The big question that's hanging over all of us right now is one that very few people want to tackle head-on. Jeffrey A. Tucker asks what others won't: Are we facing lockdowns 2.0? If the ruling class starts feeling froggy and decides to implement mandates again, the Tenth Amendment Center has the proper response--Refuse to comply and nullify. Addiction can take a lot of different forms. Paul Rosenberg makes a solid but uncomfortable case that the most common addiction in the 21st Century is our addiction to algorithms that abuse us. Article of the Day: So much of the information being beamed at us around the clock is steeped in industrial-strength fear. Donald Jeffries reminds us that we have nothing to fear but fear porn itself. Sponsors: Monticello College Life Saving Food TMCP Nation Climbing Upward Quilt & Sew

Yes! You are in for a little Thanksgiving Treat! Levi (9) and Daulton (9) and sweet little Savannah (6) help bring in some smiles and laughter into this episode. Whether you are listening to this in November or July. This is a Priceless perspective for everyday. Here is your "Play of the Day"So sweet! Thank you Savannah and Daulton and Levi for sharing some light and laughter and perspective on what is a darker Thanksgiving for many.Phil 4: 6-8, that is one of my favorite gotos in trying to find thanks in more challenging times. You lift what you don't like. Find the things, no matter how little on what is worthy to give thanks. If you do that enough, you will experience God's peace. That is not my promise. That is God's.Ending on a song note, I wrestled with this one. This song was firmly in my head this morning. I needed to hear it. You need to hear this too. When times are challenging, it can be hard to give thanks. Learn from Daulton and Levi and Savannah. Find the positives. Give thanks. Lift what you don't like. This broken planet is tough. We are all terminal. Our test is to make the most of our life here for someday we will give an account (check Romans 14:12). Sooner or later you will find the victory. Hint, the ultimate victory is not on this broken planet. Your choice. Most of you ask why and I answer back with a logical question back. For your lifetime, would you rather have humans that choose to love you and want to be with you or would you rather have someone programmed to love you? A DEEP question to ponder, for now here is "See a Victory" by Elevation Worship, if you dig please give them some love and add it to your "I need better perspective of this broken planet list". Now go, find the simple things in life to give thanks like Savannah, and Levi and Daulton. Lift the negatives. Experience God's peace...
It’s getting spooky in here! As we head into Halloween weekend, there’s lots to get excited about. The first Associate Caller of the Day was Bell at Store 1298 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Bell rang in (get it?) to give a shoutout to her night shift coworkers. It’s a No Format Friday, so the guys decided, hey, why not have a second Associate Caller of the Day? So #2 was Joe at Store 838 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Would you go to a Komodo dragon theme park? There’s one being built in Indonesia – talk about scary! Congratulations to Money Center associate Vickie from Store 1371 Columbus, Indiana. She just celebrated 23 years with Walmart. The associates in Rock Hill, South Carolina, would like to take a moment to honor the life of Ms. Lee, who recently passed away. And no one loves spooky szn more than Amber, so Top 5 at 5 featured her Halloween hits. A Halloween-themed Friday Feud and more on this spine-tingling Friday.
Text of the Day: So whatever you say or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law that sets you free. There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you. (James 2:12-13) Reflection Questions: 1 — How do you serve mercy and compassion to your fellow human being? 2 —How can you get involved in the various ministries of compassion and mercy at your church? 3 —Do you spend more time in worship or compassion? Text of the Day: So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. (James 1:16-17) Reflection Questions: 1 — What do you have in your life and in your character that is good? 2 —Where did those things come from? Who is the author of the good things in your life? 3 —What can you do to encourage someone else to recognize the goodness in them today, and also how can you point them to who that goodness came from? Episode 7- Black MetalsBlack. Black in your kitchen. Black in your bathroom. It’s all about black metals… Coming up of Episode 7 of South Metro Denver Real Estate Report**Music** Recording from South Denver where the real estate market fluctuates as much as our weather this is South Metro Denver Real Estate Report and I am your host Joy Fraser licensed broker and owner of Colorado Luxury Houses powered by Keller Williams. This is Episode 7- Black Metals!7 Day Real Estate Report for South Metro Denver- The boundaries for these stats are Arapahoe Rd. Santa Fe at an angle to include Roxbourgh. The south is to include Castle Rock, Franktown, and Elizabeth. Then on the east we go up through the country to include Parker and South Aurora. -237 Attached Properties on the market which is up from the last report. The least expensive is back to the condo in Parker at $207,900 (1/1 773 sq ft which is $36k more than the least expensive from last week. The most expensive is the same new construction home in Castle Pines priced at $890k (4/3 2835 sqft.). The HOA is $419/mo. The median price for homes on the market has made a significant jump from $369,900 to $384,608 and that is because a builder recently listed quite a few new construction townhouses in Castle Pines for sale. 37 went UC in last 7 days, which a few less than what is was last week and typical b/c of the MLK Jr Holiday. 10 closed in last 7 days. And of all of the sold properties in the last 6 months the median sales price was $320,800. -972 Detached Properties on the market which is up 4 more properties from last weeks report. And for the detached properties there is no change for anything! I will do a quick recap though. The least expensive is the same one it’s been for a few weeks in Parker. Priced at $310,000 it’s 2/1 841 sqft. And the most expensive home and 2nd most expensive home are still the same. Priced at $12,900,000 and $4.9 million both in Parker. The 3rd most expensive home takes us out of Parker and into Castle Pines Village. It’s 5/9 12,054 sqft built in 2008. The median price of all the homes on the market also made an almost $20k jump to $619,950 from $599,993. And again, just like in the attached properties, builders have started to list more new construction homes in the MLS. 121 went UC in last 7 days, which is consistent from last week. 53 sold in last 7 days and the holiday would account for that being down by 48 properties from last week. And of all of the sold properties in the last 6 months the median sale price was $495,000.What’s Hot!Recently I was charged with the task of picking out a new faucet for our house and I really wanted to go gold… I love every gold faucet I see but my kitchen just isn’t in a place to handle that style. Enter the black faucet. I like to think of a black as golds less flashy cousin that still turns heads, makes a statement, and is more than chrome, nickel, and oil rubbed bronze. My kitchen can totally handle the statement that the black faucet brings to the rooms and I bet that yours can too. That’s what’s hot! Tip of the Day-So the tip of the day becomes a question… Can I mix metals? Yep. All of the resources I found said, go ahead and mix those metals. If you wanted to do a gold or black something like a light, faucet, anything really and have a different metal it’s a-okay and go ahead and mix them up. So go out and pick that statement metal. That’s today’s Quick Tip of the Day.Truth or Fail-How did you get your very first client? Don’t forget to play Would you rather on Instragram tomorrow just follow me @realtorjoyfraser. And if you or any of your friends or family have any real estate needs I am ready to help them visit my website at coloradoluxuryhouses.comThanks for listening to South Metro Denver Real Estate Report with Joy Fraser. The primary purpose of the podcast is to carry the message of hope to those who are suffering from addiction. My guests and I talk about their addiction stories, what happened, what it was like and what a life of sobriety looks like now. Through these conversations, I’m looking to uncover the new ideas, changes in perspective, and the daily habits or routines that lead to healing & long term recovery. Today’s quote comes from The Five minute journal. The quote is “ To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson. Isn’t that a great quote? It reminds me of what I hear in the rooms, To thine own self be true. I feel like we all experience external pressures to fill the small limited roles society wants us to play. It’s up to us to get quiet, listen to own intuition and follow our hearts. So I’ve been writing in this journal since 4/23/16 after hearing about it from the Tim Ferriss podcast. If you’ve never heard of the 5 minute journal, their tag line is: The simplest thing you can do to start your day happier. Helps you focus on the positive and become more mindful. If you have a hard time journaling, this is a brilliant tool because it’s short and effective. It has two sections, one to fill out in the morning and one for the evening. The morning section has 3 lines for things you are grateful for, than 3 things that would make today great, and a blank space for you to write a positive affirmation. The second section is to be filled out at the end of the day and it has space to list 3 amazing things that happened and space for the final question “How could I have made things better”. This is a really simple way to train your brain to focus on the positive and develop a healthy morning routine that can contribute to your emotional sobriety. You can get a copy through the link below: (affiliate link) The Five Minute Journal: A Happier You in 5 Minutes a Day So we decided to do something different with the interview today. I have been getting requests to interview my husband Bob, but I just couldn’t wrap my head around how to do that one. So I invited a former guest, and my dear friend Gabriel to do the interview. He suggested he interview us together, so that’s what we did! Gabriel did a great job! We all had a lot of fun and I hope you enjoy it. With love and gratitude, Arlina
