#191: David Pollack is a college football analyst, author, speaker, and host of the Family Goals Podcast.A former NFL player and University of Georgia standout, David joined ESPN in 2009 as a college football analyst and was quickly elevated to College GameDay.Pollack was also a contributor to ESPN's daily college football news show College Football Live and several additional shows throughout the season. He was previously an analyst on ESPN's Thursday Night College Football and co-host of Palmer & Pollack. He started his broadcasting career in 2008 hosting a sports radio talk show in Atlanta for 790 The Zone.As a defensive end at the University of Georgia, he was just the second Bulldog to be named a three-time All-American. The other being Hershel Walker. During his time at UGA he was awarded the 2002 & 2004 SEC Player of the Year honors, 2003 & 2004 Ted Hendricks Award, 2004 the Lombardi Award, Lott Trophy, & SEC Defensive Player of the Year Award.In the 2005 NFL Draft, he was a first round draft pick taken 17th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals. LSU visits Texas A&M at 6:30 Central on ABC in one of the more important college football games of Week 9. Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview the matchups and give predictions. Topics include: Neither team has lost since close Week 1 defeats. LSU has won its only two road contests (Arkansas, South Carolina). LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier is a sleeper candidate for SEC Player of the Year. The Tigers keep finding weapons to help Nussmeier. Aaron Anderson and Kyren Lacy are one of the league's best receiving duos, but CJ Daniels stepped up and led the Tigers in receiving in the win at Arkansas. Running back Caden Durham eclipsed 100 yards rushing at South Carolina. The Tigers' offensive line, headlined by future NFL tackles Emory Jones Jr. and Will Campbell, have allowed two sacks all season. But A&M has several studs on defense, led by Nick Scourton, Shemar Turner and Shemar Stewart, who can challenge LSU. Connor Weigman threw two interceptions vs. one touchdown at Mississippi State, but was good enough to win, plus, Marcel Reed is there as insurance. Le'Veon Moss continues to be one of the SEC's best runners for one of the country's best rushing attacks. LSU's Whit Weeks has led one of the league' most surprising defenses, one that sacks the quarterback on 9.9% of passing plays. However, the Aggies give up sacks just 4.0% of the time, the SEC's third-best rate. Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview Vanderbilt's trip to Kentucky. Topics include: Vanderbilt's offense, which utilizes a lot of option game and things you don't typically see, is a headache to defend as Alabama found out in a stunning 40-34 upset last week. Quarterback Diego Pavia makes it all happen, and should be on the list of consideration for SEC Player of the Year as we near the midseason mark. The Commodores have turned it over just one time in five games. But it's strength-on-strength as Kentucky's defense, featuring Deone Walker, De'Eryk Jackson, J.J. Weaver and Max Harrison, is one of the league's best. Hairston had a par of pick-6s when the teams met in Nashville last year. Vanderbilt's defense struggles to cover athletic receivers and the Wildcats have three of them in Ja'Mori Maclin, Barion Brown and Dane Key. Talented quarterback Brock Vandagriff struggled early but looked better in the upset of Ole Miss, and made a huge play down the stretch that was the key to the upset. Vanderbilt won the last time it was in Lexington though Kentucky won decisively in Nashville last season. As an athlete, Priscilla played at the University of Georgia and earned 1st team All-Conference for all four years, including SEC Freshman of the Year and SEC Player of the Year. She also earned 1st Team All-America honors her junior and senior years at UGA. She went on to play on the USA National team, USA World University Games and professionally in Europe. In 2006, she was inducted into the prestigious Georgia Athletics Circle of Honor for excellence in representing her sport and the University. As a coach, she has coached at every level from high school to NCAA DI. Tallman is a Mental Performance Coach and Consultant to collegiate and professional athletes; helping them navigate and overcome performance blocks on the court as well as facilitating important breakthroughs off the court due to the challenges they face performing at an elite level. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from The University of Georgia and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University. She has authored two mental performance and wellness resources for athletes and sports teams: “30 Day Champions” Journal, and "30 Day Return to Play" Journal. "30 Day Champions" was studied and researched by graduate students from The College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University in Spring, 2022 and has been used by over 1,500 athletes, coaches and parents. Michelle Moultrie is a professional softball player and a member of the 2020 USA Olympic softball team. She played college softball at the University of Florida and in 2012 was named SEC Player of the Year. She was named Third-Team All-American her junior year and First-Team All-American her senior year in helping the Gators to three Women's College World Series appearances in her four seasons. In 2022, she was inducted into the Florida Gators Hall of Fame. She became a member of the USA Women's National Softball Team in 2011 and a decade later, was a member of the 2020 silver medal-winning USA Olympic softball team (played in 2021). Currently, Michelle is a part of the OKC Spark softball team that will begin play June 15th as part of the Women's Professional Fastpitch League.
