As a former World Champion and veteran World Cup cross-country ski racer, Kershaw provides an unfiltered look at elite level cross-country ski racing. Tune in after every World Cup weekend.
The Devon Kershaw Show by FasterSkier podcast is an excellent resource for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. As a listener, I truly appreciate Devon's enthusiasm and his ability to make the commentary compelling. However, there is one issue that needs improvement - the internet connection during recording sometimes causes his voice to cut out, which can be frustrating.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the insightful commentary on tactics and technique. Devon and his guests provide great learning opportunities, especially for those involved in high-school racing like my son. Their analysis and discussions offer valuable insights into the sport, making it a fantastic resource for fans who want to understand the intricacies of cross-country skiing.
Moreover, what sets this podcast apart from others is its entertaining nature. Devon, with assistance from Jason, consistently brings humor and wit into their discussions. They manage to incorporate various subjects and topics seamlessly, making their conversations engaging and relevant. Additionally, Devon's excitement for the sport is infectious; rarely do I finish an episode without being in a great mood. The quality of content is so remarkable that my son and I have even listened to some episodes multiple times.
While this podcast offers incredible value overall, it does have one downside - the occasional internet connection issues. This detracts from an otherwise enjoyable listening experience as it causes Devon's voice to cut out at times. It would greatly enhance the show if they could find a way to maintain a clearer internet connection during recordings.
In conclusion, The Devon Kershaw Show by FasterSkier podcast is highly recommended for anyone interested in cross-country skiing or seeking behind-the-scenes insights into the World Cup circuit. Devon's 16 years of experience in WC racing and close connections with teams provide unique perspectives that add color and depth to race results coverage. Furthermore, his fearlessness in challenging conventional wisdom ensures that no sacred cows go ungored. All in all, this podcast offers an interesting, well-spoken, and informed commentary on the sport. Despite occasional internet connection issues, it remains an invaluable resource for enthusiasts.

Did Devon Kershaw once jump over a cattle guard, on rollerskis, at 40 miles an hour? Is a seven-and-a-half hour classic ski a wise choice in the middle of the racing season? The Iowa caucuses were this week, and on this episode of the hit New York Times podcast The Daily, we have a recap of the results with our distinguished political correspondent, Reid Epstein. Wait, sorry, we got confused. This is still a cross-country skiing podcast. But this is, in fact, the crossover skiing-politics content you've been waiting for. Epstein, a new friend of the pod who really is a political correspondent for the New York Times, interviewed Jessie Diggins a few days ago to get her perspective on finishing second place when it's really gosh darn cold — which, apparently, is an appropriate analogy for the big story from this year's Republican Iowa caucuses. So, since we couldn't get Diggins on the podcast this week, we thought it would be fun to hear from Epstein, instead. If you hate this, or hate us now, we're sorry, but we actually think this was pretty fun. We're posting a mailbag episode at the same time for those of you who want vanilla ski racing content. Send us your hate mail, race predictions (World Cup or GOP primary) and feedback at devon@fasterskier.com and nat@fasterskier.com.
