They’re just tired! But that probably isn’t a bad thing and the team has certainly turned up the intensity meter in training. On today’s show, your hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter are here to discuss the Galaxy’s latest news and to talk about the mistakes that are still haunting the club even as they try and transition to a new regime. The guys will start off talking about Sebastian Lletget’s success over the weekend with U.S. Soccer and why a trip to Avaya Stadium will certainly bring up some bad memories. Then Josh and Kevin will dive into the Galaxy’s slightly modified training schedule. That includes the latest information on how the players are holding up and what the upcoming closed-door friendly could mean for a team that didn’t really have any issues closing out games in 2018 – by then the Galaxy were usually losing. And with news that João Pedro could be going on loan back to Portugal, are the Galaxy willing to admit that they got it all wrong? And if they were wrong on Pedro, is there an admission that they were wrong with Giovani dos Santos, as well? Panda and Pato will also update you on the latest news regarding Uriel Antuna and Diego Polenta and wonder out loud why the Galaxy seem to take so long to announce things that really should already be done. And does Polenta mark the end of the transfers for the Galaxy? Will international slots keep the club from adding more to the defense? Everyone wants to talk about the US national team's big win, but first Ben 'The Research' Baer steps into the starting lineup to drop some knowledge that's downright painful for Minnesota United fans. It may have been a truncated MLS weekend, but there are still plenty of takes (hot, lukewarm and cold) to be had. Are the Loons really in contention to set records for futility or will this trend reverse? Is Pipa Higuain back to his best or was that a beautiful mirage against the Timbers? Is Tyler Adams the next coming?   Breathing easier this week? That might just be because the USMNT shook off months of uncertainty and worry after disposing of Honduras 6-0 at Avaya Stadium. As many tweeted at ExtraTime Radio, a hat-trick for Deuce -- and yes, we were watching the game and not just looking at the stats -- and some special moments from Christian Pulisic and Jozy Altidore, among others, got Bruce Arena and the boys back on the track. With Clint Dempsey bearing down on Landon Donovan's goal record, the guys wonder if there's a new all-time USMNT best soon to be crowned. Plus, how much can we really take away from such a lopsided result? The first chance to find out whether the Americans have turned a page comes Tuesday against Panama at Estadio Rommel Fernandez (10 pm ET; beINSPORTS, Follow on the MLS App). David Sakata of Diario Pro joins the guys to explain why Graham Zusi is known as the ghost in Panama, what happened to Los Canaleros in Trinidad and how they'll attempt to grab a huge three points at home against a CONCACAF giant. In the mailbag, the ETR curse is back (and may be Wiebe's fault), the guys debate Atlanta's effect on MLS, Ben wonders if the Red Bulls will stick with the 4-2-2-2 long term and David claims the Tyler Adams hype train for himself.

Abaurrea and Lalas discuss the city of San Jose's rocky history with MLS, and take a trip back to 1997, the last time the United States played a World Cup Qualifier in the Bay Area. Lalas gives his take on MLS expansion, saying that San Diego, in his opinion, currently has "the second best bid of the 12 cities in the running. Abaurrea and Lalas also discuss the recent national anthem ruling from US Soccer, touching on Megan Rapinoe's protest, and what Lalas meant with his comments regarding Rapinoe, as well as the Black Lives Matter movement. The guys gather to break down Heineken Rivalry Week, starting with an Atlantic Cup clash that saw the Red Bulls run over a D.C. In Toronto, the Reds squeaked past the Didier Drogba-less Impact, a result that was the final nail in the coffin for Frank Klopas in Montreal. Mauro Biello is taking over on an interim basis, and RDS' Pat Leduc joins the guys to explain what's going on behind the scenes with the Impact. Plus, Seattle won by the skin of their teeth much to the chagrin of Caleb Porter, and San Jose have now won four straight after a California Clasico win vs. the Galaxy. Of course, there was plenty of action outside of Heineken Rivalry Week, most notably in the Bronx, where New York City FC lost to Columbus Crew SC and Jason Kreis questioned his team's commitment. Colorado won again to keep their playoff hopes alive, Vancouver lost for the ninth time in nine games in Texas and Fabian Castillo scored then got a Colombia call-up. Speaking of international duty, David and Andrew break down the US national team roster that includes a mixture of World Cup and Gold Cup stars. In the mailbag, a listener wonders what Kei Kamara would have to do to win MVP, the guys sift through more Timbers-Sounders stories, a San Jose fan bemoans all the Steven Gerrard jerseys at Avaya Stadium and David solicits random MLS sightings in world soccer.

**Listen in as Positive Coaching Alliance goes 1-on-1 in interviews with top pro and college players, coaches, executives and other major sports figures who provide tips, tools, information and inspiration for youth and high school sports coaches, parents and student-athletes.** This 1-on-1 interview features Dave Kaval ([@QuakesPrez](https://twitter.com/QuakesPrez)), PCA National Advisory Board Member and President of Major League Soccer’s San Jose Earthquakes and Major League Baseball's Oakland Athletics. Kaval, a graduate of Stanford Business School, has transformed the Earthquakes into a team that leads MLS in corporate sponsorship dollars. His leadership has fueled the Quakes’ plans to open their new venue, Avaya Stadium, in March of 2015. PCA Founder Jim Thompson ([@JimThompson18](https://twitter.com/JimThompson18)) begins his talk with Kaval about his founding of a grassroots baseball league. Kaval explains that not fearing failure allowed him to succeed in the foundations of that league and has been instrumental to his success in the MLS, as well. Kaval is a strong proponent of seeing failure as an opportunity, rather than as something negative. Kaval and Thompson discuss how a U.S. culture with a prevailing win-at-all-cost mentality impacts youth soccer in our country. Determined to foster development of youth through sports, Kaval also discusses how character-education deserves greater emphasis in youth soccer clubs and how Quakes’ star and U.S. Men’s National Team Member Chris Wondolowski ([@ChrisWondo](https://twitter.com/ChrisWondo)) is a Triple-Impact Competitor® who helps improve his community.
