A viral clip claims something shocking: any pastor who gets paid by a church will eventually be corrupted by money. It's a bold accusation — and honestly, harder to dismiss than you might think. In this episode, Bob and Linda watch the clip, slow it down, and wrestle with the real tension underneath the claim. Is the modern church system broken? Does money inevitably compromise spiritual leadership? Or is this another example of painting faithful people with too broad a brush? This conversation isn't defensive or dismissive. It's thoughtful, biblical, and honest — especially for anyone who's experienced church hurt, wrestled with money in ministry, or wondered how pastors are actually supposed to live. In this episode, we discuss: The viral argument that "no pastor escapes being corrupted by church money" Why temptation does not equal sin — for pastors or anyone else How this logic breaks down when applied to everyday work and income Why most pastors are not in ministry for the money (and the real stats behind pastor burnout) The unseen pressures pastors carry — isolation, expectations, and spiritual attack What the Bible actually says about paying those who preach the Gospel Paul's tent-making example — and what it does (and doesn't) prove Why rest, Sabbath, and sabbaticals may be more of the solution than changing pay structures How church hurt can quietly turn into distrust of God if we're not careful What it looks like to give pastors grace without excusing real abuse Key Scriptures referenced (NLT): "The Lord has commanded that those who preach the Good News should be supported by those who benefit from it." — 1 Corinthians 9:14 "Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money." — 1 Timothy 6:17 "You cannot serve both God and money." — Matthew 6:24 A key takeaway: Money creates tension — but tension doesn't automatically lead to corruption. The real danger comes from isolation, burnout, lack of accountability, and forgetting how deeply human our pastors actually are. If you've ever wondered whether the church can handle money faithfully — or whether pastors can be trusted at all — this episode offers a more hopeful, biblically grounded way forward. If this episode encouraged or challenged you, share it with someone who loves the Church but struggles with trust. And if you're a pastor listening: you are not alone, you are not invisible, and you are not wrong for receiving support as you serve God's people. In Revelation 8–9 we see trumpet blasts, plagues, demonic locusts, and global shaking—and yet Scripture ends that section with a chilling line: “The rest of mankind… still did not repent” (Revelation 9:20–21). If righteous judgment doesn't lead the world to repentance, what will? This sermon, “The Hope of the Nations,” walks through Revelation 8–9 (and connects into Revelation 10–11) to show:- God is acting in judgment throughout this present age (Revelation 8:6–13; 9:1–6, 13–19) - God is *restraining* His judgment in mercy, symbolized by the repeated “third” (Revelation 8:7–12; 9:15, 18), giving space and time for repentance (2 Peter 3:9; Romans 2:4) - Humanity tragically refuses to repent, doubling down on idolatry and sin even under judgment (Revelation 9:20–21; Romans 1:18–25) - God advances His purposes through the faithful *witness* of the church, so that judgment + witness leads to repentance (Revelation 10–11, especially 11:3–13; Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8)Drawing on the Exodus plagues as a background (Exodus 7–12), this message shows that God's judgments are not random outbursts of anger but targeted spiritual warfare against false gods and the demonic powers behind them (Exodus 12:12; Colossians 2:15; Ephesians 6:12). The “mutant locusts” of Revelation 9 are symbolic of spiritual forces that torment those who cling to idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood (Revelation 9:20), but are restrained from ultimately destroying humanity. We explore how:- Biblical justice begins with God, not human sociology (Psalm 89:14; Micah 6:8; Romans 3:10–26) - The deepest problem in the world is the human heart without Christ (Jeremiah 17:9; Mark 7:20–23; Ephesians 2:1–5) - Every sin must be answered for—either at the cross or in final judgment (Romans 6:23; Hebrews 9:27–28; 2 Corinthians 5:21) - The cross is the only true refuge from God's just judgment and the ultimate expression of His mercy (Romans 5:6–11; 1 Peter 3:18; John 3:16–18) We also confront two common but unbiblical assumptions:1. “If things get bad enough, people will turn to God.” Revelation 9 shows the opposite—judgment alone does not produce repentance. People often *worship the very powers that harm them* (Revelation 9:20; cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:9–12).2. “If I get forceful or angry enough, I can make people change.” If God's perfect judgment does not convert by itself, our outrage won't either (James 1:19–20; 2 Timothy 2:24–26). The church's calling is not to coerce but to bear faithful witness. The turning point comes in Revelation 11: after the church bears costly, faithful witness in the power of the Spirit (Revelation 11:3–7), judgment falls and “the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven” (Revelation 11:13). The same phrase “the rest” used in Revelation 9:20 is now connected to repentance and worship. The difference? The *witness* of the church. In this message, we consider:- The seal of God on the foreheads of His people (Revelation 7:1–4; 9:4) and what true spiritual protection means (John 10:27–29; Romans 8:31–39) - How idols promise life but pay out death “on a payment plan” (Romans 1:24–32; Galatians 6:7–8) - Why God restrains judgment so that His mercy might triumph (James 2:13; Ezekiel 18:23, 32) - How ordinary obedience, forgiveness, truth-telling, and endurance are actually acts of cosmic warfare (Romans 12:17–21; Revelation 12:11; Ephesians 6:10–18)Key Scriptures referenced throughout the sermon include:- Revelation 8–9; 10–11 - Exodus 7–12 - Romans 1–3; 6; 12–13 - 2 Peter 3:9
Today we start a new series called “Got Joy?”, with Pastor Kuulei teaching on Paul's letter to the Philippians. At a time of imprisonment and possible death, Paul was able to address the church of Philippi with JOY, LOVE, and ENCOURAGEMENT. He knew not only where His JOY came from, but he chose the POSTURE OF JOY, in spite of his circumstances.Key Scriptures:2 Peter 1:3, 2 Corinthians 1:8, Philippians 1:1-11, Nehemiah 8:10, Psalm 16:11, Galatians 5:22-23, James 1:2-4, John 15:11, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Romans 15:13
What does it truly mean to be fully known by God — and how should that shape the way we live today? In this powerful and hope-filled message, Pastor Marion Dalton unpacks the deep biblical truth found in 1 Corinthians 13:12: “For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.” This sermon explores how faith for heaven brings peace in the present, strength in suffering, and clarity for eternity. In a world filled with uncertainty, grief, unanswered questions, and spiritual confusion, this message reminds us that God already knows us completely — and one day, we will see Him face to face. Heaven is not the loss of identity, but the fulfillment of who God created us to be. In this message, you'll discover: What it means to truly see God face to face How fully God knows your thoughts, fears, doubts, and struggles Why you won't lose your identity in heaven What heaven will really be like according to Scripture How living with eternal perspective changes how we love, forgive, and trust Why Jesus is the key to being fully known How to develop faith for heaven that brings peace right now If you've ever wrestled with questions about eternity, fear of death, grief, suffering, or God's plan, this message will strengthen your faith and renew your hope.
In Week 6 of our Familiar Stranger series, Pastor Jason Britt addresses a critical but often overlooked reality: the Holy Spirit is not the only spirit at work in our time. In a world saturated with noise, misinformation, and competing "truths," the gift of discernment is more vital for the believer than ever before. Drawing from 1 John 4, this message explores how to "test the spirits" to see whether they are from God. Following Jesus isn't just about rejecting obvious evil; it's about recognizing the subtle replacements, reductions, and reshapings of Jesus that permeate our modern culture. If you've felt overwhelmed by the "spirit of the age," this message will help you find confidence in the Spirit of Truth who dwells within you.
Kingdom GraceThe Empowerment That Changed The World. There is a moment of clarity—a revelation—that comes to the Christian when they realize that their salvation was not merely to get them into heaven, but to get heaven into them and into the earth through them. The early church conquered a demon-infested world without political power or military might. They had Kingdom grace—God's empowerment working with them as they operated in faith. But a larg part of the modern church has forgotten this truth, reducing grace to a salvation ticket while darkness reasserts itself across nations. There is an urgent need today for ministers who have no interest in being polite caretakers of the church's managed decline. This teaching breaks down the three movements of grace that enabled the church to transform civilization: 1) Preparatory Grace (God positioning you before the work), 2) Operational Grace (God's power flowing as you do the work), and 3) Completing Grace (God's faithfulness to finish what He started).Grace isn't passive—it's the throne we boldly approach to receive empowerment for Kingdom work. We must Learn how the grace of God works WITH us as we work in faith, and why grace flows to those in the game, not those on the sidelines. This is Biblical Christianity. This is how we bring back the church that changed the world.Key Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:10, Hebrews 4:16, 2 Corinthians 9:8, Ephesians 2:10, Colossians 1:29#ChristIsKingLiveLikeIt#KingdomGrace #BiblicalTeaching #ChristianEmpowerment #KingdomTheology #ChurchHistory

Most of us use faith for today's needs — breakthrough, healing, provision, and direction. But Scripture calls believers to something deeper: a faith anchored in eternity. In this powerful and eye-opening message, Pastor Marion Dalton teaches how developing eternal faith transforms how we handle pressure, suffering, fear, loss, and uncertainty. Using Scripture from 2 Corinthians 4, Hebrews 11, John 14, Colossians 3, and Romans 8, this sermon reveals how focusing on the unseen, eternal realm unlocks peace, confidence, purpose, and spiritual endurance. When heaven becomes real, temporary problems lose their control.

Have you ever watched other people's faith stories and wondered, “Why don't I experience God like that?” In this message, we talk about what it really means to experience God, not just learn about Him. It's easy to live off borrowed faith—sermons, books, testimonies—while never stepping into a living, personal relationship with Jesus ourselves. But Christianity was never meant to be a snow globe: beautiful to look at, but never entered. Through Scripture, real-life stories, and practical teaching, this sermon challenges us to stop watching from the outside and begin experiencing the Christian life firsthand. In this message, you'll discover: What it means to truly experience Jesus, not just study Him Why life change only happens when faith becomes personal How everyday obedience carries eternal impact What parts of your life today will matter for eternity? How loving God, loving people, making disciples, and walking faithfully shape an eternal legacy If you're hungry for more than routine religion—if you want your own stories of God's power, presence, and transformation—this message is for you.

Episode Overview We are living in a time of global upheaval, moral inversion, and spiritual confusion. Scripture warned us that such days would come—but it also prepared us for them. In Part 1 of our Spiritual Warfare Series, we lay the foundation by answering a critical question: What is spiritual warfare—from a biblical, Messianic, Torah‑rooted perspective? This episode introduces the reality of an unseen cosmic conflict between the Kingdom of Light and the Kingdom of Darkness, a war that has been raging since the dawn of creation and one in which every believer is already involved—whether they realize it or not. Contrary to popular Christian culture, spiritual warfare is not emotionalism, not fear‑based obsession, and not optional. It is covenantal, scriptural, and central to our calling as the redeemed of YHWH in these last days.
Forgiveness is one of the most beautiful commands in Scripture — and one of the hardest to live out. In this message, we walk through Genesis 42–45 and discover how Joseph models biblical forgiveness, wise discernment, and God‑honoring restoration. This sermon explores how forgiveness can be present in the heart long before trust is restored in a relationship. Joseph shows us that forgiveness is not pretending sin didn't happen, not ignoring patterns of harm, and not rushing reconciliation. Instead, it is choosing mercy while discerning whether repentance and transformation are truly present. If you've ever struggled with forgiveness, trust, or healing from past wounds, this message will speak deeply to your heart. CPXL Season 2 • Episode 4Genesis 25:12–18 – The Account of Ishmael's LineAs the book of Genesis continues to narrow from nations to one family, Scripture pauses to record the generations of Ishmael—Abraham's son who was not part of the covenant line, yet still deeply seen and blessed by God.In this episode of CPXL, we explore Genesis 25:12–18 and what Ishmael's genealogy reveals about God's faithfulness to His promises. Though Isaac carries the covenant forward, God does not forget Ishmael. In this message from our Apostles series, we take a deep biblical look at Bartholomew, also known as Nathanael, and what his life teaches us about discernment, honesty, and faith grounded in Scripture. Though often overlooked, Nathanael's encounter with Jesus in John 1:43–51 reveals a powerful example of how believers are called to test the spirits, guard truth, and follow Christ with sincerity.Jesus describes Nathanael as “an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit,” showing us that God values authentic hearts over polished religion. This teaching addresses the growing need for biblical discernment in an age of false teaching, spiritual deception, and emotional Christianity.

Turn the Other Cheek" or "Buy a Sword"? - https://youtu.be/tEK8VoV9txUWe are witnessing an increase of violence around the world targeting Christians, Churches, and increasing cases of attacks and invasions during live worship services. These wicked attacks carried out by the godless where innocent men, women, and children are being assaulted, terrorized, and even slaughtered in cold blood require a response to the biblical rights of Christians affected by violence.Does the Bible call Christians to absolute pacifism, or does the Scripture allow for self-defense?In today's study, we will address these three questions:1 - What does the biblical admonishment ‘turn the other cheek' mean?2 - What does the biblical admonishment ‘buy a sword' mean?3 - Does the Bible allow the Christian to engage in self-defense?Key Scriptures used in today's teaching: Matthew 5:38-39Other Scriptures referenced: Matthew 26:51-52; Luke 22:36; Exodus 22:2; 1 John 5:11-13If you prayed with Tiff, click here https://lostlamb.org/ and let him know! What if God is not distant, disappointed, or angry—but deeply loving and always near? In this powerful, Spirit-led conversation, Petia sits down with Melanie Cox to unpack the true nature of God, how to find peace in the midst of tribulation, and what it really means to live the full, abundant life Jesus promised. In this deeply moving and Spirit-led episode of Made for Impact, Petia welcomes back beloved guest Melanie Cox for one of the most powerful conversations ever shared on the show. This episode is an invitation to re-learn the true nature of God—not as distant, punishing, or unreachable, but as a loving Father who meets us in the storm, grows us through pressure, and calls us into life to the full. Together, Petia and Melanie explore why suffering does not mean God has left you, how spiritual pressure produces purpose, and why understanding who you are in Christ changes everything. In this episode, you'll hear about: • What Jesus really meant when He said He came to give us life to the full (John 10:10) • Why tribulation is not punishment, but a refining process that produces spiritual fruit • How pressure and hardship are often signs of God's formation—not His absence • The difference between asking “Why God?” and “What are You growing in me?” • How the enemy plants doubt through questions—and how identity in Christ uproots it • Why peace is a choice, even when storms are guaranteed • Understanding God as a loving Father, especially for those with fear-based faith or father wounds • How to recognize the voice of God as your Shepherd and why intimacy matters • Biblical insight into free will, consequences, repentance, and spiritual authority • Why mothers are called to be chain breakers—and how spiritual patterns can be stopped • How returning to Scripture, worship, and daily intimacy restores clarity and peace This episode is for the woman who feels tired, discouraged, confused, or distant from God—and is ready to come home to truth, peace, identity, and the abundant life Jesus promised. Key Scriptures referenced include John 10:10, John 16:33, 1 Kings 19, Revelation 3, Psalm 139, and Hebrews 14:14. Final encouragement: If you are in a storm, God has not abandoned you. If you feel pressed, He is producing something eternal. If you feel lost, the Shepherd is calling your name. Know who you are in Christ. Know the true nature of God. And move toward the life to the full He designed for you. Connect with Melanie Cox on Instagram and find her book on Amazon. All links are available in the show notes. Genesis 41 is often preached as Joseph's triumphant rise from prison to palace, but Scripture tells a deeper and more faithful story. In this message, “Preserving the Seed, Not Promoting the Man,” we walk verse-by-verse through Genesis 41 to uncover God's covenant purpose behind Joseph's suffering, exaltation, and continued affliction.Rather than a prosperity narrative, Genesis 41 reveals how God sovereignly used Joseph's hardship to preserve the covenant line of Israel, protect the seed of Abraham, and ultimately prepare the way for Judah and Christ. Joseph's promotion was not the goal. Preservation was.
Genesis 10:1–11:26 | Nations, Babel, and God's DirectionIn this episode of CPXL, Andy Addis and Eric Franklin are joined by Ryan Booth for the first three-pastor conversation of Season 2 as they walk through Genesis 10–11—the account of Noah's sons, the spread of nations, and the Tower of Babel.Genesis 10 shows how humanity repopulates the earth after the flood, forming diverse nations and families. Genesis 11 reveals how pride and misplaced unity fracture that diversity at Babel. Together, these chapters remind us that while humanity multiplies, moves, and sometimes rebels, God remains sovereignly at work—directing history toward His redemptive purposes. The conversation explores why the “Table of Nations” matters, what Babel teaches us about pride and unity, and how God's scattering is not only judgment, but also loving direction. The episode closes by pointing forward to the genealogy of Shem and the emergence of Abram—evidence that God's plan continues even through a fractured world. In This Episode:Why Genesis 10 matters more than we thinkUnity, diversity, and God's design for the nationsThe heart issue behind the Tower of BabelHow God redirects humanity without abandoning His promiseThe hopeful line leading toward AbramKey Scriptures:Genesis 10:1–32Genesis 11:1–26Genesis 1:28Deuteronomy 32:8Acts 17:26–27Hebrews 11:8–12As Genesis shifts from nations to one family, we're invited to see how God works through history—and through ours.CPXL exists to equip and encourage Everyday Missionaries to Love God, Grow Up, Serve All, and Live Sent.Follow along on the Reading Plan with us: crosspointchurch.com/readingplanAbout CrossPoint ChurchCrossPoint is one church in many places, striving to reach the state of Kansas by catalyzing God's people to be Everyday Missionaries. What changes when we realize God isn't visiting—He's staying? In this teaching, we discover the profound shift from Old Covenant to New Covenant relationship: we're no longer seeking a distant God, but partnering with One who lives within us. Prayer becomes not something we do toward God, but something we do with Him.**Key Scriptures:**+ 2 Corinthians 5:17. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come."+ Hebrews 13:5. "I will never leave you nor forsake you."+ Hebrews 7:25. "He always lives to make intercession for them."**Want to explore more?**
Pornography and lust are no longer hidden struggles—they are some of the most common and destructive temptations facing people today. Studies show the average child is exposed to pornography by age 12, and millions of adults quietly wrestle with shame, secrecy, and addiction. But Scripture reminds us of this powerful truth: “God is faithful, and He will always provide a way out.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)In this message, “Escaping the Trap,” we confront sexual temptation honestly and biblically while offering real hope for freedom through Jesus Christ. Drawing from the life of Job, who made a covenant with his eyes (Job 31:1), we learn how to think ahead, predecide righteousness, and break free from the enemy's cycle of sin.Jesus raised the standard when He taught that lust begins in the heart (Matthew 5:27–28), but He also offers grace, healing, and transformation. This sermon explains:Why temptation itself is not sin—and what to do when it comesHow pornography and lust damage the mind, heart, and relationshipsThe devil's temptation cycle: trigger, desire, rationalization, action, and shameWhy secrecy strengthens sin—and honesty weakens itHow to flee sexual immorality, not just fight it (1 Corinthians 6:18)How God renews the mind and heals the heart over time (Romans 12:2)Why pursuing a life with Jesus is the ultimate path to freedomThis message is for anyone who feels trapped, tired, ashamed, or discouraged. Whether your struggle is pornography, lust, sexual immorality, or another hidden sin, God's grace is stronger. You were made for love, intimacy, and freedom—not counterfeit pleasure.Don't settle for lust. Don't stay stuck in shame.Freedom is possible. Healing is real. And Jesus always provides a way out.

These resolutions, and if kept, will certainly improve the quality of your life, however they all share one common flaw: That flaw is, they all are dependent upon the strength and discipline of our human nature, which the Scripture reveals is weak. (Matthew 26:41)This inherent human weakness is why the majority of us fail to consistently keep our lofty resolutions, though we initially mean well. These 5 resolutions I am going to share with you today ensure you are not dependent upon your strength alone, because all 5 are undergirded by the promise of God's strength and supernatural intervention.1 - Read your Bible daily!2 - Pray Daily!3 - Faithfully honor God's house!4 - Become a generous steward.5 - Make Jesus Christ Your Lord and Savior!Key Scriptures used in today's teaching: Acts 2:42-47Other Scriptures referenced: Matthew 26:41; Philippians 4:13; Romans 12:2; Psalm 1:2-3; Proverbs 3:5-6; Luke 5:16; Hebrews 10:25; Genesis 1:27; John 3:16; Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; Psalm 112:9; John 10:10; Romans 3:23; Acts 16:3Unless otherwise noted, most Scripture will be read from the New Living Translation (NLT) Bible. If you prayed with Tiff, click here https://lostlamb.org/ and let him know! What is an evangelical, really—and is evangelicalism actually biblical? In this episode, Joel from The Think Institute makes a robust, Scripture-packed case that evangelicalism (rightly defined) is not a shallow, American invention but a deeply biblical, historically rooted movement. He walks through the history, four core pillars, and nine key Bible passages that together challenge Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholics, and others to take a fresh look at evangelical faith. Joel also shares how The Think Institute exists to help Christian men become the worldview leaders their families and churches need, and why he's stepping into the gap as a Protestant apologist engaging Eastern Orthodox critics and online “ortho-bros.”In This Episode You'll Hear About:Why the word evangelical has fallen on hard times—and why Joel refuses to abandon it. How evangelicalism is a movement, not a single denomination, and why Joel calls it “the most biblical form of Christianity” (without claiming to be the one true church). The historical roots of modern evangelicalismThe four pillars of evangelicalism Joel's response to the claim that there are few strong Protestant apologists engaging Eastern Orthodoxy—plus why Joel happily says, “I'm your huckleberry.” Live Q&A highlights, including questions about repentance, hell, worship, and whether Jesus is the only one who ascended into heaven.Key Scriptures in This EpisodeUse these passages to follow along or study later:Acts 17:10–12 – The Bereans and noble-minded Scripture testing 2 Timothy 3:16–17 – Scripture as God-breathed and sufficient Romans 3:23–25 – Christ as our propitiation1 Corinthians 15:3–4 – “Of first importance”: Christ died, was buried, and was raised Ezekiel 36:26–27 – New heart and new SpiritJohn 3:3–7 – “You must be born again”Acts 3:19 – “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out” Matthew 28:18–20 – The Great Commission and discipling the nations James 1:27 – Pure and undefiled religion before GodNext Steps for Christian MenJoin the Hammer & Anvil Society – Get weekly cohort calls, courses, challenges, and brotherhood to become the worldview leader your family and church need.

Audio taken from the live teaching "Will Those In Hell Suffer Forever? What Is Annihilationism?" - https://youtu.be/d52spH8ReWoRecently, well known actor, author, and outspoken Christian, Kirk Cameron, stirred up a theological hornet's nest after he revealed he no longer believes in a Hell that includes eternal conscious torment.I certainly am not judging Kirk Cameron. The question asked is, “will those in hell consciously suffer forever, or will they finally be destroyed and cease to exist?”In this study we will answer 3 questions:1 - What is the teaching of annihilationism?2 - What is Hell's ultimate purpose?3 - Will those in Hell suffer endlessly, or temporarily?Key Scriptures used in today's teaching: Matthew 25:41-46 NLTOther Scriptures referenced: Hebrews 2:1-3; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 14:11; Revelation 20:10; John 3:16 Unless otherwise noted, most Scripture will be read from the New Living Translation (NLT) Bible. If you prayed with Tiff, click here https://lostlamb.org/ and let him know! You've been praying for clarity… but the real battle isn't around you — it's inside your ears. Trauma has a way of becoming a soundtrack: a quiet, constant melody that tells you you're not enough, you're not loved, you're not chosen. And if you don't confront it, you'll confuse the noise of your past with the voice of your Father. In this message, you'll learn how to recognize the wrong soundtrack, silence the lies, and finally hear God's voice with confidence, peace, and identity. God calls you royal. Trauma calls you broken. This message shows you how to choose the right voice. Key Scriptures: 1 Peter 2:9, Genesis 2–3, Philippians 4:6–7
