Shannon Rae is not currently on the mail run. But her epsiode more than belongs on a Thursday as she's been on the mail run on three seperate occasions, at three different properties. Shannon has also been on three of the seven mail runs that leave from Julia Creek. We should probably investigate to see if anyone can beat her! Plus, she's still a part of our mail run book club. Shannon has been flooded in at her home at Claraville, Croydon, for months in 2023 but did give me some of her time when she finally escaped by chopper. We talked about mail a lot - which I loved! And how Shannon came to visit for one week, drank the water, and is still here 20 years later. You can follow More Than Mail adventures on Instagram, on Facebook, or at morethanmail.com.au Or, you can send me an email hello@morethanmail.com.au More Than Mail will be back on Monday.

How the self-development industry chains us to the never ending cycle of destination living, and how you can get off the hamster wheel for good. Discover the distinct difference between power and control in your everyday life, what the Four Principles of Power are, and how consciously trading in these two currencies is the secret to liberating your soul and amplifying your life. Walk away with 5-minute daily challenges that will revolutionize your relationship with power, and help you stop trading in the currency of control; limiting yourself and your relationships. While she is dynamic and highly versatile, a survivor of trauma herself and a CEO of two successful companies, ShannonRae is best known for her striking combination of energy, passion and ability to create measured excellence in others Testimonial: Testimonial #2: I help people with: Client Success Examples: Today's Special Offer: Take aways from todays episode: Power is a source; it’s internal and liberates (or amplifies) anything it touches. Control is a force; it’s external and limits everything it touches. (Most) Self-Development subtly teaches us that to achieve anything, to be free, to amplify something, to be anything, to have anything we must: start something, stop something, be something, change something, etc. I teach that “You already are all you need to be, right where you are.” That’s the truth of power. . . . The Four Principles of Power are: Choice, Ownership, Equality and Presence. To experience the gifts of true power (unlimited, sustainable, growth oriented, organically self-perpetuating results) we must practice the four principles of power, and one critical contingency. The contingency that they are like being pregnant, there is no half pregnant. Each principle must be activated and applied to experience the results of power. If you are practicing one but not the others you are still trading in control, and will experience the results of control. Some of the indicators of Control (the opposite of power) are: impatience, frustration, irritation, judgment, guilt, blame, wanting something in our way, on our time, etc. When we find ourselves feeling these things, they are indicators that we are trading in the currency of control over power. Anytime we tie ourselves to something external; a situation, circumstance, person or destination – the one we’re running from or the one we’re running to – we’ve engaged in control and limited ourselves, our results and our experience. Three 5-minute challenges one can do to shift from control to power (once you notice one of those indicators) are: 1. Turn Fault into Focus (We can talk about how you do this in 5 minutes a day, for 24 hours to shift your entire experience of life). 2. Turn Shoulds into Coulds and then into a Choice. Should is a judgment. Could is a choice. Choice is a commitment. (I have a 5-minute exercise people can do to practice releasing judgment and engaging in conscious choice and thus power.) 3. Turn challenges into opportunities. “It Is What It Is. So What? Now What?” (This is a practice you can do anytime you find yourself below the line emotionally. The practice reminds us to surrender and accept the moment for what it is. Make a choice of what to do now.) Do each of these 5-minute exercises several times a day for 24 hours straight and it will revolutionize your relationship with power. You will shift from trading in control, to trading in power. You will shift from limitation to liberation, from mediocrity to magic. The key is to practice these in your everyday practical life: when driving in the car, dealing with your teenager, talking to your lover, producing results at work, passing a stranger, etc. Offer link:

A California girl with a country heart, Shannon Rae lights up a stage. Whether displaying strength or vulnerability, she passionately taps into the power and emotion of her songs with a clear command of her voice and presence. As a singer-entertainer for most of her life, she is a former Miss Long Beach, three time Miss Hot Rod Magazine, and an accomplished nationally recognized model. Modeling was the money maker, but music was always her calling when Demimonde, the pop act brainchild of Shuki Levy (Saban Entertainment) came to life and recruited Shannon to join the group. From there, she recorded with the three girl country bar band Sweet Water Junction, and then met renowned producer and musician Marty Rifkin (Bruce Springsteen, Glen Cambell, Leanne Rhimes) who co-wrote some of her earliest songs. In the past few years Shannon has been collaborating with songwriter, producer, and band mate Dave Polich, while touring throughout the southwest in a very successful tribute band. Together, they have co-written an impressive catalog of Country Rock-Americana songs. With original style and direction, Shannon’s brand of country music influenced by such icons as Linda Ronstadt, Trisha Yearwood, Sheryl Crow, Wynonna, and Reba McEntire gained the attention of Michael Vail Blum from Los Angeles based record company Music Master Exchange, who signed Shannon to a recording contract saying, “Shannon has a unique, stand out tone that really delivers on this fantastic collection of Americana tunes”. The release of Shannon Rae, takes her career to the next level as a seasoned singer and performer at the peak of her talents. The 14 cuts on the album are an eclectic mix of up-tempo, mid-tempo and ballads, inspired by life, love, heartbreak and fun.
