Leroy continues to dissect and share his feelings as more news comes out about the situation with former head coach Sherrone Moore of the University of Michigan and his Alma Mater. Tobin reports that TJ Watt will more than likely not play on Monday Night Football against the Dolphins. We finish up the show with our favorite Friday Game "You're Dead to Me” big mouths, Michigan's coaching list, and the gang turns on each other.
We kicked off the show with some bad losses from last night, Tobin was defeated after the Avalanche beat down on the Cats and the Bucs went down after being up by 14. Leroy is somber after reports come out on who Michigan they are looking at to be their next head coach. We preview the Monday Night Football matchup between the Dolphins and Steelers. We start off the second hour with a bit of silly sauce as Tobin tries to convince Leroy and Brittney of his ridiculous time zones theories. We quickly pivot as Tua told the media that he was “happy” with the Dolphins despite him not throwing the ball much, and Tobin raises the question if Tua will even be here next season. We then try to Tickle Leroy's Fancy ahead of the NFL football weekend slate. Tobin is sick of people trying to bait him with the Giannis to the Heat rumors, he swears that he is a changed man and will not resort back to his old ways of getting excited about players coming to Miami… we all call bs. He then goes on to rant about the NBA begging them GIVE THE HEAT THEIR PICK! Leroy spends the segment fighting with technology and Tobin has enough! Next Steven and Stan talk about the Chiefs and where they sit after their loss to the Texans last Sunday and they preview this weekend's match up at Arrowhead against the Chargers. Then New Day gets the weekend weather forecast from KSHB 41's Jeff Penner.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Tobin is fired up about the Cats to start things off, we run through the Panthers win over the Utah Mammoth. Tobin tries to make a new saying stick but Brittney and Jfig won't let him have it. The Heat are going through a major lul as they are on a 4 game losing streak, can they figure it out soon? The Miami Dolphins are set to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football, if Achane is unable to play due to his injury do the Dolphins stand a chance? We are finally joined by Leroy, and it is time to unpack the major news coming out of his Alma Mater, as Michagian fired their Head Coach yesterday due to an alleged inappropriate relationship with a member of his staff. Reports come out that many conferences around College Football are saying that they will not schedule Notre Dame in the future. And we dip into our Mixed Bag! Tobin continues to be amped up about the play from the Panthers but more specifically Carter Verhaeghe. We continue to break down the Heat struggles and discuss whether or not we see a trade in the Heats future. Joe Burrow sounds defeated in a viral clip, Leroy breaks down how mentally and physically exhausting being a professional football player really is. We round out the hour with our favorite Thursday game; Goosies or No Goosies… Leroy's hatred for old people was in full effect. Devon Achane is having a non-contact practice and reports suggest that TJ Watt may be out for Monday's game versus the Dolphins due to a rib injury that has him hospitalized. Desmond Bane had words for Tyler Herro, the guys discuss if it is fair to place blame on Tyler for the Heat's struggles. We finish up the show by continuing to unpack the Sherrone Moore drama.

It's all here today as President Trump unloads a barrage of policy goals during an epic 60 Minutes interview right after the Chiefs/Bills game. This appearance was no accident and it's yet another sign the new ownership at CBS is going to play things fair. On the field, the Bills played what I believe is the best game they have played in the Josh Allen era. Ever. And still, somehow, the Chiefs had a chance to pull it out. Amazing. K-State gets worked over in a similar fashion against Tech and it sets up a big week for Patrick Mahomes at his Alma Mater. KU rolls OSU and Mizzou preps for A and M. The World Series was, perhaps, the greatest ever and it was definitely the best game 7 I've ever seen. And Stan Weber his here to talk about the Chiefs playoff chances (spoiler: he's not worried) and we ask if the Broncos are a dirty team. Our Final Final is a chance for you to score a little Christmas cash.

The new musical Tivoli Lovely is Eddie Perfect's return to the grand days of what was known across Australia as the Tivoli Theatre circuit. He's written it especially for second and third year music theatre students at WAAPA, his alma mater. Dance researcher Yvette Grant is an organiser and has delved into the largely forgotten story of the dancer and choreographer Valrene Tweedie, whose unconventional career saw her study with the greats of the USA and Cuba.Dylan Van Den Berg's acclaimed play Whitefella Yella Tree is a tender love story between two young men and set in the early days of an invasion that will transform their worlds forever. It's being re-mounted by Brisbane's La Boite and has elements of a theatre genre that Dylan is also writing a PhD on, Aboriginal gothic.

“I'm patient. I call it aggressively patient. I'm going hard for it all — but if it doesn't happen, there's still a process and I chip away for next time. That's how you become a champion. You don't just go out there and run and win. You have to have a journey and work hard. I'm always going hard.”Welcome back to Office Hours on the CITIUS MAG Podcast, where we explore the philosophy of the coaches who push the edges of human potential with some of the best athletes in track and field.Today's guest is someone who has climbed to some of the highest highs in the sport. Joanna Hayes is an Olympic gold medalist, a Hall of Famer, and currently the director of track and field and cross country at her alma mater UCLA. In 2024, she was named USATF's Coach of the Year — a recognition not just for her competitive pedigree, but her ability to cultivate greatness in others. She's coached legends like Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Rai Benjamin, ushered in record-breaking seasons at both USC and UCLA, and she's done it all while remaining grounded in values of respect, discipline, family, and joy. In this conversation, we explore what success does and doesn't change about how she leads, what it feels like to return to the place where it all started, the realities of coaching both elite professionals and college athletes and how the two are more connected than you think. We talk about legacy, resilience, motherhood, and what it means to show up not just as a coach, but as a human being who makes space for culture, connection, and yes, sometimes TikToks and fresh fits. Coach Hayes's story is one of full circle moments and forward motion. She's creating a new chapter at UCLA and you'll hear in this conversation why it's one worth watching and rooting for. Lewis has returned from some shows performed at his Alma Mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Is it part nostalgia trip, or perhaps more an acid flashback. But while Lewis had all the intentions about talking about performing at his college but he got distracted by the news of the week where people are going to have to tighten their belts as both dolls and pencils are going to become sparse as there's a chance AI is picking the new Pope? That doesn't seem odd, right? Oh and now there's news of an expensive military parade, which we hear is a cost-cutting measure. Alright, what's going on? Andrew and Mary host this week's episode in front of a live audience at Princeton University, starting with the latest in the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case where last Tuesday, Maryland district judge Paula Xinis ordered the Trump administration to provide among other things, “butts in seats” to explain their efforts to get him back. Then they describe what led up to the Supreme Court's early Saturday decision temporarily blocking the deportation of more Venezuelan migrants, after a flurry of back and forth between the Solicitor General and the ACLU. And being at Andrew's alma mater, he and Mary hold up the absolute necessity of academic freedom and independence in the wake of Trump's attempts to defund universities who do not comply with his demands. Last up, they touch on the Supreme Court granting argument in the birthright citizenship cases- not on the merits, but on whether a nationwide injunction is appropriate in this instance.Further reading: HERE is Judge Harvie Wilkinson's sharply worded opinion, writing for a 3-judge panel in the US Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, rejecting the Trump administrations effort to stop a lower court's order that the government facilitate Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return.Want to listen to this show without ads?
