https://astrology.tv/ Professional Astrologer, Kelli Fox, from Astrology.TV gives you an astrology forecast for the month ahead and your monthly horoscope for August 2023. Be sure to tune in each month to find out what's in store for your zodiac sign. Let me know how your month's going? Jam-packed doesn't begin to describe the wild and wacky month of August! Whether we happen to be smack-bang in the middle of a sweltering High Summer or in the deepest grip of a wet & windy Winter, August has a little something to keep us all busy and on the very tip of our toes.  Not only do we have a only-once-every-eighteen-months-Venus-Retrograde on August 9th,  but we are also about to experience not only one, but, rather, two Full Moons - on August 1st (in Aquarius) and August 30th (in Pisces) respectively. It's almost like the Universe is starting and wrapping the month up in a lovely, big cosmic bow. Ta-da!  So, along with a New Moon in Leo on August 16th, this makes a grand total of three lunations over the month, Three chances to start over, to end things - or whatever else floats your cosmic boat, darlings. Added to that, we've got the move of Mars into a whole new sign - Libra - on August 27th, plus the start of Virgo Season on August 22nd, which follows hot on the heels of a dramatic Leo period.  Phew. Can we take a hot minute to integrate all of that?  When there are so many different elements flying about, it can be tough to stay grounded and focused. Yet the overall message of August is to allow the creativity and self-expression of the first couple of weeks to be grounded in practical reality over the next several weeks. It's about checking in with our hearts, reviewing our relationships, our values, our stories. It's about closing the door on what's no longer relevant to us, whilst keeping our options as open as possible.  Before Mars heads into compromising Libra, he makes a fair number of aspects to some powerhouse planets, such as Jupiter (August 2nd), Uranus (August 17th), Neptune (August 21st) and finally, Pluto, on August 21st. Mars gets our blood pumping and is the common thread uniting all these different energies through the month. He encourages us to expand, grow, to get detailed about our desires, to be open to innovation, to be honest, clear and to stand firmly in our power and to stay true to what we want.  Yes, it's a lot. But it's nothing we can't handle. Bring it on!  GET YOUR FREE PERSONALIZED ASTROLOGY MOVIE: https://video.astrology.tv/ Unlock your limitless potential. Discover yourself now. On this week's episode of Ham Radio Crash Course, a podcast roughly based on amateur radio, hosted by Josh Nass, KI6NAZ and his no license wife, Leah, we talk about what to do after you get your Technician class license. For those who want to skip to this topic, it starts at 1:40. Do not listen to the end. There will be regrets.    Ham Radio Minute: There is no one radio to rule them all.    Podcast Reviews: We, like, really like reviews. Thanks for those iTunes ratings. They help the podcast reach more people to grow the hobby!    Leah's Email Corner: We answer emails about the Alinco DR-735T, ham radio comics, Before Mars on NatGeo, what happened to Bella, making butter, and what color to paint your radio.     You can email Leah if you want something discussed on the podcast at Leah@hamtactical.com.    Technician Crash Course: Leah is rounding the 12-17 questions of what is hopefully her last practice test on the podcast.    Drinks: We drink Pizza Port Brewing Company Imperial Coffee Porter and Modern Times Thundera Hazy India Pale Ale. Also, please note that IPAs suck. Nothing needs to be that hoppy.    Show topic: What's the first thing you should do when you get your Technician class license? A reminder, don't listen all the way to the end, stop at 2h 05m. This descends quickly into a tired beer induced haze of ridiculousness. But Josh is too tired to edit it so it stays in, he was 100% full Ballmer Peak.    Thank you all for listening to the podcast.  We have alot of fun making it and the fact you listen and send us feedback means alot to us!     You can email Leah with shirt ideas and show ideas at Leah@hamtactical.com. Pulling Your Hair Out: Conversations About The Writing Process

Shruti Saran is a screenwriter and third-culture kid from Ann Arbor, Michigan (by way of India, England, and Missouri). She graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Michigan and began writing a few years later while working in digital marketing. She loves writing comedies with science-based premises and industry satires about unique workplaces. Her original pilot, BEFORE MARS, a Mars One satire, was a Tracking Board Finalist, Finish Line semi-finalist, and AFF quarterfinalist. She also recently wrote, directed, and produced the series GYM BUDDIES, a lady-driven, partly-musical web comedy about two women tryna get in shape, which was inspired by musical comedies and her own efforts to stay reasonably fit for a desk-based person. Currently, Shruti lives in Austin, TX with her fiancé, a crypto entrepreneur and the inspiration behind her first one-hour, a cryptocurrency drama called FINDING SATOSHI. "I write everyday. I write on a really regular schedule. I get up in the morning and I write. And I'm really grateful that I have the freedom to do that." • Shruti's website • Shruti on Twitter • Gym Buddies   // Pulling Your Hair Out is produced and hosted by Richard Lowe. Aired Monday, 11 February 2019, 9:00 PM ETThe Planets This Week: February 11, 2019The astro headline of the week is warrior planet Mars moving into gentle Taurus where it will be until March 30th. This will be a welcome reprieve after a hectic six weeks while Mars was in Aries. Mars is usually very happy with Aries but this time not so much as it was forming so very challenging angles to the outer planets. Now, while Mars is in Taurus, we can expect a slower pace, much more methodical, pragmatic and practical. Before Mars moves into Taurus on Thursday, he will be making his final tough aspect when he conjuncts unpredictable Uranus. This is a volatile and rageful energy that brings unexpected situations and encounters. This is especially true if you are born towards the end of any of the cardinal signs – Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Also, this week, communication planet Mercury moves into dreamy Pisces. This is an extra long Mercury cycle because it will turn retrograde on March 5th until March 28th. Mercury is the planet that is connected to our thought processes, logic, understanding and of course communication. It isn't a good fit when it's with Pisces as this sign is more about emotions and feelings. When the two come together it's a disjointed energy.Mercury turns retrograde about three times a year for three weeks each time. This Mercury retrograde period promises to be a tough one filled with miscommunication, confusion and misunderstandings. The best way to counter-balance this energy is to be more creative and to use the right side of your brain. Performing arts, intuition, music – anything that's connected to the sign Pisces. Care and compassion for yourself and others is another way to dissipate potentially fraught situations.Tune in on Monday 6pm PT/9pm ET to find out more…
