Are you exhausted all the time? In this solo episode, Darin breaks down why so many people feel chronically exhausted despite eating clean, exercising, and "doing everything right." He explains how modern life disrupts mitochondrial function, circadian rhythm, stress signaling, and nutrient availability, and why fatigue is not a personal failure, but a biological signal. This episode offers a grounded, practical roadmap to restoring energy by realigning your environment, habits, and daily rhythms with how the body is actually designed to function. What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why chronic fatigue is exploding—even among healthy, active people How mitochondria do far more than "make energy" The role of circadian rhythm, light exposure, and timing in energy production Why stress, overtraining, and modern lifestyles drain cellular energy How emotional suppression and unexpressed stress affect vitality The difference between forcing energy and allowing energy Simple daily practices that support mitochondrial repair How breathwork, stillness, and social connection restore resilience Why nutrition alone isn't enough without rhythm and recovery How to realign your biology with the modern world Timecodes 00:00:00 – Welcome to SuperLife and the intention behind this episode 00:00:32 – Sponsor: TheraSage and natural frequency-based healing 00:02:10 – Happy New Year + why this conversation matters now 00:02:37 – Are you exhausted even though you're "doing everything right"? 00:03:26 – The modern energy crisis and rising chronic fatigue 00:04:12 – Why surface-level health advice no longer works 00:04:27 – Mitochondria: more than energy factories 00:04:59 – Circadian misalignment, EMFs, and modern stressors 00:05:36 – Overtraining, stress load, and lack of recovery 00:06:00 – Fatigue as a signal, not a lack of discipline 00:06:18 – How artificial light disrupts internal clocks 00:07:25 – Discipline as alignment with natural rhythms 00:07:36 – Emotional release, primal expression, and energy recovery 00:08:47 – Why "why am I tired all the time?" is exploding online 00:09:24 – The mitochondria as environmental sensors 00:10:06 – Stress signaling, thoughts, and cellular energy flow 00:11:18 – Breathwork and slowing the nervous system 00:12:24 – Social connection and low-stress signaling 00:13:02 – Sponsor: Bite toothpaste and eliminating plastic exposure 00:15:19 – Morning sunlight and circadian priming 00:15:52 – Reducing artificial light at night 00:16:15 – Nutrients that support mitochondrial function 00:17:29 – Sleep timing, consistency, and repair 00:18:20 – Evening routines and melatonin protection 00:19:46 – Small daily steps compound into real energy 00:20:17 – Antioxidants, inflammation, and recovery 00:20:49 – Training smarter, not harder 00:21:31 – Breathwork, sauna, and recovery rituals 00:22:26 – Nutrition, protein, and polyphenols 00:24:37 – Five daily energy takeaways 00:25:24 – Energy is permitted, not forced 00:26:03 – Listening to the body and closing reflections 00:26:49 – SuperLife Patreon and community support Join the SuperLife Community Get Darin's deeper wellness breakdowns — beyond social media restrictions: Weekly voice notes Ingredient deep dives Wellness challenges Energy + consciousness tools Community accountability Extended episodes Join for $7.49/month → https://patreon.com/darinolien Thank You to Our Sponsors: Therasage: Go to www.therasage.com and use code DARIN at checkout for 15% off Bite Toothpaste: Go to trybite.com/DARIN20 or use code DARIN20 for 20% off your first order. God works through seed, time, and trust, not shortcuts or instant results. This message reveals how hope, generosity, and faith are planted in seed form, reminding us that God brings growth as we steward what He places in our hands. Through Scripture, we see that hope is not fragile, faith precedes understanding, and God develops strong, lasting lives when we choose to believe, sow, and walk forward with confidence in His promises.CHAPTERS:00:00:00:00 – Welcome and service introduction00:01:41:12 – Believing God for a miraculous life00:02:03:00 – The oak tree and acorn analogy00:03:16:00 – Seed is meant to be sown, not eaten00:04:24:17 – God withholds no good thing00:05:22:18 – Prosperity leads to generosity00:06:27:17 – Seed produces 30, 60, 100-fold00:07:32:04 – Faith first, understanding later00:08:07:00 – Managing seed and guarding the soil00:08:28:16 – The importance of church and community00:10:49:01 – Sowing seed and watching what happens00:12:09:21 – Faithfulness leads to eating the good of the land00:14:03:01 – Christmas season and the need for hope00:16:28:19 – God sends His Word and brings healing00:18:08:06 – Isaiah: a great light in darkness00:19:49:13 – Hope is God's answer to hopelessness00:21:34:11 – Hope arrived as a baby00:22:18:01 – Jesus came as an acorn, not an oak00:23:26:12 – Faith doesn't follow logic00:29:20:01 – Rejoicing in heaven when one repents00:33:09:13 – Romans 15:13 explained00:35:08:08 – Hope is secure, not fragile00:36:56:20 – Looking forward with confidence00:38:40:21 – Why the kids building matters00:39:29:21 – Happy, healthy, and whole00:40:59:20 – Invitation to salvation00:44:34:13 – Salvation prayer00:45:12:19 – Service closing

In this episode of Beyond the Code, Yitzy sits down with David Alexander “Alex” Scheer, founder and CEO of zkMe, a zero-knowledge identity network that lets users prove who they are - and meet KYC/AML requirements - without exposing their personal data. zkMe builds identity oracles that turn existing credentials (passports, bank accounts, credit scores, tax records and more) into reusable, privacy-preserving proofs using zero-knowledge technology. Alex shares how a career that started in mechanical engineering and aerospace, moved through automotive supply-chain consulting and software, and eventually led him to Shanghai, MiCA, and the decision to jump head-first into decentralized identity. We dig into why MiCA's early drafts convinced him that Web3 would need a decentralized identity primitive to survive, and how zkMe is now serving millions of verified users while staying fully privacy-first and compliant. Together we unpack what zero-knowledge proofs actually are (in human language), why Alex thinks ZK is more foundational than blockchains themselves, and how zk-based KYC can both meet FATF-level requirements and keep users pseudonymous until regulators really have grounds to pierce the veil. We explore the tension between regulators who are increasingly open to ZK approaches and compliance officers who've done things the same way for 40 years, as well as how stablecoins, self-custodial wallets and secondary markets are forcing a rethink of identity and risk. From open banking ZK credentials and under-collateralized lending, to AI agents, the “machine economy,” and the business model behind decentralized compliance, Alex explains where zkMe is growing next and why he sees ZK identity as an anti-cyclical bet on crypto's regulated future.

Karl Scheer is Chief Investment Officer at the University of Cincinnati, a role he has held for over 13 years. He previously worked in a series of consulting and other financial roles. Karl gave a wonderful overview of his career in this Capital Allocators Podcast with Ted Seides, so we wanted to take up where that left off, and hear about his evolution in the CIO role since that interview. We start by asking about what, from his rich background, Karl continues to draw upon in his CIO work and ask what has changed, both about the market backdrop and how he perceives the role. We discuss the constraints that come with size, and how the venture capital and private equity ecosystems are evolving. We also tackle the shifts he has made in managing the fund from a material hedge fund position and active management in public equities to a focus on private equity, growth equity, and real assets. With thanks to Baillie Gifford for sponsoring Series 4 of 2025. Baillie Gifford is a long-term investment manager, dedicated to discovering the innovations and changemakers that deliver exceptional growth opportunities for its clients.
