A seasonal podcast that goes live every 11th of the month - with three months off. learn what it is to be "Live With Greg"... or "Live With Greg", depending on how you pronounce it.
This episode is with a dear friend, brother, mentor, cool jazz player... Leonard Nelson. Reach out to Leonard via https://www.linkedin.com/in/leonardn/. #enjoy #livewithgreg
Due to my negligence, irresponsibility, and lazy tendencies—I am introducing you to another podcast I co-host; Moped Outlaws. #enjoy #livewithgreg #mopedoutlaws
Two of the three spend an hour with me. #enjoy #livewithgreg
It is a personal honor for Esther Rose to be a guest on LWG. Her light shines bright... and she shares a lot of very personal aspects of her life. All done with a lot of love. You can catch her vibe at: https://www.instagram.com/bent_fingerz/ #enjoy #livewithgreg
Season 11 continues with the highly intelligent and motivated (also, highly), co-producer of 2B, Sarah (from Germany. And this episode, dripping wet moments from live deadline, speaks for itself. It won't surprise me at all if we see Sarah on an international platform - changing lives and situations on a global scale for the better. #enjoy #livewithgreg
Season 11 opens with a repeat visit with Julie Greene. I met with Julie about a year ago… and she was immersed in a new, seemly fortuitous venture. Since that episode (#86 "Visions, Downloads, Processing the Light"), I have been watching the events of the gallery she was at unfold. I became curious about the process of new chapters; what is it one goes through and does in the process of moving on from something that seemed so positive and certain in the recent past. I am very grateful for Julie's presence and openness. I can't think of a better way to open season eleven of Live With Greg. Again; you may find and connect with Julie via these links: https://frontiertarot.com https://juliegreeneinc.com
This is my third episode with another brother from another mother I welcome to LWG, Marc Wendt. Since our last episode, Marc and I have launched a podcast together: Moped Outlaws. It was wonderful to spend this intimate hour plus with Marc. He is very well read, comes with a lot of personal experience with his work of self-discovery and consciousness. I hope that this is yet another intimate share amongst many more to come... We go deep — get ready. You can work with Marc yourself; he offers a free 60 minute connection call at https://marcwendtcoaching.com/ #enjoy #livewithgreg
I met AnnaLysa Litton a few years ago when she joined a mastermind group I was in. As we mention, we were both pretty broken from relationships that had ended. So we dive in pretty quickly into what that was for her, and her healing. This is a powerful episode that promotes the value of focusing on love through all our timelines and choices. I really enjoy this energetic powerhouse of love embodied in the being, AnnaLysa.
This is a solid episode; a second one with my nephew, Liam Mills. His Mom passed away about a month ago. Mine passed away about a year ago. We learn a little about his Mom's, Mary, passing - and a bit about her. And we discuss a bit about the people we want to interact with regularly... I have an image of Mary smiling, outdoors - camping, a marshmallow stick in hand and a cup of coffee. Here's a "cup a" for our Moms. #enjoy #livewithgreg
Well, I did my best to book a guest and have this recorded in time… my I present, my second LWG with just me, myself, and i.
Liam is family. Liam is a single father. Liam's personal discipline is off the hook. His son has ADHD and is spectrum autistic. And his son is loved beyond measure by his father. This is time spent with a gentleman who is inspiration for me to be a better person.
It is a great honor for me to share this with you... joined by Liam, Charity, and Jonah, I was graced with some insight into their lives. Sometimes Life delivers a wonderful surprise. This is one of those... (Que Bowie) #enjoy #livewithgreg
Another neighbor shares a bit of her life... Julie Greene of Frontier Tarot opened up about her amazing Christmas, the opening of her kundalini energy, being a mom, being a daughter - and remaining active and inspired in daily life. It was a wonderful visit; and I hope one might take away from this some support in being with what one might be experiencing... you'll make it. You can get in touch with Julie via her websites: https://frontiertarot.com and https://juliegreeneinc.com #enjoy #livewithgreg
I entered this episode with a biased belief that ADHD is not really a disorder - and is more likely to be an excuse for parents to disengage from their children. With great patience, knowledge, and experience, my guest for episode 85 — Holly Seerley, MFT — educated me on the realities and challenges of this neurological disorder, ADHD. We also touched a bit upon personal relationships; romantic and family relationships. And at the core of our conversation was healing, acceptance, and love. I am very grateful for Holly's time and energy she gave for this episode of LWG. if you are interested in working with Holly, she can be reached at: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/holly-seerley-mill-valley-ca/57647 #enjoy #livewithgreg
Season 10 opens with a second guesting with Jacob Ben-Shmuel. Maybe this should really be referred to as 1 and a half episodes? Our initial recording lost the first 20 minutes. We both believed the content was good enough to go with, so we tagged it on the end of this complete episode… complete episode? I don't know what I am saying anymore. And I was definitely out of my comfort areas with this conversation with Jacob. We got into sexuality; and the fluid elements of sex. I remain deeply grateful for Jacob's willingness to delve deeply and openly into this realm, that can be quite touchy. And that's my last innuendo. I believe this is a very strong start for season ten. For more information about Jacob Ben-Shmuel: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/jacobbenshmuel/burn #enjoy #livewithgreg #enjoy #livewithgreg
Season 9 ends with a wonderful episode. My guest is Reverend Connie Habash, author of the book, Awakening From Anxiety: A Spiritual Guide to Anxiety Relief. We have been attempting to meet for an episode for quite a while. I was originally drawn to meet her due to her connection with nature. However, this episode opened me to the wealth of energy and knowledge that is Connie. Being in her presence was amazing - I am really glad "the stars aligned". In her words: "My life is a committed journey to spiritual growth, authenticity, and learning to live the qualities of love, truth, service, and peace. It is my mission to serve by supporting others in their personal and spiritual transformation." This is a strong ending episode for my season nine… I think you'll like it. Bodhi joins me for episode #82... and we explore relationships, the fluidity of gender, pronouns, sexuality, and... squirrel! #enjoy #livewithgreg
Robyn Bri steps in again to bring her thoughts about children and choice. #enjoy #livewithgreg
I catch up with a close friend, Craig Ellick. It's been a few decades since we last saw each other... and, he is a big part of my healing journey. We reminisce a bit - and then we get into his passions... which I think I can safely say is: family, wine, and model trains. Don't ask me to rank the order of those... #enjoy #livewithgreg
I very much appreciate Jacob spending some time with me. This episode was quicker then I am used, meaning, we cover a lot of ground very quickly. Jacob is a creative, living in LA right now, close friend of Jonah... and well worth a listen. I think you'll appreciate this episode. You can listen to Jacob's song, BURN, on various platforms... just follow this link: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/jacobbenshmuel/burn #enjoy #livewithgreg
Ms. Topaz Wells! What a force - a fierce force of positive vibrations. I met Topaz when we both were working the radio stations... well, really - she WORKED the radio stations! She was the vibe that greeted one and all that passed through the doors. Janitors, executives, media stars - all treated and greeted with equal passion... I think a large part of her vibe is she is so glad each and every one of us is alive. I very fondly remember how she enveloped my family in love when they'd come to visit me at work. And I had the honor to sit with her recently and get a little piece of her story. I think there are a lot more stories to be told. This might be a Part 1 - okay?!! :-) If you want to work with an ever-ready-battery of SOUL, and a being passionate for the entertainment industry - get a hold of her... before someone else does! https://www.linkedin.com/in/karen-topaz-wells-1a151a167/ Music/ Podcast/ Research/ PR Internship with Breaker Nation* Digital Marketing/Podcast/PR Internship with Common Leaders* Student with NYU Yellowbrick Music Industry Essentials * Voice Over #enjoy #livewithgreg
Robert Monegan is truly a gentleman's gentleman. He has lived his life defiantly fabulous from day one. From everything I have heard about the man, and from my own experience, this is true. He has been in my corner, supporting my creative path, like no-one else. And more importantly, he has persevered with his own artistic vision through all the challenges. I believe we both would admit the biggest challenge is ourselves. If we could just get out of our own damn way... But I digress. I am deeply honored that he shared himself so openly. More important; I am deeply honored to consider this man family. Now, with a toss of our hair, let's get to it. Filmmaker, Writer, Director, Artist. Robert Monegan has three films, THE EYES OF THE WORLD, DRIVE, and DOUBLE A, he wrote, directed, and currently screening in various film festivals. Future projects include a live action film based on his Glam Divas characters, and producing his play, DEFIANTLY FABULOUS - a gay/comedic twist on the classic 1958 Tony Curtis/Sidney Poitier film, The Defiant Ones. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm13671392/ http://glamdivas.net/home.html #D11 #livewithgreg
Andre Jackson is one of the most content, easy going people I know… like a Sunday morning. This man, along with my brother, Aaron, enlightened me to the artist Prince. And 'Dre turned me on to dance music, hip-hop, soul, funk... I used to be a "disco sucks" eunuch; 'Dre is a major part of the cure. We touched on some of the stories he has of the mountain tops he's summited. What is most important to me is his gratitude for life as it is. There is a lot to be learned from the Grace in which he lives - a man who celebrates the mere fact he woke up to another day. #D11 #livewithgreg
My second episode of S9 was pure delight. Tony Vidal, founder/creator of Prankster Entertainment, invited me to be an intimate part of his journey in feature films. It is a gift in my life I am deeply grateful for. And as many know, a lot of the stories of storytelling are behind the scenes of the story being told. I think this is a great insight into a person's creative journey, the choices made - and what has remained important through it all. AND - I highly recommend checking out the current features produced by Prankster Entertainment: The Prankster, Baja, and Free Byrd. The uphold Prankster Entertainment's mission: We live in a fascinating and crucial time. Now more than ever there is a need for uplifting movies that lighten the heart and expand awareness. To put people in touch with the sacred has always been the ultimate purpose of storytelling. Prankster Entertainment's goal is to inspire and awaken, through entertaining human stories geared for a mass audience. We invite you to journey with us into this realm of hope and joy. #D11 #livewithgreg
Season 9 begins with a good friend: Paula Mierzejewski! I have enjoyed meeting up with her for a great cup of coffee (thank you Red Whale) and an even greater conversation. We're both interested in exploring "what is life?", "how can I improve?", and generally sharing our experiences of being alive. Some of it uplifting, some of it challenging, all enlightening. I think we both share that general approach to life. As a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I believe Paula has expressed to me her more inclined to work with children and elders. (I think I qualify for both — which isn't necessarily a compliment.) This is taken from her website, https://paulamierzejewski.com: I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who provides therapy for children, teens and adults. I received my Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University in San Rafael, CA in 2014, and have a B.A. degree in English from the University of New Haven in West Haven, CT. This is my second career after having worked 25 years in the legal field. My life's experience enables me to be a better therapist for my clients. After working several years as an elementary school counselor for the Waugh School District in Petaluma I moved into private practice. My primary goal is to help others find happiness and success within themselves, within their family and within their peer relationships. I think this is a wonderful start to a new season; and I am looking forward to our next cup o' joe! #D11 #livewithgreg
Season 8 has a bonus episode — this one. I met Mirtha over a year ago. Online. Over our mutual endeavor of making movies. Mirtha's second film is based on documented facts; a fictional story based in Sweden about the government supported practice of eugenics. Eugenics literally means “well-born,” and it is the belief system that has fostered the nazi holocaust, and apparently is still in practice here in the united states — and throughout other parts of the world. Mirtha's information is important to me. Due to her schedule next year, as she is off to produce her third film, our only opportunity to record an episode came at the end of this year… and thus, you have a bonus episode of Live With Greg. Mirtha can be contacted via her linked in account: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mirtha-vega-9b5608200/ And her film, The Human Condition, is available on Amazon Prime: https://bit.ly/human-solution I hope you appreciate this episode as much as I do... #D11 #livewithgreg
Season eight officially ends with the thoughtful, Jonah Dunkel Wilker. #D11 #livewithgreg
Episode Seventy-One brings me back to the beginning: Chris Furbee is why I have a podcast. He was my first guest... we recorded the episode with an idea for a joke. To ask a question and then be silent for as long as we could possibly go. And here we are almost nine years later. Chris has Huntington's Disease - and capitalizing that disease seems a mistake to me. I've always pictured it as a fuse that is lit in one's body and there is no way to put it out... and it keeps burning down to an explosion. Chris created a documentary about his Mom passing from the disease and him finding out he also had it. It is quite powerful to watch. It is free for the public on YouTube: Huntington's Dance. He is quite open in this interview. I am grateful he is my friend; and I'm grateful for the time he gave me for this episode of LWG.
September 2021, episode 70, is with a good friend; Brook. Though our paths don't often meet up, she is someone I've known for many years - and feel close to regardless of time between visits. I've always admired her strength, and this episode I got a little glimpse into the depth from which such strength is forged from... this one's an honor, people. #enjoy
August 2021, episode 69, is an encore visit with Molly de Vries. She has truly been a dear friend, someone I've grown close to. AND!... more importantly, she is a Zero Waste warrior! An Earth liaison for community - us lay people & governing bodies - and the entities dealing with waste management. Molly is spear-heading the work to remove single-serve cups from Mill Valley: "Help Mill Valley launch a first-of-its-kind reusable lending-cup program to end single-use waste." So - let's get a link on here for her fund-raiser: Her knowledge and experience with zero waste and the business of waste management is far deeper then we were able to get to; we just are scratching the surface with this episode. Here are some reference links she passed my way: Redwood Landfill Composting Marin Sanitary Service Curbside Composting OMRI 501(c)(3) - OMRI verifies the substances used in organic production
July's episode is with a very special guest; Ashlyn Thomas. Ashlyn was born with spina bifida "— a term that means “split spine” — is a condition that occurs when the brain, spinal cord, or the membranes that cover them (meninges) do not completely develop." However, what is most important about Ashlyn is her outlook on life and her gratitude for being alive. In her presence, I feel a joyful abundance - a light that shines beyond the finite duality of this world. I think... it is Grace. Something Ashly has in abundance. I am very grateful for the opportunity she gave me for this episode. Enjoy!
In his own words, my dear friend Peter Nevins is an "Artist | Printmaker | Troubadour". There are two people I am aware of, whom I consider friends, that are living a truly creative life. Peter is one of them. His work is amazing, in all it's forms. He is a creative being to hang with... You can see his work and learn more about him at: https://www.peternevins.com And I hope you enjoy this episode... I highly recommend checking out his work; music, prints, lighting... and on and on.
This episode was amazing. First off, Michelle is an amazing woman; and I am honored to be friends with her. The lady is fire!! AND, i am grateful for her giving her time for this episode... truth be told; it isn't her favorite - and she still greenlit it to go live. That's the kind of champion she is. So, I am going to follow-up with her link to her site: https://www.michellevenezianodo.net And here bio, and I hope her knowledge helps you get your juices flowing! Michelle Veneziano, DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine), is a family physician, intuitive, and an adjunct clinical professor at Touro University in Northern California. Her approach to osteopathic medicine is rooted in Cranial Osteopathy, a hands-on, evidence-based therapeutic practice that sources both western & eastern philosophies to support the body’s ability to heal itself. She shares practices and insights for awakening the doctor that resides within each of us, for connecting with who we really are and for living in alignment with nature.
This episode is a wonderful follow-up to last month's episode. Below is from Deborah's bio... and her sharing her time for this episode is a great gift. I hope you accept this gift with the grace with which it was given. If you're interested in contacting her, she may be reached at deborshsmcknight@gmail.com. Deborah McKnight has been centering race and racial equity for over 30 years. She believes in the power of strong and equitable instructional environments to change lives. Upon moving to the US Virgin Islands from her native New York and implementing the first special education model of its kind on the island of St. John she witnessed this firsthand. There she was voted “Best Teacher” by the community and the Virgin Islands Daily News because of her ability to positively impact the lives of her students. Not everything that is faced can be changed but nothing can be changed until it is faced. — James Baldwin This work is both personal and professional for me. Race has been used to sort and classify students since Brown vs. Board of Education and when I was growing up in New York it was either college track or vocational track in high school. I often think back to my oldest brother, when the White guidance counselor insisted he be placed in the vocation track. He wouldn’t be the doctor he is today if my White mother allowed this for her brilliant Black son and insisted he be placed in the college readiness courses. Tracking has since given way to Gifted Education, AP Honors, and our current special education system which has resulted in racial segregation under the guise of ability and “disability.”
It is good medicine; this season eight opener. Toast is one of my brothers; blood in - blood out. And I learned from this meeting with him... so I am grateful for this going live. Perhaps, you, too, will learn from our conversation... If nothing else, as Toast says in his out-going message: ...be good to yourself. What better wish is there for somebody? (And if you want his excellent services in your world, he can be reached via this business: Tim Wright Building and Electrical Services.)
Bob Wertzberger - daaaammmnnnnn! There is nothing but a good vibe in my life from this gentleman! Wertz introduced me to a lot of the music that first formed my appreciation for... Rock n Roll! Van Halen, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, U.F.O.… all first heard with, and because of, Wertzberger! We liked it loud. We even had a lunch hour radio show that we pre-recorded and broadcast in the HHS cafeteria. Not yet open to the nuance of genre — and plethora of possibility — it was a very one-sided presentation of the music listened to by the student body. Wertz was one of my solid hang-outs, adventurers, buddies… and it was great to hang with him again, in the autumn of our years… and find that brotherhood is as solid today as it ever was. I recommend listening to more of his music, under the names: Bobnoxious: Soundcloud | Pandora Chickeebob: BA Punk | Facebook | Hear Now
I appreciate this episode very much - with a close friend and guide; Marc Wendt. I trust him absolutely with the potentially volatile topic we broached this episode - and I know he has a solid experience in dissecting and learning about his own place in a racist system. And he is devoted to being part of the healing and eradication of racism. So... we ventured forth. Part of my trust stems from the knowledge from experience that our faux pas aren't game-stoppers; they're to be learned from - part of the process of healing. Thus, I don't need to avoid areas of challenge. I hope you, also, appreciate this timely episode. If interested, the course Marc refers to is, “heal thyself diversity intensive for people racialized as white”. More about it - and signing up can be found here: https://www.intersectionformankind.com/remember-institute-courses/healthyself And if you are interested in hiring an amazing, and very dedicated life coach in your life - I highly recommend working with Marc. His site is at https://www.marcwendtcoaching.com/.
One of my favorite songs is by Joni Mitchell: Shadows and Light. I have the pleasure of presenting another great artist, Nora Bruhn. I came across her work via the Paint The Void Project in San Francisco. This great, big, gorgeous flower erupted on my screen - full bloom. I chatted with Nora and found her to be very open... and luckily, she's green lit this episode of LWG. She's a neighbor, an artist, and a brave creative explorer of this physical realm - we definitely got into a discussion about shadows and light. You can explore more about her here: https://www.konorebi.com And I think I'd be remiss to not have link to Paint the Void: "Giving grants to artists for safeguarding hope and beauty in the wake of COVID-19" https://paintthevoid.org/ ...you'll learn a lot about Nora in this episode. Again, her openness I found very refreshing - and damn; she's talented! Enjoy #D11 #LWG
Episode Sixty… is an episode that should have happened a long time ago. Christopher is a brother—heart to heart. Like a true brother, He's pissed at me sometimes. And he pisses me off sometimes. We went through a pretty heavy bout about a year ago... half a year ago... ?? I'm not sure. But we were talking with each other within a week's time; when he gave me a raving testimonial for my skills as a producer. He took me off the streets, and has shared his intimate life with me from day one of us knowing each other. AND... if you want someone who can help you kick what ever addiction is driving you nuts; he's a number one coach/sponsor. Here's his Clean & Sober site: https://www.cleanandsobercoach.com He's got a work in progress, interviews and exploration about Love, Sex, and Relationships: https://ahumanaffair.com/ He's the most honest person I know, struggling in the mire of "who am i?" like the rest of us. It's an honor to present, my Broham… Christopher Dienstag.
Episode 59 is with special guest; Mo Black! I met Mo many years ago, and was struck. She's a bright light. I came to meet her family a bit over the years - and they all shine brightly. One thing I have always counted on when hanging with Mo, we're going to be engaged in some real talk. This episode is rich in content and thought...
Episode 58 is with special guest; Jonah Dunkel Wilker! I want to thank my son for stepping in at the last second... And that's who Jonah is. Besides being a brilliant musician/producer, having a great sense of humor… he also is a deeply resonant thinker empathetic to people in his life. To me, he is "B". I think this episode sheds a little glimmer of light into who he is... a little...
Season 7 continues, still, in quarantine. 2020 is historically, on a global level, one of the strangest recorded times in human history. And Habibi remains, for me, on a global scale, one of the most beloved and amazing human beings I know. She's honored me with a third guest spot, for the third episode of Live With Greg.
Season 7 continues in quarantine. It is the year of COVID-19 - and I am with Kayla Thomas; roommate and second guest of season seven.
Season 7 starts off well, with special guest Dr. Leslie Purchase. I met Leslie when she reached out to her community, wanting to communicate with diverse perspectives from her own. As she put it, "Recently, I have been doing some reading that has challenged me to recognize the cognitive biases and faulty thinking that probably has led me to some incorrect conclusions in life." I met with her and appreciated the dialogue and open communication. More and more I experience the healing balm communication is. It brings us together. I hope you enjoy this new episode of LIVE WITH GREG... or LIVE WITH GREG, depending on your pronunciation.
I am extremely grateful for this episode; it is a Divine Gift to finish strong. Season Six I don't think could finish any stronger. I have three living mothers in my life right now; my blood mom and two others who love me deeply and are Spiritual guides. This is one of them; Momz (Addie). I know Momz to be a deeply loving, strong human being… and have come to know her even more deeply in recent years. (She helped raise me since high school) I was not expecting to learn such a moving story of challenges overcome. And what is most important to me; overcome with nothing but Love for all involved. That's real strength/Real Love… and, here's the photo of her with her horse post storm in Nicaragua. Enjoy!
This month's podcast guest is a real treat. We rarely see each other; and Miriam is definitely a friend. She's also "a coach, mediator, lawyer, negotiator and linguist—a master communicator&hellp; Mom, wife, (mentioned) friend… And as her current career path is concentrating on communication, well, I am excited about this one. I know of no other healing balm more powerful then communication. To quote one of my favorite books, “Communication ends separation.” So, let's join together… and travel into this realm of exploring effective communication, community and the ending of separation. Oh, ye—if you'd like to know more about Miriam, perhaps ask her for aid in your life, she can be found at https://moderatr.com. ENJOY
I met Travis Summer Deuel at the West Point Inn Father's Day Pancake Breakfast... and we started talking about comedy and stand-up. So - we met up and hung out to continue celebrating a mutual fascination... and we rambled quite a bit. Seemed like moments to me... except that I was going on about partnership. You can check out his photography here: https://travisdeuel.com Enjoy, Partner...
I was going to use apocalypse in the name of this episode… it seems more fitting to use something upbeat; supportive. And I don't really think it's the new Mother Nature taking over — I think she's just speaking with more strength so we'll listen. This is a very exciting episode for me, with special guest, Mark Northcross. His experience and first-hand accounting of what is happening is, well, a solid wake-up call. This is from Mark's LinkedIn bio: I have worked as a public finance professional since 1981. I started at John Nuveen & Company, became of founding partner of Kelling Northcross & Nobriga, and then started my own firm with Craig Hill in 1996, where I have been since. Prior to 1981 I was an environmental consultant, preparing and presenting EIR's for California cities and counties. And this? …is lyrics from The Guess Who's song… 'Cause it's the new mother nature taking over It's the new splendid lady come to call It's the new mother nature taking over She's gettin' us all She's gettin' us all
It is truly an honor to have as my guest for episode 50, historian and Odd Fellow, Peter Sellars. Peter and I were in the same class at Hayward High School. I knew he joined the Marines right out of high school - and we pretty much lost track of each other until a high school reunion a few years back. I recently heard him on a different podcast talk about the conspiracy against the leaders of the United States of which Lincoln's assassination was a part of. I was also very interested in his quest to find out how the moral code of the Odd Fellows, "Friendship, Love and Truth", was upheld during the United States Civil War. I, too, find it of upmost interest and a personal goal - to uphold the practice and valor of Love at the times when it is most challenging to myself. The following is from his current book, How Friendship, Love, and Truth, Survived the American Civil War... and I hope you appreciate episode 50 as much as I do. (you can purchase the book with this link): Peter V. Sellars is a recognized historian in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. His first two history books, The Independent Order of Odd Fellows in the City of San Francisco and Calling Out From The Past: The First Odd Fellows Home in California, were well received. In 2005, he established a fraternal museum in San Francisco to maintain books and other items unique to the Odd Fellows. The offices that he has held in the Order have given him greater access to sources, materials, and contacts throughout the United States, which led to the creation of this most recent book relating the Odd Fellows to the Civil War. Sellars holds a BS degree from California State University, Hayward (East Bay), and is retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. He and his wife live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Part of why I continue to do my podcast is a practice in discipline. And adapting to get an episode out is part of the process… so this episode is live - audio only. And it's late. …and my special guest is Justin Nesbitt. I met Justin one the production of BAJA—he's one of the producers. He's also an actor, musician/rapper, stand-up comedy… is there anything this guy doesn't do? What I've observed and come to admire, is he is always himself. And he brings and gives kindness equally to everyone in every situation. You can check out his IMDb—and I hope you enjoy listening to episode forty-nine with my special guest, Justin Nesbitt.
This is a tribute interview - a tribute to those who travel this life with Huntington's Disease. A tribute to Rolando, my guest Barbara Leistico's husband. A tribute to those suffering from any disease. It is a tribute to those who survive to see the light on the other end of their long day's journey into night — and a prayer for this who won't this time 'round. I'm deeply grateful to Barbara's sharing her intimate journey with me… and for her giving the green light — even with Daisy, who is not a poltergeist, digging her way through the living-room carpet… don't worry — she stops after a bit. (then she starts up again / ha ha ha)
