, what they hell is The Delta Force even about? Is Sidekicks a mass hallucination, Joe Piscopo (that's all that needs to be said), and why is the dad character in Sidekicks one of the most useless characters in cinema history. The guys give major props to the late great Jonathan Brandis for acting his ass off and they name the true sidekick of Sidekicks. So, grab a plate of scrambled eggs a la The Delta Force, prepare for some intense hallucinations, breathe deeply, and set some bricks on fire because this might be the episode that destroys the guys' will Email us (thenostalgiatest@gmail.com) your thoughts, opinions, & episode idea for The Wheel of Nostalgia! Justin Klahn is hard to put in a box. Twenty years inside Nike Innovation. Years embedded with JSOC units building gear that had to actually work. Time consulting with three-letter agencies, DARPA, and the Harvard Learning Innovations Laboratory. A run working directly for Kanye West. He calls himself a problem solver, and the resume backs it up. His new book is Innovator's Handbook. We open on the divorce conversation, the kind of failure neither of us wished for, and what it takes to show up for a partner the second time around. From there it gets wide. The competition mindset that separates the top of the JSOC food chain from everyone else. What it's actually like to sit in a room with Kobe, with Tinker, with Kanye. The Nike origin stories most people don't know — the real Jordan re-signing, the Pantry, the relationship between Phil Knight and Steve Jobs. We dig into the supernatural. Faith. Conspiracy and control. How a guy who advises high-stakes operators stays open enough to consider anything but grounded enough to still get the work done. And we end on the AI workflow he used to write a book in two weeks — and what that says about where the world is going. Tyler Grey, former Delta Force operator, Ranger, sniper, actor, and one of Hollywood's most trusted military advisors, tells Chad Robichaux the full story behind SEAL Team, Suicide Squad, The Gray Man with Ryan Gosling, and the near-fatal Iraq raid that ended his military career 20 seconds from bleeding out.In this episode of The Resilient Show, Tyler and Chad go deep on the Delta Force selection process (the Long Walk), what "calm in chaos" really means at the Tier 1 level, why Tyler calls Hollywood "the largest psyops campaign in the history of the world," and his original theory that most combat veterans don't have PTSD, they have LTSD (Lack of Traumatic Stress Disorder). A concept Tyler coined after spending 3–4 years working out why the standard diagnosis never fit him or the guys around him.Tyler also opens up about the MAC makeup store moment that broke him after Delta Force, the four things every veteran loses when they transition out (purpose, identity, brotherhood, worth), the 45 seconds he had left to live on a back patio in Sadr City, why Ryan Gosling is "the single best shooter I've ever taught," the "trophies" every high-performer collects to cover a self-worth wound, and his new company that's about to launch a pistol sight that's will change the game.TYLER GREY'S BOOK:- Forged in Chaos (paperback + audiobook narrated by Tyler): https://a.co/d/06ddsXfN FOLLOW TYLER GREY:- Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tyleragrey- YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tyleragreyCHAD ROBICHAUX'S NEW BOOK — "RIPTIDE":- https://www.tyndale.com/p/riptide/9781496488756THE RESILIENT SHOW is hosted by former Force Recon Marine and Mighty Oaks Foundation founder Chad Robichaux. Join us for a special episode of Roundhouse Roulette as we come together at CD's Bar & Grill to celebrate the life, legacy, and legend of Chuck Norris. In the wake of his passing at age 86, we take time to reflect on the man who shaped not only Walker, Texas Ranger, but our podcast—and, in many ways, our lives. We revisit Chuck's incredible journey—from a shy kid in Oklahoma to Air Force serviceman, world karate champion, and ultimately one of the most iconic action stars of all time. Along the way, we dig into his film career (Delta Force, Missing in Action, Lone Wolf McQuade) and the wild, genre-defying brilliance of Walker, Texas Ranger—a show that gave us everything from roundhouse kicks to aliens, Nazis, and jetpacks. We share tributes from fans, castmates, and fellow action legends, revisit classic clips, and, of course, break down some all-time “vehicular transference” moments. We also reflect on Chuck's deeper impact—his humility, his philosophy, and his work with programs like Kickstart Kids that continue to help young people find direction and strength. From personal stories (including Adam's unforgettable encounter with Chuck himself) to the enduring absurdity and joy of Chuck Norris jokes, this episode honors the larger-than-life legacy of Chuck Norris. At the end of the day, we're celebrating more than a TV star—we're honoring a true original whose legacy will live on in every roundhouse kick, every outlandish plotline, and every fan he brought together. The Defense Department data showed that Fort Bragg had far more overdoses than any other military base in both absolute and per capita terms." In this hard-hitting episode, Joe exposes the raw frustration millions of Americans feel: a working mother earning $60,000 a year who can't afford her daughter's medical procedure, while illegal immigrants receive handouts and entitlements that create deep division. With Congress doing nothing and leaders seemingly indifferent to everyday families, Joe plays Trump's blunt comments on Medicaid, daycare, and endless wars asking the tough question: why are we still fighting foreign wars while Americans get pushed to the back of the line? He also celebrates a major legal win for Tina Peters as the Colorado Court of Appeals reverses her sentence, ruling it was improperly influenced by her free speech.Delta Force operator, Green Beret, and elite “fixer” Dale Comstock joins the show for a no-holds-barred conversation. Drawing from 35 years of combat experience across Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Yemen, Dale breaks down the red flags in the current Middle East chaos involving Israel, Iran, and Hezbollah — and how it's directly threatening American security at home through borders, cartels, and terror networks. He shares practical steps everyday Americans can take right now to protect their families, the critical mindset shift needed in these uncertain times, and exactly what patriots must do before the situation escalates further.Former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin joins us and discusses the pipe bomber investigation and fresh data points about FBI surveillance. From domestic struggles and election integrity to elite operators calling out national security threats, this episode delivers unfiltered truth and actionable insight you won't hear anywhere else.
We've got a new FEMA chief who believes he has telekinetic powers. In other DHS news, the likely new secretary has been stealing Delta Force valor but you can't catch him on it because the truth is too classified, and Trump is sending ICE to be the new TSA.
