The Giants blew a game in EPIC fashion as the defense gave up 33 points in the fourth quarter alone. Big Blue became the first team in NFL history to lead by 18 points with six minutes to go and lose. Oh, and the FG kicker missed two extra points. Epic, EPIC, loss. Jerry back and starts and has more sounds of the Bengals beating the Steelers on a last second FG. The Blue Jays evened their series with the Mariners 2-2 as Vlad had a homer.
Brian Cashman fired back at Jeter and A-Rod, defending Boone and insisting the Yankees aren't the only team using analytics, while Islanders rookie chaos unfolds living with Matt and Sydney Martin. Jerry's update featured the Bengals' last-second FG win over the Steelers and Vlad powering the Blue Jays to even their series 2-2 with the Mariners. Plus, we're shaking up NFL picks after a terrible run, Yankees' rotation for next year looks stacked, and Boomer weighs in on keeping Pete Alonso with the Mets without breaking the bank.
Week 6 kicked off with a bang as the Bengals stunned the Steelers on a last-second FG, with Flacco and Rodgers lighting up the field—though Rodgers lost it when an offensive lineman tackled him mid-celebration. Gio says defenses are so weak right now anyone can win, while the Broncos struggled after flying back from London to face a rested Giants. In MLB, Jerry highlighted Kafka raving about Jaxson Dart, Cashman firing back at Jeter's digs, the Blue Jays evened their series 2-2 with Vlad homering, and the Dodgers keep winning without Ohtani. Bonus chaos: a Pittsburgh talk show host vowed a nipple piercing if the Steelers lost… and they did.
The week in sports kicked off with chaos and drama across the NFL and MLB. The Bengals stunned the Steelers on a last-second FG, with Flacco and Rodgers lighting it up, though Rodgers lost it when an offensive lineman tackled him mid-celebration. Gio slammed the league's weak defenses, warning anyone can beat anyone, while the Broncos struggled returning from London. MLB action saw the Blue Jays even their series 2-2 with a Vlad homer, the Dodgers keep winning without Ohtani, and Scherzer refusing to leave the mound as the Brewers fall 3-0. Off the field, Cashman fired back at Jeter and A-Rod's digs at the Yankees, the Mets debate Pete Alonso's future. Jets face pressure this week with Justin Fields needing to deliver against the Panthers, and NFL QBs once again flop in New York only to shine elsewhere, much to Boomer's amusement that the Giants gave Dart time to watch before playing. The week closed with explosive leaked audio of Belichick getting micromanaged by Jordon Hudson and trashing the crew, Al & Eddie dropping a new Cam Skattebo song, and our revamped Week 7 NFL picks ready to shake things up.
Gio slammed the Jets' 2025 mess, Boomer defended Campbell and Payton, and a London loss got roasted. Jerry recapped Bears' FG win and Falcons' blowout, while Benigno wants a Jets break, Roberts dreams of Shedeur Sanders, and Tomlin can't believe the Browns' Flacco trade. Belichick shut down buyout talk, and Aaron Glenn's rocky first season got dissected.
Jerry kicked off his first update with the Bears clawing past the Commanders after Jayden Daniels' brutal late fumble set up the game-winning FG. Then came the roar from Atlanta, where Bijon Robinson and the Falcons steamrolled the Bills. And in Detroit, Aaron Glenn finally fessed up — Justin Fields took a step back and botched a Hail Mary chance before halftime.
Jerry's back with a whirlwind update: Jayden Daniels' costly fumble sets up a Bears game-winning FG, the Falcons steamroll the Bills, and Aaron Glenn says it's all a work in progress. Jerry praises some standout defenders, Matt Rhule gushes over Penn State, and we even got a wild Brewers/Dodgers double play—cleared up nicely by Ron Darling.
Jerry's back with the chaos: Bears steal it on a late FG, Falcons crush the Bills, and Joe Benigno says he needs a Jets break. Evan Roberts dreams of Shedeur Sanders joining the Jets, calling their mess a “circus,” while Mike Tomlin reels at the Browns trading Joe Flacco in-division. Meanwhile, Belichick shuts down buyout rumors.
Jerry wraps the day with Bears' last-second FG win over the Commanders. Glenn sees silver linings in the Broncos loss and refuses to bench Fields for one bad game. Moment of the Day: “The rich keep getting richer, you bougie bastard.”
Big-market Dodgers get the Manfred boost, and Boomer calls them flawless, while Seattle crushes timely homers the Yankees couldn't. Callers slam Aaron Glenn's decisions but see hope for the Giants in a wide-open NFC East. Jerry recaps Bears' last-second FG over the Commanders; Glenn sees progress vs. the Broncos and won't bench Fields. Moment of the Day: “The rich keep getting richer, you bougie bastard.” Show closes with wild AI talk — Jake Paul cross-dressing, and fake celeb videos of Mr. Rogers chatting with Tupac.
Monday night chaos set the tone as both the Bills and Commanders fell, and the Titans fired Brian Callahan — the season's first coaching casualty. The Giants head to Denver in a wide-open NFC East, with Boomer blasting Aaron Glenn for leaving Justin Fields in and warning Jaxson Dart faces a tough test. Jerry recapped Bears' last-second FG win and Falcons' blowout of the Bills, while Glenn admits Fields stumbled but sees progress. MLB drama hit hard: Mariners lead 2-0, Dodgers dominate with Blake Snell shining, and a rare 8-6-2 double play dazzles. Boomer doubts the Giants' playoff chances, callers debate the NFC East and Jets chaos, and the hour wraps with Aaron Glenn's rough season, Manfred's Dodgers favoritism, Seattle homers, “Moment of the Day” bougie burns, and AI gone wild — Jake Paul cross-dressing and fake Mr. Rogers chatting with Tupac. NFL, MLB, and AI madness collide in one whirlwind New York sports hour.
Nebraska led 10-0 early and 24-14 at one point in the 2nd quarter, yet another poor 3rd quarter performance (like we saw vs. Michigan State) gave the Terrapins a 31-24 lead at one point, before Nebraska tacked on a FG and then the go-ahead TD with 1:08 to go in the game Dylan Raiola had 3 interceptions in the game—one a pick 6 to make it 31-24 Maryland---but battled back with a big 4th quarter…and let's make sure we give a MASSIVE shoutout to Emmett Johnson (21 carries, 176 yds; 2 rec, 20 yds) Show Sponsored by SANDHILLS GLOBALOur Sponsors:* Check out Avocado Green Mattress: https://avocadogreenmattress.com* Check out Hims: https://hims.com/EARLYBREAK* Check out Infinite Epigenetics: https://infiniteepigenetics.com/EARLYBREAK* Check out Washington Red Raspberries: https://redrazz.orgAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
0:00 - A win is a win is a win, but man...The Broncos looked UGLY yesterday in London. They almost lost to a New York Jets team that had -10 passing yards. NEGATIVE. NET. PASSING. YARDS. And yet, the Jets could've won it with a walkoff FG. This is the angriest we've been about a win in a long time. 16:59 - Bo Nix was wheelin' and dealin' in the first half yesterday, then Sean Payton completely abandoned the passing game in the 2nd half. What was that, Sean? Now, I know we've been clamoring for the Broncos to run the ball more...but it ultimately comes down to the flow. Go with the flow. If the pass game is working, call pass plays! If the pass isn't working, call run plays! Don't overthink this, Sean. 36:32 - Death, taxes, and the Colorado Avalanche losing to the Dallas Stars. Saturday was no exception. And of COURSE Mikko looked good in the game, as well. Jared Bednar had a great zinger about the Stars in his postgame presser, and MacKinnon wasn't happy with the home fans booing.
Things Discussed: Happy Yankees Elimination Day to all who celebrate, and Guardians Elimination Week to the celebrants. What do we talk about when we're off-air? K-Pop. Pass protection vs Wisconsin: Michigan thought they could do it—Brian and Sam/PFF disagree whether there were pass pro issues from the tackles. There were stunt issues on the young guards, but 15% pressure rate is fine, thought for the most part they handled the DEs pretty well. Offensive design was great. Stick and move: Wisconsin was ready to defend stretch and Michigan hit them with a stretch beater for a that big early gain. We like that they set up explosives because Haynes can pay them off. Michigan will also test man coverage with back shoulder fades, something they refused to do under Harbaugh. Right thing to do with McCulley, and you got one from Marsh. Things holding them back are youth: Bryce can't check out of a call like he will when he's not a true freshman, Efobi (eff-Oh-bee) and Sprague have mistakes but can hack it physically. Really impressed with Guarnera (g'wahr-NAYR-ah). Haynes for Heisman or Bredeson? Bredeson holding call was garbage. Michigan won't get a holding call this year; it's a problem across college football. Defense: I'm not mad. Fire blitzes were the way to attack the power run game and wound up getting a 2023 game: 1 TD drive, 1 FG drive and a whole lot of nothing. They gave up some chunks when they didn't get a guy covering where they blitzed from. Don't do that against USC—Maiva has 12 yards/dropback when blitzed. USC: They run our system but they don't have the DL to play how Michigan does. Offense is #1 to SP+ but only defense they've faced is Illinois. Think Michigan can push them around on offense, need to get to the QB with four on defense. Illinois ran the football. Are they playing to spill? Sometimes—it depends on the call. Barham isn't holding the edge, but sometimes maybe he's not supposed to. Maybe play spill? You've got speed at LB for it. Want to see less rotation on the DL. Derrick Moore should not be getting the same number of snaps as Cam Brandt; he should be on the field 67% to 75% of the time. Don't want to see Brandt over Guy against USC. Also a big drop between Benny/Pierce and the rest of the DTs. They will get their gaps, but they won't get 2 gaps every play. Rod Moore—not just the big plays (killed the screen and the reverse). He created the interception. He got guys lined up. It was like 2023. Hillman could play less recklessly, but he's still valuable. Brandyn Hillman is a dangerous safety. Jayden Sanders is a revelation. Doesn't make the same mistake twice, has the mind for Rod Moore stuff.

As part of a “ClutchFans Live” postgame show, Ben DuBose and Dave Hardisty recap Houston's 140-127 victory over Utah on Wednesday night. The Rockets are now 2-0 in preseason play.Topics include an electric Rockets debut for Kevin Durant, who had 20 points (70% FG) on elite efficiency in only 23 minutes. The discussion also hits on Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith Jr., Amen Thompson, and Reed Sheppard, who all showed promising signs — perhaps due in large part to the attention drawn by KD.Defensively, however, the Rockets gave up 20 made 3-pointers on nearly 45% shooting. Could Houston's identity be shifting to something more offense focused?Wednesday's show breaks it all down. Jeff Howe and CJ Vogel broke down Steve Sarkisian's final pregame press conference before Texas heads to Gainesville, and the vibes are clear: the hay is in the barn, and the Horns are locked in. Emmett Mosley's Debut? Sark was coy, but all signs point to the freshman WR making his Texas debut. His perimeter blocking and length could be a huge asset, especially paired with Ryan Wingo and Parker Livingstone. Offensive Explosives via Screens: Sark emphasized the value of perimeter blocking and WR screens. Against Sam Houston State, two screens went for 65 yards—“free money,” as Jeff called it. With Mosley in the mix, Texas can bait DBs to creep up, then strike deep with Arch Manning's elite deep ball. Remember: the 83-yard screen-and-go to Livingstone earlier this year is the blueprint. Weather in Gainesville: Forecast calls for rain and wind. Sark said Texas preps weekly with “wet ball” drills—QBs, RBs, and WRs practice with soaked footballs. Wind, though, is the X-factor—field position, kickoffs, and field goals could all be impacted. Expect more 4th-down aggression if conditions hurt kicking odds. Special Teams Update: Kicker Will Stone returns for kickoffs, meaning Mason Shipley won't have to double up. That frees Shipley to focus purely on FG accuracy—critical in a weather-affected, low-scoring slugfest. RB Situation: C.J. Baxter is doubtful. Tre Wisner should be back, but not for 30 carries. Enter Jerrick Gibson, who's back home in Gainesville. Sark praised him as a short-yardage hammer, but he'll need to protect the ball after learning lessons from earlier fumbles. Christian Clark may also see touches. Sark's Bigger Picture Philosophy: Asked about the grind of SEC play, Sark made headlines saying: “People have to wrap their heads around nine and three being a good season in college football right now.” He doesn't expect anyone to run the SEC table—what matters is getting into the playoff tournament, however you have to. Bottom Line: Texas isn't chasing style points in Gainesville. With a hostile crowd, tough weather, and SEC athletes on the other sideline, Sark's golden rule applies: never, ever apologize for winning a road game in the SEC. Just get out with the W.
Jerry kicked off with the sounds of doom in the Bronx—Grisham whiffing to seal the Yanks' loss, Boone and Cora chiming in after. Ohtani went deep as the Dodgers rolled, Skubal shoved for Detroit, and Joe Benigno lost his mind over Jets' special teams. Toss in Fangio on the FG craze and Saleh stumbling over his words, and you've got your morning mix of misery.
Acme Packing Co.'s Justis Mosqueda joins Wisconsin Sports Daily to break down why the Packers are struggling so much on Special teams, especially on returns & FG. Justis breaks down why Golden & Williams have become the KR/PR1s.

Daniel Jones is having a great season so far with the Colts. Sometimes it happens for guys in places where it would never happen in the place they originally were. A caller doesn't want Sauce Gardener to have the ‘Sauce' nickname anymore. We went over Daniel Jones' stats so far, which are very impressive. We took a bunch of calls from frustrated Giants fans. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Cris Collinsworth saying there's excitement in the Giants building about Jaxson Dart. Mike Francesa didn't like seeing Aaron Glenn dancing after the blocked FG the Jets returned for a TD. Francesa continued screaming about Glenn and the ‘same old Jets'. In the final segment of the hour, today is Al's birthday but CBS did not send food like they normally do. They didn't realize.
The Jets and Mets were losing at almost the exact same time yesterday. As the Bucs were coming back to win their game after the Jets blocked and returned a FG attempt, Francisco Alvarez was getting robbed of a HR. The Jets fell to 0-3 at the same time the Mets were falling out of the playoffs. Right now both of their Octobers mean nothing. That could change, but it's not looking great. Boomer said the major difference between them is the Jets are in a rebuild and the Mets spent a ton of money on their roster. Gio said the Mets do not deserve to make the playoffs. They are ‘consistently inconsistent'. Even if they back into the playoffs and lose, that's a bad scene. Aaron Glenn said after the game this isn't the same old Jets, but it is. C-Lo returned for an update and started with the sounds of Patrick Mahomes fumbling and then going and getting the ball back himself from a Giants' defender. Russell Wilson had trouble throwing deep against the Chiefs defense. Daboll kept getting questions after the game about a QB change. We heard the sounds of the Jets blocking a Bucs FG attempt that was returned for a TD and had the Jets believing they would win the game. Aaron Glenn was happy to see how the Jets played and said it's ‘not an instant coffee team' yet again. The Yankees beat the Orioles in extra innings as Ben Rice hit a grand slam. The Mets lost to the Nationals, whose center fielder made 2 great plays. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said the next QB to start has to be Jaxson Dart, not Jameis Winston. He's the last shot Daboll has to stick around. Boomer thinks the Falcons had to have the worst day, but the Rams loss had to be crushing. Once again there were issues with the tush-push even though the NFL told officials to officiate it properly.
Hour 1 The Giants lost again last night, as they are now 2-19 in their last 21 prime time games. When do you go to Jaxson Dart? The Chargers come to town next week and then they go to New Orleans. You can't throw him to the wolves against the Chargers. The Giants kicker was hurt again before the game even started. The Giants had first and goal and couldn't score and had the worst plays called. They never got Malik Nabers involved in that game. The Jets and Giants need to stop the bleeding by bringing in an established head coach. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update and starts with the sounds of the Giants not scoring with first and goal. Brian Daboll said he would be booing too after last night. Andy Reid commented on the fans booing the Giants. Aaron Glenn said this is not the same old Jets, and he hates that term. He said the team is fighters. The Mets lost their series against the Nationals, including yesterday when Alvarez was robbed of a HR in the ninth. In the final segment of the hour, golfer Patrick Cantlay put his hand behind his back in an effort to not high five fans, including children. How do we feel about that? Hour 2 Yesterday, both the Jets and Mets lost. The Jets fell to 0-3 while the Mets dropped out of playoff contention. Boomer noted the Jets are rebuilding, unlike the Mets who spent heavily. Gio believes the Mets are "consistently inconsistent" and don't deserve the playoffs. Aaron Glenn claimed this isn't the "same old Jets," despite their loss. C-Lo's update included Patrick Mahomes recovering his fumble and Russell Wilson struggling. Daboll faced questions about a QB change. The Jets' blocked FG return initially gave them hope. Aaron Glenn emphasized they're not an "instant coffee team." The Yankees won in extra innings with a Ben Rice grand slam, while the Mets lost to the Nationals. Gio advocated for Jaxson Dart as the next QB for the Giants, while Boomer felt the Falcons and Rams had crushing losses. Issues with the "tush-push" continued. Hour 3 Daniel Jones is having a great season so far with the Colts. Hour 4 The Giants are going to have to play Jaxson Dart because the fans are sick of saying the same thing year after year. Gio doesn't want him starting this week at home against the Chargers. He wants him starting the following week in New Orleans. Boomer's worried he won't be able to protect himself out there. Boomer also said he has some Baker Mayfield in him. C-Lo returns for an update and we hear Russell Wilson's second interception of the game. Aaron Glenn wants you to know they're not the ‘same old Jets'. He hates that term and doesn't know what it means. Frank The Tank went off on the Mets again as they lost to the Nationals. Evan Roberts is getting aroused about playoff scenarios. The Yankees beat the Orioles in extras as Ben Rice hit a grand slam in the tenth. The Moment of The Day: Mike Francesa doesn't want Aaron Glenn dancing. In the final segment of the show, we looked at the early betting lines for this coming weekend. Gio said starting Jameis Winston won't excite Giants fans the way starting Dart would.
Mike Francesa didn't like seeing Aaron Glenn dancing after the blocked FG the Jets returned for a TD. Francesa continued screaming about Glenn and the ‘same old Jets'.

Kicker Will Reichard kicked a franchise record 62-yard field goal right before the end of the first half. Running back Jordan Mason scored his first 2 rushing touchdowns on the season. Here we are again, 2 weeks into the NFL season and the Giants and Jets are both 0-2. The Giants played prevent defense which didn't make any sense with the Cowboys having one of the best kickers in the league. Cowboys fans should be concerned that they gave up all that offense to a Giants team that normally can't seem to score. Gio wonders why they put Jaxson Dart in for a few plays when Russell Wilson was having a career game. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and we heard the TD from Wilson to Nabers with :25 seconds to play. We also heard the call of the Cowboys game winning FG. We then heard the sounds of the Jets losing to the Bills as they couldn't stop James Cook. We heard Joe Burrow go down with a serious turf toe injury. Aaron Judge homered again, but the Yankees lost to the Red Sox. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer has a stat-pack stat regarding Daniel Jones and the Colts. Gio thought the Browns and Bears would cover this weekend and both got blown out.
