I recorded this just after a one-on-one coaching call with Tori, one of the bonus opportunities you get when you join the mastermind … and Tori kicked off the call with the most amazing news! The inevitable (because their success was inevitable and they dreamt it so it was meant to be!) booking for $2500 had just happened. We screamed. We celebrated. But it wasn't even a major freak out or excitement for Tori because they knew they were worthy and deserving. They'd done the work of regulating this new desired reality long before the moment actually came. … and that's available for you, too. Dream big, because your dreams are meant for you! Doors to the mastermind are open, and in this episode I talk a little more about Tori's experience, and about how you can feel grounded, peaceful, and regulated in your business too, as you reach new levels of success with pleasure and ease. If you're interested in joining this round, being 1 of the 10 people in it, shoot me a DM on Instagram or schedule a call here: Will you be one of the 10 in this round of success stories? What will your life look like in November when the mastermind ends? Will you have accomplished everything your heart desires (in a peaceful, regulated way) or could you use some support and encouragement along the way? Today, so much of what I'm proud of in my business roots back to this one scary, exciting decision. Listen in to hear what it was! LINKS: Rocket Fuel

If you've followed me for a while, you've likely heard me talk about the amazing weeks we've had where we book 5 out of 5 inquiries for our wedding photo + video business, Almond Leaf Studios. In fact, I've learned to master, and even love, the sales process. But, what you may not have heard are the times when we get rejection after rejection. This short + sweet episode lets you in on my mindset when those weeks happen.
Maybe you didn't finish the year strong as you tumbled into the new year. Maybe you finished soft, tender, tired, or curious. However you find yourself kicking off the first week of the new year, this episode has some very simple, practical ways you can not only connect back to yourself, but create clarity about what you desire. It's a breath of fresh air, and we recommend a listen in some fresh air for extra inspiration! Give it a listen, give yourself some grace and lovingkindness, and create an openness to receive more love, abundance, and delight this year than any year before. Here's to kicking off 2023.

In this episode you can expect laughter, tears, frustration and celebration. My hope is to normalize the full spectrum of emotions, and also to remind you that business (and life) truly can be easy and feel good ... and also, that you're not failing when you hit a bump in the road. Motivated by a moment of conversation in the chat during one of the mastermind bonus options, our weekly "power hours" where we co-work in the most beautiful way, this podcast is a reflection of the power that can happen in a community. Did you know there are only a few ways you can increase your revenue? Listen in to see what the simple way is that this gorgeous human is totally revolutionizing their business. Totally unprompted, too. Because, when you change your mindset (beliefs), you change your life.
One of the most inspiring instagram accounts out there, in my opinion, is August Knox Coaching, so I couldn't resist inviting her onto the podcast. In this episode we talk about our own healing journeys, modalities that have supported us throughout the journey, and ways that we've blocked our own potential. Listen in to learn more about what it means to be an empath, and how healing is available to each of us in a quick, simple way if we'll choose it. Plus, she'll even do some energy clearing on me, to give you a glimpse into what a session with someone like herself would be like! You don't want to miss this. About Aspen: I'm Aspen, an Energy Healer & Intuitive Coach who believes that when we show up as our most authentic self, able to own what is so special about us, we become unstoppable in creating a life filled with Abundance, Healing & Wholeness. I got started on this journey awhile ago when my son was born 2 months premature & we had an unanticipated NICU stay followed by 8 long years of PTSD & anxiety. I struggled for a really long time to figure out how I could heal myself from the trauma of that experience. As luck would have it, that's how I ended up finding the Emotion/Body Code. It was like a light in the darkness to be able to let go of so many feelings and fears I had been holding onto. Links: Healing the Inner Child
You get to choose how you want to live your life and how good you get to feel doing it. I know how it feels to take so much on — to feel everything, to absorb everything, to absorb all of the energy around you at any given moment. If you're a highly sensitive person (HSP) like me, or an empath, or basically just human at all, you probably know what I'm referring to. Lately, I've been trying to focus on the idea that I don't have to be a sponge. I don't have to absorb everything, I don't have to take in everything, and I don't have to be everything all the time. I can just feel my feelings — whether it's grief, or rage, or excitement, or happiness — and I can let those feelings float by. Because, as we move through the world and bring our art, our passions, and our work to life, we don't have to be tied to the outcomes. Instead, we can stand deeply embodied, realizing that we're worthy of everything our hearts desire. And when we position ourselves from a place of receiving, of giving, and of allowing things to come and go to wash in and out of our lives without attachment without pressure, we're able to receive what we're worthy of. I hope you love today's episode. But, more importantly, I hope you remember that you're more than worthy of it all.
I recently hosted a live workshop, and began it with a guided meditation on raising your rates. It was such a beautiful time together that I couldn't resist sharing the replay here as well. In this episode you'll get a glimpse of what it's like to work with an intuitive business coach, listen in to some common concerns that bubble up with raising rates, and leave feeling better, having more clarity about what you'd like your future to look like and what you need to do to get there. Listen in when you're ready to uplevel your life, and stay grounded doing so.
Over the last year or so, I have leaned in powerfully to the practice of bragging. Deliciously, beautifully, playfully bragging. And I know that, for a lot of us, the word “bragging” holds a negative connotation. In fact, it probably sounds like we're being selfish or out of tune with ourselves. But, let me tell you… bragging can be the biggest mindset shift you ever experience. It holds the power to reset negative thought patterns, can bring you back to center, and can change your entire life. In this episode, I'm sharing a few brags with you — like how I am bragging that I am helping people like YOU lean into yourselves, that I am leading a beautiful mastermind space, and that my life and my business feel GOOD lately. So good, in fact… that I wouldn't have believed it possible just a few years ago. And then, my friend, I want to ask you: when's the last time you bragged on yourself so beautifully that your voice started shaking? When's the last time you bragged about your space, about your business, about your joy? I want to invite you to join me — to brag alongside me, too — and to invest in resources and support, like Finding Peace & Profit, that make bragging a conscious “yes!” kind of choice in your everyday life. Hold space for this, okay? Hold space for you. LINKS: Finding Peace and Profit
You might be ready to “quantum leap” ahead, towards some big changes in your business. Maybe you even know you want to hire some support, outsource, or create new workflows. Sometimes, we have to slow down a bit before we get to speed up and see exponential shifts that compound. In this week's episode I'm bringing in my husband David to dig into this concept that we've both been learning and putting into practice — because allowing ourselves to slow down, to hand things off, and to open up more space has started to change everything at Almond Leaf Studios. For David, this has meant hiring someone to provide editing support with our videos — which has been a big change, and hasn't necessarily been fun or easy the whole way through (but is so worth it). It's all about the small steps to make the big changes, and sometimes those small steps are slower ones… and they're just as sweet.
As one of the most intuitive coaches I know, Alicia Nicole gives a beautiful introduction to the modality of Human Design as one of the many tools she uses in her holistic coaching practice. On this episode we joke about starting a group for post “bro marketing” experiences with coaches, discuss some common tendencies we see in online marketing, and dive into her many years of experience working behind the scenes with some of the top coaches and experts in the industry. Alicia is showing us what human design is and how you use it to build a life and a business that's truly in alignment.. We also chat about the lessons she learned from leaving religion, the experiences that led her to the success she has today, and how following intuition is the key to building a more aligned life. Listen in for an episode sure to bring you back to yourself.
I don't know about you, but I've been feeling this collective grief pulsing through our nation as of late. It's so easy to get caught up in staying busy as a subconscious way to avoid the feelings. The fear of the grief, the sadness, the anger taking over, as if a sea at storm, ready to take out anyone and anything in its path is so real. I have been allowing the waves of grief to pulse, move through my body, and to be present with them. To welcome and honor them. To invite them to move in and through me to be released. After a session of grieving, I found myself thinking about the dichotomy of what it looks like to be so present with your deepest feelings and yet also hold extreme excitement, joy, and gratitude for the work that you are doing in the world. This is my reality, and the reality of so many of my coaching clients. And so, I sat down and recorded this bonus episode. Just for you. To remind you that you are uniquely you and this world needs what you have to offer. Just as you. With all your grief and anger present, too.Listen in. Pass it along to your friends. It's a good one.
What if, my friend, you stopped thinking so much about the arrival? And more about the journey that gets you there? I know how it feels to focus on the arrival — but I also know how much better it feels to reframe the journey and revel in that instead. And, while it feels good — way better, in fact — it's also so transformative and freeing and joyful, too. On today's episode, I'm talking about how you can find that joy in the journey on the way to arrival. We're going to dive into how you can reframe your experiences, how you can lean into your journey, and how you can celebrate each moment… not just the seemingly massive ones. Because, guess what? When you can reframe that journey, you can unfold magic and joy like you never even realized.
Have you ever found yourself drowning in grief, or wondering how to wrestle with the strangeness of the human experience as heartbreaking news continues to unfold in the world? I couldn't think of a better person to interview than my own doula, who helped me welcome my first baby into the world, and has seen, experienced and participated in countless life and death moments during her own lifetime. Her perspective on grief and the rub of gratitude that's found in the midst of deep grief is such an inspiration. Listen in if you're ready for her inspiring, beautiful perspective. _____________ Chama has been attending births as a birth doula in Asheville since 1999 and teaching childbirth education classes since 2002. Today, I'm talking about something that's absolutely essential to increasing your bookings: adding more touch points for potential clients to see along the way. See, touch points — or those little ways in which potential clients are interacting with your brand — are way more important than you might think. A lot of the photographers and creatives will send one pricing PDF guide to a potential client, and then hear crickets. I used to be the same, too! But, adding a few more touch points along the way is what will level up that area of your business and increase confidence from your clients and from you. This episode is the perfect short listen for streamlining that area of your business so that you can book more projects and clients that you're proud of! LINK: Art of Booking
On this episode of I Might Cry, I'm sharing the practice I've been implementing into my mornings lately for a life that feels equal parts intentional, mindful, and magical. The simple truth that makes life feel just a little easier: you get the chance to do a little reset every single day as the sun starts to sneak up into the sky, and you get the chance to live your life in a more intentional way, too. By taking that chance and really, truly approaching your mornings from that standpoint of renewal and gratitude, everything changes. Listen in for some ways to make those mornings of yours a sacred start to the day, and try to take the time to give yourself a little extra thanks, too — because you're here, you woke up, and you have a brand new day in front of you, every single day. In this week's episode of I Might Cry, I'm taking you behind the scenes of a coaching call with one of my clients where we dig deep into the limiting beliefs that tend to get in the way of everything. From the way we price our services to the way we approach our lives, these beliefs can affect so much of our daily decisions. My client on this call is an incredible musician dealing with the growing pains that so many of us have to deal with… like raising rates (even when it feels scary), taking ownership of the value we all offer, and struggling with feeling like we need to justify every single step we take in business. This episode is the sweetest reminder that you are where you are for a reason — and is packed with tons of little gems, from a mini tapping session all the way to digging into your inner child, and finding out how you can keep healing them as you go. It feels a little like a therapy session wrapped into a podcast episode, and I can't wait for you to listen in. Links: Consistent Income for Creatives Facebook Group
In this week's episode of I Might Cry I'm sitting down with my husband, David, to talk about something hugely important that's been defining in our lives lately: the releasing of control. From the way we run Almond Leaf to the way we parent our kids to the way we maintain our own relationships, control (or a releasing of it) has been hugely, hugely impactful. We're talking about how to welcome in the hard things, how to support without control, and how to live a life that's rich in abundance and joy and love and everything in between. If you've been looking for a reminder to let go — and to just let… life — then this is the perfect, perfect listen for you. Whether you're a parent, a creative entrepreneur, or just a human trying to make it on this crazy journey we call life, listen in.
In this episode, we're taking it behind the scenes! Inside my course, Art of Booking, we dig deep into business strategy and mindset work in our weekly coaching calls. We recently had a powerful conversation about everything from charging what you're worth to defining your worthiness to getting to the root of deep fears and beliefs that every single one of us deal with. So, whether you're a photographer looking to attract more weddings or a creative entrepreneur looking to understand your value and raise your rates, this one's for you. It's packed with tons of gold nuggets of wisdom the whole way through, and it's the perfect listen for anyone who needs a little encouragement, a little strategy, and a little collaboration. There's nothing quite like sprinting right into things that feel unknown or scary, but also feel 10 kinds of right, is there? I got to dive into this with my friend Alyssa Foushee, who faced all that fear to try something new — AKA buying, fixing up, and creating Airbnb businesses out of beautiful log cabins in Charlotte, North Carolina. Also known as The Southern Host, Alyssa and her husband have been able to create a thriving business that brings them tons of joy — and profit — every single day. In this episode, Alyssa shares her advice for testing out the Airbnb waters, talks about how passive income can allow you to shift your priorities, and dives into managing the reality of being a “yes” girl. Did you know that your business doesn't have to feel so hard? In fact, your business is supposed to feel good. Open for opportunity. Beautiful. Really, it's supposed to make you proud. And, I know from personal experience — and from the experience of so many of my students and fellow entrepreneurs, too — that really making your business feel GOOD starts with one thing: tracking your leads. In this episode, I'm showing you why — and how — to start tracking your leads in a way that makes sense for you. See, I'm a HUGE believer that the energy you give to your business (and the energy that your business gives you) shouldn't be that draining type of energy, you know? It should be the life-giving kind. The soulful kind. Lead tracking is what's going to get you there, and this episode will show you how.
Curious to know what's going on behind the scenes in my business? In this episode I'm introducing you to Alyse, my OBM/Integrator that is single handed responsible for making this podcast happen. Not sure what an OBM/Integrator is, or if you need one? They pull back the curtain on some of the pros and cons of what they have done and now do to help grow their business and find the ideal clients. Elizabeth and David may see things differently but they ultimately share the same value system and have found so much clarity in their method. In this episode, Elizabeth and Emma dive into how creativity can thrive most when we are at peace. This soulful, honest conversation discusses how showing up imperfectly allows you to be vulnerable and alive, and magnetically draws in like-minded clients as well. Both women find goodness in the “stretchy” part of growth in business. By being a co-collaborator with your clients and audience, and being open to feedback, everything can come together for maximum growth, creativity, and potential. Having a business for more than two decades, Elizabeth and David are normalizing difficult situations in business and discussing the good that can come from experiencing them. We all receive negative feedback and encounter dissatisfied customers every now and again, but how you respond to them is what can either keep you stuck, or help you grow as a business owner. If you choose to focus consciously or subconsciously on the one negative experience, giving it a lot of attention and energy, it can dilute all of the other beautiful experiences and happy clients you have far more of. In this conversation, Elizabeth and David encourage you to take a pause, think through how you want to respond and realize that we all just want to be seen and heard. If you go into a difficult situation with this in mind, what could come from it is more understanding and change for the better.
Elizabeth chats with Madison Dalmaso, a 7-figure high performance lifestyle and business mentor, who studied under the renowned Bob Proctor, learning about the Law of Attraction.Madison explains that we are all vibrational beings who are constantly in motion. And because we are in motion, we exist on frequencies. If we can learn how to tap into a different frequency, where our biggest dreams and desires live, we can change our own vibration and ultimately attract and achieve what we want most. Tune in to listen to this conversation about what manifestation really is, and learn how you can use it in your life to grow your business, increase your wealth, and find more fulfillment.
