On this episode of Nothing Major, John, Stevie, and Sam recap Tommy Paul and Paige Lorenze's “wedding of the summer” before checking in on the Wimbledon final bracket standings and teasing upcoming punishments for Isner at Wimbledon and Stevie at Roland-Garros. The guys then review their grass-court “buy/sell” picks, breaking down misses on Cam Norrie and Medvedev, debating Lerner Tien's stock, and looking back at where their predictions went right and wrong. They also discuss who's now the best active player without a Grand Slam title after Zverev's Roland-Garros win, landing on Casper Ruud while comparing him with Tsitsipas and Fritz and revisiting retired contenders like Ferrer, Berdych, and Marcelo Rios. Plus, they guess players' pre-match music choices, tease next week's pop-culture name game, and answer fan questions about Wimbledon towels, ball-selection rituals, saying “we” for sports teams, and the possibility of a one-point-slam-style influencer event.00:00 Show Intro and Agenda00:27 Wedding Weekend Recap02:42 Bracket Punishments Talk03:39 Jack and Ad Reads05:38 Grass Stock Review Picks11:20 Best Without a Slam14:41 Guess Their Walkout Music18:11 Jovic Folk Music Guess18:45 Keys And Swiftie Talk19:13 Shelton Rap Debate20:32 Fritz Fake Playlist Theory21:18 Tommy Paul 80s Rock21:40 Quinn And Tien Picks25:16 Sam Tech Issues26:58 Rocky Movies Detour27:57 Fan Q Towels At Wimbledon30:28 Ball Selection Rituals31:41 Stop Saying We Won33:04 One Point Slam Idea34:27 Wrap Up And 100k Push

Born on June 3, 1982 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Davey Jones brings the rich musical heritage of the Deep South to every stage he steps on. A true multi-instrumentalist, Jones is best known for his searing guitar playing but also masters drums, piano, bass, organ, and more — often performing and recording nearly every instrument on his releases himself. Drawing from Southern Rock, traditional Blues, Gospel, and Country, he has forged a distinct and powerful sound that pays homage to the greats while remaining unmistakably his own. With more than 30 years of writing and performing, Jones has built a reputation for high-energy, soulful shows that connect deeply with audiences. From his early days playing in Southern churches and gospel groups to rocking county and blues stages across the region, his journey has led him to share bills and stages throughout the United States. His dynamic live performances and genuine connection with fans have become his signature — a philosophy best captured in his own words: “It's simply not enough to put on a good show, you've got to involve the audience and make them feel like the show is dedicated to them. Because, at the end of the day, this show is for them.”Jones' talent has been recognized with accolades including “Most Talented Musician” for the state of Louisiana in 2000. His playing draws favorable comparisons to blues and rock icons such as Tab Benoit, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Chuck Berry. His music has received airplay on “Blues Legends” radio and major blues playlists, further cementing his place among today's most compelling blues and roots artists.Whether headlining clubs, festivals, or theaters, Davey Jones delivers the kind of authentic, roof-raising performances that remind fans why they fell in love with the blues.https://daveyjonesmusic.com

An uncensored Hollywood tell-all filled with explicit tales of love, sex, and revenge from the video vixen made famous by Warrant's rock anthem “Cherry Pie.”SHE'S MY CHERRY PIE. Tastes so good, make a grown man cry. Who could forget the sexy “Cherry Pie” girl from hair metal band Warrant's infamous music video? Bobbie Brown became a bona fide vixen for her playful role as the object of lead singer Jani Lane's desires. With her windblown peroxide mane, seductive scarlet lips, and flirtatious curves, she epitomized every man's fantasy. But the wide-eyed Louisiana beauty queen's own dreams of making it big in Los Angeles were about to be derailed by her rock-and-roll lifestyle. . . . Ever wonder what it 's like to f*** a rock star? After her tumultuous marriage to Jani imploded, and her engagement to fast-living Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee ended in a drug haze—followed by his marriage days later to Pamela Anderson—Bobbie decided it was time Hollywood's hottest bachelors got a taste of their own medicine. Step one: get high. Step two: get even. In a captivating, completely uncensored confessional, Bobbie explicitly recounts her encounters with some of the most famous men in Hollywood: Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner, Mark McGrath, Dave Navarro, Sebastian Bach, Ashley Hamilton, Rob Pilatus of Milli Vanilli, Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, Orgy's Jay Gordon, and many more. Who's got the most titanic dick in Tinseltown? Whose bedroom did Bobbie (literally) set on fire? No man was off limits as the fun-loving bombshell spiraled into excess, anger, and addiction. Bobbie survived the party—barely—and her riveting, cautionary comeback tale is filled with the wildest stories of sex, drugs, and rock and roll ever told.https://amzn.to/4dKkedGBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

For the entire month of March, the guys at Not A Bomb are throwing it back to their old Movie Matchup format—pitting notorious box office bombs against each other in a battle for redemption. Two flops enter… only one survives. There can only be one!Crank up the amps, listeners, because this week we're going full volume with a double feature of rock‑and‑roll misfits: Airheads and The Rocker. That's right, Troy and Brad are diving into two cult‑leaning comedies about musicians who refuse to let obscurity, bad decisions, or basic common sense get in their way.Airheads (1994)Directed by Michael Lehmann and starring Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Michael McKean, Ernie Hudson, Judd Nelson, and Joe Mantegna, this ‘90s cult favorite asks the truly important questions: What happens when your band can't get airplay and your best plan is… taking a radio station hostage? How did one movie manage to pack in this many iconic comedic faces? And why, despite all the chaos, does it still feel painfully relatable to every band that's ever played a half-empty club while their drummer argues about artistic integrity? The Rocker (2008)Directed by Peter Cattaneo and starring Rainn Wilson, Christina Applegate, Josh Gad, Emma Stone, Teddy Geiger, Jeff Garlin, and Jane Lynch, this one brings the arena‑rock energy with a side of midlife crisis. The MatchupFrom hostage‑taking metalheads to a washed‑up drummer chasing redemption, the guys break down which film hits the right notes, which one bombs, and which earns the coveted weekly crown. It's an episode packed with laughs, nostalgia, big hair, bigger egos, and enough rock‑movie absurdity to fill a stadium. We Want to Hear From YouGot a cinematic flop you want us to tackle? Frankie Ballard burst onto the country rock scene in 2010 with grit in his voice and gasoline in his veins, scoring three consecutive No. 1 hits, including Sunshine & Whiskey and racking up nearly a billion global streams. He toured with legends, lived on the road more than 200 days a year, and embodied the carefree, hard-driving spirit his songs celebrated. But behind the success, the pace was unsustainable. By 2020, the chase for approval and constant motion had taken its toll. Ballard stepped away from the spotlight, started a family, and quietly deepened his faith. What followed wasn’t a rebrand, it was a realignment. In 2025, he returned with The Messenger, a gospel-leaning, scripture-rooted record infused with blues and rock conviction. Then came “Money Runs Out,” a sharp reflection on loyalty, loss, and what remains when fame fades. Today, Frankie Ballard isn’t chasing charts, he’s chasing truth. Grounded in fatherhood, disciplined in faith, and unafraid of hard questions, his music now carries the weight of lived experience. This isn’t a comeback. It’s a reckoning.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
