In this thought-provoking episode of Made for Impact, host Petia Kolibova Burns dives into the controversial world of human design—a system mixing astrology, I Ching, Kabbalah, and chakras—and why she no longer puts her trust in it. Once a tool she embraced in her personal and professional life, Petia now re-examines its origins and spiritual implications through the lens of her Christian faith. She candidly shares how she was first drawn in, what made human design so appealing, and the moment she began to question whether this system was truly serving her—or subtly pulling her away from God. What You'll Learn in This Episode The real origins of human design (and why its mystical roots matter). • How Petia went from skeptic to believer to Christ-led truth seeker. • Why human design, astrology, enneagram, and similar tools may feel like solutions—but leave a deeper spiritual void. • The danger of using external systems as “temporary fixes” instead of pursuing lasting fulfillment in God. • Questions every woman of faith should ask herself before relying on new age practices. Key Scriptures & Reflections The Bible's caution against idolatry and misplaced trust. • Why seeking identity and purpose outside of God can become a subtle form of bondage. Let's Continue the Conversation ✨ Have you used human design or similar tools? What was your experience? •

What do you do when life feels stuck in the shadows? In this message from Psalm 23, Pastor Clayton Bell reminds us that the Shepherd's presence is just as real in the valleys as it is in the green pastures. While we often celebrate God's blessings, it's in the darkest valleys that His rod and staff protect and comfort us. Sometimes the shadows come from our own choices. Other times, from brokenness in the world around us. Either way, the Shepherd doesn't abandon us—He walks with us.In this sermon, you'll learn:- Why God leads us to places of rest and refreshment- What it means to walk through—not get stuck in—the valley of shadows- How to recognize when God is guiding, protecting, or pulling us back on track- Why the presence of God changes our fear into courage- How to draw closer to the Shepherd when the shadows feel overwhelmingKey Scriptures:- Psalm 23:2–4 — “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me…”- Psalm 121:1–2 — “Where does my help come from? Because of the social media wildfire of rapture predictions for September 23rd, 2025, I have had a multitude of questions come my way in recent weeks.First of all, the doctrine of the rapture is a biblical belief that both living and dead believers will be suddenly “caught up” or “snatched away” from earth to meet Jesus Christ in the air at the time of his return.Despite the growing unlettered attack upon the doctrine of the rapture, the majority of early church fathers wrote about escaping the tribulation and being saved from coming wrath, which is an early rudimentary form of rapture theology. In our time together today, I would like to answer 3 questions often asked on this subject.1 - Why have so many predicted the Rapture will take place on September 23rd, 2025?2 - Does the Bible teach the Rapture will take place on a Jewish holy day?3 - What does the Bible say about date setting? ———————————————————Key Scriptures for today's teaching: Text: Matthew 24:30-36Other scriptures used in this teaching: Mark 13:32-33; Acts 1:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2Unless otherwise noted, most Scripture will be read from the New Living Translation (NLT) Bible. If you prayed with Tiff, click here https://lostlamb.org/ and let him know! Audio is taken from the original live recording - https://youtu.be/cMGYm4g1zSMFor centuries, Christians have debated the question: is water baptism required for salvation? Some traditions hold it as essential, while others see it as an outward sign of an inward faith. This topic is consequential because it touches on the heart of the gospel, specifically, how a person is made right with God. Because of its importance, we must carefully seek understanding, not from tradition or denominational opinion, but from the Word of God itself.1 - Why do some churches and denominations teach that water baptism is required for salvation?2 - Which churches and denominations teach water baptism is required for salvation?3 - Does the Bible teach water baptism is required for salvation?Key Scriptures for today's teaching: 1 John 5:1-13Unless otherwise noted, most Scripture will be from the NLT, the New Living TranslationIf you prayed with Tiff, click here https://lostlamb.org/ and let him know! Growth doesn't happen by accident, it's a choice. In this message, we're reminded that spiritual and personal growth must be intentional. Just like a tree only grows when it's planted, nurtured, and watered, our lives grow when we stay rooted in God's Word, embrace challenges, and make daily decisions to pursue Him.We don't drift into growth, we drift into complacency.Choose today to take steps of faith and let God grow you deeper and stronger in Him.Key Scriptures:2 Peter 3:18Joshua 24:15Matthew 4:4James 1:2-4

Send us a textHi. When the Apostle Paul wrote 1 Corinthians 15, he tackled one of the biggest—and most hotly debated—questions in the Christian faith: What really happens after we die? For the Corinthians, the issue wasn't whether Jesus rose from the dead—they believed that. The problem was the resurrection of our bodies. Many thought it was impossible, undesirable, or downright absurd. In this episode, we explore:Why the Old Testament often paints such a bleak picture of life after death (and where it offers surprising glimmers of hope). How Jewish and Greek worldviews shaped the Corinthians' confusion about resurrection.Paul's radically different vision: that in Christ, you will still be you, body and soul—made new, whole, and fit for eternity. Why the Christian hope is not the “basic model” of resurrection, but the “deluxe package” paid for in full by Jesus. With a mix of history and Scripture, we'll see that Paul's teaching isn't just about winning theological arguments—it's about living today with the confidence that your future in Christ is secure, physical, and unimaginably glorious.Key Scriptures:1 Corinthians 15:1–11Psalms 6:5; 30:9; 88:10–12; 16:9–11; 73:24Isaiah 38:18Ecclesiastes 9:4–5, 10Job 19:25–27So, listen if you've ever wondered:Will I be “me” in heaven? Why do Christians believe in a physical resurrection? What happens to my body after I die?How do ancient Jewish and Greek ideas still shape how people think about death today?Support the showTo listen to my monthly church history podcast, subscribe at; https://thehistoryofthechristianchurch.buzzsprout.com For an ad-free version of my podcasts plus the opportunity to enjoy hours of exclusive content and two bonus episodes a month whilst also helping keep the Bible Project Daily Podcast free for listeners everywhere support me at;|PatreonSupport me to continue making great content for listeners everywhere.https://thebibleproject.buzzsprout.com

Do you want to hear God's voice more clearly?Collin Hoke shares how walking in step with the Holy Spirit brings clarity, focus, and transformation. Using Paul's words in Galatians 5, we'll discover that hearing God isn't just about spiritual techniques—it's about aligning our daily rhythm to His beat. DIY—Your Faith | Week 1 | How to PrayThere are two types of people: those who DIY everything and those who DIY nothing. Some of us take pride in doing everything ourselves—whether it's fixing a leaky faucet, repairing a car, or even tackling major home renovations. With countless YouTube tutorials at our fingertips, it seems like anything can be DIY'd. Then there are those who hear the phrase “don't try this at home” and take it to heart, applying it to every aspect of life. When it comes to faith, we often treat it the same way. Some of us try to figure it out all on our own, while others rely entirely on someone else—pastors, mentors, or teachers—to guide every step. But here's the truth: God has already given us everything we need—the resources, wisdom, power, and the ultimate instruction manual, His Word—to DIY our faith. Our relationship with Jesus is personal, and we are called to take ownership of it. Key Scriptures: - James 1:22 (NIV) — Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. - Matthew 7:24 (NIV) — Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. You are not called to figure it all out alone, but you are called to take action. Over the next several weeks, we'll explore how to DIY our faith—how to pray, read the Bible, study Scripture, and apply its truths to our daily lives. And the best news? In this final episode of our Prophecy series, Pastor Alvin bridges the gap between our current reality and God's call for our lives. We're getting honest about carnality, the state of being ruled by our flesh, and how it clouds our ability to hear from God. We'll also discover why conviction is a gift—it's the first step in starting a war against the flesh so we can prophesy clearly. Ask yourself, "Am I carnal?" and let God show you the way forward. Today we have our regional Pastor, Pete Akins, join us to speak about our story. The end of our story is more important than the beginning. King Hezekiah was known throughout most of His reign as the most obedient King in Judah since David… But he succumbed to pride in the end and will be forever known as the King who paved the way for the Babylonian Exile. How can we live out our Christianity in such a way that we ensure that the ending of our story brings glory to Jesus. Key Scriptures:2 Chronicles 29:3-8, Isaiah 38:2-3, 2 Kings 20:16-19
Audio taken from video: https://youtu.be/pAXpOIvrynwAs we begin, I am well aware that many of our viewers came to know the Lord later in life, and may have not had the full opportunity to raise your children in the faith. However, many of you are at an age where you have a second opportunity as grandparents to play a role in influencing both your children and grandchildren by the example you provide by your faith now. Please understand that I am aware that there are a multitude of family dynamics represented in the thousands of households that are represented in our viewers. It is my sincere desire to offer biblical principals to guide you going forward, and in no way do I desire to offer judgment where you have fallen short, or add to the guilt you may feel for shortcomings in your parenting efforts. In today's study, here are the 5 most important things you can do to nurture faith in your children, and grandchildren:1 - Model Genuine Christian Faith2 - Build An Altar In Your Home3 - Create Biblical Habits And Faith Rhythms4 - Encourage Questions And Dialogue5 - Connect Your Family To A Biblical Church With A Godly PastorKey Scriptures for today's teaching: 2 Timothy 1:5-7Other Scriptures in this teaching: Titus 2:7; Genesis 13; Deuteronomy 6:5-9; 2 Timothy 3:14-15; Proverbs 22:6; 1 Peter 3:15-16; Deuteronomy 31:12-13; Hebrews 10:25If you prayed with Tiff, click here https://lostlamb.org/ and let him know! “What am I supposed to do with my life?”It's one of the biggest and most common questions young people wrestle with. In this episode of The Youth Room, Jordan and Daniel break down what it really means to be called by God—and why your purpose starts with who you are, not just what you do.

What do we mean when we mention "the age of accountability"? That concept infers that children are not held accountable by God for their sins until they reach a certain age. Is the concept of an age of accountability biblical? Does the Bible define an “age of innocence”?In our Bible study today I would like to answer these three questions.1 - Where is the "age of accountability" mentioned in the Scripture?2 - Why do many Christians claim the age of accountability as 12-13 years old?3 - What happens to children who die before they are old enough to understand the Gospel?-------------------Key Scriptures for today's teaching: Matthew 18:1-6Other Scriptures in this teaching: Isaiah 7:14-15; Deuteronomy 1:37-39; 2 Samuel 12:19-23; Unless otherwise noted, most Scripture will be from the NLT, the New Living TranslationIf you prayed with Tiff, click here https://lostlamb.org/ and let him know! Date: July 20, 2025 In this episode of the Overcomer series, we're talking about one of the most essential parts of your spiritual armor—the Breastplate of Righteousness. Straight from Ephesians 6, this message will challenge and encourage you to guard your heart with the righteousness that comes from God. What does righteousness really mean? It's not about being perfect. It's about being positionally made right with God through faith in Jesus (justification), and then choosing to practically live right through obedience and devotion (sanctification). When you wear the breastplate, you protect yourself from shame, temptation, and the lies of the enemy—and you're reminded that your heart belongs to Christ.
Is it God's voice you're hearing—or just background noise? In a world full of voices, how do you make sure you're tuned in to the right one?In this message, Pastor Clayton walks through John 8 to show us how to listen for the voice of Jesus—and why so many miss it even while calling themselves believers. Jesus said, “Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God.” (John 8:47)But what if you're not listening? Or never truly belonged to Him in the first place? In this message, you'll learn:- Why belief alone doesn't equal discipleship- How cultural Christianity can dull your spiritual hearing- Why obedience opens your ears to God's voice- What it means to “listen gladly”- How to know if you truly belong to God—or just assumed you did Key Scriptures:John 8:31 — “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings…”John 8:44–47 — “You can't hear me…”John 8:36 — “So if the Son sets you free…”Search Keywords:Hearing God's voice, how to know if you're saved, spiritual deafness, John 8 explained, Jesus' true disciples, listen to God gladly, does God still speak, discipleship vs belief, following Jesus, cultural Christianity, why can't I hear Gods Don't just assume you're close to God—listen for His voice, and respond in obedience. We focused on spiritual protection, the power of prayer, and Christ's conquest over the world system. Together, we explored our role in spiritual warfare, emphasizing prayer, unity, and walking in faith. Key Scriptures like Ephesians 6 and 2 Corinthians 10 reminded us of the armor we have in Christ and His authority over Satan's system. We also shared personal reflections, discussed family, and lifted up a hospital-related prayer request.

And when you combine it with stillness and mindfulness, it becomes a superpower for clarity, healing, and divine direction. Whether you're facing a crossroads, navigating uncertainty, or just yearning to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd in a world that's loud and overwhelming—this episode is for you.

On the subject of our age in heaven, proper scholarship does not allow us to be authoritative with a precise age. However, the scriptures provide some clues that are worth a closer look. For example, when we read the account of the creation of Adam, and then Eve, it appears from the scriptures that they were created with a discernible age and in the prime of life. In today's study, ‘How Old Will We Be In Heaven', we will answer these 5 questions:1 - Will We Be 33 Years Old Like Jesus In Heaven?2 - Will There Be Children In Heaven?3 - Do The Old Become Young In Heaven?4 - What Will We Be Like In Heaven?5 - How Can You Be Sure You Will Enter Heaven?—————------------------Key Scriptures for today's teaching: 1 John 3:1-3Other Scriptures in this study: 2 Samuel 12:22-23; Isaiah 11:6-9; 1 Corinthians 15:42-44; 1 Corinthians 2:9; Unless otherwise noted, most Scripture will be from the NLT, the New Living TranslationIf you prayed with Tiff, click here https://lostlamb.org/ and let him know!
