Ivo van Hove is renowned as one of the most innovative — and divisive — theatre directors working today. The Belgian's enthralling stage adaptations of classic works consistently subvert expectations. Now, van Hove's adaptation of the confronting novel A Little Life is coming to the Adelaide Festival. Also, a married lesbian couple with two children face divorce in Blessed Union, a new comedy at Belvoir, and Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap, the longest-running play on London's West End, is touring Australia. But is it a paragon of modern theatre or a tourist trap?

Brad Kuster Shares in John about having a blessed union with the Father.
On this edition of Fresh Hope for Mental Health, Pastor Brad Hoefs interviews Rev. Sara Lund, author of "Blessed Union breaking the silence of mental illness and marriage".
There is much overlap between the Sermon Series this week, as we explore Rev. Dr. Sarah Griffith Lund's book about marriage and mental illness, "Blessed Union," and the story of Jacob wrestling with God (an angel? his conscience?) in Genesis 32. Struggle is real, for all of us, and so is the power of reconciliation and relationship. Join us for a (longer) meditation on mental health, covenant, struggle, and love.
Book launch interview Sarah Griffith Lund for “Blessed Union: breaking the silence about mental illness and marriage”
Today we are grateful to be joined by Rev. Dr. Sarah Lund, Senior Minister at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Indianapolis, and author of "Blessed Union: Breaking the Silence about Mental Illness and Marriage". Together, we unpack some of the challenges we face regarding mental illness, holy relationships, and the church - including stigma, ignorance, and lack of access to care. At the same time, we share signs of great hope, and encourage one another to tell our true stories with faith and love. We are not alone, and there is much that faithful individuals and churches can do to create a safer, more compassionate, and more just world for those with mental illness. Find "Blessed Union" wherever you buy books, and many more resources at sarahgriffithlund.com.
She's baaack!Rev. Dr. Sarah Lund is here again sharing with us about her book, Blessed Union: Breaking the Silence about Mental Health & Marriage. At least 1/4 of all partnerships are impacted by the presence of mental illness in one or both partners. In her book, Blessed Union, Rev. Lund opens up about how mental illness has affected her own marriage and shares stories of other couples and their journeys as well. The book covers a variety of mental illnesses such as addiction, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, post tramautic stress disorder, postpartum depression, schizophrenia, suicidality, and more. The book is truly a testament to the power of love, partnership, support, and the ways God shows up in the midst of struggle. It follows the framework of traditional marriage vows to explore the difficulties of loving in the midst of mental health challenges. It is an incredible resource, full of guided reflection questions and opportunities to dig deeper. “A must-read book for clergy, pre-marital counselors, married folk, those of us who know we live with mental health challenges and those of us who don’t.”–Monica A. Coleman, author, Bipolar Faith: a Black Woman’s Journey with Depression and Faith....Rev. Sarah was that kid who the teacher called on to stay inside during recess to help students who needed extra time taking tests. No wonder she grew up to be a minister! Ever since college she knew she wanted to dedicate my life to serving God and helping others.Rev. Sarah's formal education includes degrees from Trinity University (BA), Princeton Theological Seminary (MDiv), Rutgers University (MSW), McCormick Theological Seminary (DMin) and the certificate in Fundraising Management from the IUPUI School of Fundraising.Since 2003, Rev. Sarah has served large and small congregations in Brooklyn, Minneapolis, and New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and Indianapolis, Indiana. In 2018, she was called to serve as the first woman Senior Pastor at First Congregational United Church of Christ of Indianapolis. In addition, she serves on the National Staff of the United Church of Christ as the Minister for Disabilities and Mental Health Justice.
Today, we thank God for the breath of life and the gift of life. We pray that God helps us to patiently wait for His promises to come to pass while we diligently work out our faith in Jesus name, amen! In today's bible study, we consider the topic "A Blessed Union". Our text is from Gen 24:67.

Uplifting electronic dance music with male vocals. Why should the divas have all the fun? "Boyz" is the namesake DJ set series that kicked off my podcast 4.5 years ago when I really didn't think anyone would listen. (Well except for my best friends scattered across the U.S.) But 450,000 downloads and subscribers and a "What's Hot!" listing in the iTunes store (January 2013) corrected that thinking. I guess a few people are fans? If you're a fan already, you might be able to predict episode #102 but you won't guess #103. hehe. #EDMisGod! #BoyzvocalsEDM #VocalProgressiveHouse #RetroEDM Enjoy! - Kerry Poynter (write me & send promos to clubkerry@gmail.com) Track List (62:31): Beautiful World (Original Mix) - Paul Oakenfold & Disfunktion feat.
