Whew! We are back after a taking a much needed month off. Even though we're back, we are leaving again. To dismantle where we've been and institutions, we have to first acknowledge we have colonized minds. We can not continue to help white supremacy and patriarchy do the erasing for us. As we discuss these topics of unpacking, we center faptphobia and racism impacting Lizzo in the industry as well as the remix of Essence by WizKid & Tems and what it means to gatekeep Black diasporic culture. We also honor and send thoughts and prayers to our Haitian siblings, brothers, and sisters as we share resources and unpack the history of this great Black country.
