Hallo ihr Lieben!Willkommen zu einer neuen Podcast-Folge. Wir nehmen euch mit in unseren zweiten Tag in Mumbai. Auch dieser Tag war ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis, voller bewegender Momente und unerwarteter Eindrücke – ein wahrer emotionaler Rollercoaster.Unser Morgen startete mit einem Besuch bei Dhobi Ghat, der wohl größten Open-Air-Wäscherei der Welt. Hier wird seit Generationen unter freiem Himmel Wäsche gewaschen, getrocknet und gebügelt. Was uns jedoch tief berührt hat: Viele der Menschen leben tatsächlich direkt in der Wäscherei – unter einfachsten Bedingungen. Das war nicht nur faszinierend, sondern auch schockierend.Danach ging es weiter in mehrere kleine Läden für Spielzeug und Schulmaterialien – denn wir hatten eine ganz besondere Mission: Unser Guide, der selbst als Lehrer in den Slums arbeitet, ermöglichte es uns, dorthin zu fahren – ein Erlebnis, das viele Reiseleiter aus Sicherheitsgründen ablehnen. Doch er kannte sich bestens aus und hatte unser vollstes Vertrauen.Natürlich wollten wir nicht mit leeren Händen kommen, sondern den Kindern eine Freude bereiten. Die ganze Familie half mit, liebevoll Geschenke auszusuchen – Stifte, Hefte, Spiele und kleine Überraschungen. C'était à l'automne 2023 que nous avions accueilli une première fois le jeune Petit Rapace, à l'occasion de la sortie de son album Slum Kids, extension en série dédiée d'une courte histoire qui avait d'abord été présentée dans l'anthologie LowReader au Label 619 (chez Rue de Sèvres). Un an et demi plus tard, le dessinateur est de retour à nos micros - et en présentiel ! - alors que le second tome vient de paraître, et laisse apparaître quelques évolutions dans le récit et dans le dessin de cet univers. Il n'en fallait pas plus pour motiver une discussion de notre format "Chroniques du Label 619" !Petit Rapace de retour sur First Print !Slum Kids Tome 2 montre une évolution dans le dessin de Petit Rapace, mais aussi dans la tonalité, délaissant le côté purement nihiliste pour une histoire un poil plus positive, et qui laisse désormais entrevoir toute l'étendue de ce qu'est la décharge dans laquelle se passent les différentes histoires désormais publiées, avec des personnages qui évoluent et se développent dans le temps.
