Text us about this show.In just a short five year span, Michael Grabner has become one of Wisconsin's most prolific singer-songwriters. From his first album, Restart (2021), to his solo acoustic sophomore effort, A Story I Can't Tell (2023), through the nine singles he's dropped since, Michael's growth and maturity as a songwriter is all on display. Those nine singles are combined with three new tracks for a new album called The Rock Garden Recordings and it's Michael's best collection of songs to date. Every song is performed by the trio of Michael on vocals and acoustic guitar, drummer Ric "Spatula" Armstrong, and Rock Garden Studio producer Marc Golde on everything else. Now Michael has assembled The Ghosts of Electricity, his band that brings these gems to the stage and they more than do these songs justice. Enjoy this special interview that includes a segment recorded at the album release gig at Appleton's Gibson Community Music Hall. Both songs on this show were contributed by and used with the permission of Michael Grabner."Wherever You Are" and "Going Nowhere" written and performed by Michael Grabner℗ 2026 Michael Grabner.Melody Audiology LLCAudiology services for all. US shares largely trod water, with the S&P 500 not moving either way. Bond yields rose as the US labour market data came out stronger than expected. That might mean the Fed isn't as quick to cut rates to support jobs. Resources showed some spark, but it's more consolidating the recent rally than further price appreciation. Perhaps the exception is oil, with energy being the best performer in the S&P500. Oil also helped Euro stocks hit record highs. OPEC released its monthly report this week. The group paused production hikes in the first quarter of 2026 but meets on March 1 to decide whether they should resume in April. OPEC says travel and road transport are helping to drive demand. Expect volatility to stay, says Adam Coons. He makes the case that policy to come will continue to build on uncertainty and lead to a stock picker's market. One of Adam's stock picks: LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMHF), as the most wealthy consumers continue to spend on high-value items. He also points to Alphabet (GOOGL), Apple (AAPL), and CrowdStrike (CRWD) as three stocks to gain 20% or more as the "next AI winners."======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Options involve risks and are not suitable for all investors. Sign-up to our newsletter for a FREE budget calculator! - https://linktr.ee/lateinvoices?utm_source=linktree_profile_shareThis week we tackle a topic every creative struggles with at some point: being busy vs actually being effective. We discuss how creativity is vulnerable by nature. Making real work means risking judgement, which makes it tempting to hide behind “safe” tasks, emails, admin, tweaking, reorganising. Instead of producing the thing that actually matters. We also talk about the power of personal projects and why simply booking a shoot date in the calendar forces commitment and momentum.Another big theme is over-caring. After a certain point, obsessing over details, perfection, or what others think can actually slow you down and reduce the quality of your output. There's a tipping point where caring becomes diminishing returns. Finally, we dive into trusting your own creative taste. In a world full of opinions, metrics, and feedback, it's easy to lose touch with what you actually like. But your taste is your compass and learning to trust it is one of the most important skills a creative can develop.Cameron has started his 3D portfolio with the clear intention of attracting client work for 3D modelling, and using ChatGPT to identify work he likes and how he can push his portfolio in that direction.Matt shares a mystery Nike gift box ahead of an upcoming shoot in Milan and the Alps, but the heart of this episode quickly moves into something deeper: how easy it is to fill our days with movement that looks like progress, while avoiding the uncomfortable work that actually moves us forward. This episode is about focus, courage, momentum, and learning to create from your own internal standard instead of external noise.Cameron's socials:3D YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@UCzspZD6dpsO4RrZQ9GMI-dAGaming YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@camincontrolCameron's Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/cameron_hall96/Matt's Socials:Matt's YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@Matt.pearsonnMatt's Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/matt.pearsonn/CHAPTERS00:00 - Intro06:07 - Busy Work VS Effective Work17:45 - Fear of Creation18:55 - Value of Personal Work22:22 - Caring too much29:21 - Trusting Your TasteSTAY CONNECTED WITH US!Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lateinvoices/Newsletter: https://linktr.ee/lateinvoices?utm_source=linktree_profile_shareSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3LHl6iPM84u6L0oBsPWrYb?si=9TzClF-5RZm7GmodEFgElQ

You do solid work. People rely on you. And still, you're easier to overlook than you should be.This episode looks at how that happens. How perception forms at work. Why some people get read as “ready” early, while others keep delivering without being pulled forward. It's not a confidence issue. And it's not about motivation. It's a quieter mechanism most people never name. The quietest big dream behind this show is to change how quiet is read and understood at work. That only happens if this work reaches the people it's meant for.So if an episode ever resonates, follow the show and leave a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating. And if you comment or write a review, know that it genuinely makes my day

In this episode of the XS Noize Podcast, Mark Millar is joined by Charles Cave and Jack Lawrence-Brown from White Lies to discuss their electrifying seventh album "Night Light". This bold, live-driven reinvention captures the band at their most instinctive and free-flowing. Recorded live in the room for the first time, Night Light sees White Lies embracing spontaneity and creative risk — from the motorik rush of “Nothing On Me” and the 70s-inspired swagger of “Going Nowhere”, to the sweeping ambition of “All The Best” and the hypnotic finale “In The Middle.” Charles and Jack take us inside the fearless process behind the record — how rehearsing and performing songs before recording transformed the sound, how the influence of The Midnight Special inspired their approach, and how working with longtime collaborator Seth Evans unlocked a new sense of chemistry and space within the band. They also reflect on 16 years of White Lies — from their debut To Lose My Life… to the creative confidence of Night Light — exploring what keeps their partnership strong, how they've continued to evolve, and the joy of still finding new ground to explore together. “This record felt like freedom — the sound of a band who finally know exactly who they are.” — Charles Cave “It's amazing what happens when you stop chasing perfection and just play.” — Jack Lawrence-Brown White Lies' seventh album "Night Light" arrives November 7 via Play It Again Sam — a bold new chapter in the band's sixteen-year journey. Nicholas Triolo – What the Circuitous Path Reveals

Mountain & Prairie Podcast

Nicholas Triolo is a writer, endurance athlete, and educator whose life and work sit at the crossroads of ecology, activism, and storytelling. For years, he's been exploring what happens when we stop charging toward the summit and start paying attention to the circuitous paths that wind around it. His new book, "The Way Around: A Field Guide to Going Nowhere," is the culmination of that exploration — a lyrical, wide-ranging meditation on movement, place, and the art of staying present. In the book, Nick traces a series of pilgrimages: circling a sacred mountain in Tibet, exploring a culturally significant northern California hiking tradition, and walking the rim of one of Montana's most infamous superfund sites. Each journey reveals something deeper — about endurance and restraint, about intimacy with landscapes and with ourselves, and about the courage to face environmental and cultural shadows without turning away. The book weaves together memoir, travel writing, and ecological inquiry, and in doing so, it asks us to reconsider how we measure meaning: not by miles logged or summits bagged, but by the depth of our attention and the generosity of our presence. In this conversation, Nick and I dig into the ideas behind the book — the practice of circumambulation, the pitfalls of “summit fever,” and the possibility of finding beauty even in places scarred by extraction. We also talk about the creative process: how to find your authentic voice in a world full of (good and bad) influences, how to write with both intimacy and respect, and how stories can become tools for resilience and re-enchantment. If you've ever sensed that the most interesting part of a long run, a wilderness trip, or a creative endeavor is what happens beneath the surface, this is a conversation for you. Nick has a gift for showing us how going “nowhere” can sometimes bring us closer to where we most need to be. Check out the episode notes for links to everything.
