Photos emerged over the weekend showing visibly bruising and bandages on BOTH of Donald Trump's hands, with one photo showing a puncture mark, likely from a needle, in the center of one of the bruises. This has completely destroyed the administration's talking point that these injuries are from shaking hands, and MAGA is losing their minds trying to defend Trump's visible decay. MAGA lunatics took to social media to downplay the new evidence, but no one was buying their garbage. Harmeet Dhillon, Donald Trump's assistant Attorney General for the DOJ's civil rights division, went on an unhinged and profane tirade against MAGA influencers for criticizing the Trump administration. Dhillon seems to have completely lost her mind over the fact that the people who blindly supported Trump for years are not as willing to do so now, so she used a derogatory slur to attack all of them. This didn't sit well with the people she insulted, and is probably going to have the opposite effect of what she intended. A proposed piece of legislation in California would impose a moderate wealth tax on billionaires in the state, forcing them to pay 5% on their net worth over $1 billion. In other words, this is a tax on excessive wealth that billionaires can easily afford. But the tech executives in California are freaking out over it, and they've banded together and are openly plotting ways to remove powerful California Democrats like Ro Khanna. They are going to spend more money trying to buy elections than they would in taxes.Overseeing record numbers of job losses is never something that a President wants to do, but Donald Trump actually seems to be enjoying it. He got on social media recently to BRAG about the record number of government jobs that he has cut since taking office, even though those job losses have helped exacerbate a growing problem of rising unemployment across the country. Republicans have zero empathy for the people whose lives are being ruined by these cuts, and that only makes the problem worse. According to multiple new polls, both domestic and international, Donald Trump is viewed by a majority of Americans and our closest allies as being weak, crazy, and a destabilizing force around the globe. These are not exactly the qualities that anyone - here or abroad - wants to see in the President of the United States, but that's where we are after nearly a year of having Trump back in office. The chances of things getting better are slim to none, so we can expect these already horrific numbers to fall even lower in the future. Donald Trump claims that filing for bankruptcy for his own personal businesses was a smart move (just like when he admitted not paying taxes,) but his penchant for causing bankruptcies is no longer limited to his own companies. Thanks to his trade war, bankruptcies for American businesses have now hit their highest levels in 15 years, putting us back at the levels we saw during the Great Recession. Businesses are closing their doors left and right, even as Republicans keep telling us that they care so deeply about small business owners. In Maine, for instance, year-over-year GDP growth is just 0.8% as of Q2 2025, compared to the U.S. average of 2.1%. Apparently, an email from January 2020 in which a federal prosecutor from New York – of course – to an “undisclosed person” claiming Trump had flown on Jeffrey Epstein’s private plan at least eight times during the 1990s, and one time there was a 20-year-old woman on the flight.  Here’s more: The email, which was sent in January 2020 from a federal prosecutor in New York to an undisclosed person, says, “For your situational awareness, wanted to let you know that the flight records we received yesterday reflect that Donald Trump traveled on Epstein's private jet many more times than previously has been reported (or that we were aware), including during the period we would expect to charge in a [Ghislaine] Maxwell case.”  This big revelation is that Trump traveled a few more times than we previously knew, although this was during a time period that the president has already acknowledged having had an association with Epstein. Note the timing of the email – January 2020 is when the presidential election would be kicking into full swing. This anonymous federal prosecutor clearly thought they had a gotcha moment, but there’s a pesky little detail that puts things in perspective: “[Trump] is listed as having traveled with, among others and at various times, Marla Maples, his daughter Tiffany, and his son Eric.”  Source: redstate.com The specific document you’re referring to appears to be the complaint filed in the 2020 civil lawsuit Doe v. President Unveils ‘Trump Class’ Of Warships, Huntington Ingalls Shares Jump    build two new “Trump-class” battleships, to acquire 20-25 of these ships in the coming years.   In his address, the President noted these 30,000-40,000 ton ships will carry a large quantity of missiles, including hypersonic missiles, and will also be outfitted with electromagnetic rail guns and directed energy lasers. Trump-class battleships will also carry nuclear-armed sea launched cruise missiles (currently under development) adding an additional element of nuclear deterrence to the Navy. According to the narrative the assembled group of EU leaders were discussing how the Trump administration was going to betray Ukraine in order to get a peace deal with Russia. The gist of the narrative sounds accurate, though some of the EU leaders are denying the specifics of the wording used. The EU is very worried President Trump may formulate a peace agreement then present the final terms to Ukraine without the EU being involved in the construct of the details. This week on the podcast we're diving into the trends uncovered in the July report authored by our own Alex Lockie documenting the rise of the so-called “non-domiciled CDL” in recent years in the U.S. It's a kind of license that many states can and do issue to those in the States from other countries and with temporary work authorization. If you haven't downloaded our report for yourself as of yet, it's available via this link: https://overdriveonline.com/15750917 Lockie painstakingly gathered non-domiciled CDL issuance data from most states in the nation, and put it all in a single, 20-plus-page report that's available now, even as federal officials work to begin and complete their own review of such CDL-issue practices. Context for it? As of but a year ago, very few around trucking had even heard the "non-domiciled CDL" term. That includes Raman Dhillon, head of the North American Punjabi Trucking Association, who tells his story in part in this episode. "I learned in the last seven, eight months or so" that such a license existed, he said. At once, as our own Alex Lockie reported in conversation with Dhillon in June, he could see the influx of people into trucking throughout the pandemic period, and continued issues on the CDL training front with fly-by-night schools rushing people into work behind the wheel: https://overdriveonline.com/15748790 The latter -- the inadequate CDL training issue -- is something he had personal experience with in years past, making it among principal issues for which he continues to advocates a fix. Personally, he's heartened to see the recent federal attention to CDL issuance practices broadly speaking, and non-domiciled CDL issuance in particular. "It's not only a trucking issue," as Dhillon has it. "It's a national security issue. A person crosses the border. Within a couple of months they get their work permit, and within the next month they get their [commercial] license." More time, more training, more vetting, he said, is certainly in order for all kinds of reasons. In the podcast, Dhillon walks back through his own experience immigrating to the U.S. in the early-1990s after his father drove truck in Indian military as he was growing up, through to establishing the Primelink Express trucking company with family and other close trucking associates, then the NAPTA association, in 2018, in the wake of advocacy ahead of the ELD mandate. NAPTA isn't just for Punjabi-Americans, though, as you'll hear.
