Vann YouTube: Get Your Life Together, Girl TikTok: Get Your Life Together, Girl About our Guest: Danielle A. Vann has always had a passion, scratch that, thirst for understanding people's life stories and how those experiences are used as a benefit or detriment. Yet, it wasn't until 2016 that she turned inward and realized her own story needed to be examined and healed after a series of major life shifts, specifically the death of two parents and nearly losing her middle daughter to kidney failure within the span of forty-five days. Some call those shifts “the dark night of the soul,” as they do feel as if there is no light left in the world. However, Danielle calls them “the light of the soul” because often, it isn't until those challenging moments that the fullest expression of the person, the soul, shines! When Danielle set out to heal and fully thrive in the light of her soul, she longed for resources and support that felt intimately connected to her spirituality, mental, emotional, and physical well-being and path. Yet, no matter what she tried, outside of meditation, she continually felt disappointed by what she found. Finally, taking her healing into her own hands, she found her true calling. Now, as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, renowned Life Coach to women, Master-Level Advanced Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner, 100-hour Meditation Instructor through the IMMA, HeartMath Trauma-Sensitive Certified Practitioner, MSBR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) instructor, Sound Healing Therapist, Reiki Practitioner, Master-Level Emotional Intelligence Therapist, Emotional Freedom Tapping Practitioner, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) therapist, Positive Psychology practitioner, and trained in Energy Healing Medicine, Subconscious release, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Neuroscience, PTSD and Anxiety, Danielle has created the ultimate blueprint for getting your life together, healing, creating self-love and inner peace. This blueprint combines psychology, mind and spiritual healing, somatics, neuroscience, mindfulness, purpose work, and the development of emotional intelligence. It's a total mind, body, and soul awakening through the principles of Eastern and Western beliefs and practices. This blueprint has served thousands of women as it has been uniquely tailored to their individual journeys. Danielle's mission is to help women across the globe, whether it's through teaching, speaking, her widely popular Instagram page @getyourlifetogethergirl, her in-person/online courses, 1:1 session, or on The Get Your Life Together, Girl Podcast, where you can find meditations, mindset resets, tools and practices, and fascinating conversations with other female therapist and coaches. Vann is also a nineteen-time intentional award-winning author. Prior to working in mental health and healing, she spent years as a scriptwriter, reporter, and evening/morning news anchor. Danielle earned an Oklahoma Broadcast Education Associate award, an Associated Press Award, and an Emmy nomination. Her love of storytelling led her into writing. While Vann started her publishing career as a children's picture book author, she has expanded her genres to include Young Adult and Self-Help, which are her true passions. Her internationally award-winning Young Adult five-part series, The Whizbang Machine. Vann has received nineteen international and national awards and was named to the prestigious Texas Library Association's Texas Bluebonnet longlist. She is also an inductee of the Texas Authors Institute of History, the only museum dedicated to preserving authors' works and those who support writing and reading in Texas. In addition, Vann has penned two personal development/women's motivational books entitled: Get Your Life Together, Girl & You Are Not Broken & Your Life Does Not Suck, which are forthcoming. Danielle is also the author of Gracie Lou & the Bad Dream Eater and The Very Tall Tale of Ranger, the Great Pyrenees & His Adorable Friend, Miss Keys. Please please please watch Claim to Fame if you aren't already, it's such a great show. Franklin Jonas calls it "the nepo baby olympics". I have been a fan since I first heard the concept and was ready with my tv tuned into ABC for the pilot episode. I have interviewed players from season one and from season two, and now season three. Everyone has been so nice to talk to and the interviews are honestly some of my favorite that I have recorded. Have Mercy Cocktail (www.drinkmagazine.asia): Ingredients 35ml Aviation gin 7.5ml Atlantico Platino rum 7.5ml Dumante Verdenoce pistachio liqueur 7.5ml Ouzo 7.5ml Honey syrup 30ml Greek yoghurt 1 egg white Directions Shake without ice to emulsify, then add ice, shake and strain into collins glass. Let sit for 60 seconds, then gently add club soda to create the characteristic Ramos-style foamy head. Grate a toasted pistachio over the top. Hey guys and welcome back to my podcast! Last night was episode two of Claim to Fame on ABC and Hulu and it was a double elimination. Gracie Lou and Jill were both eliminated after incorrectly guessing Miguel and Adam's celebrity relatives wrong. Gracie is here to chat about her singing career and how it was pretending to be country! She chats about her uncle Jon Cryer coming to pick her up and what she would've done differently if anything. Jill chats about her Uncle John Stamos aka Uncle Jesse and how it was like growing up with him. They both tease what we can expect for the rest of the season and reflect on their experience on the show. And how they got casted for Claim to Fame. We also spin the wheel of chance and eliminate some more attractions on our way to condensing Walt Disney World into one park, also where will we place Sandra Bullock on the Walt Disney World property!
First up, Grace brought me a coffee, so she wins the award for the best guest. To be fair to the other guests, I haven't recorded an episode face to face in a while, but still, COFFEE! Grace burst onto the triathlon scene when she put on a finish line performance in her debut pro race in 2018 that had the crowd screaming as she kept falling to her knees. She is still relatively new to the sport, so can come across a little shy, however, I've gotten to know her over the past couple of years, and have even let her dog-sit Henry, so she felt comfortable chatting away. She's full of energy and passion, and we talk long-distance relationships, LAN parties, racing her Dad, playing dentists (what?) and I teach her about one of the best action tv shows ever - ALIAS! We're finally doing it! So excited to get our Game of Thrones podcast going. Karen and I have been doing the Walking Dead 'Cast for almost five years now, and we're every bit as excited about this amazing show as that one. In this first episode, we introduce ourselves and give you our background with the series and the books, and then we play a segment from a 2012 episode of Walking Dead 'Cast where we broadly covered our opinions of the series at the time, with some specifics about seasons one and two. In the aftermath of all the carnage at the prison, we were thrilled to see TWD find it's way back to the quiet, measured, dreamlike feel of the series pilot in this coming-of-age episode. Also this episode we announce the winner of our Walking Dead Hawaii poster contest, and you can also find out how to win a three-day pass to the quickly approaching Walker Stalker Con in Chicago (Mar 14-16). Season 4.5 is nearly upon us and we're excited to see what happens with the group all separated and vulnerable. This episode join Karen, Jason, and special guests Kirk Manley and Jeff Marsick, artist and writer of the insane zombie adventure comic Z Girl and the 4 Tigers, as we talk about all our hopes for the upcoming episodes (the guys' hopes generally involving gore, death, and extreme suffering, and Karen's involving picturesque zombieless islands and togetherness). As a special bonus, Kirk and Jeff give some great and sometimes surprising recommendations for zombie comics they think you should be reading, and we give you the latest news, read your emails, and yes, after three and a half years of podcasting, Karen and I finally reveal how we met. Don't miss it! Oh yeah, and don't forget to enter our new contest to win a Kirk-Manley-illustrated Walking Dead Hawaii poster and the first four issues of Z Girl! In this episode, Mr. Blahg, Gracie Lou, and special guest, me, review The Walking Dead issue #118, the fourth issue in the current All Out War mega-arc. This episode is entirely about the comic book, so if you're not caught up and don't want to be spoiled on it, hang tight and we'll catch you in a few. Two special guests today, as longtime listener, first time co-host Gracie Lou joins me to interview the talented Lauren Cohan, a.k.a. Maggie Greene. Lauren talks about why Maggie has been so hot and cold with Glenn, what she likes most about doing The Walking Dead, what it takes for a zombie to scare her, and a lot more. And best of all she gave us a particularly unique, rather animalistic zombie sound. Rather pterodactyl-like, I’d say…. :)Note: We talked with Lauren about upcoming story lines in the comic a bit, and so there are one or two potential spoilers. They’re just small ones, but if you’re completely spoiler-averse, you may want to skip this one (but then again as we’ve seen thus far, just because something happens in the comic doesn’t mean it will happen on the show). And by the way, if you like what we’re doing, we especially appreciate getting reviews (or even just ratings) and subscriptions in iTunes. It’s easy, and even better, free. Here’s how: 1. Find our iTunes page here and then click “View in iTunes” (or just search for us in iTunes). 2. In iTunes, click “Subscribe Free.” 3. Scroll down and click “Write a Review,” and then leave us an honest rating or review. We love hearing from you guys, so if you’d like to give us a call, you can call us at (650) 485-DEAD, or you can email us at brains@walkingdeadcast.com.
