We're in the hours leading up to Game 4, and the Oilers find themselves in a familiar, albeit uncomfortable position. Win, and the series is tied, lose, and they'll backed into a corner. That's life in the playoffs when you can't stop shooting yourselves in the foot.I started this week's podcast with a quick recap of our trip down to Dallas and how it was a welcomed change after spending the first two rounds in Los Angeles and Vancouver. Unlike our first two stops, the people in Dallas were incredibly friendly and seemed almost amazed that we would fly all the way to Texas to watch the Oilers play in their rink. We had drinks bought for us, plenty of conversations on what we thought of the city, tips on what to do and where to eat, and to be honest, I had a hard time disliking any of them.Turning back to the Oilers, there was plenty of news and noise surrounding the team after Monday's Game 3 loss, and one guy who took more shrapnel than anyone was Darnell Nurse. Ol' Darryl has struggled mightily at points in the playoffs, but the reality is that the Oilers are going to need him if they're going to get back into this series. I personally believe that he's so much better than what we're getting from him right now, and I really hope he can find a way back there before it's too late.Want to leave a voicemail for next week's show? When they were surrounded by enemies and their back was up against the wall, all that King Jehoshaphat and the army of Judah did was trust God. And God fought the battle for them. Today, Pastor Ford will remind us that it's just like the good news of Jesus Christ. We have strong enemies that stand against us—the world, the flesh and the Devil—but we don't have to fight them on our own because Jesus already did.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Pastor Ford reminds us today we must believe that where God leads, God feeds. And where God guides, He provides. We have to believe that when God directs, He always protects. Hear more about these important reminders on today's Treasured Truth.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In 2 Chronicles 20, the children of Israel praised God in the midst of the battle and they praised God after the battle was over. And this is what we can learn from them—that in the midst of whatever is going on, we ought to be those who can say, “I don't care what's going on in my life, it's not going to stop me from praising the Lord!” See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
God often moves most powerfully when we are facing impossible situations. In our moments of desperation, when our backs are against the wall, God asks us to surrender control and trust Him fully. Though we may be facing scarcity and lack, when we give God our all, He can do more than we could ever imagine. To support this ministry and help us continue our God given mission, click here: http://bit.ly/2NZkdrC Support the show
Today, we'll continue to study 2 Chronicles 20 and see how King Jehopshaphat led the army of Judah into battle praising the Lord. And we'll discover how that action on their part completely changed the outcome of the battle. And we'll learn from their example that sometimes we can think our problems are too big, when the real issue is, our praise is too small.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat and the army of Judah were in a predicament. They were besieged, and in addition to being severely outnumbered, they didn't have enough weapons. They didn't have the right resources and they didn't even really have the guts to stand up to their enemies. But they realized that God was going to be there, because they knew that battle is the Lord's. So they chose to praise the Lord, instead of fearing their circumstances. When confronted with enemies on every side, King Jehoshaphat and the army of Judah received a promise and instructions from God. And even though their back was up against a wall, and it seemed like their situation was hopeless, they chose to act in faith and believe that God was telling them the truth and that their circumstances were telling them a lie.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
As we continue to study in the book of 2 Chronicles, we'll see how God gives King Jehoshaphat and the army of Judah a promise. Pastor Ford explains that God did that because they needed to understand what He was going to do in the midst of their current circumstance. He wanted to change their outlook, by telling them their outcome.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's a very common fantasy for dudes into spanking: You get pulled over for speeding or tailgating or some other moving violation by a gruff, authoritative police officer. Is there anything you can do to get out of a ticket? Maybe pay some other penalty right then and there? Perhaps bent over the hood of the police car? Perhaps with the police officer's belt, or maybe some paddle he happens to be carrying around with him? You can live out that fantasy, either as the wayward driver or the cop. We're joined by Dave, also known as Hunter Chase, who does roleplay spanking scenes as a police officer or prisoner with advice on living out these fantasies and incorporating handcuffs into spanking play safely. All this plus the latest on upcoming spanking events, including a very hot time coming to some butts this summer in Las Vegas! This shmooze, sponsored by Smilesforthekids.com and delivered in Mevaseret, addresses the Kiruv methodology of Avraham Avinu. Why does Avraham Avinu seemingly coerce people into acknowledging Hashem? Is that helpful? Does it create meaningful and lasting change? In this shiur, based on a sicha from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rav Burg speaks about how sometimes we have to face the hard truth in order to unlock who we really are and what we really believe.

Once upon a time, there were four podcasters who desperately sought to recapture their youth. To do this, they gathered around to read the Sonic Golden Books, a trilogy of children's storybooks from the early ‘90s. Their discussions of Sonic and his Freedom Fighter friends landed on many strange topics, from Tails eating literal garbage, to the perfect chili dog recipe, to Bunnie Rabbit's art commissions. They even made a brief divergence into the Sonic Joke Book! Charmed by their pleasant simplicity, the four podcasters hoped all their listeners would tune in and read along with them, to enjoy a delightful trip back to yesteryear. The End.
