Meet Jenna! @jennasurureal I met Jenna on the last night before London’s lockdown began. Along with the rest of the city, we found out that events (like LIFF) were finishing early, that social places and businesses would be shutting down. That ourselves, along with many of our friends and colleagues would be facing many tricky times ahead. It felt like the titanic was sinking and we were the musicians standing on deck. But despite that, we had the most amazing night. We chatted and chatted. Did a little filming. Did a little more filming when I realised my tech skills still weren’t quite up to par...don’t ask. Then we drank Mojitos, watched a film about drag queens, and nicked sweets from the pic’n’mix (...sorry Genesis cinema (tag)). It just goes to show that there’s always a bit of goodness to be found. This wonderful filmmaker has lots to come and lots to teach about independent cinema.
