On the first of two Clash of the Correspondents this week James is joined by Brighton fan Sam Murray and Manchester City fan Jonny Pringle to discuss the latest at their clubs and the FPL assets of interest ahead of Thursday's meeting between the two clubs. Have Brighton stalled this season? Can they trouble City with a 12 day period to prepare? And how strong is concern that Roberto De Zerbi may move on in the summer? Man City have it in their own hands to claim the title again, but are they as strong now as they have been during previous title run-ins? Plus all the key FPL assets discussed from City, featuring concerns over Erling Haaland's form, Foden v De Bruyne, if Ederson can be relied on and best defensive assets. And has everyone forgotten that Brighton have their own Double coming up in GW37? Will the likes of Pascal Gross be wrongly overlooked? Could Joao Pedro solve the solutions for those in need of an enabling forward and are there defensive assets that should be considered? For Episode 5, Dan sat down with ANDY CAIRNS, guitarist, composer, the founding member of Therapy? and JAAW. Coming from the underground scene of Northern Ireland, Andy became of the most prolific songwriters and lyricists of the 90's, organically uniting pessimism with post-modernistic worldview. In 2023, Cairns, a prolific songwriter released two new albums. First of all, ‘Hard Cold Fire', the newest LP of Therapy? (available now via Marshall Records). Secondly, ‘Superclaster', the debut release of JAAW – Andy's project founded with Adam Betts, Jason Stoll and Wayne Adams. In this episode of Beyond Recognition Andy Cairns discusses the roots of pessimism in lyrics and the popularity of 'Troublegum', the chemistry in Therapy? and Andy's ‘tabula rasa' with JAAW; touring and life-learning experiences, the dramatism of 'Infernal Love', love of post-punk and a lot more.Beyond Recognition is an all-about-creativity-podcast hosted by Dan Volohov - a former music journalist (MRR, Louder Than War, Punk Globe, Boston Hassle...) and the CEO of Discipline PR. Hello People! Welcome to episode 51 of the When In Yorkshire Podcast, how are you? I hope you are all getting by as well as can be. I am back with another episode recorded at Slamdunk festival in Leeds - it was a busy day! If you've seen who my guest is this week, have a general Interest in punk rock and or podcasts, then this man needs not introduction. For the sake of everyone else, I will still do my best to summarise Mr Matt Stocks.  I first remember seeing Matt conducting interviews on Skuzz TV and then he was one of the voices behind Kerrang Radio both of which were done very well and were informative and entertaining however after not hearing anything of him for a few years, I noticed his name crop up on a few festival posters where he was DJing and then it was his podcast Life in The Stocks which really captures my attention. I can't remember how I came across it but I remember listening to his episode with Frank Turner, then Tom Green, Jamie Lenman, Andy Cairns and Grant Nicholas all of which captivated me and I have been hooked on Life in the stocks since. It's not just the amazing guests he manages to get, although there are some huge names from the world of entertainment but it's the tone and candid nature of the conversations. Matt has a great ability to get his guests on a level where they seem to feel comfortable covering any topic and many divulge very intimate thoughts and feelings. As a listener, it feels like a blend of interview and then getting to hear a private conversation between friends which ticks all the boxes for me.  And then we move on to his latest podcast with Killswitch Engage vocalist Jessie Leech he which, if you haven't heard - I am jealous of the amount of amazing hours of conversation you have ahead of you. These episodes focus on the people anf their experiences only really touching on their work if it's relevant and really has created a community where listeners are guests on the show too.  Links for both of these podcasts are in the description for you to check out as well as links to Matt's first book - transcripts of sections from his life the stocks podcast covering various topics and it really is a great read covering conversations with the likes of Andrew wk l, Doug Stanhope,    Whilst Matt is known to be an open book and I was aware he would answer anything I asked if him, I inte ntionally kept this conversation light as it really felt like the day was a real milestone in the journey of his life in music and I wanted to get his take on this. There are many more questions I'd love to ask Matt and hopefully we'll get to do a follow up episode in the future. For now I'll let you listen to episode 51 from slam dunk festival with Matt Stocks.    https://open.spotify.com/show/3i5ON0eGOgaWgX58FG7rNk?si=K0FSW35zTMaHJ-wGpW2ywA   https://open.spotify.com/show/4l04uOo5aE4ueSfeBREpQY?si=qEj7C95qShyxROfuaohwZw   Life in the Stocks: Veracious Conversations with Musicians & Creatives (Volume One) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1644281872/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_SHM3MTH0PFZ8331DG4FG

Hello people welcome to the When In Yorkshire Podcast this is episode 32 I hope you are all well. Thanks very much for joining me. This episode features Andy Cairns of Northern Irish Punk rockers Therapy? For anyone unaware of their work, Therapy? Formed in the late 80’s and have been releasing records consistently for the past 30 years so if you haven’t heard of them or you lost touch at some point, there is plenty of music to catch up on. As we discuss, through various friends playing and covering their songs, I was aware of and knew many of their songs well before I actually knew who Therapy? Were and I think it’s fair to say, they have been an influence on my songwriting for as long as I’ve  been playing music. It was great to chat to Andy about his musical past and plans for the future as well getting an insight into how the band has managed to keep going through the many changes in the music industry over the last 30 years. We met at the Brudenell Social Club In Leeds ahead of their gig there. I have recorded a fair few episodes there it’s a great venue and well worth checking out, Nathan and his team do an amazing job and have loads of amazing bands passing through - do check it out. To celebrate the 30 year anniversary, Therapy? Will be taking the ‘So Much For The 30 Year Plan’ tour across Europe in March and April of 2020 starting in Hamburg on 19th March and ending in London on 4th April so do check out their website and social media for dates and tickets links to both are https://www.facebook.com/Therapyofficial/  https://www.therapyquestionmark.co.uk/ Also check out http://www.brudenellsocialclub.co.uk/
