The top three reasons you may be getting FRIENDZONED are: Agreeableness, availability, and accessibility can potentially decrease attraction in dating due to various reasons: 1. Agreeableness: While being agreeable is generally seen as positive, excessive agreeableness can sometimes be perceived as lacking individuality or assertiveness, which may reduce attraction. Dr. David Buss, a prominent evolutionary psychologist, suggests that this perspective is rooted in evolutionary theory, which proposes that certain traits and behaviors have been favored by natural selection due to their reproductive advantages. In this context, assertiveness may be seen as a signal of confidence, social dominance, and the ability to protect and provide for a potential mate and offspring. 2. Availability: When someone is too readily available and constantly accessible, it can create a sense of predictability and diminish the excitement or chase that often fuels attraction. 3. Accessibility: If someone is always easily accessible and does not create a sense of mystery or occasional unavailability, it can lead to complacency and reduce the perceived value or desirability. It's important to note that these factors may not universally apply to everyone, as individual preferences and circumstances can vary. Communication and finding a balance between these traits can help maintain attraction in dating. Did you enjoy the podcast? On this week's episode of the podcast, I am joined by Samantha Graham, cohost of Where's Our Participation Trophy podcast, to talk about modern dating from the lens of attachment theory. The title of this podcast comes from viral videos and memes on the internet which can feel confusing for daters in the modern world being told that the right person would be able to read your mind and just give you everything you need, without being asked. Sam and I dig into what is behind this overused phrase that perpetuates the toxic "throw away" culture of modern dating. Attachment theory research has been evolving since the last 60s and I discovered its impact in my life about five years ago. I sought out a counselor and began to interview experts in relationship theory and practice on this podcast. Tune in today to learn how to spot an anxiously attached date while learning tools to grow through this lens of self-awareness. Did you enjoy the podcast? Previously on the podcast, Talia and I dug in to attachment styles, masculine and feminine energy dynamics and so much more. This time around, I asked three questions that are most common in our community of authentic daters. Why do you attract emotionally unavailable people? Why do I push people away when dating? Why do men numb out to deal with internal conflict? These questions and more will be answered by my guest Traver Boehm, author, speaker, and facilitator of the Uncivilized Nation. If her message resonated with you today, please connect with Sam on Instagram @_samanthagraham_ and check out her podcast here. Did you enjoy the podcast? On this week's episode, I am joined by real life dater Natalie Bell, from Cleveland, Ohio, to discuss how to shoot your shot on social media in a way that works to get you a first date; even if the person does not live near you. Natalie believes that fear of being judged and not liked is what holds people back in dating and relationships and we dig into the limiting beliefs we carry with us from our past. After a long term relationship that ended, Natalie set out to heal and learn more about herself as she put herself back out there, began to improve her life and put herself first. Since then, she has seen more excitement in her dating life and has learned more about herself as a result. Subscribe to the podcast and tune in next week as I begin a new series on First Dates with returning guests Dr. Morgan Anderson and Nicole Kay plus real life dater Becky. Can anyone really find a life partner on Tiktok? How does anyone learn to communicate on an emotional level with an avoidant? We both are familiar with our attachment styles, is there hope? What's your opinion on paid dating sites versus free sites and apps? Any preference one way or another? Any experiences you want to share? On this week's episode of the podcast, I am joined by Charlotte Warren to talk all things ghosting in the modern dating era. What is ghosting? We dig into the timeline of when ghosting is acceptable and when it's not at all justifiable. If you're single in 2022, you've been ghosted. You may have even done some ghosting yourself. Hell, I have experienced both and today we get clear on what the definition of ghosting really is. Charlotte and I even expand on a few questions submitted by our audience members. Here they are: A definition. I see this term used so often and it seems to mean different things to all. Why (would someone ghost)? Where did this trend come from? Is it a lack of accountability in dating? What do we do to recover from the shock and heartache? When is ghosting a YOU problem? If Charlotte's message resonated with you today, please connect with her on Tiktok @welcometothepeasantparty and to read her entire blog with the Ghosting chart mentioned in today's episode, click here now. On this week's episode, I welcome back Dr. Carrie Johansson to speak with me about psychological flexibility, modern marriage and what to look for on a first date. We both believe that fear and anxiety hold people back in relationships and I cannot thank Dr. Carrie enough for joining me to provide a reflection for me about my recent break up. We dig into so many awesome topics on this podcast and here are a few of the biggest takeaways: Psychological flexibility is the ability to notice the things around you while putting less weight to it. Spinning in outrage keeps you in the stance of the victim. A lot of modern daters want everything to move quickly and the point of a first date is to determine if you want a second. If Dr. Carrie's message resonates with you today, please listen to her previous episode and reach out to her via her website at selfhelponthego.com and pick up a copy of her new book! If you're looking for more support in your relationship right now, please reach out to me with any questions on Instagram @daveglaser_cscs or on Tiktok @dave.glaser

We dig in to how people show up online in the modern world, how we can better understand our attachment styles plus how our masculine and feminine energies play a part in dating online and in person. If her message resonates with you today, please connect with Tiffany on her website tiffanpygingrich.com or on Tiktok @tiffanygringrich Subscribe and share this episode today!
On this week's episode, we welcome back Stuart Motola for a follow up interview to catch up with him after years of international travel. With over 15 years working with thousands of men on their relationships and personal growth, Stuart utilizes a unique system that breaks the patterns that keep men tied up in frustrating relationships. Stuart and I dig deeper into the psyche of the Nice Guy and how he shows up in relationship as a martyr or victim and how he self-sabotages his relationships. Have you been in a relationship with a Nice Guy? Have you seen Nice Guy tendencies show up in yourself in a relationship? Please connect with Stuart on his website, stuartmotola.com or on YouTube @stuartmotola to learn more about how he supports men and couples in their relationships. Texting, social media and dating apps have us believing we need instant access to each other. What we discuss today will challenge the narrative that love needs to be a certain way. Nicole and I orginally connected on TikTok through our common interest in the savagery that can be modern dating. We discuss two relationships that came about over Tiktok and what Nicole learned as a result. We also discuss how to approach responding when someone is beginning to project their personal BS onto their date or partner. Let's take a look at what occurred at the Oscars from a different angle on today's solo podcast episode. Did you catch what happened between Will Smith and Chris Rock? What came up for you when you saw what went down between the two involved? For me, compassion and curiosity were at the forefront of the interaction. Did I have initial judgement while watching the altercation through my own lens and experiences? Absolutely. And I chose to sit with the emotions that showed up for me and decided to go live on TikTok to provide support for our community with what showed up for them as well. Tune in as I share what my thoughts and feelings were about the whole scenario including the memes, videos and assumptions that appeared on social media over the next day. Subscribe now and be the first to hear what our expert guest has to say about relational programming and cognitive dissonance on next week's episode with returning guest and psychologist, Dr. Liz Fedrick.

After five years of training in the "gentle art" of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I was honored and humbled to receive my purple belt from the Easton Academy in Denver, Co. I wanted to include our community in the celebration of that promotion as it has so much to do with moments in my life where I was tested and needed to stay grounded. Jiu-jitsu is a practice that helps me do that in the healthiest way possible. In January of '22, I was consumed with work and I felt my reactivity showing up more than I would have liked through the stressful busy season. Now it's March and I am back to training and facing the next chapter in my life with humility and a new mindset, which impacts my relationships in every area of my life. Tune in now to hear the full story and celebrate with me today!
