Sometimes God asks us to leave behind everything familiar so He can lead us into the purpose we were truly created for.Comfort.Security.Plans.Even the life we thought we wanted. In this powerful and inspiring conversation, John Martin sits down with Felix Amwayi to share a testimony of radical surrender, bold faith, and living fully for the Kingdom of God.Originally from Kenya, Felix had what many people would consider a dream life. He held a respected government job, had financial stability, and was building a secure future. But in the middle of that success, God began speaking to his heart with an unexpected call:“Go to America.”At first, Felix resisted. In fact, he didn't even want to come to America. The culture felt unfamiliar, distant, and uncomfortable to him. But God continued to pursue his heart and eventually gave him a powerful dream that changed everything. In the dream, Felix saw a woman preparing to take her own life. As he pleaded with her not to do it, he suddenly heard himself say:“I'm going to resign my job tomorrow.”The moment he surrendered, the woman lowered the gun. When Felix woke up, he knew God was calling him to obey.Leaving behind security, career stability, finances, and everything familiar, Felix stepped out in faith and moved to Florida to attend Bible school—even though he knew almost no one there. What followed became a testimony of God's faithfulness.Felix shares how the Lord provided for him step by step: from housing, friendships, financial provision, and divine connections, to completely transforming his perspective on purpose and evangelism. While attending Bible school, Felix realized something that changed his life forever:We were not created to live for ourselves—we were created to make Jesus known.Since then, he has devoted his life to boldly sharing the Gospel everywhere he goes:On airplanes. In airports. On beaches. In businesses. On the streets. With strangers. With anyone willing to listen.Felix passionately explains that many people are simply waiting for someone to notice them, pray for them, and remind them that God loves them. He believes too many believers stay silent because of fear, insecurity, or distraction—while countless people around them are desperate for hope. One of the most powerful themes in this conversation is surrender.Felix reminds listeners that true purpose begins when we stop living only for ourselves and start living for what matters eternally. He challenges believers to stop allowing distractions, comfort, and fear to keep them from fulfilling the purpose God created them for. This conversation is filled with encouragement for anyone wrestling with obedience, fear, uncertainty, or purpose:God can be trusted.Obedience opens doors. And surrender leads to transformation.Felix encourages listeners to:Spend daily time with God in His Word.Get connected to a Christ-centered church.Surround themselves with healthy Christian community. And boldly share the love of Jesus wherever they go.You were created for more than survival. You were created for purpose. And your obedience may change someone else's eternity. What's one thing God may be asking you to surrender so you can fully walk in His purpose for your life? For more information contact us atrtrdestiny@gmail.com

The Life Of Christ #138 Towards Jerusalem by John Martin
Sometimes the people who look the most joyful and grounded have also walked through deep struggles, hidden pain, anxiety, and seasons of searching for meaning. Behind every testimony is a story of God meeting someone personally and changing their life forever. In this heartfelt conversation, John Martin sits down with Anne Coleman Hufham to share her powerful journey of discovering Jesus, finding her identity in Him, and learning what it truly means to rest in the love of God.Anne grew up in a loving Christian home in Birmingham, Alabama, surrounded by supportive parents and family. But even with that strong foundation, she still wrestled with insecurity, worldly pressures, and searching for affirmation in all the wrong places. Like so many young people, she found herself chasing acceptance, relationships, and temporary fulfillment—hoping those things would fill the ache in her heart.By her freshman year of college, Anne had reached a breaking point. Exhausted, empty, and desperate for something real, she cried out to God from her dorm room and asked Him to take over her life. That moment changed everything. As Anne began seeking Jesus through His Word and spending time in His presence, her heart slowly transformed. She shares how God met her personally through worship, scripture, and a life-changing discipleship retreat where she encountered the love of the Father in a way she never had before. One of the most powerful moments in her testimony came while walking barefoot through a field after a retreat weekend. There, God spoke deeply to her heart:“Today I'm making all things new.”In that moment, shame, guilt, and the weight of her past were lifted, and Anne fully surrendered her life to Christ. But her story doesn't stop there.Anne also opens up honestly about a later season in life where she battled intense anxiety for nearly two years—even while deeply pursuing God. She shares how confusing and painful that season felt, wondering why healing wasn't coming immediately despite prayer, fasting, and faith.Yet even in the middle of anxiety, God never abandoned her.Instead, He used that difficult season to strengthen her faith, deepen her dependence on Him, and shape her into the woman He was calling her to become. Through time and surrender, God eventually brought healing and freedom.Anne's story is a reminder that following Jesus does not mean life becomes perfect or pain disappears. It means we no longer walk through hardship alone. This conversation is filled with hope and encouragement for anyone feeling lost, anxious, ashamed, or far from God:You are not too broken. You are not too far gone. And your story is not over.God is not afraid of your mess.He sees your pain, your struggles, and your fears—and He still wants relationship with you.Anne encourages listeners to:Spend time daily in God's Word.Find a Christ-centered church community.Surround yourself with accountability and godly friendships. And learn to rest in the truth that you are fully loved by the Father. No matter where you've been or what you're carrying today, Jesus is still making all things new. What's one burden or fear you need to fully surrender to God today?Contact Anne Coleman Hufham:

No one is too far gone for God.No addiction is too strong. No past is too broken. And no life is beyond the reach of His grace. In this powerful and deeply moving conversation, John Martin sits down with Ashley Julian to share a testimony of radical redemption, restoration, and the life-changing power of surrendering everything to Jesus. At first glance, many people see Ashley's joy, peace, and bright spirit and would never imagine the darkness she once walked through. But behind her smile is a story marked by years of addiction, brokenness, pain, and hopelessness.Ashley shares how she struggled with addiction from the age of 12 until she was 35 years old. During those years, her life spiraled deeper into destruction. She lost custody of her children, battled alcoholism, and found herself trapped in cycles she could not break on her own.She tried different ways to escape the addiction, but nothing truly worked. Then one day, everything began to change.A friend invited Ashley to church. At first, she resisted. She didn't feel worthy, didn't want to go, and had no idea that one invitation would completely alter the course of her life. That night, Ashley attended a Pentecostal church service and encountered the presence of God in a way she had never experienced before. Later that evening, she made the decision to be baptized. And when she came up out of the water, something changed.Although she didn't fully understand it at the time, God had begun setting her free.Soon after, Ashley's life took another dramatic turn. Facing multiple warrants and legal trouble, she found herself standing at a crossroads. In one of the most powerful moments of her testimony, Ashley shares how the Holy Spirit spoke clearly to her while she was hiding from police—telling her to stop running and walk out the front door in surrender. That surrender became the beginning of true freedom. While serving time in jail, isolated and stripped of everything familiar, God met her again. Through prayer and obedience, Ashley applied to Path of Grace, a long-term faith-based recovery program in Florida. Despite every obstacle and every fear, God opened the impossible doors for her to leave Wyoming and begin a brand-new life.At Path of Grace, Ashley not only found sobriety—she found Jesus. There, she began learning who she truly was in Christ:Redeemed.Chosen.Forgiven.Loved.Through counseling, discipleship, church community, and time in God's presence, her entire identity began to change. The shame of her past no longer defined her future. And God wasn't finished restoring her story.Ashley also shares how her marriage, which was headed toward divorce, was miraculously restored after her husband encountered Jesus as well. Today, they remain married, reunited with their children, and living as a testimony of God's power to heal families and rebuild what once seemed lost forever. This conversation is filled with hope for anyone struggling with addiction, depression, shame, fear, or hopelessness:God still restores.God still heals.God still redeems.Ashley encourages listeners to:Spend daily time in God's Word.Get connected to a Bible-believing church.Surround themselves with godly community and accountability. And most importantly—fully surrender to Jesus.Your story is not over. There is still hope. And freedom is possible through Christ. What's one area of your life where God may be asking you to stop running and fully surrender today?Contact Ashley Julian:

The Life Of Christ #136 Jesus and the Rich Young Ruler by John Martin
Sometimes the greatest transformation happens when we finally stop pretending we have it all together.Behind the smiles, success, and appearances, many people are silently battling addiction, shame, anxiety, fear, and hopelessness. They believe the lie that they're alone in their struggles—but God never intended for us to fight alone. In this honest and powerful conversation, John Martin sits down with Travis Wilburn to share a testimony of redemption, freedom, and the life-changing power of godly community.Travis opens up about growing up in a Christian home but spending nearly ten years running from God and chasing the world. Like so many people, he searched for purpose and peace through partying, alcohol, and temporary distractions. What started as casual drinking eventually became a coping mechanism for life itself.Good day? Drink to celebrate.Bad day? Drink to numb the pain. For years, Travis lived trapped in cycles of addiction, lust, shame, and frustration—while still believing in God on some level. But deep down, he felt stuck and powerless to truly change. Then everything shifted. At 25 years old, Travis began sensing God gently drawing him back. Night after night, while his friends were out partying, he found himself sitting alone in his room listening to sermons, taking notes, and feeling God awaken something inside his heart. One night, while watching a message from Pastor Andy Stanley, Travis responded to an altar call alone in his bedroom. He raised his hand, surrendered his life to Jesus, and encountered the presence of God in a real and personal way.But even after giving his life to Christ, Travis still struggled with hidden sin and cycles he didn't know how to break. That's when God used something unexpected to change his life forever: a small group.Through authentic Christian community, Travis finally experienced what it meant to stop hiding. Sitting in a room full of men honestly sharing their struggles, fears, addictions, and failures, he realized he wasn't alone. For the first time, he confessed the things he had kept hidden for years. And healing began.Travis shares how accountability, prayer, honesty, and brotherhood became the tools God used to bring lasting freedom into his life. He explains that true healing often begins the moment we stop concealing our struggles and bring them into the light. As scripture says:“Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.”This conversation also highlights the importance of surrounding yourself with godly people during life's hardest moments. Travis recounts a terrifying season when his young son suffered a serious accident and was airlifted to the hospital. In the middle of fear and uncertainty, it was the prayers and support of Christian community that carried their family through.Today, Travis passionately encourages others to:Get into God's Word daily.Find a Christ-centered church.Join a small group and walk in authentic community. And never believe the lie that you are alone. No matter what addiction, fear, anxiety, or struggle you're facing today, freedom is possible through Jesus Christ. You don't have to hide anymore. You don't have to fight alone. And your past does not disqualify you from God's purpose. What's one struggle you need to bring into the light and stop carrying by yourself today?Contact Travis Wilburn:
I am always intrigued by people who can't seem to color inside the lines. Most of us are law-abiding citizens. We might get a traffic ticket occasionally or march in protest against a law or action we think is wrong, but we usually play by the rules. Then there are those who skirt the law at every opportunity. The worst of these are sociopaths, and I've written about several who were serial killers. John Martin III committed at least one despicable crime, but most of the time, he just seemed to follow a difficult path through life, doing things many of us would describe as “crazy.” He likely had a mental illness, and I doubt many were surprised when he met with a violent end. Life can change in an instant. One phone call, one betrayal, one painful season can leave everything you once depended on shattered. In those moments, many people wonder: “Where is God now?”In this deeply honest and hope-filled conversation, John Martin sits down with Pastor Dave Holland to share a testimony of heartbreak, restoration, and discovering the overwhelming grace of God.Dave opens up about growing up in East Los Angeles in a rough environment after his parents divorced when he was young. At sixteen years old, he encountered Jesus through a church youth group, beginning a lifelong journey of faith and ministry. God eventually called him into pastoral ministry, leading him across the country to plant churches and serve communities for over 25 years. But even after years of ministry, Dave found himself walking through one of the darkest seasons of his life. After decades of marriage, his wife unexpectedly left, and within months, Dave lost not only his marriage but also his ministry position, career, and home. Everything he had built seemed to collapse at once. He describes it as a season of devastating grief, confusion, and deep emotional pain.Yet it was there—in the middle of brokenness—that Dave encountered the grace of God in a way he never had before. He shares how God met him in his lowest moments, reminding him that no failure, sin, or heartbreak can separate us from His presence. Even when Dave wrestled with anger, shame, and temptation, God remained faithful. Through surrender and honesty before the Lord, healing slowly began to take place.Dave's message is simple but powerful:Jesus is still enough. Not religion. Not performance. Not perfection.Just Jesus.Throughout the conversation, Dave emphasizes that Christianity is not about pretending to have it all together. Churches are filled with imperfect people learning how to love God and love one another. Healing happens when we stop hiding, become honest about our struggles, and walk in authentic community. He encourages believers to:Stay grounded in God's Word.Get connected to a Bible-believing church.Find accountability and community through small groups. And most importantly—keep coming back to Jesus.Dave also speaks directly to those carrying guilt, shame, addiction, or past mistakes, reminding them that they are never too far gone for God's mercy. No matter how broken life may feel, God's grace reaches deeper still.Your failures do not define you.Your pain is not the end of your story. And God's love is bigger than your worst mistake. What's one area of your life where you need to stop hiding and invite Jesus into the healing process today?Contact Pastor Dave Holland:

Life moves fast. There's always something pulling for our attention—work, responsibilities, relationships, and the endless demands of everyday life. But in the middle of all that noise, there's a deeper question we have to ask ourselves: Are our priorities aligned with God's purpose for our lives? In this honest and personal message, John Martin shares what's been on his heart lately—a growing conviction about the importance of putting first things first. Not just in theory, but in the way we actually live day to day. Because if we're honest, most of us have gotten this out of order at some point.Drawing from Matthew 6:33–34, John reminds us of a simple but powerful truth: when we seek God's kingdom first, everything else begins to fall into place. Yet so often, we flip that upside down. We put work before family, schedules before stillness, and responsibilities before relationship with God.John walks through what biblical priorities can look like in real life—putting God first, then our spouse, then our children, and only after that, our work, ministry, or personal pursuits. It sounds simple, but living it out requires trust. Trusting God enough to pause, to listen, and sometimes to choose people over productivity. He shares real-life moments we all face—when helping someone might make us late, when our spouse or kids need us but work feels more urgent, when we're forced to decide what truly comes first. In those moments, God isn't just watching—He's inviting us to trust Him.This message is also a reminder that time with God isn't meant to be squeezed in as an afterthought. It's meant to be the foundation. Starting your day with Him, building that personal, intimate relationship—this is where clarity, strength, and alignment begin.John also reflects on Proverbs 3:5–6, encouraging us to trust in the Lord fully, even when it doesn't make sense. Because when we surrender our plans and priorities to Him, He promises to guide our path. This isn't about perfection—it's about direction. It's about recognizing where we've been off and choosing to realign. John openly shares that he's still working on this too, making this message not just a teaching, but a shared journey. If you've been feeling stretched, out of balance, or unsure of what truly matters most, this message is for you. God is calling us back to alignment—not to restrict us, but to bless us.Let this be a reset moment. A chance to reorder your life in a way that brings peace, purpose, and lasting impact. What's one area in your life where your priorities might need to shift today? For more information contact us atrtrdestiny@gmail.comFor more information contact us atrtrdestiny@gmail.com

Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect. There are moments of deep joy—but also seasons of loss, confusion, and heartbreak that can shake everything we thought was secure. In this powerful conversation, John Martin sits down with John Lyons to talk about what it really looks like to walk with God through life's hardest moments.John shares his personal journey through devastating loss—the kind that takes your breath away and leaves you searching for answers. Instead of running from God, he and his wife chose to lean in. In the middle of grief, they discovered something deeper: when everything else is shaken, God remains. Their story is a reminder that even in pain, God is present—and He is working in ways we may not fully understand yet.We talk about what it means to face fear, anxiety, and uncertainty with faith. Not perfectly, but consistently—bringing every burden, every worry, and every question back to Jesus. John opens up about how community played a vital role in their healing, and why we're not meant to carry life's weight alone. Real connection, vulnerability, and shared faith can make all the difference.Beyond the struggle, this conversation points to purpose. You're not here by accident. God has uniquely designed you with gifts, passions, and a calling that centers on loving others. When you begin to live that out, something changes—joy increases, clarity grows, and life begins to feel meaningful again. We also get practical. Stay grounded by getting into God's Word daily. Build your life around a Christ-centered church. Find a small group where you can be known, supported, and challenged. And don't underestimate the power of simply being present with people—because often, that's where God moves the most.If you're walking through a difficult season, feeling lost, or wondering what your purpose is, this episode is for you. God hasn't left you. He's with you—and He may be using this very moment to draw you closer and shape something stronger in you.Listen now, share this with someone who needs encouragement, and leave a review to help others find hope. What's one area in your life where God might be inviting you to trust Him more today? For more information contact us atrtrdestiny@gmail.comFor more information contact us atrtrdestiny@gmail.com

John Martin - Exclusive interview call with Rihards Vavers, new Memphis transfer
The world is loud right now—full of pressure, distraction, and uncertainty. It's never been easier to escape discomfort and never harder to build true resilience. John Martin and Bruce Duty step into that tension, reminding us that while we often chase comfort, God uses adversity to shape our identity and strengthen our faith. We ground this conversation in Scripture and real-life experience. You'll hear how pain, loss, and hardship are often the very places where God does His deepest work. Bruce shares how discovering your identity in Christ is the foundation for lasting resilience—not just bouncing back for a moment, but growing stronger for a lifetime. We talk about the importance of knowing who you are, why you matter, and how a strong spiritual core changes everything. Then we get practical. Stop running from discomfort and start learning from it. Embrace the process of growth, take responsibility, and allow the Holy Spirit to transform your character—producing love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control. We also highlight the importance of community: real, face-to-face connection, not just digital interaction. Because healing, encouragement, and purpose are often found in the people right in front of you.We also share simple but powerful ways to stay grounded: get into the Word daily, build your life around a Christ-centered church, and find a small group where you can grow, be accountable, and stay connected. And don't forget to step away from the noise—find quiet places where you can hear God clearly and be renewed. If you've been feeling lost, overwhelmed, or stuck in life's challenges, this episode will remind you that God is with you in the valley—and He's using it for your growth. Listen now, share this with someone who needs encouragement, and leave a review so others can find it.What's one challenge in your life that God might be using to build your resilience this week? For more information contact us atrtrdestiny@gmail.comFor more information contact us atrtrdestiny@gmail.com
The internet has made it easy to “win” an argument and incredibly hard to keep a relationship. John Martin and Valerie Peterson go straight at the tension many Christians feel right now: we say we want peace, but our words and posts often create more offense, more division, and colder love.We anchor the conversation in Scripture and bring it into everyday life. You'll hear the call to “love deeply,” practice humility and patience, and live at peace with everyone, even when politics and strong opinions are involved. We talk about what “pray without ceasing” can look like in real time, especially right before you hit send. Valerie shares the simple wisdom of “Can we agree to disagree?” and why active listening helps people feel heard without surrendering your convictions. Then we get practical: stop trying to settle big conflict through comments, DMs, and texts. We explain why face-to-face conversations build understanding, how presence and self-control protect unity, and why forgiveness is not optional if we want peace in our homes, churches, and friendships. We also share our three pillars for staying grounded: get into the Word, commit to a Christ-centered Bible-believing church, and find a small group where you can be accountable and real.If you've felt pulled into online battles or weighed down by offense, listen now, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find it.
