In der Mai-Ausgabe der Schlagershow gab es wieder jede Menge Schlager und Talk-Gäste bei Simon Ladewig in der Sendung.  Zu Gast war diesmal Sänger Timsen, der ein ganz besonderes Album im Gepäck hatte: Es vereint Songs in verschiedenen Heimatsdialekten – Plattdeutsch, Kölsch oder Schweizerdeutsch – aufgenommen mit prominenter Unterstützung. Mit dabei: Stefanie Heinzmann oder Wolfgang Niedecken, die in der Sendung ebenfalls zu hören waren und spannende Einblicke in das Projekt gegeben haben. Ebenfalls dabei war: Denise Blum aus Brandenburg! Sie stellte ihren brandneuen Schlager vor und sprach mit Simon über ihre bisherigen musikalischen Stationen und Erfahrungen in der Schlagerszene. Und als dritter Gast: Vincent Gross! Der Schweizer Schlagersänger brachte mit Songs wie "Ouzo" oder "Heute gehen wir backen" echte Partystimmung in die Sendung. Er sprach über seine Karriere, seine Hits – und natürlich über sein aktuelles Duett mit Olaf der Flipper.

René Adler beglückt Meigl & Guido Ja, ja, der Bundesliga-Start ist mit Gladbach - Leverkusen, Freiburg - Stuttgart, Mainz - Union, Dortmund - Frankfurt, Wolfsburg - Bayern und RB gegen Bochum erschärft, beflügelt Fantasien. Der Aufreger der Woche kommt aber von der Säbener Straße, die in Sachen Ereignisdichte, Ouzo, Liebe, Sünde, Leidenschaft auch Lindenstraße genannt wird. Manuel Neuer steht ab sofort und fürderhin und bis in alle Ewigkeit nicht mehr im Tor der Nationalmannschaft, macht den Platz frei für Marc-André ter Stegen, der sich seit Jahrzehnten hinter und wegen Neuer den Hintern platt drücken musste. Die Podcast-Giganten Meigl & Guido haben das Ende der Ära Neuer unterschiedlich verpackt. Ein Standpunkt von Felix Feistel.In jüngster Zeit werden aus der Regierung immer wieder Vorwürfe an die Bevölkerung laut. Die Deutschen, so sind sich Finanzminister Christian Lindner und Wirtschaftsminister Robert Habeck einig, seien zu faul. Sie arbeiteten zu wenig, deshalb will Lindner den Deutschen wieder „Lust auf zusätzliche Leistung machen“. (1) Der Leistungsfetisch, eine typisch deutsche Geisteskrankheit, die zu einer moralischen Kategorie aufgeblasen wird, hält wieder Einzug in die gesellschaftspolitische Debatte. Nachdem in den vergangenen Jahren der Trend eher zur Arbeitsverkürzung und Bedingungslosem Grundeinkommen ging, ist der Deutsche nun plötzlich wieder zu faul, soll mehr arbeiten und dazu zu „zusätzlichen Leistungen“ angespornt werden.Was das bedeutet hat sich in der Vergangenheit schon häufiger gezeigt. Denn das Narrativ von der Faulheit wird stets benutzt, um einschneidende Maßnahmen in die Sozialpolitik vorzunehmen. Die Deutschen zu zusätzlichen Leistungen anzuspornen bedeutet, die Sozialhilfe, die Bezüge der Arbeitslosen, und vielleicht auch die Leistungen der Krankenkassen zu kürzen, und den Mindestlohn abzusenken, dafür aber Beiträge und Steuern zu erhöhen. Denn wer faul ist, der benötigt, so die Idee, einen kräftigen Tritt in den Hintern, da er es sich ansonsten in der sozialen Hängematte bequem macht.Schon die Einführung von Hartz IV unter dem vorgeblichen Sozialdemokraten Schröder und der massive Zwang, der mit diesem System einherging, wurden damit gerechtfertigt. Die faulen Arbeitslosen, so das Mantra damals, würden von allein einfach nicht mehr in die Gänge kommen. Sie seien es gewohnt, sich in der sozialen Hängematte auszuruhen, und dort auf unser aller Tasche zu liegen. So wurde der Hass auf Arbeitslose geschürt, und die Akzeptanz für den Abbruch der sozialen Errungenschaften dieses Landes gefördert. Anstatt die strukturellen Ursachen der Arbeitslosigkeit und vielleicht auch die damit einhergehenden, psychischen Krankheiten anzugehen und zu beseitigen, wird die Schuld einfach auf die Arbeitslosen verlagert, und der Arbeitslose zu einem Parasiten erklärt, der uns alle aussauge.Auch die finanzielle Erpressung Griechenlands im Zuge der Eurokrise wurde auf diese Weise gerechtfertigt. Die Griechen, so damals der Tenor, seien einfach faul, und deshalb pleite. Sie würden sich auf Kosten anderer EU-Länder einfach in der Hängematte ausruhen und Ouzo trinken. Echte, harte Arbeit kennen sie einfach nicht, und das konnte ja nur in einer Pleite dieses Landes enden. Die Bildzeitung verstieg sich dabei gar zu der Forderung, „Verkauft doch eure Inseln, ihr Pleite-Griechen.“ Es war wieder das Narrativ von der Faulheit einer bestimmten Menschengruppe, die auf Kosten anderer leben würde, denen man jetzt einfach mal den Geldhahn abdrehen müsste.Unter diesem Vorwand wurden den Griechen extreme Sparmaßnahmen aufgezwungen. Die Troika aus EZB, EU-Kommission und IWF, allesamt demokratisch nicht legitimierte Organe, haben den Griechen die Renten gekürzt, die Arbeitszeit verlängert und den Ausverkauf des Landes gefördert, unterstützt von der damaligen deutschen Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel und dem damaligen Finanzminister Wolfgang Schäuble. Die Folgen waren stark wachsende Armut, Hunger, Arbeitslosigkeit, ein Anstieg der Suizidraten und des Drogenmissbrauchs. Angelo is the Ouzo King!  I stopped by his shop (The Greek Shop) and got quite an education on the ouzo culture in Greece.  Ouzo is the National Drink of Greece, and Angelo explains to me the proper and customary way to drink it.His ouzo comes from the islands of Chios, Lesbos, and Samos - and also north and middle Greece.  All his flavors are in the 40% to 45% proof range.I loved drinking it chilled, and sampled an ouzo from Northern Greece that I ended up purchasing.  This anise-flavored liquor consists of pure ethyl alcohol and made from grape or grain, and distilled with aniseed.The Greek Shop120 Adrianoy, Athina 105-58, GreeceSupport the Show.
