In this episode of The Product Experience podcast, we sit down with Product Consultant Joca Torres, whose work at Gympass is featured in Marty Cagan's book Transformed. Joca shares the four core principles of successful digital transformation—principles he's applied in both high-growth startups and century-old corporations. We unpack what it really takes to shift a company from a delivery mindset to a product-led culture, the traps of discovery theatre, and how empowered teams actually behave. Key takeaways— Discovery should be fast and focused. Avoid drawn-out discovery phases that confirm what you already know. Good discovery is grounded in existing insights and validated quickly.— The Four Principles of Product Culture:Deliver Early and Often – Frequent releases drive learning and responsiveness.Focus on the Problem – Avoid premature solutions. Spend time understanding what really needs solving.Deliver Results – Products are a means, not an end. Success is measured in impact, not output.Ecosystem Mindset – Recognise the full range of users and stakeholders. Product is about balancing value across them.— Transformation is behavioural, not technical. Digital tools are important, but they won't matter if people and processes don't change with them.— Executive sponsorship is essential. Cultural shifts only take hold when the leadership team actively supports and models them.— Beware of product theatre. Following the right rituals doesn't mean you're creating value. Focus on outcomes, not optics.— Empowered teams are responsible teams. True empowerment means owning the problem, the solution, and the results. It isn't for everyone.Chapters00:00 – The Problem with “Discovery”01:00 – Introducing Joca Torres02:30 – A Surprising Need for Digital Transformation04:00 – What Makes a True Digital Transformation08:00 – The Four Pillars of Change13:00 – Thinking Beyond the End User17:00 – From Feature Delivery to Outcome OwnershipOur HostsLily Smith enjoys working as a consultant product manager with early-stage and growing startups and as a mentor to other product managers. 主播:Anne(中国)+Vip(澳大利亚) 歌曲 :If Today Was Your Last Day上期节目提到(戳链接《原子习惯》这本书,让你无痛建立新习惯!),building a good habit(建立一个好习惯)必不可少的是一个好的system(系统)。这期节目,咱们就继续来聊聊——如何设计一个“坚不可摧”的习惯系统。How to design a habit system that is indestructible?indestructible /ˌɪndɪˈstrʌktəbəl/ adj. 坚不可摧的01 Four Stages 习惯的4个步骤Before we actually build the system for a habit, we need to understand what a habit is. 在建立习惯系统之前,我们先要去深入认识习惯的本质。每一个习惯的养成(when a habit is formed),看似只是一个单纯的行为,实则involves(涉及到)4个stages:Cue(提示),Craving(渴望), Response(反应), Reward(回报)。Let's break it down!Take phone scrolling as an example(拿刷手机举个例子):1) Cue 提示:cue就是when you see your phone。2) Craving 渴望:当你have the urge to pick up your phone(有拿起手机的冲动)的时候,然后start scrolling(开始刷),这就是craving。尤其是当我们感到bored(无聊)或者in a bad mood(在坏情绪里)的时候,we all know how it feels(大家应该都懂)!3) Response 反应:我们会naturally(自然而然地)respond to that urge(回应那个冲动),所以response就是when you pick up the phone and start scrolling。4) Reward 回报:就是当你开始刷手机看short-form videos(短视频)时,your brain would be very satisfied(你的大脑会感到非常满足)。 建立一个好习惯系统,就是要based on these four stages(基于上面提到的四个阶段),逐个击破,这里《原子习惯》的作者提出了4个basic principles(基本法则):#法则一:Make it obvious(让它显而易见)作者提到,当你想要建立好的习惯的时候,environment matters more than motivation(环境比你的动力更重要),所以不要try to test your motivation by placing yourself in a bad environment(通过将自己置于不良环境中来测试自己的动力)。比如说,你想要晚上好好休息, don't put your phone in the bedroom where you can see it.再有一个点就是,you should use habit stacking(你应该使用习惯叠加),pair a new habit with an existing one(将新的习惯与现有的习惯配对)。The habit stacking formula(公式) is: After [CURRENT HABIT](现有习惯), I will [NEW HABIT]. 而且,you should include time and location as well(你还要把时间和地点包含进去)。比如你想要养成晚饭后不用手机和电脑的习惯,那你就在晚饭后turn off your phones and computers right away(立马关上手机和电脑),然后把它们放在卧室外。如果你有工作要做的话,you could wake up early in the morning and do it.#法则二:Make it attractive(让它有吸引力)You should make a habit attractive. 要让它变得吸引人,有诱惑力!Habits are formed when they give you that dopamine hit. 我们养成习惯,都是因为它们能带给我们多巴胺。要想养成习惯的话,你要pair what you want to do with what you need to do(把你想做的和你需要做的事情相结合)。在马上要做一个相对困难的行为习惯之前,你可以do something you enjoy(做一件自己喜欢的事情)。比如说,在你要做一个hard workout(困难的健身)的时候,你可以eat your favourite candy(先吃你最喜欢的糖果)。If you do this a few times(几次这样做之后), your brain will associate these two things together(你的大脑会自动地把糖和困难的健身联系起来), and make you crave the difficult workout(然后你就会特别渴望健身).associate /əˈsəʊʃieɪt/ v. 联系#法则三:Make it easy(让它变简单)如果你想要do a workout in the morning(早上锻炼),你可以lay out workout clothes the night before in advance(提前一晚把锻炼要穿的衣服准备好)。另一种让习惯变得简单的方法就是to start with 2 minutes of doing it(先做个2分钟)。为了确保能stick to a habit(坚持一个好习惯),你需要do it as many times as possible(尽可能多地重复)。The 2 minutes rule can get you start doing the habit very easily. 做10次2分钟要比做1次20分钟更加管用,重要的是要先开始起来。#法则四:Make it satisfying(让它变得令人满足)一旦你完成这个养成习惯的行为之后,you should give yourself reward IMMEDIATELY(立刻奖励自己)。对于主播Anne来说,如果她能够关闭电子产品,她会这样奖励自己:read the novel that she likes(读自己喜欢的小说),或者do facial(敷个面膜)或者light a scented candle(点个香薰蜡烛)。除了上面提到的4个原则之外,你还可以使用a habit tracker to track habits(记录你的习惯养成),habit trackers可以是some apps或者a notebook。总是对你的习惯复盘是行之有效的,and make changes to your system if you're not sticking to the habit(如果你无法坚持这个习惯,你可以随时改变你的系统)。

In this insightful episode, we explore the four fundamental principles to consider when planning your retirement investments. We break down the essential steps to ensure your financial security and peace of mind as you approach retirement. You can survive when the market twists and turns and throws you loose and you think that things are coming apart. Watch on YouTube HERE Key Highlights 1. Expect a Balance Between Extremes Key Point: The worst-case and best-case scenarios are equally unlikely. Discussion: It's important to remember that the truth will typically fall somewhere in the middle. Both the world and the markets have faced and survived numerous challenges. Pausing and reflecting on this can help mitigate fear and anxiety about future investments. 2. Tune Out the Noise Key Point: Focus on your long-term plan and ignore short-term market fluctuations. Discussion: When you hear negative news and feel emotional, it's crucial to have a solid foundation of safe investments. This allows you to stay calm and collected about your long-term retirement account despite current events. 3. Growth Periods Always Outweighed The Bad Times Key Point: Essentially, the average bear market runs about 14 months with 36 % declines, but the average bull market runs almost six years with a cumulative return of almost 200%. Discussion: There are going to be bad times, but also there are some really good times. So don't forget about those because that's what drives the growth. 4. You Can't Avoid Investment Risk and Expect Higher Returns Key Point: The more risk you take with your portfolio the higher we expect your return to be over time. Discussion: You can reduce your risk, you can hold more in cash, and you can mix more bonds into your portfolio, but you've got to expect then that your return will be lower over time. Listener Feedback We encourage our listeners to reach out and share their experiences or questions about retirement investments. Email us at info@srbadvisors.com. Conclusion Planning for retirement can be daunting, but by adhering to these four principles, you'll be well on your way to building a secure financial future. Stay informed, stay calm, and always keep a long-term perspective. Thank you for tuning in! Don't forget to subscribe to our podcast for more expert advice and insights on retirement planning.

Do you want to increase how you hear God's voice? Welcome to the Daily Devo. I am Vince Miller. This week, we are reading 1 Samuel 3. I've titled this chapter "Into Our Silence God Speaks." Today, I am reading verses 2-7, which states: At that time Eli, whose eyesight had begun to grow dim so that he could not see, was lying down in his own place. The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was. Then the Lord called Samuel, and he said, “Here I am!” and ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” But he said, “I did not call; lie down again.” So he went and lay down. And the Lord called again, “Samuel!” and Samuel arose and went to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” But he said, “I did not call, my son; lie down again.” Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, and the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him. — 1 Samuel 3:2-7 Two Contrasts This section has two fascinating contrasts. First, there's a striking contrast between aging Eli's failing eyesight lying in darkness in his own place and young Samuel resting in the Temple near the ark under the evening lamp. The author wants us to see the strong contrast between the two men at this moment. One man is on his way out of the leadership, and the other is on his way in. Second, we encounter the phrase, "Samuel did not yet know the Lord." This line echoes the declaration made about Hophni and Phineas in the previous chapter, "They did not know the Lord." However, the distinction lies in their reasons: Eli's sons rejected the Lord, whereas Samuel hadn't yet had a personal encounter with Him. The word "yet" in the text promises future revelation: "Samuel did not yet know the Lord." Many of you know what happens next in the story. It's pretty spectacular. Four Principles for Tuning Into God's Voice But for now, let me suggest four great principles we can glean from this text for tuning into God's voice. Principle One | Put Yourself In Proximity To God. God is speaking. He has something to say to you about your present situation. But if you are not in proximity to God, like Eli, who is weary and in his own place rather than in the house of the Lord, it will be harder to hear his voice. Physical and spiritual proximity play a part in hearing from God. This means you have to stop being resistant to the Church and God and move closer to both. Let me make this simple and practical: Go to church this week. Stop being so judgmental about the program, people, praise, and preaching, and instead listen to what God is trying to say only to you through the program, people, praise, and preaching. I bet you hear God speak in a way you have not heard him speak in a while. Principle Two | Disobedience Hinders Hearing God. Hophni and Phineas were disobedient men and spiritual leaders who did not know the Lord because they did not listen to the Lord. So, if you live in disobedience to the Lord, don't expect to hear from the Lord. It's impossible to hear from the Lord in disobedience because you are not listening to the Lord but to the Enemy of the Lord. You cannot listen and act on what the Enemy says to do and expect to hear from the Lord. That logic doesn't work. Principle Three | Obedience Enhances Hearing God. When we are obedient to God, this will enhance the connection to God. As John Hammis once wrote: When we walk with the Lord in the light of his word, what a glory he sheds on our way! While we do his good will, he abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey. — John Hammis, Trust and Obey. Principle Four | The More You Listen & Obey, The More You Know God. As the text states, "Samuel did not yet know the Lord." But once he learned to listen, he would remember his voice and know the Lord more and more. The same is true with us. The more we listen and obey God, the better we hear him and the more we know Him. If we continue listening and obeying, we will know him and hear from him more and more. So, commit to drawing closer to God. Get to know Him. Increase your reception by being in proximity, ending disobedience, and living in obedience. Tune into the whispers and get to know the Lord. He has the guidance and comfort you want and need. #ListenAndObey, #DivineWhispers, #SpiritualReception Ask This: How can you intentionally create space in your life to draw closer to God and hear His voice more clearly? Reflecting on times of disobedience and obedience in your life, what changes can you make today to enhance your receptivity to God's guidance and direction? Do This: Choose one of the four principles above and do it. Pray This: Lord, help me draw near to You with an open heart, eagerly listening for Your voice amidst the noise of life. Guide me to obedience and deeper intimacy with You so that I may walk closely with You and know You more fully each day. Amen. Play This: Trust and Obey.

Michael Warren is passionate about equipping fathers and mentors to guide young boys into manhood. His goal is to facilitate adventure moments that give sons an answer to the question, “When did I become a man?” In part one of this conversation, Michael describes how dads can define and model the timeless principles of manhood to their kids. Key Takeaways Fathers must communicate a clear definition of manhood. Middle school is a strategic time to start calling boys up and out of the home—away from distractions like video games—and into learning led by dad. A REAL man Rejects passivity, Expects God's greater rewards, Accepts responsibility, and Leads courageously. REAL men have a work to do, a will to obey, a woman to love, and a world to serve. Michael Warren Michael Warren is a dad of four who is passionate about equipping fathers to lead their sons into REAL masculinity. He lives in Anchorage, Alaska, where he facilitates the Alaska Knights program at ChangePoint. Key Quotes 17:38 - "The longevity that we've enjoyed has been tied to the fact that it's really transforming men's hearts and their families and the definition of manhood and the context that we teach, where that definition plays out are really transferable and in every season." 20:54 - "A real man, R-E-A-L, R, rejects passivity. A man rejects passivity. E, expects God's greater reward. A, accepts responsibility, and L, leads courageously. So, rejects passivity, expects God's greater reward, accepts responsibility, leads courageously. Expect God's greater reward, what does that mean? Well, that means delayed gratification. That is a principle that every man needs to entertain and think about. I'm going to make sacrifice now, but I know what I'm doing and why I'm doing it. I've got energy, I've got time, I have my purity. I have these things that are God given that once I spend them, I don't get them back. Those are the main principles, this R-E-A-L. What's important to mention is that we call them the four W's. The four W's are the contexts where you can directly apply the R-E-A-L. So the four W's arem a man has a work to do, a will to obey, a woman to love and a world to serve." What is Islamic Esotericism, and how does it relate to Western Esotericism? Thanks to Liana Saif's work, we delve into Islamic esotericism within the broader context of global esoteric traditions, critically assessing the field's traditional focus on Western esotericism. We scrutinize the foundational role of scholars like Mircea Eliade and Henry Corbin in shaping Western-centric esoteric narratives. The episode addresses key questions: - How has Western-centric scholarship influenced the study of Islamic esotericism? - What are the challenges and implications of integrating Islamic esoteric traditions into a global esoteric framework? - How do cultural, religious, and historical factors intersect in the practice of esotericism across societies? Through the insights of Wouter Hanegraaff and Kennet Granholm, the episode urges a reevaluation of esoteric studies to embrace the richness of traditions that transcend the East-West dichotomy. It raises important issues related to cultural exchange, identity, and the aftermath of colonialism in shaping esoteric practices. The work of Naṣr Ḥāmid Abū Zayd is highlighted, emphasizing philosophical inquiry in the interpretation of sacred texts within Islamic mys CONNECT & SUPPORT

Choose new beliefs. Manifesting money can feel really hard when we are holding beliefs that are not in support of us having abundance. Experiences we've had, things we've been taught, beliefs that run the show in our families — can all be in opposition of us creating abundance. Examples: You are bad with money. Money is the root of all evil. You are not worthy. These ideas are not the ultimate truth for you. You can shift them. Try on these beliefs instead: Money comes naturally and easily to me. My work is of high service and worthy of massive compensation. Spending money is safe. Don't those feel better? It's time to align our feelings, thoughts, and beliefs with abundance. 2. Money is responding to you. Money doesn't have an opinion about you. Money is not approving or disapproving of you. Money is simply responding to you and your energetic state regarding money. So, if money is responding to our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and beliefs then you, my friend, have more power than you thought you did. Think of it this way: Everything that occurs is just feedback. Everything that occurs lets you know the thoughts, feelings and energy you've been playing in in regards to money. When you find yourself in a less than idea situation regarding money — take it as feedback. Ask yourself: Where in me was I not comfortable receiving money? Where in me was I afraid of letting things be this good? As a business owner, what in me was I not confident about my services? 3. You can't f* it up. Many years ago I acted as though trumpets were supposed to sound, or God was supposed to get out a microphone, and tell me what I was supposed to do. This made making decisions feel… scary. Every decision felt like a big, complicated thing that I could majorly f* up. My friend once said to me: God's Will is not so fragile that you can drop it and break it. Meaning, it's safe to try things out. It's safe to make mistakes. It's safe to live. The pressure is largely self imposed. The pressure is simply our doubt and our fear holding us back and making us feel stuck and paralyzed by decisions. When we believe that one wrong decision could cause some sort of massive chaos upon us, it makes it impossible to follow our hearts and to do the d*mn thing, right? Remember: You. Cannot. F*. It. Up. 4. The energy of more than enough. How would you feel if you fully and completely had more than enough? Feel into the feelings of: There is so much, I can buy all the things. There is so much, I have everything I need all the time. There is so much, I have to give some away. Feel it: MORE THAN ENOUGH. When it comes to calling more money, I know this: We can manifest anything we can get behind, anything we believe is possible — or better yet, inevitable — for us. Play with the numbers. What amount can you truly and fully get behind? Don't worry about the specifics or the “how” — just know that it's yours. Like a cup that overflows: You believe, and you know, and you hold the feeling, and every moment of faith, belief, and expectation adds up — and eventually you see the overflow in your physical reality. Amen? Amen. If you enjoyed this podcast, please leave a review and share it on your favorite social media outlet. Comments? Concerns? Qs about MMM? We are here. Just reach out. What does it take to grow beyond our struggle with pornography? It takes faith in the promises of God. How do we grow our faith? We grow our faith by hearing, reading, studying, memorizing, and meditating on the Word of God. In this episode, we will look at four principles for approaching God's Word as outlined by John Newton.
Hello! Welcome to the And She Rises (The F*ck Up) — the podcast! We are so happy you are here. These four clips were taken from The Holiday Bundle. The Holiday Bundle contains 22 hours of inspired, motivating, authentic content in 25 videos + a few added bonuses. The Holiday Bundle is back on sale (until the end of the year only!). All the things you need to know: https://amandafrances.com/the-bosslady-business-holiday-bundle/ Without further ado… Four Principles for Creating What You Desire in Life + Business: 1. Owning your desires + being the real you. Who are you when you feel like yourself? Who are you when you're not holding back? Who are you when you're being your best self — your most youiest you. I'm bold, and I'm loud, and I'm confident, and I'm sure, and I trust myself, and I trust the process, and I trust the God in me. I feel anchored to the heart of God, I feel stable in who I am and what I believe. When you trust your heart and your soul and your desires, you can create offers that have no good reason to sell. You can create content just because you believe in it. You can create what's just simply aligned in your heart and soul. You can create based on your desires when you know who you are, you like who you are, and you trust yourself. 2. Shattering the illusion. When we start saying things like: “I believe in manifestation, but it doesn't work for me in business,” or “I believe in the principle that I can co-create whatever I want, but it doesn't work in my relationships,” that is the illusion. When we start believing that our power doesn't exist and doesn't apply to certain areas of our lives, that is the illusion. When we give away our power and believe the fear, and doubt, and chaos, and anxiety more than we believe in our own selves, more than we believe in the God within us, that is when we fall into the illusion. That is when we become trapped in ideas that were never actually mother f*ing real. 3. Rising up + assuming the energy of being on the other side. The energy of being on the other side is: It's already been done. I already have more clients. I already have more money. It's already mine. It's been mine since the beginning of time. It's the feeling of, oh, that's actually already sorted and now I'm just walking it out on the planet as a human, but it's already been sorted in the spiritual realm. It's already been sorted because it's my birthright to feel good. It's my birthright to be happy. It's my birthright to live my calling. Our limiting beliefs tell us that there is a block, there is an upper limit, there is something we need to do. So if there's nothing to do, and only something to walk out, and you were already on the other side, how would you feel right now? What would you do right now? Is there anything else that would be going on right now that you can go ahead and feel into and bring that energy into your space now? 4. Releasing victim stories. Sometimes we feel like we have to be in a victim story. We have to be the underdog in our own minds. We have to believe that we're the person that it's so unlikely for the good thing to happen to so we can then overcome. And then because we overcame, we now believe we're worthy of the success story. But what if we were worthy of the success story all along? What if we never had to be the underdog, tell the victim's story, or think lowly of ourselves. What if we didn't have to have the abusive dynamic or the toxic dysfunctional situation to break out of something to let ourselves be great? What if we could just f*ing be great? What if you could just be great now because you decided? Don't get me wrong, we will always take any bad things that happen to us — because we're human beings living life, and life sometimes hurts — we will always take all those things and use them for good, but there's this misconception in a lot of our minds that the bad things have to happen to let ourselves have the good things… but what if we could just have the good things? Hello loves. Today, the team and I have four principles for you, for living your Aligned AF life. These were taken from the Aligned AF Bundle. 1. Attune to the Moola + Let it Flow. Listen: Money doesn't come from our offers or our clients, it flows through them. This is how I think of it: I create what I feel I am meant to create, not to make money, but to serve. At the same time, I know what it worthy of money. Get it? Create what you desire. Know money gets to flow through those streams. Feel into this: Money flows through whatever I create. I create what I am called to. 2. Really, really want it. Try on this vibe: I want it and I want it now. This is my time. I will not play small. I will rise TF up. Now, if you don't really want it yet, that's okay. Let yourself off of the hook. But know this, when you do want it bad enough, you will rise to the challenge and elevate into the version of you who knows how to create it. You will do the damn thing. Q: What would it feel like to really, really want it now. Say it with me: I know what I am called to do. I rise TF up. I am always being guided. I know what's next. I trust myself. I do the damn thing. I let myself want it. Really, really want it. 3. Let authenticity guide you. No one can do it like you. Tell the truth in all you do. Know and attune to your truth. Know that you are not right for everyone, but you are right for the right people. Love yourself so much that you can let it go when someone else does not. You don't need approval from anyone to know you are enough, like yourself, and show up in your truth. 4. Feeling good is the whole point. What if feeling good was a non-negotiable? Ask yourself each day: What do I want? What would feel good? What do I need? When you prioritize you, protect your vessel and honor your gifts, calling and craft… information and guidance flow more easily. From the place of alignment, flow, trust, ease and living at the vibration of having all you want, I find the action steps, moves and ideas… show up. Do what is aligned. Relax into it. Let go of what you “should do” — consider doing what you… want and what would feel so good. As you tune into desire and set your goals, consider this: What if you would make it just because you would? What if it was already done? What if there was no drama around it? What if you knew it was yours? How does this feel? This is the vibe and state to return to. The Aligned AF Bundle is on sale at 55.5% off for a few more days only. According to recent numbers released from the CDC, about 1 in 4 of today's high school students identify as LGBTQ. This means it's never been more important for Christian parents, teachers, pastors, and mentors to love, support, and guide teens who are wrestling through these issues. They need to know what biblical truth is about sex, identity, and relationships, and why it is loving, reasonable, and best. I am so grateful for a brand-new resource from my friend Greg Stier, whose writing and work at Dare 2 Share ministries has made him a leader in working with students. In a recent blog post, Greg outlined four key principles to help lead teenagers to a biblical understanding of these difficult issues in a way that is loving, articulate, and bold. The first biblical principle is to “choose love, not hate, as [our] posture.” Even though Christians reject the false views of love promoted in so many ways today, we are not off the hook from practicing the real thing. Greg explains: “God is love.” That's who He is. ... Because of His love, God doesn't wait until we clean up our act to save us. ... Romans 5:8 shockingly asserts: ‘But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us.' ... Encourage your teenagers to love everyone, no matter what, all the time, because God has relentlessly loved us. Teach your teens to continually drench their theological convictions with biblical compassion and agape love—and may we do the same. Second, we must “choose the Bible, not culture, as [our] authority.” The Bible originated from the mind of God. ... Because it's inspired from God Himself, it's as perfect as God Himself. As Christians, we're commanded to listen to, respect, and obey God's Word—whether we like what it says or not, whether culture disagrees with it or not, whether people mock us for it or not. Even when we don't like the rules, we can take comfort in the fact that they aren't arbitrary—they're based on God's perfect character and are given for our good (see Deuteronomy 10:12-14). [but] it's important to help [students] understand that God's house rules don't apply only to Christians. ... God made the universe, so everything in it belongs to Him. As Psalm 24:1-2 explains: ‘The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for He founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.' The Bible is His primary way of explaining to His creation—to all humanity—who He is, who we are, and how the world works. Since the whole universe can be considered God's “house,” His rules—as outlined in the Bible—apply to everyone. In other words, the Bible is humanity's instruction manual. And it's clear on issues of identity and sexuality. Greg goes to outline just how clear the Bible is on identity, gender, and sexual orientation. Third, we need to “choose the Gospel, not sin management, for solutions.” It's vital to believe, and help our teenagers to believe, in this transforming power of the Gospel. Romans 1:16 makes it clear that “it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” The Greek word for “salvation” means “deliverance from peril or danger.” We must believe that the Gospel can deliver any teenager from any sin, including any kind of sexual brokenness. We're all born as slaves to our flesh—which encompasses our genetics, hormones, natural instincts, and sinful desires—and into a sinful, fallen environment—which includes abuse, unbiblical ideologies, and more. But the amazing news of the Gospel is that when we trust Christ, His Spirit frees us from that slavery and enables us to live in God's ways—no matter what caused our sin to begin with. And finally, fourth “choose engagement, not detachment.” For years, Greg and Dare 2 Share ministries have been training and equipping students to share their faith. Increasingly, this means having to engage difficult questions and issues such as these. What if it's possible not only for Christian teens to not be confused and deceived, but to also be ambassadors for Christ to their confused and deceived peers. Greg thinks it is. Imagine if the Church began to intentionally reach out—with a Jesus-style blend of love and conviction—to people who identify as LGBTQ and started seeing more and more lives transformed by the power of the Gospel. How much different would the future look, both for the Church and for the lives that were changed? Greg is offering a free four-lesson curriculum for students called Hard Questions: Examining Gender, Sexuality, and Identity Through a Gospel Lens on his website. You can find it at gregstier.org. This Breakpoint was co-authored by Kasey Leander. For more resources to live like a Christian in this cultural moment, go to breakpoint.org.
