Most men are good at one thing: Keeping going. Through stress.Through pain.Through things not quite working. Until eventually, it all starts catching up. In this episode, I'm joined by Cam Cordin, who at 44 found himself physically broken, in constant pain, his marriage collapsing, his work unstable, and at a point where he didn't want help. Instead, he made a private contract with himself: 911 days to rebuild his body and his life, or he was out. What followed wasn't a dramatic turnaround. It was a slow, methodical rebuild, built on simple, repeatable actions rather than big promises. What makes this episode different. This isn't about motivation or mindset. It's about doing basic things properly, consistently and how much difference that actually makes. Cam talks about things most men overlook: being chronically dehydrated and how it affects your thinking, stress levels and energy how clutter — physical and mental — creates constant background pressure why making decisions all day drains you more than you realise the importance of having simple systems so you don't rely on willpower why trying to do too much too fast usually leads to burnout Why you should listen Because a lot of men aren't broken. They're just: tired overloaded running on empty trying to think their way out of problems instead of simplifying things This episode is a reminder that sometimes the fix isn't complicated, it's about getting the basics right. What you'll take from this conversationwhy dehydration is more common than you think — and how it quietly affects mood, focus and stress how clearing your environment can reduce mental noise almost immediately why planning simple routines removes pressure and decision fatigue how small, structured actions can stabilise things when life feels off why discipline works best when it's simple and repeatable This is a conversation about stripping things back. Not adding more. Not chasing motivation. Just making your life easier to manage so you can think clearly again. If you want to find out more about Cam, visit his website savagechillstyle.com. You can find his book Savage Chill, Die to Live by Cam Cordin on Amazon.

Hey yall, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! In this first episode of 2026, I'm talking all about how to actually reset for the new year without feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or behind. New Year's resolutions can bring motivation, but they can also bring stress, pressure, and perfectionism, especially if you feel like you “should've done more” last year.In this episode, I share my approach to setting goals in 2026 by starting with an ideal vision, focusing on one habit at a time, and building momentum instead of trying to change everything at once. I break down why New Year's resolutions fail, how to make goals feel sustainable, and how to enjoy the process instead of rushing to the outcome.I also give a full update on what's been working for me in the gym — from training to failure, simplifying my workouts, improving my cardio, and overcoming gym anxiety, plus realistic wellness habits that support both physical and mental health during winter. We also talk about:✨How to stay motivated in January without burning out✨Why winter is for building habits, not perfection✨My current gym split, training style, and mindset shifts✨Cardio, steps, supplements, and grocery habits that support consistency✨How to handle crushes without losing your focus or energyIf you're looking for a realistic New Year reset, fitness motivation, or a grounded mindset shift to start 2026 strong, this episode is for you.✨ Let me know what habit you're focusing on this January and what you want more of this year.enjoy & dont forget to tweet/ig story me a screenshot of you listening!Preworkout I currently take: https://amzn.to/4jwPjT1Creatine I currently take: https://amzn.to/4jvbYPtGet $1000 off the health coach certification program I'm doing with promo code STELLACOACHING https://www.shareasale.com/u.cfm?d=1281553&m=96296&u=103026300:00 welcome to 2026 + the pressure of new year energy01:12 why new year motivation feels overwhelming02:13 imagining your ideal life + how you actually want to feel03:45 why everything in your life affects everything else04:36 why most new year's resolutions fail05:38 how to choose one focus instead of doing too much06:53 realistic january goals that actually stick07:58 why movement (even imperfect) matters more than motivation09:10 why january is about foundation, not instant results10:22 my gym journey + why consistency didn't always look perfect11:30 how i structure my workouts now12:58 training to failure + doing less but better workouts13:51 why slowing down movements changed my results15:10 creatine, pre-workout, and what actually helped16:32 cardio, steps, and why it won't ruin your gains18:14 how to get over gym anxiety as a woman19:45 grocery resets, freezer staples, and winter wellness21:15 supplements, vitamin d, and seasonal mental health22:49 how to handle a crush without losing your focus24:30 why crushes should fuel you, not distract you26:15 dating boundaries + not giving men the upper hand27:24 final thoughts on discipline, confidence, and locking in28:10 what i want you to focus on this january28:55 closing thoughts + what's coming next on the podcast#StellaRaePodcast

Well, let me tell you—I don't. Today I'm getting real about what happened when I, someone who literally teaches strategy and balance, hit the wall. I found myself burned out, empty, and crying out to God for help.   Here's the truth: even the strongest women hit a wall. And when I did, I realized that ‘getting my life together' didn't mean working harder or pretending I was fine. It started with one small, holy whisper: Get help. That whisper changed everything—my business, my faith, and my family.   In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on the exact steps I took to rebuild from burnout. We're talking therapy, coaching, household help, and why waiting for the ‘perfect time' keeps so many women stuck. If you've ever felt exhausted, overextended, or guilty for needing help, this one is for you. Asking for help isn't weakness—it's wisdom. And it's the first step toward freedom. Unlock the power of your inner voice and transform self-criticism into self-compassion as we dive deep with transformational life coach and author Sue Earhart to tackle that relentless inner critic we all face. This critical voice can sabotage confidence, relationships, and personal growth—and learn practical tools to silence it. Our inner voice shapes identity and can sabotage confidence and growth which is why we must get it right. Let's break it down… Key Points: Understanding the Inner Critic The inner critic is more than just occasional self-doubt; it's a habitual thought pattern that can significantly impact our self-perception and personal growth. According to Sue Earhart, this critic manifests in several ways: Self-Criticism: Constant negative evaluation. Playing Small: Setting limited goals due to doubt. Settling: Accepting less than what you desire. Conformity: Changing yourself to fit in at the expense of authenticity. Self-Sacrifice: Putting others' needs before your own. These patterns create barriers between who we are and our true potential. Transforming Self-Criticism Into Empowerment Sue suggests practical strategies to overcome these limiting beliefs: Recognize Habitual Patterns: Understand that these thoughts are learned habits, not reflections of your true self. Reframe Motivation Sources: Shift from using criticism as motivation to encouraging yourself through compassion. Create Positive Thought Habits: Practice real-time interventions by addressing critical thoughts as they arise rather than relying solely on affirmations. Practice Mindful Journaling (Logbook): Replace traditional task lists with a logbook highlighting both actions taken and their emotional impacts, fostering mindfulness and positive reinforcement. Value-Based Goal Setting & “I Want” Statements: Align tasks with personal values instead of external expectations or pressures—focus on intrinsic motivations over extrinsic rewards like approval or accolades. Question Negative Thoughts' Validity & Usefulness When faced with negativity ask if it's true or helpful which helps redirect focus towards productive thinking patterns instead! Feeling invisible is a heavy burden many carry, which means you're not alone. In today's conversation, we are delving into the profound impact of feeling unseen. Invisibility isn't just an emotion. When it lives within our emotional body, minds, and sould for long enough, it becomes ingrained into our sense of self. So, today, we are taking a one-on-one deep dive into transformative tools to reclaim your visibility from within. We're exploring how invisibility shapes your identity, understand its emotional weight, and learn actionable steps to reconnect with yourself. The distinction between guilt (the belief that one has done something wrong) and shame (the belief that one inherently is wrong) is crucial here. These feelings typically arise from environments or relationships where we aren't truly seen or acknowledged. Let's get right to it! KEY TAKEAWAYS: Feeling Invisible: Discusses the emotional weight of feeling unseen. Explores how invisibility affects identity and self-worth. Understanding Invisibility: Distinguishes between guilt ("I did something bad") and shame ("I am bad"). Encourages listeners to recognize their intrinsic value despite external perceptions. Tools for Reclaiming Visibility: Reflective Journaling Prompts: What did I feel today that no one else noticed? What truth do I wish someone had asked me about today? What part of me am I hiding? And why? Self-Affirmation Practices: Daily affirmations in front of a mirror to reinforce self-recognition and worthiness. Building Safe Connections: Identifying "spirit keepers" who genuinely see and support you. Creating a "Safe Person Map" to identify those who have made you feel known. The Ripple Effect of Connection: Encourages giving visibility to others as it fosters reciprocal energy exchange. Finding environments that reflect your true self enhances personal expansion over shrinking for acceptance. many of us grapple with the feeling of being invisible. This sensation can significantly impact our identity and self-worth, leading to a cycle of guilt and shame that is difficult to break. In a recent episode of "Get Your Life Together Girl," host Danielle Vann dives deep into this topic, offering insights and practical strategies for overcoming these feelings.   Practical Exercises for Self-Reflection To combat these negative feelings, foster self-awareness: Daily Ritual Questions: What feelings went unnoticed today? What truths do you wish were asked about you? What parts of yourself are you hiding and why? These questions encourage introspection and help individuals reconnect with their authentic selves. Positive Affirmations: Standing in front of a mirror each day and affirming your worth can be transformative. Simple statements like "I am worthy" or "I deserve to be seen" reinforce self-visibility. Building Supportive Environments An essential part of reclaiming visibility involves surrounding oneself with supportive people—what Danielle calls "spirit keepers." These are individuals who genuinely acknowledge us for who we are. Creating Your Safe Person Map This tool helps identify those who make us feel known and understood: List people in your life who have shown genuine interest. Reach out regularly to maintain connections. Express gratitude towards them, reinforcing mutual support. Additionally, critically assessing your environment is vital—seek spaces that reflect back authenticity rather than stifle personal growth. Reciprocity in Relationships Visibility isn't just about being seen; it's also about seeing others: Acknowledge Others: Small gestures like thanking someone sincerely or recognizing their efforts create reciprocal visibility. Cultivate Empathy: Surround yourself with communities where empathy prevails over narcissism—a space filled with genuine care fosters individual empowerment too! Actionable Takeaways: Engage in daily reflection with journaling prompts Practice positive affirmations regularly to build internal validation. Identify safe spaces and people where genuine connection is possible; nurture these relationships actively. Do you ever feel something but you can't put your finger on why? Do you ever react strongly to something seemingly small, only to realize it's linked to an unresolved past experience? Generally, it's an emotional response that needs to be traced back to it's root. Today, we are taking a one-on-one deep dive into exploring how to uncover the root causes of your emotions. Understanding the origins of your emotional triggers can bring you clarity and healing. We're breaking it all down, and I'll guide you through a powerful journaling technique to help release the emotions that no longer serve you, creating space for personal growth and peace. Let's get right to it! KEY TAKEAWAYS: Emotions are signals from our inner world, often pointing to unmet needs or unresolved conflicts. Emotional patterns are often rooted in past experiences, and understanding these can help break cycles of reactive behavior. Introspection and self-awareness are key in identifying and understanding your emotional responses. Journaling, specifically using the “Trigger and Release” method, can help uncover the root causes of emotions and allow you to let go of unhelpful patterns.   Understanding the Role of Emotions Emotions guide us through life, but when unprocessed, they can take control of our reactions and relationships. Emotional triggers often stem from past events and need to be explored for healing. The Power of Introspection By tuning into our inner world and observing recurring emotional patterns, we can start identifying their root causes. Self-awareness starts with fundamental questions like: What do I want? What do I need? How do I want to feel? Emotional Triggers: What Are They? Triggers are emotional reactions tied to past events, beliefs, or unresolved experiences. Recognizing your triggers allows you to better understand why you respond the way you do. The “Trigger and Release” Journaling Method The “Trigger and Release” Journaling Method: 1.   Step 1: Identify the Trigger Write down the situation that triggered a strong emotional reaction in you. Be as detailed as possible. Describe what happened, what you felt, who was involved, and where you were. The more details, the better. 2.   Step 2: Explore the Emotion Dig deeper into the emotion you felt. Did you feel angry, sad, frustrated, anxious, or something else? Write about the intensity of the emotion and when you first noticed it. Did it feel familiar? Have you experienced this feeling before in similar situations? 3.   Step 3: Trace It Back to the Past Try to connect the current emotional reaction to a past event or experience. Ask yourself: “When have I felt this way before?” Or, “What past experience is this reminding me of?” Often, you'll uncover that the root cause of the emotion is tied to an event or belief from your past that you haven't fully resolved. 4.   Step 4: Challenge the Belief or Perception Once you've identified the root cause, challenge the belief or perception associated with the emotion. For example, if you feel unworthy after a critique at work, ask yourself: “Is this belief about myself truly accurate? Does this one instance define my worth?” Reframing these negative beliefs can help you move past them. 5.   Step 5: Release and Let Go Finally, give yourself a path, create a plan for yourself. How can you release this? How can you change the reaction. Perhaps write a letter to yourself or the person involved, expressing your feelings and offering forgiveness, closure, or understanding. You don't need to send the letter—just writing it is a powerful way to release the emotion and let go of the past. Additional Exercises for Emotional Understanding: The Emotional Inventory - Track dominant emotions and identify triggers for a week. The Reflection Pause - Pause when emotions arise and reflect on their root causes. The Timeline of Events - Create a timeline of significant emotional events and reflect on their lasting impact. Takeaway: Your emotions are not enemies; they are powerful guides on your journey of self-awareness and growth. By identifying and understanding the root causes of your feelings through introspection and journaling, you can release emotional baggage and move forward with greater clarity and peace. Join the Conversation: We'd love to hear your thoughts on today's episode! What emotions or triggers have you identified recently? How has journaling helped you in your emotional journey? We're often bombarded with messages equating success with rapid achievement and instant gratification. Today we are diving into "slow hope," a sustainable form of hope that doesn't rush outcomes but allows time for healing and growth. Unlike traditional hope tied to quick results, slow hope builds resilience over time. Many feel hopeless amid life's challenges or cling desperately to change. Slow hope shifts this perspective by embracing patience and gradual progress. It encourages us not only to focus on end goals but also appreciate the journey itself. Slow hope isn't about instant fixes; it's about steady optimism through small steps toward big goals without burnout or frustration from unmet expectations. Embracing slow hope transforms how we handle uncertainty—building inner strength against setbacks—and fosters long-term personal growth free from constant stressors demanding quick solutions at every turn in our fast-paced world today! Let's break it down… Key Points: Understanding Slow Hope Unlike traditional hope that is tied to specific outcomes or quick resolutions—a mindset that can lead to burnout when things don't go as planned—slow hope is about fostering resilience through patience and trust in life's process. It encourages individuals not just to focus on immediate results but also on gradual progress over time. The Problem with Rapid Progress Our society's obsession with speed can create unrealistic expectations leading many people into cycles of stress or feeling inadequate when they don't achieve their goals quickly enough. By embracing slow hope instead: You release yourself from unnecessary pressures. You open up space for genuine healing. You cultivate an enduring sense of optimism even amidst uncertainty. The Concept of Hope Common perceptions of hope in moments of uncertainty Distinction between traditional hope and slow hope The introduction of 'slow hope'—a sustainable form of optimism Understanding Slow Hope Definition and characteristics of slow hope How slow hope differs from traditional hope Importance and benefits of slow hope in personal growth The Role of Slow Hope in Modern Life Challenges in modern life related to instant gratification and quick fixes The pressure of achieving rapid outcomes How slow hope provides a counterbalance to the fast-paced lifestyle Cultivating Slow Hope Step-by-step guide on how to develop a mindset of slow hope Techniques such as self-reflection, patience cultivation, and mindful progression Importance of breaking down big goals into smaller, manageable steps Embracing Uncertainty and Building Resilience Learning to embrace life's uncertainties through slow hope Building resilience by accepting life's ups and downs How a long-term perspective fosters growth and patience Changing Your Mindset with Slow Hope Shifting focus from immediate outcomes to the process of growth The impact of slow hope on reducing anxiety and stress Enhancing self-esteem and cultivating gratitude for small wins To practice slow hope: 1. Acknowledge where you are. 2. Release pressure for immediate results. 3. Break large goals into manageable steps. 4. Cultivate patience through reflection. 5. Celebrate small wins along the way. This approach reduces anxiety by focusing less on perfectionism or rapid achievements while fostering gratitude for everyday victories. The Power of Patience and Gratitude The crucial role of patience in slow hope Celebrating small victories and maintaining motivation over time Transforming daily life through the practice of gratitude The Quiet Strength of Slow Hope The quiet, persistent nature of slow hope as a force for change Understanding transformation as a journey, not a race Encouragement to embrace slow hope for personal empowerment Conclusion: By incorporating these strategies into everyday life practices consistently overtime will inevitably result increased levels satisfaction derived purely living authentically aligned values held dear personally speaking too importantly so much else besides merely achieving tangible milestones alone… Have you checked out the GYLTG Empowerment Hub on Apple? Women often find themselves juggling an invisible yet overwhelming mental load known as “caregiving.” This burden frequently stems from societal expectations that position us as primary caregivers, responsible for managing not only physical tasks, but also emotional and mental duties of not only ourselves but our partners, children, work obligations, at times parent obligations, to name a few. Today, we are deep diving into the concept of this mental load and breaking down its multifaceted impacts and how the ongoing demands take us further away from positive emotions. However, it doesn't stop there. Often unacknowledged or undervalued by society at large, this work can lead to feelings of isolation and exhaustions. These demands are deeply rooted in traditional gender roles that demand selfless nurturing without adequate support or recognition. The result? Burnout and a disconnection from one's own identity and desires. We must get into a space of reclaiming ourselves—this episode is the how you probably didn't know you needed! Let's get right to it… Key Points: Understanding Mental Load: Explore what constitutes the 'mental load'—the invisible work primarily shouldered by women. Discuss its impact on emotional and mental health for caregivers like mothers, partners, and daughters. Breaking Down Emotional Labor: Analyze why tasks such as organizing family schedules or managing household duties are emotionally exhausting. Recognize these responsibilities as a significant component of daily life stressors. The Importance of Self-Care: Emphasize prioritizing self-care to prevent burnout. Strategies for integrating personal needs alongside caregiving responsibilities. Redefining Caregiving Roles: Challenge societal expectations that place undue burden on women to be primary caregivers. Encourage shared responsibility among family members and community support systems. Setting Boundaries & Seeking Support: Practical advice on setting boundaries to alleviate overwhelming demands. Tips for having difficult conversations about dividing caregiving tasks more equitably. Reclaiming Personal Identity: Encouragement to reconnect with activities and passions outside of caregiver roles. Highlighting the importance of maintaining individuality amidst caregiving duties. Addressing Mental Health Crisis Among Women: – Discussion on how unaddressed mental loads contribute to anxiety and depression among female caregivers. – Urging listeners to acknowledge their limits without guilt or shame. Creating Cultural Change in Perception of Caregiving: – Promoting a shift towards viewing caregiving as a collective effort rather than an individual burden. Actionable Steps: Identify areas where your mental load is overwhelming; seek ways you can delegate or automate tasks. Have open discussions with partners/family about sharing responsibilities equally—both physical tasks and emotional support roles matter! Prioritize self-care by scheduling regular breaks; give yourself permission not just physically but mentally too! Reconnect with interests/hobbies that bring joy; remember who you were before becoming absorbed into full-time caregiver mode! Conclusion: Caregiving doesn't have to mean sacrificing oneself entirely—it's vital we redefine our approach so everyone thrives together! Remember—you're allowed rest & help isn't weakness but strength! Have you checked out the GYLTG Empowerment Hub on Apple? If I say the word “Fear,” what comes up for you? Do you immediately try to reject the thoughts that arise? Most people do. I coined the term “fear with a backbone,” some time ago. Yet, it wasn't until this week that I was granted a massive a-ha moment that brought perspective to my own life and the work I've dedicated myself to doing since 2016. This episode is not merely about identifying fear, but more so learning how to use your mindset to transform fear into a powerful catalysts for change across all five master areas of your life: mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial. While this is deeply personal, I hope this conversation is as powerful as the moment I received it. KEY TAKEAWAYS: Understanding Fear's Dual Nature Fear is universal; it knows no boundaries or exceptions. However, there's an intriguing dichotomy—fear can either paralyze you or it can be a driving force. Two types of fear: General Fear - Rooted in uncertainties and potential threats. Fear with a Backbone - Stemming from past experiences that have left tangible marks on our psyche and emotional body. It's used as the evidence to keep you held in place, AKA “stuck.” The Power of Choice Three different people's stories align and how it plays out, how two refused to succumb to fear and learned to thrive, and another has let it take them down. I share my battle with a near death experience due to toxic mold taking over my lung. The battle illustrates how mindset plays a pivotal role in overcoming adversities. The focus on gratitude amidst dire circumstances exemplifies resilience at its finest. Practical Applications Mindfulness: Regularly practice awareness around your thoughts/emotions. Positive Focus: Shift attention from negative patterns toward constructive outcomes. Resilience Building: View failures as stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks—they provide clarity about what truly matters moving forward! Mindset as a Tool for Overcoming Challenges: Real-life examples illustrating how mindset shifts can lead to resilience. The importance of gratitude in transforming negative experiences into growth opportunities. Using gratitude as an emotional frequency tool during recovery. Lessons Learned from Others' Stories: Comparing different approaches people take towards dealing with life challenges. How rehearsing positive outcomes rather than succumbing to negativity impacts reality. The Power of Thought Patterns: Training focus away from limiting beliefs towards abundance. – Navigating emotions like joy over anger through conscious thought redirection. Call To Action – Encouragements on practicing positive emotional states regularly. – Understanding that thoughts shape reality; choose them wisely! Notable Quotes: “Fear is real, but so is your potential.” “Your lived experiences do not have to be the frequency you emit.” #GetYourLifeTogetherGirl #FearWithABackbone #MindsetMastery #OvercomingFear #PersonalGrowthJourney #InspirationFromWithin #EasternAndWesternWisdom #DanielleBanPodcast #EmotionalResilience #BreakThroughBarriers #LiveEmpowered #TransformativeConversations #MindBodyConnection Have you checked out the GYLTG Empowerment Hub on Apple? Do you consider yourself a perfectionist? If so, is it you a silent saboteur or is it your secret weapon? Dr. Greg Chasson, the authority on perfectionism and author of “Flawed Why Perfectionism is a Challenge for Management” and I sat down to unpack perfectionism. It's often misunderstood as merely striving for excellence; however, it can push us to an healthy ambition into excessive self-expectations. Dr. Chasson explains that these expectations can stem from societal pressures or be projected onto others—creating a vicious cycle of unattainable goals followed by emotional devastation when those goals aren't met. We explore how perfectionism manifests in our lives, from societal pressures to personal expectations, and offer simple tools to help shift the focus. Let's dive in! KEY TAKEAWAYS: Understanding Perfectionism: Definition and how it manifests in our lives. Three core themes: Self-imposed expectations Projected perfectionism onto others Societal pressures The Impact of Perfectionism: How it can stop us from taking risks and make accomplishments feel inadequate. The trifecta effect when all three forces combine leading to a destructive cycle. Origins of Perfectionist Tendencies: Early signs in childhood reinforced by societal norms. Middle school as a common boiling point where responsibilities increase but perfectionistic tendencies persist. Identifying & Managing Perfectionism: Recognizing signs through behavior patterns like exhaustive to-do lists. Emphasis framework for task prioritization (A – give your all; B – just get it done; C – not at all). Cognitive Inflexibility & Rigidity: Challenges faced due to rigid thinking patterns preventing adaptation or change. Strategies for Overcoming Perfectionism: Exposure therapy practices such as completing tasks imperfectly on purpose. Understanding opportunity costs related to health, relationships, and time management. Control vs Flexibility Illusion of control associated with anxiety versus perceived lack of control in depression. Importance of balancing control by focusing on what truly matters according to personal values. Insightful Quotes By Dr. Chasson: "Perfectionism is not your friend; it's an absolute barrier to success." "You can't have everyone like you—life's about falling on your face sometimes." “What's the opportunity cost? What do we sacrifice in pursuit of perfection?” “It comes down to understanding what's within our control—and often letting go is the best use.” Actionable Takeaways: Reflect on areas where perfectionistic behaviors manifest most strongly in your life using self-awareness tools like journaling or cognitive-behavioral techniques Practice exposure exercises that challenge you gradually towards accepting imperfection without judgment or fear—start small! Use the emphasis framework regularly when planning daily activities/tasks ensuring alignment between actions taken based upon intrinsic values rather than external validations alone! Women's health care is not the same across the world. In the US and most western countries, women's health care is readily available, but we do know enough. Are we educated about our bodies and the basic fundamentals of our reproductive health? Mostly, the answer is no. As we spend 2025 leaning into our five masters, we are uncovering natural approaches to women's health. Dr. Monica Minjeur and I sat down to talk menstrual cycles, fertility, permimenopause and menopause, because if you want to empower yourself, you must empower the whole self. Perimenopause vs Menopause Explained: Perimenopause can start up to 10 years before menopause; characterized by irregular periods and symptoms like mood swings due to hormonal fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone levels. How both phases impact a woman Lifestyle Recommendations Across Reproductive Stages: Prioritizing sleep (aim for 8 hours). Regular movement/exercise (at least 30 minutes daily). Coming in hot for our Queer Futures series, we're bringing you an interview previously aired on For The Love's Premium Podcast channel with celebrity Peloton instructor, Cody Rigsby. Cody has gained a devoted following through his engaging and motivational fitness classes on the Peloton platform. He talks about his memoir "XOXO Cody: An Opinionated Homosexual's Guide to Self-Love, Relationships and Tactful Pettiness" in which he opens up about transitioning from professional dance to fitness, his relationship with his mother who struggled with addiction and bipolar disorder, and how he aims to empower others through vulnerability and self-love. With his vibrant personality and inspirational story, Cody has become a celebrity in his own right.  * * * Thought-Provoking Quotes: “I think the biggest obstacle to someone starting a fitness journey is feeling intimidated. You don't know what you're doing. You don't look like the people that are at the gym. Your body doesn't know what it's doing. So it's super overwhelming. So if you can take that and push it all to the side and just be like, ‘Okay, [where] in this space can I have fun?'” - Cody Rigsby “No matter how much we love anybody in our life, specifically our parents, dealing with addiction is hard. It's challenging. You don't really know the effects of it when you're a kid until you look back as an adult and be like, ‘Oh wow, that was really messed up.'” - Cody Rigsby “In life, it gets so busy. We're wrapped up in work, we really forget what life used to be or the struggles that we had and the aspirations that we have. Then you sit in the present and you have a moment of gratitude and say to yourself, ‘Wow, I have a lot of the things that I always wanted and I've let go of so many of the things that were holding me back.” - Cody Rigsby Resources Mentioned in This Episode: Cody on Dancing with the Stars - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JjDU_DKpeQ One Peloton Community - https://www.onepeloton.com/blog/  XOXO, Cody: An Opinionated Homosexual's Guide to Self-Love, Relationships, and Tactful Pettiness - https://bit.ly/3z0FkSN   Dancing with the Stars ft.
