Wayne Simien is an NBA champion for the Miami Heat and two-time All-American and Big 12 Player of the Year for the Kansas Jayhawks. He currently serves as Associate Athletics Director of Strategic Engagement for KU. Wayne also works as a broadcaster for KU Men's and Women's basketball on ESPN+. Before joining Kansas athletics, Wayne spent 12 years in campus ministry. He and his wife Katie are the parents of five children. The power industry's workforce crisis is well documented — an aging labor force, too few new recruits, and a surge of infrastructure investment that's only widening the gap. Cultural Differences and Government with Maria Paula Correa Maria Paula Correa serves as Chief Relationship Officer at Libra Group, overseeing global partnerships with governments and key stakeholders. Based in Miami and Bogotá, she is part of the Group's Leadership Team. She plays a pivotal role in establishing connections that bridge cultural differences and align government priorities across international markets. Her focus is on creating trust-based relationships that drive cooperation and sustainable growth. Between 2018 and 2022, Maria was Chief of Cabinet to the President of Colombia, working under President Iván Duque Márquez. In this position, she directed interinstitutional coordination, international relations, and strategic communications for the national government. Maria holds an MPA from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and a B.A. in Law with a Political Science concentration from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia. Her background demonstrates a deep commitment to diplomacy, public service, and leadership.
