~~~ TL;DR: It's an updated remake of a Beastie Boys parody about Dr. Demento and Whimsical Will. ~~~ One of the most iconic 'Side 1, Track 1' songs in the history of Generation X is the first song on the legendary 1986 Diamond Certified debut album by the Beastie Boys "Licensed To Ill", titled "Rhymin' And Stealin'". ... Far less iconic is the great Luke Ski's 1997 Certified Plastic sophomore album "Shadows Of The Bunghole". For that album, I had the oh-so-clever idea to begin the album with a parody of "Rhymin' And Stealin'", with the gag being that if someone put the disc in and started playing it, another person nearby hearing the album start would be fooled into thinking the album playing was "Licensed To Ill", and then when the first sound bites and lyrics dropped, they would be overcome with a feeling of jocular bamboozlement. Whether or not that ever occurred in real life is unknown and assumed not ever have actually happened. After nearly 2 years of finally being able to listen to "The Dr. Demento Show" on the actual radio, I felt the need to pay tribute to the show, to Dr. Demento (a.k.a. Barret Hansen) himself, as well as the weekly purveyor of the "Demented News" on the show, "Whimsical Will" Simpson. So that led me to make a parody of the aforementioned Beastie's song, titling mine "The Doctor And William". I call this type of song a 'forced parody', in which there is no clever wordplay or other logical or parallel connection between the original song and subject matter being discussed in the parody, making it obvious that the author (in this case, me) just REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to parody THAT SONG about THAT SUBJECT despite the fact that it doesn't make any sense to do so intellectually. So, having copped to that, I still really liked what I did with it, with my other MCs making up my Beastie parody trio being J. Styles (Jason Stahl, best friend since the 4th grade) and DJ Skrabble (my brother J.T. Sienkowski). The good Doctor never played this track on his show, but Whimsical Will did report on the song during the July 6th, 1997 edition of the Demented News. 27 years later, an impending celebration of Dr. Demento's birthday made me think it would be fun to give this track an update and perform it live at the celebration with the help of some friends. So I commissioned Professor Shyguy to make a new backing track (and also mix this final studio version), so that I, the great Luke Ski (doing the King Ad-Rock parts), along with Devo Spice (MCA) and Tony Goldmark (Mike D.), and also along with the chanting assistance of Chris Mezzolesta of Power Salad, Insane Ian, and ShoEboX of Worm Quartet, performed it for Dr. D. to the jocular bamboozlement of everyone in attendance. In conclusion, for the millionth time, thank you to Barret Hansen, a.k.a. Dr. Demento, and "Whimsical Will" Simpson, for bringing so much joy, laughter, and found family together with your decades upon decades of demented news, mad music, and crazy comedy. We owe it all to you. And we will never ever forget to stay deee-mented! Will the good Doctor play "The Doctor And William (2025 Edition)" on his show? Perhaps he might if the fans REQUEST for him to play it, either from "The Dr. Demento Show" Request Page, or post it with the word REQUEST at The OFFICIAL Dr. Demento Show Facebook Page!
The deep dive concludes! Lauren and Insane Ian are diving into Side 2 of Dare to be Stupid. From polkas to parodies and everything in between (mostly in between), they unpack the genius of Al's songwriting, discuss the sheer weirdness and brilliance of these tracks, and probably go off on a few hilarious tangents along the way. Will they dare to be even stupider this time? During FuMPFest 2024 members of The FuMP were invited to Escape from the Secret Lab by Dr. Milo T. Pinkerton of the Consortium of Genius. This was a command performance that Devo Spice, Luke Ski, Insane Ian, and Chris Mezzolesta took part in. If they did well they'd be spared. If not, they would be crushed under a 16 ton weight. One of the challenges was an Instant Song, where the performers were required to come up with a song "on the spot." So Chris provided a funky riff on the guitar while Devo, Ian, and Luke each did short verses about their experiences being kidnapped by the COG. This is a recording of that performance. We are proud to report that The FuMP was spared. This recorded is just one of many you can hear on the new FuMPFest 2024 - Live! 2-CD compilation! The album features two hours of music recorded at FuMPFest 2024 and features performances by Pastor Hastur, Holy Bongwater, 2d6, Ross Childs, Steve Goodie, Carla Ulbruch, and our guest of honor The Consortium of Genius! Plus bits from the Live Podcasts panel, the Dumb Parody Ideas contest, Movie Time, the QandA, and more! Pick up your copy now in the store.
A few weeks ago Insane Ian came on The FuMPCast to plug the Logan Awards. He explained that when nominating songs you have to submit five entries, and if you don't have five entries just put a placeholder in for the others and he would figure it out. As a suggestion he said to write "Ian is made of beans." We then discussed which of us was going to write that song. I suspect many FuMPCast listeners will write their own song with this title. This is my entry. Lyrics, music, vocals: Devo Spice Brak impression: the great Luke Ski
On the 2003 album of nerdcore pioneer mc chris titled "Knowing Is Half The Hassle", he did a track called "White Kids Love Hip-Hop" which featured his fellow [adult swim] voice acting star Andy Merrill doing the voice of his "Space Ghost Coast To Coast" and "Cartoon Planet" character Brak delivering a rant about how how he couldn't find anything fun to do in the town where he lives. Every year at the MarsCon Comedy Music Track there is a concert called the 'Smackdown' where all of the acts that performed that weekend come back on stage to close the weekend by taking turns doing cover versions of their favorite comedy songs. I, the great Luke Ski, have a long bucket list of comedy songs I love that I would love to perform a cover version of someday at the Smackdown concert. "White Kids Love Hip-Hop" has been on that list for years, with my assumption being that if I ever did it, the 'Brak' part would have been played by me doing my impersonation of Brak, as I had done for my 1998 tribute song "Baby Got Brak". In 2024, we were fortunate enough to book Andy Merrill as the Comedy Music Guest Of Honor at MarsCon. I was ecstatic. As I continued working on plans for the event, I eventually got around to looking at my bucket list of potential cover songs so I could pick one to cover at the Smackdown. When my eyes came upon the title "White Kids Love Hip-Hop", it hit me like a power band blast... I could cover "White Kids Love Hip-Hop" and ask Andy Merrill himself to reprise his role as Brak for the rant at the end of the song. I asked him if he'd be willing to, and he said yes. And the audio record of that actually happening in real life is what this FuMP track is. After we performed it, Andy took his turn at the Smackdown and performed a couple of "Weird Al" covers to finish off the weekend. I reached out to both mc chris and Andy Merrill to get their permission to post this live cover at the FuMP, and they both graciously said yes. So many thanks to both of them, you both have been inspirations to me, and have always been nice to me, which means a lot to this middle-aged fanboy. I admit, I do trip up a few of the lyrics in my performance, but I still think it went great, and it's one of my all-time favorite MarsCon memories that I wanted to share with everybody here at the FuMP. Music by Professor Shyguy Back-up White Kids: Lindsay Smith and Insane Ian This track is a part of the MarsCon 2025 Comedy Music Track Fund Raiser album, which is a nearly 4-hour-long MP3 album of live concert excerpts from MarsCon 2024, available to download for just $30 at the Shop page of MarsCon Comedy dot com. Besides the great Luke Ski and Andy Merrill, it also has performances by Insane Ian, Power Salad, Nuclear Bubble Wrap, Holy Bongwater, Jake Dewar, and many others. The funds raised go towards covering the hotel room costs for the performers of MarsCon 2025. Speaking of which, MarsCon 2025 is happening March 7th thru 9th in the Twin Cities, MN, and features our Comedy Music Guests Of Honor, John S. Hall and Dogbowl of King Missile (Dog Fly Religion), sponsored by Needlejuice Records. Back in 2013 (yes, TEN YEARS AGO) I did a Kickstarter to make a concept album where I would review video games with songs. One of the higher tier rewards allowed folks who pledged to have me write a song about the person who pledged. However, Mad Mike Buecler decided his song would not be about him, but instead be part of his "GroundhogCow" saga, specifically about how you can use a Banjo to solve any problem. I took this idea and ran with it. This song can be found on my newest B-side collection, Smarm-Proof Lobster Cabinet, available now!
When Loki season 1 was finishing up, things were pointing towards the main villain being a variation of the comics character Kang, and "BANG!" by AJR was already a hit on the radio at the time. So in a fit of inspiration, I watched the final episode of the season when it aired, then IMMEDIATELY wrote this parody, and released it on YouTube THE VERY NEXT DAY. Probably the quickest turn around I've ever done on a pop culture song. However, I never got to release it to the FuMP because of that quick turn around. So because season 2 of Loki was just announced (and also, more pertinent to this recording in particular, the FuMPFeST live compilation is due out soon) I decided to post this live version here now. Enjoy!
As a delivery person, I listen to the radio in my car A LOT. And one song I hear over and over is "Unholy" by Sam Smith and Kim Petras. You've probably heard it yourself (or at least heard all the hubbub about it from the Grammy's recently). Also as a delivery person, I notice that many folks' eating habits are TERRIBLE. So, I decided to combine these into one song, and I got dirty pop songstress Twill Distilled to join me. Finally there will be a parody of this song on TikTok that isn't a blatant Christian flip on the phrase "holy". From my new b-side collection, "Smarm-Proof Lobster Cabinet" available now!
Comics can come from some weird places. Which most of the time is a shot at the writer or artist and the fact that they're a weirdo. But sometimes is just a basic factual statement. You know, like when a nation makes a comic about a war they had no part in just because. But who would ever do a thing like that? Not Insane Ian, but he did stop by the show to talk about North and South which does exactly that. Except under the name Les Tuniques Bleues if you're reading it in the original French but known as The Bluecoats when translated into English. Yes, I know there are plenty of songs about the benefits of a pantsless existence (one of which I participated in and even reference here) but this new song by P!nk was too good to not give the parody treatment to, despite some -- myself included -- feeling this may be more in the "dumb parody ideas" realm. How about Valiant? Yup, that's what happened. On this weeks episode we speak with comedy music artist and nerdcore rapper, Insane Ian! We talked about a lot of things including, Dr. Demento, MC Lars, The FuMP, FuMP Fest, videogame raps, and much more! In this episode you will hear Ian talk about his work with Dr.Demento, helping run The FuMP and the state of comedy music. We got in a little deep about the stigma around comedy music, and the perception of the “mainstream” when it comes to the art that is comedy music and parody. We also discuss Ian’s background with videogames, reviews, and how this influenced him to work on an album of “Reviewsicals” which are videogame review songs. We discussed FuMP Fest as well, which is an event in Chicago, IL that highlights and celebrates comedy music and its artists. The Baltimore transplant has found a home in Chicago hosting the annual FuMP Fest (Funny Music Project Festival) and regularly releases hilarious original and parody music as Insane Ian. One of MC Frontalot's favorite artists of all time, Ian sat down with me to talk about his creative process, his business model, and the differences between the YouTube and old-school nerdcore artists. Here's an extra-special, extra-weird show we've been meaning to unleash for a few weeks. It's the adventures of Kornflake and Doornail at MarsCon 2019! Yeah, we already discussed MarsCon (the Minnesota science fiction convention which also hosts our beloved Dementia Track of comedy music) back in Flopcast episode 358. But now you'll get the whole story, from both Kornflake and our perpetually giggling Flopcast correspondent, Doornail! You'll hear even more about all our Dementia Track friends (Insane Ian, Cutesylvania, TV's Kyle and Linzilla, Power Salad, the great Luke Ski, Devo Spice, Jeff Whitmire, Michael Hunter, Carrie Dahlby, the Library Bards, and more), plus the Logan Awards, Dementia Smackdown wrestling, Kornflake's Dementia Water Aerobics, the Space Oddity Music Club and Brew Pub, late night fake mustache karaoke, Boob Tree, and mini-golf at the Mall of America. Can Kornflake and Doornail recall their entire wacky MarsCon weekend before they get kicked out of a bookstore café? Let's find out. Ladies, commence giggling...
It’s silly cape movies for little babies this week, as pop culture musical parodist Insane Ian joins Nathan and Clint this week to talk about a couple kid-friendly superhero movies - DCEU’s recent (and surprisingly solid) Shazam!, and Disney’s mid-aughts superhero/high school comedy Sky High. Plus, we talk with Ian about “Weird” Al Yankovic’s influence on his music, and what makes him just so neat. (And why you should pledge to Nathan’s Kickstarter for The Weird Accordion to Al in the final days of the campaign!) 6:14 - Scalding Hot Takes: Shazam! 32:40 - Control Nathan and Clint: Sky High 51:09 - Ian Talks “Weird” Al 1:13:56 - Mailbag 1:20:25 - Happy Places Follow us on Twitter at @RabinsCast (Nathan: @nathanrabin, Clint: @clintworthing)! Kornflake braved the subzero temperatures of winter in Minnesota, and now she's back with her annual report from MarsCon! It's the science fiction convention that also has a whole track of comedy music, and this year's performers included old and new Flopcast friends like Insane Ian, Cutesylvania, TV's Kyle and Linzilla, Power Salad, the great Luke Ski, Devo Spice, Jeff Whitmire, Michael Hunter, Carrie Dahlby, the Library Bards, and more! Plus: Airport security adventures, vermin at the Mall of America, Dementia Smackdown wrestling, the Logan Awards, scary Klingon drinks, scary Ikea breakfasts, a million mustaches, and of course, Kornflake's Dementia Water Aerobics. In the Upper Midwest, they fight the cold with silliness, and it works.
In this episode, Matt welcomes back nerd, comedian, game enthusiast, and musician Insane Ian! The two catch up on Ian’s life since his last Crash Chords appearance 3 years ago. Their conversation ranges from Ian’s appearance with Beefy (“I Don’t Get It”) on Vince Vandal’s latest record, FNFII: Advanced Friends & Fandoms, to his project with fellow comedy musician TV’s Kyle called Scooter Picnic and their latest song “This Groove (Is Too Dope For Us).” They also talk about Ian’s upcoming solo work, his YouTube series “1st Ian-pressions,” as well as how recent life events have affected his focus and his music. Despite a delightful series of weather-related delays and flight cancellations, Kornflake has returned from Minnesota with a full report on MarsCon! It's one of our very favorite conventions, thanks to its Dementia Track of comedy music concerts, under the direction of our pal the great Luke Ski. Performers this year included Luke, Donita Smith, Marc with a C, StarF and Mattari 2600, brentalfloss, Power Salad, Devo Spice, Insane Ian, TV's Kyle and Lindzilla, the Library Bards, the Faithful Sidekicks, Beth Kinderman, Karl Brown, and Carrie Dahlby! Plus: Dementia Smackdown Wrestling, Geek Bellydancing, Boob Tree (it's a game), Use Your Words (also a game), and of course... Kornflake's Dementia Water Aerobics! Hop in the pool, kids; we like to leave our fellow geeks soaking wet and exhausted.
Join us as Kornflake prepares for MarsCon (March 2-4 in Bloomington, Minnesota)! Many friends of the Flopcast from the comedy music scene will be there too! The MarsCon Dementia Track will feature performances by the great Luke Ski, Power Salad, Insane Ian, Devo Spice, TV's Kyle and Lindzilla, the Library Bards, Marc With a C, brentalfloss (your Music Guest of Honor), and many more. And be sure to get up early and get in the pool, because yes, our own Kornflake is bringing Dementia Water Aerobics back to MarsCon. Let's see if there are any survivors this time. Also this week: Pangolins, the Pudding Pages, and perhaps a skink.
Kornflake is back from Minnesota with a full report on MarsCon, which featured performances by: Carrie Dahlby, the great Luke Ski, Mikey Mason, Devo Spice, Marc with a C, Power Salad, Insane Ian, the Library Bards, and Guest of Honor Judy Tenuta! Plus: Dementia Smackdown Wrestling, Kyle and Luke Talk About Toons, the Space Oddity Music Club and Brew Pub, Klingons, karaoke, and a chicken! And yes, Kornflake found a way to terrify the hotel staff while preparing for her Dementia Water Aerobics class. We also play a round of What's in the Bag, celebrate Swedish waffles, and get Kevin's report from Northeast Comic Con, featuring Adam West and Burt Ward in the middle of an abandoned department store. So it was a busy week. Next week we're staying home.
Kornflake is back from Chicago, where she was surrounded by some of our favorite silly people at FumpFest, a whole crazy convention of comedy music! Her adventures included Dementia Water Aerobics, field trips away from the convention for weird theater and weird French toast, receiving more lobster-themed gifts, and smashing up a rental car like she was in Hazzard County. There were also plenty of hilarious performers, of course, including Devo Spice, Carrie Dahlby, Seamonkey, Worm Quartet, The Gothsicles, Rob Paravonian, Tim Cavanagh, Tom Smith, Dino-Mike, Megathruster, 2D6, and FumpFest Guests of Honor Paul and Storm! Kornflake even brought us a special Flopcast interview with The Library Bards, Bonnie and Xander! (And listen carefully for cameos from Jaykitty, Insane Ian, and the great Luke Ski!) We also have a "What's in the Bag" segment (featuring a mysterious liquid Kornflake acquired in Chicago), and we're celebrating National Elephant Day. So come on -- this is the most Fumpfestive podcast you'll hear all day.
Today, Matt welcomes Austin Aeschliman of Smashy Claw, an experimental rock duo from Longmont, Colorado consisting of guitarist Austin and keyboardist Nathan Long. A veritable engine for new ideas, Smashy Claw is currently engaged in a year-long project to release a new song every week, each accompanied by a brand new YouTube video. Presented for general entertainment (and to spur public interest in the group), these songs are currently compiled into Smashy Claw's newest record, Claw Machine. With Matt, Austin discusses the band's name & its inception, his early influences and what spurred him to start writing, as well as the band's writing process. Also touching upon the band's primary sources of inspiration, Austin discusses plans for the future of Smashy Claw and their involvement with The FuMP, of which former Autographs guest Insane Ian is also a member. Filled with macabre imagery, surrealist overtones, and brought to life by its talented animators, Smashy Claw's YouTube channel won't disappoint. So go ahead, check it out, and support the project. Kevin and Kornflake are back in Chickentown, but can't stop screaming about FuMPFeST! This week we review our whole crazy weekend at this funny music convention in Wheeling, Illinois (a town Kornflake would visit just to have breakfast). Highlights include: Kornflake's water breaking (what?), an Inspector Gadget chorus, Kenny Rogers-themed water aerobics, a Pod of Destiny field trip to see the Neo-Futurists, The Logan Awards, a shocking allegation from The Boobles, Dumb Parody Ideas, Dementia Smackdown Wrestling, Doornail spilling stuff, and the ancient art of "padlockigami." Plus, of course, performances by Insane Ian, Bad Teenage Moustache, TV's Kyle and Lindzilla, Tim Cavanagh, Drew Jacobs, the great Luke Ski, Steve Goodie, Carla Ulbrich, The Arrogant Worms, Smashy Claw, Matt Griffo, Todd Chappelle, Devo Spice, Carrie Dahlby, Power Salad, Rhiannon's Lark, and more! Also: Apparently we have to wear sparkly fairy wings this week. One of us is not happy about this.
Kevin and Kornflake are back in Wheeling, Illinois for the second annual FuMPFeST comedy music convention! And we're joined by our regular giggling, coffee-spilling correspondent, Doornail! Also on the show this week: Alyssa (of Rhiannon's Lark), DJ Particle, and FuMPFeST performers Todd Chappelle and Carla Ulbrich! Plus cameos by Tim (aka Poohbear) and Blasted Bill! Topics of discussion include: Doornail and Alyssa's college days (breakfast was a rare event; being stared at creepily was not), Mad Mike's wine, Seamonkey's beer, dating Amish women, saying hello in Klingon, wearing a Snuggie at an Arrogant Worms concert, and an insane phone call with Insane Ian. (Plus lots of immature giggling about boobs, because we're so classy.) Note: This episode was recorded in the hallway just outside the main FuMPFeST concert room, so expect a little background noise here and there. And if you think there wasn't a maniac in a Spider-Man costume lurking around through the whole show... you are quite mistaken.
Prepare your ears for Insane Ian, parody artist and comedy musician extraordinaire from Baltimore, Maryland. Also a member of the The Funny Music Project (a.k.a. The FuMP), Ian is here to chat with Matt about how he got started down the path of hilarity, and about what goes into creating a solidly funny sketch on a comedy album. His latest album, Internet Famous, has a title track featuring Chris Ballew of The Presidents of the United States of America. Hear about how that connection developed, the origins of the FuMP, about music, movies, gaming, and more, in this Insane-ly entertaining interview! Continue reading
Kevin and Kornflake prepare to run screaming out of Chickentown, because it's almost time for FumpFest! This is a comedy music convention, so we'll be hanging out with all our demented friends (such as Insane Ian, Power Salad, Dan Hart, Carrie Dahlby, Luke Ski, Devo Spice, Worm Quartet...), plus a bunch of silly performers we'll be meeting for the first time. (Hopefully our beards of bees will make a positive first impression.) FumpFest also has the Logan Awards (for excellence in comedy music), live onstage podcasts (including The Flopcast!), Dementia Smackdown Wrestling (time for Kornflake to defend her title), and... DOCTOR DEMENTO! So yikes, kids, get yourselves to Wheeling, Illinois, June 20-22, for FumpFest! Bring a duck, perhaps.
We tackle all the pressing issues of the day, such as: Dementia Smackdown Wrestling, Dementia Water Aerobics, Kevin's new all-time favorite convention costume, Kornflake freaking out over meeting Doctor Demento, and how to frighten old ladies at TGI Fridays. Plus: Lindsay provides a super-violent edition of "What's in the Bag"! Hang on, kids -- if you want to hear a dozen people screaming at the same time and having way more fun than you, we've got you covered this week.
Hi, and welcome to the Open Licensed Music Podcast, the show where we highlight music from artists who let you share their music. I'm Ralph Wacksworth, and today's episode is featuring funny music, all of which has lyrics.Quantum Entanglement (2:36) - The FuMP - BandCampAA Battery Controlled Telescopic Knife (3:33)Love and Romance Game (3:03) - Jamendo - Internet ArchiveYou Might Be (4:29)It's F***ing Cold Outside (edited) (1:29)That was Quantum Entanglement by Glen Raphael, which is available from The Funny Music Project or his BandCamp website. While you're at it check out some of his other songs on his BandCamp site - he's got some really hilarious stuff on there. After that was AA Battery Controlled Telescopic Knife by Look Left, which is available from The Funny Music Project. Then we had Love and Romance Game by Mind Cabaret, which used to be available from Jamendo but is now available at The Internet Archive. Next up was You Might Be by Insane Ian, which is available from The Funny Music Project. Finishing up was a maybe just a wee bit censored version of It's F***ing Cold Outside by Fortress of Attitude, which is available from The Funny Music Project. All five songs in this set are licensed under an Attribution Noncommercial Share-Alike license.As of right now, when I'm putting this episode together, that song's currently hilariously relatable, however from the weather it's looking like by the time this airs it'll be a bit warmer. Regardless, I don't normally like to play songs that I have to heavily censor, but that song was such a humdinger I figured it was worth censoring anyway. I try to keep this podcast pretty much squeaky clean. Hope you enjoyed it.Kittens for Sale (2:45)Firm Thighs (2:08)Sprinkles On My Donut (4:30)Autocomplete (Featuring Worm Quartet) (edited) (4:43)I Love Doritos (2:05)That was Kittens for Sale by TV's Kyle, which is available from The Funny Music Project. After that was Firm Thighs by Fuzzy Logic, which is available from Jamendo. Then we had Sprinkles On My Donut by Art Paul Schlosser, which is available from The Funny Music Project Sideshow. And, yeah, pretty much all of his songs are like that. Next up was a somewhat edited version of Autocomplete (Featuring Worm Quartet) by Devo Spice, which is available from The Funny Music Project. And finishing up was I Love Doritos by Todd Chappelle, which is available from The Funny Music Project Sideshow. All five songs in this set are licensed under an Attribution Noncommercial Share-Alike license.Today's app-of-the-day is Mozilla Thunderbird, an e-mail client program. It has functionality for checking, organizing, and sending e-mail from multiple providers and has a ton of plugins available which allow you to add even more functionality to it. One plugin in particular I like is called Lightning, which adds calendar functionality. It's very easy to use, easy to install, and is free and open source. It's available for Linux, OS/2, OpenSolaris and OpenIndiana, BSD, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows. Download it today from mozilla.org/thunderbirdNow for a short noncommercial break from one of our nonsponsors, followed by more music. And as a heads-up, the first song in the next set is a really hard to locate joke that, if you get it, is hilarious, but if you miss or otherwise can't understand the first couple words it won't make any sense. The joke is explained afterward, but keep your ears peeled.The FuMPLorem Ipsum (4:33)Free Water (edited) (4:21)Best Game Ever (edited) (4:31)T.F.O.S. (2:35)The New Me (edited) (3:30)That was an edited version of Podcast Promo by The FuMP, which is available from The Funny Music Project and is licensed under an Attribution Noncommercial Share-Alike license. After that was Lorem Ipsum by kerrymarsh, which is available from SoundCloud and is licensed under an Attribution license. Those of you with design experience may have recognized that they were singing filler text called Lorem Ipsum. Anyway, then we had a slightly edited version of Free Water by Redbox and the Chilipeppers, which is available from The Funny Music Project and is licensed under an Attribution Noncommercial Share-Alike license. Now, you'd think this'd be common sense, but based on conversations with some people, please don't do that. Someone has to pay for your utility usage, be it water, gas, electricity, or otherwise and if it's not you it's just going to be made up for in your costs somewhere else eventually. Rant aside, next up was a slightly edited version of Best Game Ever by Mikey Mason, which is available from The Funny Music Project and is licensed under an Attribution Noncommercial Share-Alike license. After that was T.F.O.S. by Eoghnved Mmrkuudnen, which is available from The Funny Music Project Sideshow and is licensed under an Attribution Noncommercial Share-Alike license. And finishing up was an edited version of The New Me by Dino-Mike, which is available from The Funny Music Project and is licensed under an Attribution Noncommercial Share-Alike license.So, that's all for today. We've said this before, but yikes, this is a bizarre episode, even by Flopcast standards. Let's see... in this week's Pudding Pages segment, Kevin and Kornflake learn all about weird 1970s lipstick. Really. Then our Chickens in the News segment takes us to the thriving metropolis of Chicken, Alaska (and if you like bluegrass festivals, chicken suits, and being in the middle of nowhere, this is your kind of town). Finally Kornflake brings us a rather silly interview from LukeSkiCon with comedy musician Insane Ian! Will Kornflake and Ian get thrown out of an arcade in the middle of the interview? Let's hope so; that'd be funny.
For ten years now, Prometheus has hosted the Friday night opening festivities at Baltimore's Farpoint convention. This year, we were joined by the Boogie Knights, Jonah Knight and Insane Ian.
