This is a special podcast with my friend Eddy McKnight. Both us of had the chance to go to E3 2014 today for day 2. We discuss the long lines, the cleanliness, the food…oh wait its E3. In this we talk about a couple games we played like Titan Fall, Sunset Overdrive, Smash Brothers and a few others. We also discussed some overall thoughts of the event and past E3's. I didn't get too much time to talk with him because he had to leave but we also talked briefly about Edge of Tomorrow and A Million Ways to Die in The West. I hope you like. Enjoy. And Remember
Welcome to E3 for this episode of Kinda Geeky. This takes place after the first day of E3 2014. Sorry if we are a little scrabbled. But it was a long fun day filled with some awesome games. Lillie and I got to bot play Sunset Overdrive and Evolve on the first day. I got to place the monster (Kraken) and it was awesome. I did end up losing but killed each player at least one time and 6 total kills. AWESOME (Can't wait to buy it). We also played a couple other games and talked about our overall experience. To follow our normal routine we talked about a few movies like Edge of Tomorrow and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and more. Also well as a couple shows like the possibility of Community returning on Hulu, Game of Thrones and Orange is the New Black. Finally we are joining by my friend Eddy to finish us up. He's part continues on the next episode for day two of E3 2014. Enjoy and remember…Stay Kinda Geeky

Welcome back to The House of Mario! This is your encore with a focus on evergreen Nintendo topics! This episode is all about my favourite Nintendo Direct, the E3 2014 Digital Presentation! During this time the Wii U had been on the market for 18 months and Nintendo were struggling to sell consoles. The unique gameplay opportunities the Wii U gamepad offered games wasn't resonating with gamers and the newly launched PS4 was quickly taking the industry by storm. Though, through all of this, Nintendo still had a hardcore fanbase, and during E3 2014, Nintendo leaned into inside jokes and references that were catered to fans and funny gifable moments to share online. While Nintendo were never able to salvage the Wii U, this presentation is a perfect example of a company knowing their fans and customers. If that interests you, come on in! We didn’t do any E3 coverage on the blog this year, but seeing as I’m now rooming with former Ani-Gamers Podcast co-host Mitch Dyer (a.k.a. MitchyD), I figured “why not get Mitch on to talk about E3?” Topics include Nintendo goggles, the “difficulty” of adding women to video games, space simulation games both real (No Man’s Sky) and vapor (Infinity), and Smash Bros: MUGEN Edition. Show notes and links after the break. DIRECT DOWNLOAD – RSS Feed – iTunes – Send us Feedback! – More episodes (Runtime: 52 minutes) Opening Song: “Read Or Die Theme” by Taku Iwasaki (our old opening music from back when Mitch co-hosted!) Our guest is IGN Editor and former Ani-Gamers Podcast co-host Mitch Dyer. We talk about E3 2014, the huge annual video game trade show in Los Angeles. Nintendo showed off Super Smash Bros. (new characters: Palutena, Mii Fighter, and Pac-Man), a new open-world Legend of Zelda game, Toad’s Treasure Tracker, and Splatoon. Mitch’s favorite game at the show was Rainbow Six: Siege, the demo of which sparked an outrage about female representation in games. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Unity has four playable co-op characters, all of whom are dudes, prompting MORE gender representation controversy. Mitch liked Battlefield: Hardline, a.k.a. “Battlefield: Cops & Robbers.” No Man’s Sky is a cool procedurally generated space exploration game. Infinity is a still-in-development game (not shown at E3, just something Evan likes) with a similar concept, but a more realistic art style. We loop back and chat about Super Smash Bros. again. In the outro we name drop Star Wars: Battlefront and Mirror’s Edge 2, two games that EA teased but didn’t have full trailers for. Check out Mitch’s stuff at IGN (IGN Arena is his new MOBA podcast) and Rebel FM. Otaku USA Magazine: Evan and Ink wrote articles for the new issue (cover is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure). Evan wrote about Yuyushiki and Red Data Girl (that one was supposed to be in the last issue) and Ink wrote about Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren’t They? (it’s credited as “Evan Minto” but it’s really Ink) Twitter: Ani-Gamers, Evan, Mitch Email us at podcast@anigamers.com! Ending Song: “WORLD END (Instrumental)” by FLOW (our old ending music!)
E3 is over and the 'Cocks have some thoughts. But not before Angry Rob talks about his wedding catering experience and how truly awful it was. Kevin is not giving up hope that his married co worker still wants him. And finally just how gullible is Nick? Well he was Gamecocked in the finest fashion by of all people Kevin! They dive into the Destiny beta and talk a little bit more about Battlefield Hardline. Finally they cover their standout games from E3! Music: Intro "Only" by Kris Keyser Break "lover I don't Have to Love" by Bright Eyes Outro "Love In a Trashcan" by The Ravonettes

This week the 'Cocks are laser focused and talking E3! Recording right after the Sony E3 press conference they talk about the XBOX, EA, Ubi Soft and Sony press conferences. They go over their highlights, some things that they didn't like. Did the XBOX focus on games, games, games take that concept a little too far? What games stuck out to them? They try to answer the question, why is XBOX the best place to play video games. And go over some of the games shown, including the new Crackdown game titles Crackdown, The Witcher 3 and others. They also pontificate over the number of times the word Kinect was mentioned and the number of times it was shown. Ea made it clear that there will be a new Mass Effect game as well as a brand new IP from Bioware, do the 'Cocks even care? Angry Rob has thoughts on FIFA 15. Madden impresses. The Battlefield Hardline beta breaks PSN then breaks Angry Rob's heart. Ubi Impresses with their showing of strong games. So much so that the boys have a hard picking the one game they liked most from Ubi. Handsome Rob and Nick sell Angry Rob on The Division. Angry Rob poops his pants over the new Rainbow Six game. Kevin predictably gushes over AC Unity. Sony closes out the show. Not to be outdone, they had a few tricks up their sleeve as well. But did they do enough to impress the 'Cocks? YouTube is coming, one of the 'Cocks thinks that will be the biggest thing out of this year's E3. Project Beast gets a real name. No Man's Sky, thoroughly impresses all of the 'Cocks. The Last Guardian still doesn't get shown. And yes, the new Uncharted ends the show and gets a name. Music: Intro "Only" by Kris Keyser Outro "Summer Holidays vs Punk Routine" by The Refused

Episode 20 of the Racial Diversity Gaming hour is here, and with it the most racially diverse gaming cast on the Internet today! Join host Glenn "The Commissioner" Gordon, KGB Garri Bagdasarov, The Original Ben Stirling, and The Shapeshifter, Fraser Miller as they talk about the latest events in gaming. The most anticipated new IP in history, Watch_Dogs, finally launched on May 27, breaking industry records for a new IP by selling an enormous amount of copies in its first week of public existence. As many gamers are discovering, however, Ubisoft did not manage to make the game perfect on the first try. What went wrong? Sony and Microsoft both plan to launch the PS4 and Xbox One in China--but with strict content rules and a society relatively inexperienced with video games, is the largest country in the world really worth their effort? The Wii U has finally earned a ray of light, outselling the PS4 in Japan and significantly increased interest around the world. How has its latest offering, Mario Kart 8, helped the struggling Wii U? All of this and more makes the latest episode of RDGH. Enjoy! Our intro music this week is a vocal remix of the Rainbow Road track from Mario Kart 64. It was made by talented remixers Benjamin Briggs and Level 99 from OCremix.org. To hear the rest of the song and download it and many more amazing video game remixes for free, visit OCremix.org. Also, what happened to Ubisoft's new IP, Watch_Dogs, since its delay? In addition, E3 is coming up, and though it's still a few months away there's always a good time to talk about what might be there and what might be in store for gamers in the very near future. If you have any suggestions or hopes for E3, leave them in the comments at PSU.com and/or tweet them with the hashtag #RDGH! The Commissioner will read your replies next week on episode 8.
