My life hasn't always been this way... happy, stable, thriving... there's a lot that life determined had to happen first to change the trajectory of who I would become. While I had my fair share of "time in the trenches" and spent most of my life a mental mess, I wouldn't change a thing because I wouldn't be the woman, fiancee, dog mom (lol), sister, daughter, friend, mentor, coach, and educator I am today. I realized I had the power to change my life, and so I did. And you can too. I have struggled with body image for as long as I remember, and I even do now all these years (and pounds lost) later. Today I am sharing a story about my athletic years and how one diagnosis changed everything. Depression, anxiety, loneliness... whatever we give power to takes power over us. Let's change that narrative.

Give yourself grace and know with time, you can overcome anything.
