Episode 20 and dare I say, this one might be our best! The Dudes are still a man short, but even with Drew on House Arrest, they continue to carry on in his honor. We start things off with a Thanksgiving recap to which we remember that Fox had been sick for a few weeks with COVID as well as Josh and Steve's sicknesses. Next Josh really steps it up shares that he brought up his idea of writing a book on Cum Trees at Thanksgiving dinner…WITH HIS FAMILY! As if we couldn't top that, We talk about the smell of Foxes sneezes.Holy shit, this episode is really all over the place and we've only just begun. Next up, sandwiches vs burritos, naturally. Then Steve gets the hiccups and Fox replaced his family. Steve then brings things way down with the unexpected death of a loved one and this might be the most serious moment of the show to this date. The dudes talk about dealing with death while having kids and how to deal with it and talk to them about death and explaining the how to understand it and cope with it not only with children, but as an adult. Next up, Steve brings up the disgusting shows his 5 and 7 year-olds watch and other weird body things. The Dudes then transition to Sex Museum…Seriously, this episode is crazy. Finally, the Dudes get on to a normal topic and talk about the new Andre 3000 album and other music. Then Steve brings up how he started listening to The Bible and from there, there the Dudes for the first time  talk about Religion and its complications. Nextup, the dumb ass Willy Wonka movies and then we end on the Taco Bell holiday orgy party. Don't believe us? Check out the new episode of Dude Stew and don't forget to like and subscribe. Next Josh shares his review of the Foo Fighters show that he went to and apparently literally everyone had a good time.  We then get into the review of FoxFlix which was “Tom Hank's Electric City” and Steve was the only one that made it through and watched the entire thing and believe it are not, he did not enjoy it. As we move on from FoxFlix, the Dudes naturally transition into Black face (not literally!!) and discuss how offence and insane it is and then toss around some ideas for the next FoxFlix. Then Steve shares his less then awesome family trip to Big Trees and then Drew shares his family trip to Dillions Beach where they disrespected a cemetery and then we learn that surprisingly, Steve isn't a beach guy. We then get down and dirty with the Skeleton Erection Party that Josh is throwing to unveil his 12-foot birthday skeleton as well as possible monthly themes for it. Then back to race and some unfortunate and weird small town racist and bullying antics that the Dudes saw in High School.  Jesus Christ, then back to FoxFlix recommendations. Josh talks about the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and how good it was. Then Josh , Steve and Drew share stories about their kids and their wild ass behavior as of late as well as child care stories. Then the Dudes talk about Crocs…and then Fox shares the time he got kicked out of a Flight of the Concords Concert. Next the Dude brainstorm their next business idea for the State Fair 2024. Jan Bidner met with Josh Clark, from the American design studio Big Medium, headlining the conference UX London this year. The topic was Designing for What’s Next: The last ten years digital interaction has been driven by mobile, the next ten years will be driven by machine learning and AI. Engineers have showed us what is possible, now it is time for designers to find out how to use it - and the presentation of data is as important as the underlining logarithm. Machine learning services are available for free! Microsoft, Google, and Amazon have web-friendly interfaces that anyone can try out and evaluate. UX researchers need to support the data scientists when it comes to building models that reflect the whole base of humans that we want to serve. Otherwise the data and the AI interfaces will be biased, developed by privileged white people in the western World. Image analysis is a typical example when things sometimes go wrong. A picture of a dinosaur on a measurer was described as a dinosaur on a skateboard... Bots today use natural language, even sounding like humans in a phone call. But they are still less capable than humans. Is that what we want? How do we create interfaces that set the appropriate expectations that reflect what the system is actually capable of? It could be good to present the bot as a bot. (See Google Duplex.) So what happens now? Very few interfaces go away. The keyboard is still there. Touch is still there. We are just adding more interfaces. The speech interface is here now, but it is not replacing the other ones, e.g. in open offices. Today, your hosts take you back through the demoralizing draw with Seattle, and highlight LA Galaxy II's advancement in the USL Playoffs. We know it's a buy week, but we've got more to talk about, without a game this weekend, than we normally do. Your hosts Josh Guesman and Cory Ritzau will start by recapping the draw with Seattle. It was 90 minutes of good soccer, followed by 30 seconds of "who was covering that guy?" They'll talk about how this is probably a pretty good result considering the form Seattle has found. The guys will also ask questions regarding the goalkeeping and highlight some of the better performances on the night. Is this team capable of sitting back when they're ahead? Then it's off to talk about LA Galaxy II and their successful advancement over OC Blues FC in the Western Conference. Josh and Cory will play post-game audio from Head Coach Curt Onalfo and LA Galaxy II Striker, Ari Lassiter. Next Josh will be joined by CoG: From the Box Co-host, Adam Serrano to get his views on everything that's happened with the LA Galaxy including Seattle, Los Dos, injuries, International call-ups and anything else they can think of. Finally, it's a free-for-all segment with Josh and Cory going over every bit of LA Galaxy news they can think of. Including an argument about whether or not Landon Donovan's recent comments concerning the USMNT are even relevant for LA Galaxy fans. No game this weekend? Apparently that doesn't matter. Because this show is absolutely packed. Music Provided by Back Pocket Memory.

Happy Friday!  It is the last Friday of the month and that means it is time for just Josh and Ben to talk about what has happened this month and review the great guests than graced us with their presence on the show. We start off the show discussing networking at conferences.  What does it mean for Josh to put his game face on when he attends these events.  What does he get out of it and how does it help him professionally and personally?  This also leads into a discussion on why we started the show.  Learning from those who are out there doing the things they do while still making time for themselves. Next Josh tells a story of revenge!  Revenge in a pure form of being the best that he can be.  Josh went to Pei Wei after recording an interview and ran into an old friend that he lost after a breakup.  We're sure that after a couple breaks up, friends sometimes choose one person or the other to maintain the friendship.  This friendship was one of those where Josh was on the losing side.  It was very satisfying to talk with this lost friend and tell him how well Josh was doing and how satisfied Josh is with his life. Getting themselves back on track, Josh and Ben talk about Kavit Haria.  Ben really wanted to talk music with Kavit, after all he's played with some stellar musicians!  Staying on theme for the show, Ben really tried to keep on work/life balance.  The music conversation then moved to a previous guest, Graham English, who also came from a music background.  Finally, Josh & Ben talk about their favorite Value Bombs from Kavit. Next Josh & Ben talk about Ed O'keefe and their favorite Value Bomb from him.  In a rare turn of events, Josh and Ben both agree on their favorite Value Bomb.  This leads us down a conversation about what spirituality means and of Ed's views on how to take care of yourself, what does spirituality actually mean?  Josh also shares a valuable part of himself, he is not very woo woo. After that, Josh & Ben cover what they learned from Austin Iuliano and what we learned from him.  Ben reflects a bit about Austin revealed that while he was speaking with us, he was also Meerkating the show.  At first Ben was very concerned about the world listening to a very unpolished, raw show and on the heals of that, how awesome that Austin's fans were listening live and enjoying the conversation!  Would you Utopians out there enjoy listening to the shows live as they are recorded?  Should we try and make that happen?  After much speculation, Josh & Ben speak about their favorite Value Bombs from Austin. Finally, Josh & Ben review our guest from this week, Alisa DiLorenzo.  For Ben, it was like catching up with an old friend while speaking with Alisa.  That speaks highly of how easy she is to speak with. Josh & Ben then get to their favorite Value Bombs from Alisa (again, not agreeing). Before closing out the show, Josh & Ben tease about the upcoming 100th show As always, a special thank you to The Strand for our intro and outro music!
