On the sixth episode of The Panzer Podcast, we are going to do something quite different-- and hopefully enjoyable-- a holiday episode! No, I won't be reading the "Night Before Panzermas", though I do have a short story I wish to share with you all. It is titled "What We Wanted to Do", by Ron Carlson. I also have some announcements at the end of episode today, and the episode is a short one-- I didn't want to get too long-winded this week. We'll be back in two weeks with the next episode in our Panther series, so please bear with me and we'll be back on track in no time! In the meantime, enjoy this short story! Happy Holidays, enjoy! -John Burgess ThePanzerPodcast@gmail.com Sources Include: "What We Wanted to Do", by Ron Carlson. That's it, no 2,000 word reading list today! Just the one source.

On the third episode of The Panzer Podcast we will discuss in detail the final preparations and modifications made just prior to sending the new Panzerkampfwagen V 'Panther' Ausf. D, Sd.Kfz. 171 to the Eastern Front. Once there, we will get into the details of Operation Citadel and just how well or, not so well, the new Panther tanks would do against a determined defense. We detail the actions of July 5 - July 20 1943 for Panzer-Regiment 39 "von Lauchert" and within, the two Panzer-Abteilungen 51 & 52 (Panther Abteilungen). Further details include the Kriegsstärtkenachweisung (K.St.N.
