Before joining the cannabis sector in 2015, Cyo worked in tech sales and decided to bring her knowledge and expertise into the cannabis industry after California Governor, Jerry Brown, changed the cannabis legislation. When she started, she worked as the Head of Sales for Meadow Care and eventually founded Quim Rock with Rachel Washtien. The idea behind the business emerged when Cyo realized the need for a proactive vaginal health supplement. She then began to do further research into personal health and the benefits that cannabis can have on the human body. This led to Quim Rock which provides personal care products for vaginas that uses the natural elements of cannabis.

During his tenure as a member of the British Columbia legislature (2009-2017), Terry served as Minister of the Environment and Minister of Health, where he was responsible for a $18 billion health budget. He also managed the implementation of the province’s public health response to the fentanyl opioid crisis, earning him the Canadian Public Health Association’s National Public Health Hero Award in May 2017, and the Provincial Public Health Officers’ Award of Excellence in Public Health. He is a past mayor of Kamloops, BC, a veterinarian and former animal health instructor at Thompson Rivers University.     Kyla Lee is a criminal defence lawyer specializing in impaired-driving cases and is based in Vancouver, BC. She is a passionate advocate of cannabis smokers’ rights and an expert on changes to impaired driving legislation once marijuana is legalized in Canada. She was invited to testify before both the Parliament’s Justice Committee and the Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs against Bill C-46 which contains controversial marijuana-impaired driving provisions and will come into effect post-October 17. Kyla is also the founder of the Canadian Impaired Driving Lawyers Association. Her main concerns with Bill C-46 centred around the proposed testing methods for drug-impaired driving that would require drivers to submit a blood sample, the setting of per se limits on THC in the blood and random traffic stops for drivers. Kyla has studied the science behind blood testing and believes the inherently flawed system will lead to miscarriages of justice.

    Alexzander SamuelssonIn early November 2014, Alexzander Samuelsson (Alex the Chemist) was an unemployed chemist, bored, and suffering from anxiety and depression. He had graduated from Ryerson University and in his thesis he was synthetically exploring thionylphosphazene polymerization behavior. He thought he had done everything right, yet, he was still unemployed. On his dad’s 50th birthday he decided to share a joint with him. Little did he know the path he was about to take.
