For our fifth episode, I sat down with St. John's University Associate Head Coach, TJ Cleveland. We discussed his path from playing at Arkansas under the tutelage of Nolan Richardson to being an Associate Head Coach at the Big East level. It was interesting to hear how, years later, the defensive mindset learned as a player has translated to becoming a staple of his coaching philosophy. Coach Cleveland discussed how grateful he is to have worked under the leadership of Coach Mike Anderson, the importance of culture, finding positive in the midst of all of the negativity around. He touched on how his experience in door to door sales gives him perspective as a coach. This was an overall amazing conversation and with everything going on in the world today, Coach Cleveland's story and message are very much needed and I'm thankful to have the opportunity to share it. #FreeGame #GoFURTHER

No stranger to Elite Youth Basketball; People in the NIKE EYBL circuit, college basketball coaches, and NBA scouts have his number locked in their phones. But for me it is important to tell the story of how Terrance “Munch” Williams became a change agent and used basketball as a conduit to enhance and improve the lives of young men through the commonality of their love of basketball. In the last decade he's built a program that has developed All-Americans, Division 1 scholarship players and NBA Draft Picks but most importantly they've cultivated a program where education & emotional growth and development has become the underlying mission at hand. Munch and I sat down in the gym that was the birthplace of PSA Cardinals and discussed topics ranging from the growth and development of the program, the motivation that drives him to continuously think one step ahead, how he's utilized basketball as a conduit to provide amazing educational opportunities to minority youth from New York City, how PSA Cardinals has not only shown him growth in the Student Athletes he serves; but also growth within himself, how “Elite Youth” is about a whole lot more than basketball, an amazing young man that symbolizes a lot of the other stories of student athletes who have matriculated through the program by the name of Tony Boateng, and more... This was an amazing interview start to finish and I walked away with something that I didn't think was possible; even more respect for Terrance “Munch” Williams and all that him and his team has created in PSA Cardinals! I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did. #GoFURTHER
