This one was recorded in bits as we drove ourselves separately to Beaumont and Brenham, intercut with clips from a performance of "Suspicious Minds" filmed with Turbo's 360 camera. Patrick first shares a conspiracy theory about the donut incident from last week's episode (https://youtu.be/KChkUuC4vKw?si=cic7RrrNlVemIjBF&t=163) We then catch Chad having "a moment" while driving home from Beaumont, trying to articulate what an amazing reception we got from the audience at Logon Cafe that night. Then we see Turbo's killer drum solo in the middle of "Suspicious Minds" from our show at HSF Biergarten in Brenham, followed by an adlib from Patrick that apparently some people there thought was rehearsed. This week we continue our in-depth coverage of Night Demon's May 2023 tour of Ireland. This episode focuses on the band's triumphant midweek gig at Voodoo in Belfast, Northern Ireland. You will hear why the guys considered it to be a great show and a highlight of the tour that cemented Belfast as eagerly anticipated territory for future tours. They describe the venue, the gear, the powerful setlist, the energetic crowd, and why the circuitous path to the dressing room left them hiding behind a side stage curtain before their encore. This week we continue our narrative of Night Demon's spring 2023 tour of Ireland and the UK with an in-depth examination of their headlining gig at Sandinos in Derry, Northern Ireland. The boys explain why Derry is important to them and why their objective is to perform annually there. You will hear all about the highs and lows of the gig, including presales that vastly exceeded expectations, unfortunate arrays of tables and stools, the band's determination to be the thermostat rather than the thermometer, and so on. Extensive audio clips from the show are aired and Night Demon talk about how an untimely death made the night even more special for them.
