This week, Paul and Phil take a devisive look at the latest in the Destiny Of The Doctor range in the form of an 8th Doctor story entitled Enemy Aliens. Yes a story of alien invasion of two kinds leaves the pair of them approaching this story from different directions but which of them liked it and which of them didn't? It might not be who you think! And in the news this week, it's still Capaldi mania as fandom comes to terms with his casting as the 12th Doctor, audience figures on the TV spectacular to his announce his casting and in Omega's Tat Corner, some tat that doesn't even exist yet! Oh and Paul? The rat wants to go out.
The crowded TARDIS gets even more crowded as Dave and Thomas squeeze in to look at the Fifth Doctor's reign and the man behind the celery - Peter Davison. Dave and Dean look at the latest Destiny of the Doctor title from AudioGO and Big Finish and Thomas reads Fear of the Dark by Trevor Baxendale.

This week the lads turn their attention to the eagerly anticipated story Journey To The Centre Of The TARDIS. After the last two weeks of enjoyment for Phil and Paul, I'm afraid to say this week is a bit of a let down. No, they are not best pleased with this trip inside Sexy and at times get quite animated at this fun but rather disappointing story. But what did please them and what did annoy them? Listen and find out to this episode that will most probably ostracise them from fandom!! And in the news week, some DVD news including one DVD that nearly made it's way into Omega's Tat Corner, the next in the Destiny Of the Doctor range from AudioGo and of course the return of Omega's Tat Corner with a book that will delight Doctor Who geeks everywhere. After a slight delay, this week’s show is now on the feeds. In this episode, we get a little long winded and discuss the Second Doctor’s era. This is our 50th anniversary retrospective on the Patrick Troughton era, and Second Doctor materials, starting with a trip to the Land of Fiction in The Mind Robber. Then, Frazer Hines takes the reins and a turn as the Doctor, sort of, with the Big Finish and AudioGO...Read more The post Episode 117 – The Second Doctor In Review appeared first on Traveling the Vortex.
They're back!! After disappearing from the airwaves while Phil became a Father, Phil & Paul return with a look at the lates of the Destiny of The Doctor audio stories Shadow of Death. Would they think this was an improvement on the last Destiny of The Doctor story or would it be another disappointment in this 50th Anniversary series? Mind you, they're only doing this as they're not at Gallifrey One like everyone else!! And in the news this week, the Ice Warriors make their return in series 7, the 50th Anniversary story will be in 3D, loads of updates on the BFI Doctor Who screenings and a brief sojourn is made to Omega's Tat Corner. Now how's that for an alternative to the greatest Doctor Who convention on the planet?
