Imagine moving six times in one year… now add three kids under four to the mix.  That's real life for  Danielle and Tomás Nido, catcher for the Detroit Tigers, former Mets player, and most recently part of the Chicago Cubs organization. In this episode of The Un-a-Parent Podcast, our host Katia Reguero Lindor sits down with the Nidos, dear friends and true parenting superheroes. They talk about what it's like to raise a family while constantly relocating, how they stay grounded through chaos, and the teamwork it takes to make it all work. Danielle shares her secrets for staying calm and centered, Tomás brings his signature steadiness, and together they reflect on what keeps their family strong on and off the field.Meanwhile, Katia jokes that she's one toddler tantrum away from hiding in the bathroom. (We've all been there. )This is MLB parenting life—unfiltered, emotional, and full of love. A tribute to the mom friends, MLB wives, and parents on the move who remind us we're not doing this alone, and that every meltdown, diaper blowout, and unexpected trade is a little easier when we have the right people around us.Don't forget to FOLLOW the podcast on Instagram and TikTok. SUBSCRIBE to our YouTube channel for all the unapparent content you never knew you needed. The Un-a-Parent Podcast is a Studio Dama production. As a parent, I know how easy it is to get so caught up in the demands of work, home, and family that you have nothing left to give your partner. I've been there - feeling lonely, resentful, and disconnected from the person I love the most. But I've also learned that it doesn't have to be that way. It takes effort to keep that love muscle strong, but it's so worth it. Make date nights a non-negotiable, even if it's just a simple activity together. And don't be afraid to plan a kid-free getaway - even 3 days can reignite that spark. Your relationship deserves that investment. You both do. It's not easy, but choosing each other, even when life is crazy, is what will keep your bond alive. Ready to learn more? Listen to the full episode of the Thrive Like a Parent Podcast, where I dive deeper into this topic. Your relationship is worth the investment - let's work on it together! EP: 116 As a parent, understanding your child's sensory profile is crucial for providing the right support and creating a harmonious home environment. In this episode of the Thrive Like a Parent Podcast, I'm diving deep into the complexities of sensory behaviors and how they can impact both you and your little ones. Too often, we pigeonhole our kids (and ourselves) into simplistic categories like "seeker" or "avoider." But the reality is, our sensory needs exist on a spectrum, and we can exhibit a mix of different tendencies. By learning to recognize these nuances, we can unlock the key to better managing meltdowns, transitions, picky eating, and more. I'll share real-life examples, break down the different sensory profiles, and explain why it's so important to gain a deeper understanding of our nervous systems. This knowledge isn't just for the kids - it can be a game-changer for parents too, helping us develop the coping skills and self-awareness needed to thrive. So if you're tired of walking on eggshells, ready to ditch the one-size-fits-all approaches, and want to cultivate more harmony in your home, this episode is for you. Get ready to unlock the power of sensory intelligence and reclaim your family's wellbeing. Links & Resources:

EP:114 On this episode of Thrive Like a Parent Podcast, I went to this incredible Pink concert the other night, and it just made me reflect on how much I used to neglect myself back in my previous relationship. I was always putting my partner first, trying so hard to make everything "work" that I completely lost touch with the things that lit me up inside.   And I see that happening with so many parents these days - we get so caught up in the grind, in keeping up appearances, that we forget to take care of ourselves. And even worse, I see parents just zoning their kids out with screens, even at special events like concerts. Those shared experiences and memories are so precious, and I worry we're robbing our kids of that. My dad took me to so many amazing shows growing up, and I'll cherish those times forever. I just wish I had been brave enough to chase my own dream of being a dancer. So this episode is a bit of a rant, but it's coming from a place of deep passion. I want all of you to go do the thing that sets your soul on fire! And make sure you're really present and engaged with your kids, not just using screens as a crutch. I know it's not easy, but it's so worth it. We can't pour from an empty cup, you know? So let's talk about why self-care, following your passions, and being present with your kids are so crucial.
