Fabrice Leggeri – dyrektor wykonawczy Frontexu w latach 2015–2022, dziś europoseł Zjednoczenia Narodowego – w rozmowie z Radiem Wnet ostro skrytykował ówczesną linię Komisji Europejskiej wobec migracji i własnej agencji. Kiedy służby białoruskie zaczęły przepychać migrantów do Litwy, rząd w Wilnie poprosił o pomoc Frontex. Rządy prezydenta Macrona doprowadziły do rozczłonkowania kraju– ocenił.

Blaise Agüera y Arcas explores some mind-bending ideas about what intelligence and life really are—and why they might be more similar than we think (filmed at ALIFE conference, 2025 - https://2025.alife.org/).Life and intelligence are both fundamentally computational (he says). From the very beginning, living things have been running programs. Your DNA? It's literally a computer program, and the ribosomes in your cells are tiny universal computers building you according to those instructions.**SPONSOR MESSAGES**—Prolific - Quality data. Today, I had the privilege of once again sitting down with the incredible Sissela Johansson on my podcast. Our previous conversation felt like we had paused it midway, leaving so much more to explore, so we decided to return and continue the journey. As always, our discussion reached profound depths, diving into the deeper meaning of photography. We focused on the psychological aspects of working with subjects and explored human nature through the photographer's lens.It was fascinating to see how naturally our conversation flowed into these meaningful, often unspoken areas of artistic creation—topics rarely discussed among photographers. I am deeply grateful to Sissela for guiding this journey into places we seldom go, reminding us that creating images is only part of the process. Understanding ourselves and our subjects is what gives true clarity to the art of photography. From there, we shifted into the business side, discussing the delicate balance between creating and selling—a challenge many photographers face. This part of the conversation is one you will not want to miss.Thank you, Sissela, for another inspiring discussion. Once again, it feels as though our conversation is far from over, and I have no doubt we will return to it in the future.I invite you to join me in this engaging and thought-provoking dialogue with the one and only Sissela Johansson.►https://www.sisselajohansson.com►https://www.instagram.com/sissela.johansson►https://dk.pinterest.com/photographybysissela/►https://www.facebook.com/sissela.rnholt.johansson►https://www.facebook.com/PhotographybySissela► Subscribe to My Channel Here: http://www.youtube.com/c/RafalWegiel ►Website: http://www.rafalwegiel.com ►Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rafalwegiel ►Twitter: https://twitter.com/rafalwegiel ►Instagram: http://instagram.com/rafalwegiel ►Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rafalwegiel
Chris Paul and Burning Bright dive into Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation, unpacking its themes of alienation, paradigm shifts, and fleeting human connection. They explore Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson's unlikely bond in Tokyo, debating whether the film's ambiguity makes it profound or pretentious. The hosts tackle Coppola's directing choices, the infamous opening shot, and the controversy of Johansson's age during filming, weighing how Hollywood's “male gaze” and art-house ambitions collide. From existential dread to pseudo-intellectual musings, they contrast Murray's weathered perspective with Johansson's youthful searching, examining how both characters project fantasies of freedom while feeling trapped in different ways. Along the way, they connect the film's commentary on identity and artifice to the decline of the modern movie star, social media overexposure, and Hollywood's struggle to create new icons. The episode closes with reflections on ambiguous endings, fantasy vs. reality, and next week's pick, M. Night Shyamalan's Split. It's a thoughtful, critical, and often humorous exploration of a movie that lingers long after the credits roll.
