In 101, we check out "The Snoopy Show", S3, episode 4 - which is apparently a celebration of all things snail mail. Rememer snail mail? Kids, go ask your parents. The plot of each story in the episode hinges on at least one letter sent through regular ol' US Mail. Coincidence? Yeah, probably. Or maybe not...hmmm. When you think of Peanuts, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Wrong! Obviously, the answer is Shermy! The OG Peanuts superstar! Peanuts wouldn't exist without him. If that October 2, 1950 strip was just a boy and girl silently watch a round-headed kid walk by, also silently, it's unlikely Peanuts would have become the cultural icon it is today. I mean, at least Shermy thinks so probably. In this episode, we take a few minutes to break down who Shermy Plepler was and his impact (Or lack thereof. Let's be honest.) on the strip. We also look at This Month in Peanuts History for June and watch another "Peanuts by Schulz" titled "The Mysteries of Love". Good grief! That's a lot of show! Join us, won't you?
