Texas A&M vs. South Carolina College Football Pick Prediction 11/2/2024 by Tony T. Texas A&M at South Carolina 7:30PM ET—Texas A&M improved to 7-1 following their 38-23 home victory to LSU. The Aggies gained 376 yards with 242 rushing for 4.9 yards a carry. On defense they allowed 429 yards with 405 passing on 50 attempts. Marcel Reed completed 2 of 2 passes for 70 yards. He rushed for 62 yards and three touchdowns. Connor Weigman was benched and is splitting reps with Reed this week in practice. Weigman was 6 of 18 for 64 yards last week. South Carolina sits at 4-3 after their 35-9 road win at Oklahoma. The Gamecocks put up 254 yards with 74 rushing for 1.8 yards a carry. On defense they allowed 281 yards to the Sooners with 53 rushing on 41 carries. LaNorris Sellers hit 16 of 24 for 175 yards with a touchdown.

LSU vs. Texas A&M College Football Pick Prediction 10/26/2024 by Tony T. LSU at Texas A&M 7:30PM ET—LSU improved to 6-1 following their 34-10 road victory at Arkansas. The Tigers gained 393 yards with 158 rushing for 4.3 yards a carry. On defense held the Razorbacks to 277 yards with 38 rushing for 2 yards per run. Garrett Nussmeier completed 23 of 34 for 233 yards. Texas A&M is 6-1 after their 34-24 road win at Mississippi St. The Aggies put up 353 yards with 136 rushing for 3.7 yards a carry. Defensively they allowed 377 yards to the Bulldogs with 242 passing on 41 attempts. Connor Weigman went 15 of 25 for 217 yards with a touchdown and interception.

LSU visits Texas A&M at 6:30 Central on ABC in one of the more important college football games of Week 9. Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview the matchups and give predictions. Topics include: Neither team has lost since close Week 1 defeats. LSU has won its only two road contests (Arkansas, South Carolina). LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier is a sleeper candidate for SEC Player of the Year. The Tigers keep finding weapons to help Nussmeier. Aaron Anderson and Kyren Lacy are one of the league's best receiving duos, but CJ Daniels stepped up and led the Tigers in receiving in the win at Arkansas. Running back Caden Durham eclipsed 100 yards rushing at South Carolina. The Tigers' offensive line, headlined by future NFL tackles Emory Jones Jr. and Will Campbell, have allowed two sacks all season. But A&M has several studs on defense, led by Nick Scourton, Shemar Turner and Shemar Stewart, who can challenge LSU. Connor Weigman threw two interceptions vs. one touchdown at Mississippi State, but was good enough to win, plus, Marcel Reed is there as insurance. Le'Veon Moss continues to be one of the SEC's best runners for one of the country's best rushing attacks. LSU's Whit Weeks has led one of the league' most surprising defenses, one that sacks the quarterback on 9.9% of passing plays. However, the Aggies give up sacks just 4.0% of the time, the SEC's third-best rate. Chase Robinson and Chris Lee power rank the SEC's 16 football teams heading into Week 9. Talking points include: There are still some indicators that Alabama's a playoff-caliber team; what's getting in the Crimson Tide's way. Arkansas has played its last three opponents toe-to-toe, but turnovers have cost the Razorbacks twice. Auburn found another unique way to lose on Saturday. Florida is getting better on both sides of the ball with freshman DJ Lagway leading the way. Georgia played close to its potential for the first time since the Clemson game and showed what it can do at Texas. Kentucky can't find an offense and that was a big reason it gave up 48 points at Florida. Has anyone played better than LSU since opening week? Ole Miss has some dominant underlying stats but has whiffed in big games. Still, don't count the Rebels out of the playoff chase. Mississippi State quarterback Michael Van Buren has to be at or near the top of the list for SEC Freshman of the Year. Missouri's not been great but the 6-1 Tigers still have all their preseason goals in front of them. Oklahoma's disastrous offensive performance led to the firing of offensive coordinator Seth Littrell. South Carolina's fortunes go as turnover margin goes. That went the Gamecocks' way in a rout of Oklahoma. Tennessee's offense was a first-half disaster for the third-straight game. The Vols have won two of those, which speaks to how good their defense is. Texas A&M didn't get great play from Connor Weigman but was good enough to win at Mississippi State. Vanderbilt scored a ho-hum win over Ball State and is ranked in the regular season for the first time since 2008. Texas A&M vs. Mississippi St College Football Pick Prediction 10/19/2024 by Tony T. Texas A&M at Mississippi St 4:15PM ET— Texas A&M improved to 5-1 following their 41-10 home win to Missouri. The Aggies gained 512 yards with 236 rushing for 6.6 yards a carry. On defense they held the Tigers with 254 yards with 68 rushing for 3.3 yards per run. Connor Weigman completed 18 of 22 for 276 yards. Mississippi St fell to 1-5 with their 41-31 road defeat at Georgia. The Bulldogs produced 385 yards with 79 rushing for 3 yards a carry. Defensively they surrendered 605 yards to Georgia with 459 passing on 48 attempts Michael Van Buren hit 20 of 37 for 306 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.

The Tigers gained 442 yards with 216 rushing for 5.4 yards per carry. Defensively they held the Commodores to 324 yards with 146 rushing for 4.1 yards a carry. Brady Cook hit 23 of 37 for 226 yards with two touchdowns. Texas A&M improved to 4-1 after their 21-17 neutral site win to Arkansas. The Aggies produced 297 yards with 134 rushing for 3.5 yards a carry. On defense they allowed 379 yards to the Razorbacks with 279 passing on 41 attempts. Connor Weigman has missed the past three games with a shoulder injury. Marcel Reed went 11 of 22 for 163 yards with two touchdowns

Bowling Green at Texas A&M—Bowling Green is 1-1 after their 34-27 road defeat at Penn St. The Falcons 375 yards with 121 rushing for 4.5 yards per run. On defense they allowed 438 yards to the Nittany Lions with 234 rushing for 6.3 yards per run. Connor Bazelak hit 25 of 39 for 254 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Texas A&M sits at 2-1 with their 33-20 road win at Florida. The Aggies posted 488 yards with 310 rushing for 5.6 yards a carry. On defense they allowed 301 yards to Florida with 52 rushing for 2.1 yards per rush. Connor Weigman was injured and missed the game. He is questionable with no timetable back. Marcel Reed completed 11 of 17 for 178 yards and two touchdowns.

Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview Texas A&M vs. Notre Dame in their opening game of the 2024 college football season and share their predictions for the matchup at Kyle Field in College Station. Texas A&M quarterback Connor Weigman returns from injury and should have plenty of help from returning players Rueben Owens and Moose Muhammad, plus, receiver transfers Cyrus Allen (Louisiana Tech), Jabre Barber (Troy) and tight end Tre Watson (Fresno State). The Aggies rebuilt the offensive line around left-side returnees Trey Zuhn III and Chase Bisontis, supplementing them with Kolinu'u Fauulu (Utah) and Ar'maj Reed-Adams (Kansas). Texas A&M builds its defense around a fearsome front seven that includes transfers Nic Scourton (Purdue) and Scooby Williams (Florida) in addition to returnees Shemar Turner and a defensive backfield that includes All-Southeastern Conference cornerback candidate Tyreek Chappell. Notre Dame adds Elko's former pupil, Riley Leonard, at quarterback, and a new offensive coordinator (though not new to Notre Dame) in Mike Denbock. The Fighting Irish lost three starters on the offensive line but have plenty of skill in Jeremiyah Love, Jadarian Price, Mitchell Evans, Kris Mitchell and Beaux Colins. Coordinator Al Golden leads a Notre Dame defense that should be one of the nation's best thanks to All-American candidates Xavier Watts and Howard Cross III, plus, defensive lineman Rylie Mills.
