Why would a merciful God allow such suffering as described in the book of Revelation? The answer is quite simple.

In this message we explore the profound silence in heaven from Revelation 8:1–13, following the opening of the seventh seal—a half-hour hush amid constant praise that signals impending judgment and deliverance for God's people. This stillness, drawing from Old Testament imagery, underscores God's perfect justice, where no one can argue against His verdict, while reminding believers to trust in His timing amid trials. We also uncover the vivid scene of an angel blending the prayers of the saints with incense as a pleasing sacrifice, perfected by Jesus, revealing prayer as an act of worship that acknowledges God's sovereignty and wields real power to shake the earth, especially the cries of martyrs for justice against evil. Delving into the trumpet judgments, we see symbolic calamities affecting a third of creation—hail and fire, seas turning to blood, darkened skies—as warnings of uncreation and God's unmatched power over false gods, empires, and the forces of this world. These partial judgments, echoing Egypt's plagues, protect the sealed church and escalate toward final reckoning, urging repentance before it's too late. Ultimately, in our current "silence" where evil seems unchecked, we are called to pray boldly, stand secure in Christ, and heed the warnings, for the final trumpet will sound, demanding an answer to whether we've listened to God's patient call.
Join us as we discuss the death and resurrection of the two witnesses, the blowing of the 7th Trumpet Judgment, as well as the Mid-Tribulation view of the Rapture.
Join us as we discuss the effects of blowing the 6th Trumpet Judgment and what's happening during the Interlude before blowing the 7th Trumpet, as well as the introduction of the 2 Witnesses.
We will discuss the opening of the 7th Seal, bringing the 7 Trumpet Judgments, and the effects of the first 5 Trumpet Judgments on Earth. Things are getting worse in the last 1/2 of Tribulation.
In Revelation 8–9, heaven falls silent as the seventh seal is opened, signaling the beginning of the trumpet judgments. Pastor Bill Monroe explains how these events move from natural catastrophe to supernatural warfare, revealing the seriousness of God's judgment and the urgency of being ready.

Chapters 6 through 19 cover the entire seven-year Tribulation period, with the last three and a half years being the Great Tribulation initiated by the Antichrist's ascent to full power. Zumpano notes that the Tribulation is primarily God's final dealing with Israel, secondarily with Gentile unbelievers, and is a time of God trying to save souls by taking away man's idols (including the earth) and exposing them to the evil (Satan and demons) that they preferred over Him. The sixth seal marks the official beginning of the wrath of God, and the seventh seal will unleash seven Trumpet Judgments, which in turn lead to the seven Bowl Judgments, a "triple whammy" of escalating severity designed to capture man's attention.Revelation 7 begins by introducing four angels restraining the four winds (judgments) of the earth until a separate angel seals 144,000 bond-servants of God on their foreheads—specifically 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel (Jews). This is an angelic sealing (distinct from the Holy Spirit sealing of the Church) that confirms them as God's people and protects them from harm during the impending judgments, as they are later seen standing with the Lamb in heaven (Revelation 14). Zumpano highlights that this angelic sealing is immediately counterfeited by Satan with the Mark of the Beast (666) on the forehead or hand of unbelievers, sealing them as Satan's forever. The tribes listed in Revelation 7 are not the original 12; Dan and Ephraim are substituted with Levi and Joseph. Zumpano explores the scholarly debate, postulating that Dan and Ephraim may have been excluded from the sealing—and thus left unprotected to endure the Tribulation—due to their severe history of idolatry (e.g., King Jeroboam's golden calves, 1 Kings 12), although he acknowledges that all tribes sinned, noting that Dan and Ephraim are restored and receive a portion in the Millennial Reign (Ezekiel 48).

Revelation 8 reveals a profound moment of divine anticipation as the seventh seal ushers in a solemn silence in heaven, signaling the imminent outpouring of God's judgment through seven trumpet judgments. These judgments—ranging from ecological devastation and cosmic disturbances to the poisoning of water sources and the darkening of celestial bodies—demonstrate God's sovereign response to humanity's persistent rebellion and ingratitude toward His creation. The imagery of incense rising with the prayers of the saints underscores the reality of divine hearing and the longing for justice, while the escalating calamities serve as both warning and testimony to God's power and holiness. Though the judgments are terrifying, they are not arbitrary but rooted in the prophetic witness of Scripture and the moral failure of a world that has rejected God's revelation in nature and grace. The passage calls believers to urgent evangelism, emphasizing that the current era of grace is fleeting and that the time to turn to Christ is now, before the final, irreversible judgments unfold.
In this sermon, Pastor Chris Romig delves into Revelation chapter 9, highlighting its relevance to both end-times prophecy and the spiritual challenges Christians face today. He explains how the chapter describes escalating judgments, including the release of demonic hordes and supernatural devastation, yet insists that God remains in control throughout the chaos. Romig interprets the imagery, such as the 200-million-strong army, not as a human military force, but as a representation of a vast demonic onslaught. He connects the historical and spiritual significance of the Euphrates region, showing how patterns of sin and rebellion there foreshadow greater spiritual battles to come. Turning to personal application, Romig warns that Christians, though protected from possession, are still vulnerable to spiritual attacks and demonic influences, especially when opening doors through habitual sin, the occult, unforgiveness, or dishonesty. He urges believers to confess and renounce anything that may give evil a foothold, emphasizing the liberating power and protection found in Jesus Christ. The sermon closes with encouragement: though spiritual warfare is real, Christ's authority and victory are greater. Believers are called to remain vigilant in faith, rely on God's Word, and claim the freedom that Jesus offers in every spiritual battle.

Before we embark on the Seal, Bowl, and Trumpet Judgments we are going to hear from Joel Richardson about why it's difficult to get this timeline perfect!
In this sermon, Pastor Chris Romig emphasizes the reality of the unseen spiritual realm and the active spiritual warfare Christians face, drawing from Revelation chapter 9. He warns that Satan seeks to undermine believers, especially during seasons of prayer and fasting, referencing Paul's teaching in Ephesians 6 that our true struggle is against spiritual forces of evil. Chris interprets the symbolic imagery of the fifth trumpet judgment, where Satan is given the key to the bottomless pit, releasing demons described as monstrous locusts. He explains that these are fallen angels, some of whom are imprisoned until the final judgment, and references both Old and New Testament passages to underscore that demons are real and active despite modern skepticism. While the unleashed demons bring terrible torment to those who reject God, Chris reminds the faithful that God remains sovereign, setting firm limits and protecting those marked as His own. He addresses the unsettling reality of God's judgment by underscoring the seriousness of sin and God's patient desire for everyone to come to repentance, as highlighted in 2 Peter 3:9. Ultimately, Chris calls his listeners to recognize the true consequences of rejecting God's grace, to repent, and to find hope in the promise, that despite the world's evil, God's triumph and love will prevail.

Could it be possible that we have been focused on the wrong parts of these prophecies? Could it be possible that we have been meditating on the wrong section of these prophecies? For example: “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” 1 Corinthians 15:52-53 KJV We focus on the fact that the Trumpet Judgment are coming at the Last Trump. However, what about the fact that we are going to be immortal. Shouldn't this be our focus, we should be like the old church rejoicing at the Last Trump. Rejoicing at the signs that the Trumpet Judgments are on the way. Similarly with the Trumpet Judgements, for example: “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.” Revelation 8:1-2 KJV 'Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them. The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. ' Revelation 8:6-7 'The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. ' Revelation 8:8-9 Reading those could make any human tremble, especially at the thought of them coming soon. However, if we continue reading the scriptures say: “And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. However, They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.” Revelation 9:4 The Trumpet Judgment will come, but those of us sealed by God on our foreheads will not be harmed. This is the part of the prophecy that we should be focused on and the part that we should mediate on day and night. Our God, the Most High will not leave us nor abandon us and when the destruction and the judgments come we will not be harmed. I believe the Lord has given us the Book of Revelation as a key to unlock many mysteries found in the Book of Daniel (and vice versa). Where we may become confused by certain symbols or periods of time in Daniel, I believe they are given to us in greater detail in Revelation. These two prophetic Books clarify one another. To better understand Revelation is to better understand Daniel (and the opposite as well). We have already seen the prophetic connection between Daniel 11:40 and Revelation 9:1-11 (where the king of the south is realized in the invasion of the Islamic Saracens against the Papal King in the 5th Trumpet Judgment for his idolatry) and the prophetic connection between Daniel 11:40-43 and Revelation 9:12-21 (where the king of the north is realized in the invasion of the Islamic Turks against the Papal King in the 6th Trumpet for his continued idolatry). Today we see the Papal King's last stand in Daniel 11:44-45.

Again, we're going to be talking about the end times, and one of the things that make understanding the end times difficult is when we don't have a good grasp of an overview for this period of time, meaning we really don't know what's going to happen and when it's going to happen, but if you are a good student of prophecy, both Old Testament prophecy and the prophecy we find in the New Testament, you can have a good understanding of these key events. The Book of Revelation 2024 - Chapters 7-8: The First Four Trumpet Judgments by Shawn Ozbun
The Book of Revelation by Pastor Rob Salvato The post The Trumpet Judgments – Revelation 8-9 appeared first on Calvary Vista.
A new MP3 sermon from Bethel Baptist Church is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: Heavy Topics - The 7 Trumpet Judgments (Part 5) Subtitle: Heavy Topics For Our Time Speaker: Pastor Bobby Decker Broadcaster: Bethel Baptist Church Event: Sunday - PM Date: 7/7/2024 Bible: Revelation 11:15-19; Revelation 12 Length: 57 min.
In this message, I'd like to walk us through four key images in Revelation chapters 8-11 – one from each chapter – and then find an application in each for our lives. When Revelation chapter 8 begins, Jesus opens the seventh and final seal on the scroll of God's ultimate plans for mankind. This triggers the 7 Trumpet Judgments. Before the first trumpet sounds, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. All of heaven seems to be holding its breath. Why? Because the prayers of God's people were being poured out. What prayers? Likely the prayers of the saints back in Rev. 6 when the martyrs prayed for vindication. “How long, Lord? How long?” Now, at last, God answered those prayers…and acted.God's plan is to bring us into partnership, and the point of that partnership is prayer.Your prayers matter more than you could ever know. As Walter Wink says, “History belongs to the intercessors.” Am I willing to engage in the responsibility of intercession? In answer to the prayers of the saints, God's judgments now fall on earth. As each trumpet sounds, a plague is poured out upon the world - the wrath of a holy God upon a people who had chosen to give its allegiance to the Antichrist rather than to His Son.In each of these plagues, we read of the destruction of 1/3 of the earth. Why? Why not just destroy it all? I think it's a sign of God's mercy.God's desire is to bring about repentance, and sometimes pain is the only way to get people's attention. Is there any pain in my life that God is trying to speak to me through? The third image comes from Rev. 10. John is given a small scroll and told to eat it. The scroll tasted sweet in his mouth but turned sour in his stomach. The scroll symbolizes God's Word. God's Word is all truth, but it's not all easy or pleasant.Do I feed on God's Word, obeying the hard commands as well as enjoying the happy promises? Finally, we come to the 2 witnesses in Rev. 11. Whether these are 2 literal people or they represent God's people faithfully witnessing in these last days, the reality is, the cost of their witness was death. God's call is for us to be courageous and faithful in our witness, not necessarily successful.Am I willing to take my stand for Christ even when it costs me?
