The Come Down is a deep techno set performed live by Antonio Fevola — a voyage crafted to dissolve reality. His set will immediately have your attention — rhythmic, trippy and pounding, alive — it slowly mutates. Through carefully layered transitions, looping textures, and relentless four-on-the-floor rhythms, Antonio will lead you through the stages of the "come down". This is techno! Born in Naples at the end of ‘90, Antonio Fevola is a rising force in the underground techno scene. After beginning his musical journey in 2013, he discovered some years later his true passion for techno, marking the shift to a deeper, more evolving style that would define his career. After spending the first part of his career in Naples, he felt the need to seek new inspiration and moved to Amsterdam in 2021, where he could immerse himself in a scene where techno music was more central. In Amsterdam, he quickly transitioned from peak-time techno to a more hypnotic, groove-driven sound, developing a unique style that reflects his artistic vision. In September 2022 Antonio founds DAMn Techno, with the scope of fully expressing his vision and sound without boundaries. Through DAMn Techno, he has organized and performed at several events, with more planned for the future. Antonio's talent quickly gained attention, with a standout performance at the Endless Records offSonar event in 2023, alongside artists such as Flug, Marco Bailey, Klaudia Gawlas, and Fernanda Martins. His connection to the Amsterdam scene grew as he became a member of the Subliminal Collective, leading to gigs in 2023 with artists like Flits and Thoms Traxx, then closing the year with the honor of playing at Berlin's iconic KitKatClub. In 2024, Antonio's career continued to flourish, with notable performances at two Subliminal Weekender parties, presences in radios like Relate Radio of Groningen and international gigs in Sofia and Dortmund. As he continues to evolve, Antonio is dedicated to pushing the limits of his craft and creating unforgettable experiences for his audience. https://soundcloud.com/djantoniofevola

Last week, country singer Orville Peck made his Broadway debut alongside two-time Tony nominee Eva Noblezada in “Cabaret” at The Kit Kat Club. Peck stars as the Emcee and Noblezada as Sally Bowles. The two discuss stepping into their roles in this Broadway revival through July.
Back in 2021, I sat down with one of the most versatile and in-demand drummers on Broadway: Sean McDaniel.Since that interview, Sean's career has only expanded. He's played Some Like It Hot, Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club and now holds the drum chair for one of the most buzzed-about new musicals on Broadway: Smash. So I figured—why not bring this conversation back to the forefront? In this re-released episode, Sean gives us an inside look at the early development of The Book of Mormon, starting with a modest 20-minute workshop. It's wild to hear how the show started with hand-drawn cartoons projected behind a reading stage—and how Sean's ability to adapt, play by ear, and control dynamics became essential in shaping the drum parts that evolved over the years.Broadway Drumming 101 is reader-supported. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. He talks about the two lives of Broadway drumming: playing with “toothpicks” during readings and unleashing full stadium energy in the pit once the show is fully staged. That flexibility—combined with a deep understanding of styles and musical storytelling—is what sets him apart.Sean also shares how his high school show choir days prepared him for the dynamic, mic-less world of workshops and readings. He developed a skill many overlook: playing softly while still maintaining intensity. If you're a drummer looking to understand what it really takes to build a Broadway career from the ground up—this is an essential listen. The full episode drops this Saturday.

DANKE!

Let me tell you something about life, old chum. It's only a cabaret. Kill Nazis. November is for the musicals and we're RAISING THE CURTAIN & BELTING THE CHORUS all month long and it's time to hit up a Bob Fosse joint in this iconic adaptation starring stage legend and Queen of the Theatre Nerds, Liza Minelli. Bob is learning this shit for the first time but you theater nerds already know about the most prolific film in Minelli's life and career and it's none other than Fosse's 1961 hit “CABARET” also starring Michael York, Joel Grey and more. There is no richer era to strike negative social parallels than early to mid-century Germany. The Kit Kat Club seems like a grand ‘ol time but it's only a matter of time before the audience turns on their entertainment. In the thick of it is Sally Bowls, lore accurate OG Manic Pixie Dream Girl, and her timid soon-to-be lover, Brian. It's a freewheeling, song slinging, sugar baby life. Love has its ups and downs and sometimes you end hooking up with your girlfriend's sugar daddy. It's a rather unique story to tell to a broad audience in 1972 (and before). Let's talk Sally Bowls, old chum. Happy Pride Fiends! Alright we know it's July, but we had one more pride episode on the books so we're giving it to you anyway. This one is for the musical theater fans! Before The stonewall there was the Edorado Cabaret, a german, multi locational, enlightened, anything goes wonderland where liberation was was abundant. We have learned that you cannot talk about LGBTQ+ history without mentioning Weimar Republic era Berlin. There, for a time, life really was beautiful. This is the story of the real Kit Kat Club and the glittery, tragic history that inspired the musical Cabaret. Dylan and Connor are joined by MiMi Scardulla (Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, A Beautiful Noise). Happy Pride month, y'all! And what a way to celebrate – by hearing all about MiMi's stunning engagement to her partner, her queer awakening, and why representation means so much, even now in 2024. Years after seeing MiMi bust it DOWN in Kristin Chenoweth's For the Girls on Broadway, the twins finally meet the icon, the legend, the star herself. Currently welcoming everyone to the Kit Kat Club as Texas in Cabaret, MiMi talks all things related to the Broadway revival. She fills the boys in on her own Ring of Keys moment in the arts (it's a two-for-one!) and the queer awakening Ring of Keys she had several years ago. We gush over friend of the pod - and MiMi's real life best friend - Tyler Hanes. Their friendship origin story is to die for, y'all. We get into A Beautiful Noise, The Heart of Rock and Roll, We Are The Tigers, and MORE. Welcome to Cabaret At The Kit Kat Club! The star-studded Broadway revival is nominated for 9 Tony Awards. Including acting nominations for it's two big stars. Connor and Dylan are joined by Henry Gottfried (Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Waitress). Much like Cabaret's Ernst fatefully meeting Cliff on the train, Henry meets the twins on the pod for a serendipitous and lovely conversation. We go all in on Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club: gagging for Gayle Rankin, a gorgeous German accent, and what it's like for audiences to receive this story. Henry? A STAR. The boys also FINALLY get into Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department. Bonus track: Connor & Dylan & Henry & Oomfs. Additionally, Henry regales the twins with stories of growing up in an artistic environment in Tennessee, and a very unique Into the Woods Ring of Keys that even had the twins gagging. Hear all about Henry getting cast in NBC's Peter Pan: Live, going on tour with Pippin and Bright Star, and making pies with the original cast of Waitress (and live capture film!). We also chat about Henry's directing experiences, his adoration for Alyse Alan Louis, Dylan's addiction to The Notebook album, and Connor's Queer as Folk journey. LADYLIKE - Die Podcast-Show: Der Talk über Sex, Liebe & Erotik
