He boasts five PGA Tour victories and is the only player to ever beat Tigers Woods in a PGA Tour playoff. He is currently playing on the PGA Tour Champions. Mayfair's five PGA Tour victories include the Nissan Open (1998), Buick Open (1998), Motorola Western Open (1995), Tour Championship (1995), and Greater Milwaukee Open (1993). His two amateur victories include the U.S. Amateur (1987) and U.S. Public Links (1986). In the PGA Tour Champions, Mayfair ranks 49 in the Charles Schwab Cup Points, five in the PGA Tour Points List, and 34 in the All-Time Money List with more than $22 million in career earnings. Mayfair has been in the Official World Golf Rankings top 50 list, reaching as high as 26. He was the medalist at the 2010 PGA Tour's Qualifying School and at the age of 15 was on the cover of Boys' Life magazine as "golf's junior hotshot." After dealing with Asperger-related symptoms for most of his life Mayfair was diagnosed in 2019 with autism spectrum disorder, a developmental condition that causes challenges with a person's communication, social interactions, sleep habits, moods, and attention span, among other things. Previously, during the 2006 season, Mayfair was diagnosed with testicular cancer and underwent surgery, returning to the tour two weeks later. Along with his family, Mayfair began a nonprofit foundation tasked with providing support to both amateur and professional athletes and their families who struggle with spectrum-related disorders.

American professional golfer and former NCAA Player of the Year John Pak is set to be the next FSU great on his journey to golf stardom. Pak finished his career in Tallahassee as one of the most accomplished athletes in school history ending his time at FSU as the first Seminole to receive the Ben Hogan and Fred Haskins Award. “Committing to Florida State was probably one of the best decisions of my life, they've got all the resources to make you a better player... Just the name of Florida State has a lot of meaning to it.” The New Jersey native has aspirations to compete at the highest level having his eyes set on the Masters' green jacket. “Obviously I want to win a major, preferably the masters, that's every golfer's dream. I want to have full status in the PGA Tour within the next two years.” “To be in the same sentence as beating Tigers Woods or Brooks, that's really special and that's what I've worked my whole life for... it would really mean a lot to me,” Pak said. Florida State's been known as college golf's mecca for decades and Pak has been mentioned as possibly the best golfer to don the Garnet and Gold. His success in the amateurs should translate smoothly to the professional stage as he soon takes on some of his childhood idols and former FSU greats. “I think we have the best coaching staff in all of college golf. You look at the history of Florida State golfers, a lot of them gradually have gotten better throughout the years. I think every year I got a little bit better, we just have the resources, we have the coaching staff that knows what they're doing to really create some good golfers here,” Pak said. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/tomahawknation/message

Ajam114: Well folks, ajam has been on a bit of a hiatus the last couple of weeks, but we managed to get together long enough for a mid week addition. Tonight we had lots of topics on our plate so I will try to keep the description as brief as possible. We start with a bit of a mention on Heath Ledgers death which we did not get a chance to talk about when it happened. From there we went on to talk a bit about the new Rambo movie which Adam and myself went to see a little over a week ago. If you like killing at it's most graphic then this movie is for you. We didn't get to talk about or pick the Super Bowl before it happened so we give you a little bit of our take on that. Adam has some info and the current writers strike as well as more on the possibility of an Arrested Development movie. He also happened to mention that they plan on releasing a third installment to The Mummy series of movies. Tigers Woods continues to be on a roll. How long can he keep this momentum going? We just happened to do this podcast a day after Super Tuesday and we give our take on who we voted for as well as a little light hearted fun involving politics and the recent elections. Well at least that is what I am saying that it was. Send us your comments. ajamshow@gmail.com
Hour 1 - A crazy Christmas Eve-Eve edition of the Podcast with a great crowd and cast of guests and surprises. The show opened with Tony being escorted onto the set by the lovely Nina and Selina - 2 of the 2016 Calendar girls at Club Risque Philadelphia as Tony was dressed up in his "Pimp Santa" outfit. We had a long list of prizes to give out in our annual "Christmas Karaoke" contest where audience members got a chance to sing and win. Our our pal Harry Mayes returned, just back from the Marmot Boca Raton Bowl in Florida where Toledo beat the Temple Owls on a rainy night in South Florida. He talked about the game and visiting Tigers Woods restaurant in the area. Of course we had to talk Miss Universe and the Steve Harvey fiasco. CSN Philly TV anchor John Clarke also stopped by to address Luigi Curto's tennis challenge and after some friendly jabs, agreed to set up a charity tennis match in 2016. John also discussed the abysmal 1-and-30 Sixers team which keeps breaking its own records for futility. the 1972-73 team has the worst record ever at 9-and-93, but we all now wonder if this current crew will even win 8 games. We started our singing competition with John singing Holly Jolly Christmas and from there is all went off the rails as both our staff and contestants tried to get the contest back on track.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/tony-bruno-show/donations
