Intelligence gathered, Toph holds the fort long enough for GAang to escape Wan Shi Tong's talons... but her sand-blown senses prevent her saving Appa from those pesky sandbenders! With their furry-friend/means-of-travel captured, Team Avatar's is left stranded in the desert. May Professor Zei rest in peace.

The party finds themselves transported to an alien world, and must quickly confront its dangerous residents. In the distance, the Library of Wan Shi Tong hangs like a looming cloud from the forest canopy. Note: This bonus episode serves as an interlude between Book 1 and Book 2 (aka seasons 1 and 2).
