It's Day 2 of our annual Moser, Lombardi and Kane Drop Tournament! 64 drops from the past year (or so) all competing for eternal glory. Look...we understand that they made the AFC Championship game last year and they were 1 Bo Nix ankle away from making the Super Bowl. Consistently, the Nuggets struggle to close out winnable games down the stretch. It's a problem we've seen time and time again. It also hurts even more when you lose to the friggin Lakers and friggin LeBron James. It was such a tough loss that Vic couldn't sleep after. Why do we do this to ourselves?17:13 - The Avalanche lost in Winnipeg, which tends to happen EVERY TIME the Avalanche play in Winnipeg. And what happened to them this time? They got...sigh...they got Goalied. There's a reason Connor Connor Hellebuyck willed Team USA to a Gold Medal. Same guy. It's a frustrating loss, but it hurts even more because DALLAS WON'T STOP WINNING.35:51 - USA beat DR in the WBC...so many acronyms...and they're moving onto the Championship game! This tournament has been electric. In the Final, USA will face either Italy or Venezuela. Who do you wanna see? Brett says if USA plays Italy, then we win either way. Because all the players on Team Italy are from America.

The odds are stacked against the Nuggets. You might call it a good ol' "scheduled loss." These are the games that the Nuggets used to thrive in. This year, we're not sure. They've been very hit or miss with their backs against the wall. Even though Wemby may or may not play tonight (he's a gametime decision) it'll be a tough battle either way.

A win like that is a big deal. It was a full, complete team effort. Did MPJ's back pass a physical when the Nuggets wanted him? Did Peyton Manning's neck pass a physical when the Broncos wanted him? The Avs ended up on the wrong side of the whistle all night long. Now we're not alleging anything. BUT, Brett has a stat that suggests the lead official might have it out for the Avs.Oh, and it's not just us who thought Mack's penalty was egregious and unwarranted. The TNT crew agreed, including Tukka Rask. Y'know, the Boston Bruins goalie for like 15 years who has a Stanley Cup ring. 11:29 - Oh, by the way...the Broncos STILL haven't done anything in free agency. Is Brett allowed to panic yet? Oh, by the way...the Hartford Yard Goats are introducing a hotdog + donut monstrosity in honor of Taylor Swift Night at the ballpark. Oh, by the way...did you know yelling 90s songs at the top of your lungs is a good free throw distraction technique?25:40 - Bedsie was fired up last night about MacKinnon's penalty and ejection. Has his mind changed at all after a good night's sleep? Let's also pick his brain about the game as a whole, and get an injury update on guys like Landy and LOC. 

0:00 - Yesterday, the Avalanche lost to the Oilers at Ball Arena. In the loss, Nathan MacKinnon was assessed a game misconduct for goalie interference and ejected from the game late in the 2nd period. But he didn't intentionally slam into the goalie. He was very clearly shoved into him by Darnell Nurse. I guess the NHL and the Ref saw it differently. Horrible call by the officials, and Jared Bednar thought so as well.17:33 - The Ravens backed out of the Maxx Crosby trade because of a failed physical and sent him back to the Raiders. Then...the Ravens immediately signed Trey Hendrickson. This is fishy...very very fishy...Then, Team Italy beat Team USA in the World Baseball Classic and we're not sure what to do with our hands. Vic's stoked though.36:25 - Bam Adebayo scored 83 points last night, officially passing Kobe Bryant's 81-point game. The only player who's scored more points in a single game is Wilt the Stilt with 100. But here's the thing...Bam's 83 points feels like a sham. Bam's a scam.

Take that, DragonSlayer69. Brett's a little confused by the deal, though. The Nuggets got absolutely OBLITERATED and embarrassed by the New York Knickerbockers at Ball Arena on Friday night. They lost by 39 POINTS. Oof. Sean's presser felt very open and honest.
